:00:14. > :00:20.Welcome back. You are watching Outside Source. Let's take a look at

:00:21. > :00:29.some of the news in the BBC News room. Ted Cruz is trying to stop

:00:30. > :00:36.Donald Trump's march to the nomination. Football history made.

:00:37. > :00:39.Leicester City going from narrowly avoiding relegation last year to

:00:40. > :00:51.Premier League champions in one season. The European Commission

:00:52. > :00:57.looks set to allow these access for Turkish citizens. That does not

:00:58. > :01:12.include the UK. -- these access. Please send us your questions on

:01:13. > :01:17.Twitter. Travelling into the European Union is expected to get a

:01:18. > :01:24.lot less complicated the Turkish citizens. The European Commission is

:01:25. > :01:30.expected to back Visa free travel in the Schengen area on Wednesday. The

:01:31. > :01:35.change would open up 26 countries to Turkey. Some countries like the UK

:01:36. > :01:39.and remain you seen here in dark blue are not part of the Schengen

:01:40. > :01:44.agreement and they will remain off-limits. Sources have told the

:01:45. > :01:49.Europe editor that there is a huge motivation to reach an agreement on

:01:50. > :01:53.this. You can read the in-depth analysis on the website. Let's hear

:01:54. > :02:00.from our correspondent who has been getting reaction in Turkey.

:02:01. > :02:04.This is the ritual for Turks to travel to the EU -

:02:05. > :02:06.incessant queues, visa applications sometime rejected.

:02:07. > :02:13.Brussels is likely to recommend that Turkey should now get visa-free

:02:14. > :02:16.travel to the EU Schengen zone, with the recent migration deal.

:02:17. > :02:30.And for the basic rights of free travel.

:02:31. > :02:33.This is the trade: Turkey accepting migrants deported from Greece

:02:34. > :02:40.In return, Ankara gets money, progress on EU concession

:02:41. > :02:48.The Turkish government knows it has leverage over Europe -

:02:49. > :02:57.the Prime Minister insisting no visa waiver, no migration deal.

:02:58. > :02:59.Visa-free travel has been Turkey's dream since it applied for EU

:03:00. > :03:03.Other countries, from the Balkans to South America, have achieved it.

:03:04. > :03:05.But the EU is somehow more apprehensive about Turkey,

:03:06. > :03:08.and as Euroscepticism and the right wing have risen across Europe,

:03:09. > :03:13.so have fears about an 80-million strong Muslim country.

:03:14. > :03:18.But some say the fears are created by populist EU politicians.

:03:19. > :03:21.Many of the public, and even some of the political elites,

:03:22. > :03:25.they have this image of millions of Turks flooding

:03:26. > :03:28.into the EU looking for work, sharing their employment benefits.

:03:29. > :03:32.But this would not really be the case, because it doesn't give

:03:33. > :03:39.It doesn't give them the right to seek social welfare benefits

:03:40. > :03:44.But is this the government Europe should reward?

:03:45. > :03:46.Attacking those protesting its takeover of an opposition

:03:47. > :03:53.newspaper, another sign of growing authoritarianism.

:03:54. > :03:55.Critics have been silenced, and violence stoked in Kurdish

:03:56. > :03:58.At one opposition channel that the government is trying

:03:59. > :04:01.to take off air, they worry about plummeting press freedom

:04:02. > :04:07.and Europe kowtowing to President Erdogan.

:04:08. > :04:10.The EU should stick on its principles this time.

:04:11. > :04:14.If everything will be given to the Turkish government under

:04:15. > :04:16.these circumstances, I believe the government and Erdogan

:04:17. > :04:24.won't hesitate to take over all the media landscape here in Turkey.

:04:25. > :04:27.If the price of stopping the migrants is to endure

:04:28. > :04:31.Turkey's flaws, Brussels will be heavily criticised.

