:00:14. > :00:19.You are watching Outside Source. Resident Obama has said there is no

:00:20. > :00:23.evidence that the Orlando nightclub killer was part of a larger plot

:00:24. > :00:28.although he appeared to have the unit inspired by radical views on

:00:29. > :00:33.the Internet. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have also spoken about

:00:34. > :00:37.the shooting in the last few hours. More victims at the named by

:00:38. > :00:41.authorities. Five more people are said to still be in a grave

:00:42. > :00:47.condition in hospital. We will be live in Paris for the latest in

:00:48. > :00:52.today's three games in Euro 2016. I will bring you the story of the holy

:00:53. > :01:07.conductor of classical music in Tanzania. -- only conductor.

:01:08. > :01:16.We will stay with events in Orlando. 49 people died inside the Pulse

:01:17. > :01:22.nightclub. We are finding out more about some victims. Friends and

:01:23. > :01:25.families are paying tribute to them. One harrowing story comes from the

:01:26. > :01:31.mother of Eddie Justice, who died in the attack. She has shared riches of

:01:32. > :01:35.the text messages exchanged with her son. He tells his mum he loves her

:01:36. > :01:42.and he is trapped in the bathroom and asked her to call the police. He

:01:43. > :01:49.then says he is going to die and he did not survive. The authorities

:01:50. > :01:51.have revealed the man suspected of carrying out the attack had visited

:01:52. > :01:56.Saudi Arabia in the last five years. They say they do not know why.

:01:57. > :02:01.Questions are being asked about how a man described as unstable could so

:02:02. > :02:09.easily access firearms. Richard Galpin has this report. Mass

:02:10. > :02:12.shootings like the incident in Orlando this weekend reprieve could

:02:13. > :02:17.occurrence in the United States. It is estimated at least 1.5 million

:02:18. > :02:25.Americans have died in gun related incidents in the last 50 years. More

:02:26. > :02:31.than those killed in all wars. For Donald Trump, recently endorsed by

:02:32. > :02:35.the powerful National Rifle Association, gun control is not on

:02:36. > :02:41.the agenda. Instead, within hours of the Orlando shootings, he launched a

:02:42. > :02:46.bruising political salvo at the Obama administration and his rival

:02:47. > :02:51.for the presidency, Hillary Clinton. We had better get Smart because

:02:52. > :02:56.believe me, all I want is safety, safety for this country. What

:02:57. > :02:59.happens will happen many times over with President Obama. He does not

:03:00. > :03:06.even want to use the term radical Islamic terrorism. Clinton will not

:03:07. > :03:11.use it either. In sharp contrast, Hillary Clinton so far has been

:03:12. > :03:16.measured in her response to the Orlando killings, not jumping to

:03:17. > :03:19.conclusions about motives. Her campaign team have been very

:03:20. > :03:23.critical of Donald Trump, calling him a narcissistic man baby, who

:03:24. > :03:28.turned a national tragedy into a moment of self congratulations, when

:03:29. > :03:34.he claimed he had been right about the threat from Islamic extremism.

:03:35. > :03:38.Today, so-called Islamic State has repeated its claim the Orlando

:03:39. > :03:43.attack had been carried out by one of its fighters. It is still far

:03:44. > :03:44.from clear if Islamic State had any direct link with the gunman, Omar

:03:45. > :03:53.Mateen. Some of the markers are there. It

:03:54. > :03:58.looks like an Islamic State inspired attack. It would follow a pattern

:03:59. > :04:02.and fits their model of what they have called for. They want people to

:04:03. > :04:07.undertake do at your own terrorism, so-called. Whether it was an Islamic

:04:08. > :04:12.State inspired attack or not, it is clear what happened in Orlando is

:04:13. > :04:19.now being used politically in the race for the White House.

:04:20. > :04:24.Michelle is near the Pulse nightclub, where the tragedy

:04:25. > :04:30.happened. What is happening there right now, Michelle? It has been

:04:31. > :04:33.fairly active for most of the day. I do not know if you can see these

:04:34. > :04:38.orange cones behind me. I'm about one block away from the nightclub.

:04:39. > :04:43.Earlier we saw police, I'm not sure if it was a drill or searching for

:04:44. > :04:48.evidence, but they were sweeping up as far as the Orange cones which you

:04:49. > :04:54.can see over my shoulder here. What we have learned from authorities

:04:55. > :04:56.today is that they are continuing to investigate the scene inside and

:04:57. > :05:00.outside the nightclub, trying to find anything which will help them

:05:01. > :05:07.piece together more information about events which took place here.

:05:08. > :05:12.We know most, all the bodies, have been removed from the nightclub.