:04:32. > :04:34.But Europe knows that it shuns its difficult but important

:04:35. > :04:50.Back here in Britain, so much reaction to Leicester winning the

:04:51. > :05:00.English Premier League. This is one tweet from the BBC's Chief sports

:05:01. > :05:05.writer. Why is it so remarkable? In an era where money talks in

:05:06. > :05:11.football, consider this, Leicester's first choice team cost around ?22

:05:12. > :05:15.million. That is less than a 12th of big spending Manchester city. The

:05:16. > :05:21.man of the moment, Jamie Vardy, has been one of the stars, 22 goals, he

:05:22. > :05:27.was a bargain signing at ?1 million from a non-league club and less than

:05:28. > :05:32.half of that was used on the Algerian international Mahrez. It

:05:33. > :05:35.was all tied up on Monday evening where the nearest challengers

:05:36. > :05:42.Tottenham failed to beat Chelsea and Claudio Ranieri told us that it was

:05:43. > :05:46.an extraordinary evening. The emotion was at the maximum level.

:05:47. > :05:53.How much does this mean to you to win a title after so long? Look, I

:05:54. > :05:57.told every time I am very happy for the fans, for the chairman, for

:05:58. > :06:02.everybody, all the Leicester community. How have you done it?

:06:03. > :06:08.What has been the secret? I don't know the secret. I think the

:06:09. > :06:14.players, the heart, the soul, how do they play it. What is the message to

:06:15. > :06:22.the fans? Keep going, we want to improve. Our correspondent is at the

:06:23. > :06:28.King Power Stadium. Almost 24 hours on from the amazing news, what is

:06:29. > :06:33.the atmosphere like? The time has passed, but clearly and you can

:06:34. > :06:36.probably hear it behind me, the excitement and the passion, the

:06:37. > :06:41.sense of celebration has not died down. There have been people driving

:06:42. > :06:46.past all day beeping their horns, a salute for the title win. The

:06:47. > :06:51.stadium just behind us has been the focal point for fans congregating to

:06:52. > :06:56.toast this remarkable victory. Don't forget Leicester have never won the

:06:57. > :07:02.top-flight title, it is the first time in 28 years we have a new

:07:03. > :07:06.champion of England. In 2002 they went into administration, in 2008

:07:07. > :07:11.they were in the third tier of English football and against all

:07:12. > :07:15.these big clubs, the likes of Chelsea, Manchester city, Manchester

:07:16. > :07:19.United and Arsenal, the established elite, the unbreakable, Leicester

:07:20. > :07:22.City have done the unthinkable. It is mixed road Neri Sottoli that will

:07:23. > :07:28.be celebrated for a long time to come. -- it is an amazing

:07:29. > :07:32.achievement that will be celebrated for a long time to come. What has

:07:33. > :07:39.been said of Claudio Ranieri's success? He told us that he did not

:07:40. > :07:43.know what the secret was, he praised his players for their commitment to

:07:44. > :07:47.each other, he described it as a love on the pitch, they have such

:07:48. > :07:52.passions and spirit that has driven them through. We talk about how

:07:53. > :07:57.money buys you so much in modern sport and especially in top-flight

:07:58. > :08:01.football, but really the sort of cohesion between the teams seems to

:08:02. > :08:05.have caused this huge upset. It really is remarkable when you think

:08:06. > :08:10.just 12 months ago Leicester stood on the verge of relegation. They

:08:11. > :08:14.battled their way out of that trouble winning seven of their last

:08:15. > :08:23.nine matches and they formed a bond with a clear nucleus of players,

:08:24. > :08:28.Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Schmeichel, Morgan at the back. They have formed

:08:29. > :08:31.a spine that has led them through. They have one of the lowest wage

:08:32. > :08:36.bills in the Premier League, money has counted for very little on this

:08:37. > :08:45.occasion. Claudio Ranieri has kept his team selection is very

:08:46. > :08:54.significant -- selections. The atmosphere will be very intense.

:08:55. > :09:00.They will lift the Premier League cup at the end of the Everton game.

:09:01. > :09:04.We are sure to see a parade, the streets of Leicester will be packed.

:09:05. > :09:13.Parading the trophy around will be a complete different matter. Now, as

:09:14. > :09:18.David was saying, one of the rewards the Leicester is a place in the next

:09:19. > :09:25.Europeans Champions League. One of the finalists has just been decided.

:09:26. > :09:31.Let's go to the BBC sports centre. Tell us, is it by Munich or Atletico

:09:32. > :09:37.Madrid? It is Atletico Madrid. In the last few seconds. It is

:09:38. > :09:41.interesting we are talking about Leicester City today. A team very

:09:42. > :09:45.much like Leicester City, they play tactically and they have team

:09:46. > :09:48.spirit, Atletico Madrid have reached the Champions League final for the

:09:49. > :09:53.second time in three years and they have done so by beating Bayern

:09:54. > :09:57.Munich. This team and a Pep Guardiola who is leaving to join

:09:58. > :10:01.Manchester city who may well be facing Atletico Madrid in the final

:10:02. > :10:06.of course. They have done so by winning the game on away goals and

:10:07. > :10:13.the away goal that came this evening in the Alianza arena. If fascinating

:10:14. > :10:18.game. A high-speed game, incredibly nerve wracking towards the end.

:10:19. > :10:22.Atletico Madrid had not conceded in ten hours of football and they did

:10:23. > :10:31.eventually, just about half an hour into the arena, when Xabi Alonso

:10:32. > :10:40.gave them the lead, by Munich got the lead. Then Thomas Mueller had a

:10:41. > :10:48.save. Then there was an away goal, the crucial away goal. They got one,

:10:49. > :10:55.with 17 minutes to go. Robert Lewandowski heading in from close

:10:56. > :10:58.range. Then the penalty save proved crucial because there was a chance

:10:59. > :11:02.for Atletico Madrid to get another goal and put it beyond doubt

:11:03. > :11:09.completely. This time Fernando Torres had his penalty saved. A case

:11:10. > :11:12.of three goals, two penalty misses in the Alianza arena this evening

:11:13. > :11:17.and it all means that Atletico Madrid go through and Pep Guardiola

:11:18. > :11:20.will leave by Munich having not won the trophy they are essentially

:11:21. > :11:26.hired him for three years ago. They have fallen at the semifinal stage

:11:27. > :11:30.for the last three years in a row. Atletico Madrid will go through to

:11:31. > :11:37.the final and potentially just like in 2014 face Real Madrid in Milan.

:11:38. > :11:44.They are Madrid are 0-0 with Manchester City, their semifinal is

:11:45. > :11:49.in Madrid on Wednesday evening. Still to come on Outside Source, it

:11:50. > :11:53.is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, working as a journalist

:11:54. > :12:02.in Afghanistan. The BBC has been to speak to some of the country's most

:12:03. > :12:06.courageous TV reporters. The BBC has learned that more than 65 buyers are

:12:07. > :12:13.considering bidding to take over Tata steel's UK assets. Two groups

:12:14. > :12:20.have expressed interest today, one is a consortium led by Tata's strip

:12:21. > :12:26.steel business. Thousands of jobs were put in jeopardy when the Indian

:12:27. > :12:28.owners said they wanted to sell the loss-making business. Our Wales

:12:29. > :12:36.correspondent reports from Port Talbot. It is a nerve wracking

:12:37. > :12:41.journey, but Tata steel's search for a buyer does seem to be heading in

:12:42. > :12:44.the right direction. The blast furnaces at Port Talbot keep on

:12:45. > :12:49.making metal around the clock. This is the part of the business that has

:12:50. > :12:54.been losing money. But we are told losses are no longer at ?1 million a

:12:55. > :13:01.day, things may be turning around. Speaking for a few of us here, we

:13:02. > :13:05.are optimistic. We try to block things out and come into work and do

:13:06. > :13:09.what we can do to the best of our ability. Our customers and product

:13:10. > :13:15.range and what we can do here is world class, we have the capability

:13:16. > :13:20.we just need a buyer. It is understood that more than 65 buyers

:13:21. > :13:27.have now made their interest known to Tata steel. Only two have put in

:13:28. > :13:30.public, formal bids, liberty and Excalibur, the management buyout

:13:31. > :13:36.team. Only Excalibur would keep the blast furnaces making their future

:13:37. > :13:41.uncertain. What plans other buyers may have for this place and Tata

:13:42. > :13:45.steel's other ten UK sites is also unclear. Some of the bidders will be

:13:46. > :13:51.basically individuals or groups who are looking to exploit government

:13:52. > :13:56.subsidy and asset strip and organisation. That is not what is

:13:57. > :14:00.likely to come forward as the final buyer for the company. Today the

:14:01. > :14:08.Welsh government put its money behind the Excalibur bid. This is a

:14:09. > :14:12.calculated political decision by the Welsh Labour government. They know

:14:13. > :14:15.with just two days to go before an election, being seen to do

:14:16. > :14:20.everything they can to save these works is a vote winner. Other

:14:21. > :14:26.parties responded by saying they also would support the buyout, but

:14:27. > :14:29.how this sale ends is far beyond the control of any politician, only Tata

:14:30. > :14:42.steel will decide who takes this business on.