:05:13. > :05:17.That happened on Sunday. Lee Mair of Orlando told me that in the next few

:05:18. > :05:21.days he expected investigators to try and recreate the events as they

:05:22. > :05:28.search for more clues. -- the mail of Orlando. Several victims are

:05:29. > :05:33.still critically ill in hospital. That is right. Many were taken a

:05:34. > :05:38.short distance from here to the Orlando Memorial Hospital. They

:05:39. > :05:41.carried out 26 operations on Sunday. More work carried out today. We

:05:42. > :05:46.understand five people are fighting for their lives. It is worth

:05:47. > :05:51.remembering as we keep talking about family members trying to trace loved

:05:52. > :05:56.ones, it has been an agonising process in part because it has taken

:05:57. > :06:00.such a long time to notify people and get the identification of

:06:01. > :06:04.everybody. We spoke to somebody earlier and his friend was a

:06:05. > :06:09.bartender who was well enough despite being shot three times to

:06:10. > :06:13.describe some of what happened. Apparently he was serving a drink at

:06:14. > :06:18.the time the customer in front of him was shot. He himself was hit

:06:19. > :06:23.three times and fell to the floor. He thought he would not make it out

:06:24. > :06:28.alive but he survived and he is due to have surgery today. Tributes have

:06:29. > :06:33.taken place all over the world. I can only imagine the atmosphere

:06:34. > :06:39.here, Michelle. Well, yes. This town is known for the amusement resorts

:06:40. > :06:45.and a place where families go, coming to Disney World, to see Harry

:06:46. > :06:50.Potter amusement park. In this place of all places, we are now talking

:06:51. > :06:56.about the worst mass shooting in American history. I understand

:06:57. > :06:59.Disney shot up a beam of light yesterday evening at one of the

:07:00. > :07:05.hotels near City Hall. They were covered in rainbow coloured light.

:07:06. > :07:10.There were tributes, one at a nearby lake where people were lighting

:07:11. > :07:13.candles. People were looking to try and come together and show

:07:14. > :07:17.solidarity, to try and overcome fear. If we talk to some of the

:07:18. > :07:21.people living here they say there is concern about going out, and about

:07:22. > :07:27.targeting ad that will be part of the challenge in the days ahead for

:07:28. > :07:31.those living here. Michelle, thank you, lived in Orlando. A lot more on

:07:32. > :07:37.that story and its developments on the BBC website. We will return to

:07:38. > :07:41.the sport on Outside Source and go straight to Paris. Ollie Foster has

:07:42. > :07:49.the latest on today's three matches in Euro 2016. Good evening to you.

:07:50. > :07:52.Good evening. Yes, the fourth day of the European challenge. You

:07:53. > :07:57.mentioned those three matches. Is still going on. Tens of thousands

:07:58. > :08:02.are in the fan zone in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. I will let you

:08:03. > :08:07.know what happens and I will bring you up to date in a moment. We have

:08:08. > :08:11.had two results. The Republic of Ireland, 20 minutes away from what

:08:12. > :08:16.would have been a very famous victory against Sweden. They scored

:08:17. > :08:20.a wonderful opener, the Irish. Sweden did not have a single shot on

:08:21. > :08:27.target. But in Ireland own goal saw it finished 1-1. They came to Paris

:08:28. > :08:31.to enjoy themselves. The Irish fans hoped for a performance as

:08:32. > :08:39.passionate on the pitch as they were in the stands. That is what Martin

:08:40. > :08:43.O'Neill's team delivered. Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovich was kept quiet.

:08:44. > :08:46.Impressive in midfield. Ireland created a lot of chances. This

:08:47. > :08:53.somehow slipped underneath John O'Shea. It was Hendrix turn again.

:08:54. > :08:56.The match progressed thanks to the luck of these Swedish. Eventually

:08:57. > :09:01.Highland scored the goal their work deserved Angstrom Seamus Coleman

:09:02. > :09:10.setting up Wes Hoolahan. No stopping this one. Never write off a team who

:09:11. > :09:14.can score 55 goals in 57 games. This cross turned in hand Sweden

:09:15. > :09:19.celebrated. The unfortunate Irishman they had to thank was Kim Clark. He

:09:20. > :09:24.gave his goalkeeper no chance. Time for Sweden to make their presence

:09:25. > :09:29.felt. They pushed for a winner, inches away, as it turned out but he

:09:30. > :09:32.could not deliver the knockout. A draw was a fair result in a match

:09:33. > :09:34.played in great spirits but both sides could really have done with

:09:35. > :09:42.three points. I had to say we have seen some awful

:09:43. > :09:47.scenes with ham and trouble involving England fans and Russian

:09:48. > :09:52.fans in Marseille. -- fan in trouble. The Republic of Ireland

:09:53. > :09:55.fans and Swedish fans in the last couple of days have been building up

:09:56. > :10:01.to the match and it was cancelling the magnificent, just how it should

:10:02. > :10:05.be, singing and drinking together and commiserating, well, they shared

:10:06. > :10:09.one point and it has been a fantastic atmosphere and we want

:10:10. > :10:13.much more of that. The other match in the group is down in Lyon.