:14:43. > :14:50.This is Outside Source, live from the BBC newsroom. Our top story:

:14:51. > :14:53.Donald Trump is set to deliver a final blow to his rivals in the US

:14:54. > :15:01.presidential primaries as the US state of Indiana votes later. Today

:15:02. > :15:05.is world press Freedom Day and in Afghanistan it is very much

:15:06. > :15:09.something that remains under threat. We report now from the Afghan

:15:10. > :15:12.capital car bull were working for the country's most popular TV

:15:13. > :15:16.station can carry a deadly risk. I've come to the headquarters

:15:17. > :15:19.of Tolo TV - Afghanistan's most These defensive measures might seem

:15:20. > :15:30.extreme, but they're necessary. Tolo TV has been, and remains,

:15:31. > :15:37.a target of terrorist violence. This is the Tolo News morning

:15:38. > :15:44.meeting. In the hot seat of one of the most

:15:45. > :15:47.dangerous journalistic beats in the world is this

:15:48. > :15:52.TV newsroom boss. He is only 29 years old,

:15:53. > :15:55.and there is a lot of responsibility And this is Shakila,

:15:56. > :16:01.one of his most experienced Her husband was killed

:16:02. > :16:09.by the Taliban. She is raising their three kids

:16:10. > :16:31.alone. She made a name for herself

:16:32. > :16:33.covering dozens of suicide Speaking to families of the dead

:16:34. > :16:43.and interviewing wounded But on January 20th this year,

:16:44. > :16:49.Tolo TV became the story. I was in my office upstairs

:16:50. > :16:58.in a meeting when our head of news walked in, and he said

:16:59. > :17:03.there was a car bomb Back at the bomb site,

:17:04. > :17:16.it was a chaotic scene. Then we went to the hospital nearby,

:17:17. > :17:22.where our colleagues were taken. That was the first time I could see

:17:23. > :17:26.something like that. Some of the bodies

:17:27. > :17:30.were unrecognisable. Some of our wounded colleagues

:17:31. > :17:41.were in very terrible situations. Seven Tolo staff were killed that

:17:42. > :17:44.night, and almost 20 more The Taliban targeting us was always

:17:45. > :17:54.going to be a question of time. We represent civil society,

:17:55. > :17:58.we represent women's rights, we represent a more

:17:59. > :18:02.moderate version of Islam. Freedom of expression, all

:18:03. > :18:10.the things the Taliban don't like. So, I'm not sure for how long

:18:11. > :18:13.we could have kept them at bay, Back at the Tolo canteen,

:18:14. > :18:24.Shakila isn't eating. She's too busy setting up a story

:18:25. > :18:37.on the Afghan New Year. She has access to the Kabul Trauma

:18:38. > :18:41.Tospital. She's covering the aftermath of yet

:18:42. > :18:45.another terrorist attack, In mid-April, the Taliban detonated

:18:46. > :19:28.a huge bomb in central Kabul, killing more than 60 people

:19:29. > :19:33.and wounding hundreds. The next day, the Taliban

:19:34. > :19:35.renewed their threats against all media

:19:36. > :19:40.outlets in Afghanistan. It's a chilling reminder

:19:41. > :19:58.of the dangers journalists in this will stay in Afghanistan for our

:19:59. > :20:04.next story. This five-year-old boy was photographed a few months ago

:20:05. > :20:09.wearing his Lionel Messi shirt which effectively was a plastic bag. That

:20:10. > :20:14.led to the real Lionel Messi getting in touch and sending him a signed

:20:15. > :20:19.shirt. It made him a local celebrity and unfortunately a target.

:20:20. > :20:26.Sudden fame has come at a price, his family have had to flee Afghanistan

:20:27. > :20:35.after they received threats of kidnap. TRANSLATION: Few days ago I

:20:36. > :20:40.got a call from a local gangster, he thought that because he received the

:20:41. > :20:45.T-shirt maybe he got some money. He wanted his share, it was a risky

:20:46. > :20:51.situation so we left. Since he arrived in the Pakistani city of

:20:52. > :20:56.wetter, he has been constantly followed by camera crews. He has

:20:57. > :21:01.brought his prized gifts and the original home-made T-shirt. But the

:21:02. > :21:06.star treatment has done the call for his family's dire circumstances.

:21:07. > :21:10.They are all crammed in one room and his father says he sees no future

:21:11. > :21:17.for his son here. But the five-year road is very clear about where he

:21:18. > :21:22.wants to go. TRANSLATION: Lionel Messi, you know how much I like you,

:21:23. > :21:29.now I want you to invite me so I can come and see you. Until he meets the

:21:30. > :21:35.iconic football, he is spending time honing his skills.

:21:36. > :21:43.Now as part of the thaw in relations between the US and Cuba, a cruise

:21:44. > :21:46.ship set sail from Miami with passengers on board and it has

:21:47. > :21:49.arrived in her van yesterday. The first in more than half a century.

:21:50. > :21:59.Our correspondent was on board. It has taken decades, but cruise

:22:00. > :22:04.liners are sailing from Miami to Cuba again. To send them on their

:22:05. > :22:09.way, good weather and cool drinks as the cruise ship pulled away from

:22:10. > :22:14.Miami's iconic South Beach, the patriotism of both countries was on

:22:15. > :22:17.show. This is the latest and much awaited stage in the thaw between

:22:18. > :22:23.Havana and Washington and this cruise almost did not happen. Cuba

:22:24. > :22:30.only recently lifted a ban on Cuban born nationals entering the country

:22:31. > :22:34.by sea. Some took to the seas to protest the Castro government. While

:22:35. > :22:38.the cruise ship may be the first US passenger vessel to make this trip

:22:39. > :22:42.since the Cold War, the company behind it wants many more to follow,

:22:43. > :22:48.so resolving the Cuban-American migration issue with key. It was

:22:49. > :22:52.important to us, not just for the travellers, but also for the boilies

:22:53. > :22:59.here in Miami, so many Cuban born Americans. We wanted to ensure

:23:00. > :23:05.everyone had the opportunity for everyone to be part of this historic

:23:06. > :23:08.moment. -- for the employees. Most were not thinking about the

:23:09. > :23:17.politics, they see it as the opportunity of a lifetime. This is

:23:18. > :23:22.an item to tick off the bucket list. A guy went there 56 years ago, he

:23:23. > :23:27.said you want to take the ferry over to Havana. I said I don't know,

:23:28. > :23:33.let's do it next time. Then along came the revolution and this is the

:23:34. > :23:39.next time. After a night at sea, the passengers awoke to the sign of

:23:40. > :23:45.Havana on the horizon. There are the key landmarks of Havana, the Hotel,

:23:46. > :23:49.the Cathedral and although a lot has been said about this trip and how

:23:50. > :23:55.historic it is, actually when you come in on a cruise ship for the

:23:56. > :24:02.first time in over half a century it does feel pretty momentous. As the

:24:03. > :24:06.ship got closer, crowds gathered on the shore to greet them like long

:24:07. > :24:11.lost friends. Fittingly the first person off the ship was a

:24:12. > :24:15.Cuban-American hand-picked by his employers, the carnival company.

:24:16. > :24:19.Whether this cruise ship brings change to Cuba is debatable,

:24:20. > :24:24.certainly more tourists means more work and income for some. Others

:24:25. > :24:26.have a residual fear that the island might once again become a weekend

:24:27. > :24:37.jaunt for wealthy Americans. Finally the way to reopen, the

:24:38. > :24:46.Olympic torch has been lit from Greece to Brazil. From Greece it

:24:47. > :24:55.will have a 95 day journey right around the world to Brazil. There is

:24:56. > :24:58.political instability in Brazil, but crowds of people followed the torch

:24:59. > :25:03.at the start of the relay which will end with the games in Rio in August.

:25:04. > :25:10.We are back at the same time tomorrow, thank you for watching.

:25:11. > :25:16.Hello. It feels like it has been a long time coming, but could this be

:25:17. > :25:23.the week where we can finally put the winter wardrobe away? We have a

:25:24. > :25:25.temperature change on the way in the next few days. This