:10:14. > :10:17.Belgium against Italy. That is what they were watching on the big screen

:10:18. > :10:24.here. Chances for both teams but Italy put one of theirs away. It was

:10:25. > :10:31.a lovely ball over the top. It took one sublime touch, controlled, and

:10:32. > :10:34.it was slotted past Thibaut Courtois, the Belgian keeper. Romelu

:10:35. > :10:38.Lukaku was close to the equaliser for the Belgians on the break in the

:10:39. > :10:44.second half. It just went over the top. About 50 minutes left. He just

:10:45. > :10:48.had a header over the top. We might have one more goal in it but the

:10:49. > :10:52.Italians are leading at the moment. The reigning champions Spain on four

:10:53. > :10:57.hat-trick of Euro titles. They left it late against Czech Republic in

:10:58. > :11:01.Toulouse. They created a lot of chances as we would expect. A header

:11:02. > :11:09.from Gerard Pique with three minutes left proved to be the winner. 1-0

:11:10. > :11:15.for the Spanish. We have had ten matches here across four days. Would

:11:16. > :11:21.you believe it, not a single goalless draw? Goals everywhere so

:11:22. > :11:26.far. Thank you very much, goalless, or not. Ollie Foster in Paris. In a

:11:27. > :11:30.few minutes on programme macro we will show you some pictures from all

:11:31. > :11:36.around the world, the tributes which have been paid to victims of the

:11:37. > :11:40.Orlando attack. -- Outside Source. In Sydney and in London has well. --

:11:41. > :11:51.as well. The chairman of BT has risen to the

:11:52. > :11:54.80,000 members of staff at the telecoms giant and explained why he

:11:55. > :11:59.is backing the campaign to stay in the European Union. He said leading

:12:00. > :12:04.could damage the economy and would leave the UK without influence. He

:12:05. > :12:11.insisted it was up to start how they voted in the Referendum. He urged

:12:12. > :12:19.them to cast their ballot. Andy Verity has this report on what he

:12:20. > :12:23.had to say. We will give the people of the United Kingdom makes Ackley

:12:24. > :12:29.what they deserve. Be careful what you wish for, in or out. The world

:12:30. > :12:32.may never be the same. BT workers did not get William Dafoe

:12:33. > :12:38.threatening the UK from space to convince them to stay, a letter from

:12:39. > :12:42.the boss was scary enough. It simply seems at this stage very potentially

:12:43. > :12:46.damaging to the overall economy, the growth, creating new jobs, to take a

:12:47. > :12:52.step which would leave us out of the single market and the European Union

:12:53. > :12:56.and without influence. BT executives and union leaders all signed the

:12:57. > :13:02.letter, saying that this vote is so important we believe we have an

:13:03. > :13:04.obligation to explain our views. Virtually all major independent

:13:05. > :13:07.experts think leaving will result in an economic downturn, one from which

:13:08. > :13:13.it might take several years to recover. The Referendum is now a

:13:14. > :13:18.numbers game and the numbers BT worry about not just the votes to

:13:19. > :13:22.leave but weaker growth, a fall in the value of the pound and the

:13:23. > :13:28.potential knock-on effect of the company earnings. BT have written to

:13:29. > :13:32.81,000 staff, trumping the 6000 written to by JCB last week, who

:13:33. > :13:38.were told the opposite message, that there was nothing to fear from

:13:39. > :13:43.leaving the EU. My advice to BT employees is ignore these letters.

:13:44. > :13:47.After all, the chairman was saying in 2003 that it would be very

:13:48. > :13:51.damaging for the UK economy not to scrap the pound and join the euro

:13:52. > :13:56.and he was completely wrong about that and he and the Chief Executive

:13:57. > :14:01.were saying only last year we should not even have a Referendum. Hundreds

:14:02. > :14:03.of businesses will vote to leave above the vast majority according to

:14:04. > :14:08.the Confederation of British industry would like to remain. Give

:14:09. > :14:22.the people of the United Kingdom exactly what they deserve.

:14:23. > :14:31.You are with Allegra macro. -- Outside Source. President Obama has

:14:32. > :14:34.said there is no evidence the Orlando nightclub killer was part of

:14:35. > :14:39.a bigger plot but he did appear to have been inspired by radical views

:14:40. > :14:44.on the Internet. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump at over spoken about

:14:45. > :14:48.the shooting in the last few hours. Coming up shortly on BBC News, if

:14:49. > :14:52.you are outside the UK, world News America is next. They will have a

:14:53. > :14:57.lot more on the top story and they will be live in Orlando, speaking to

:14:58. > :15:03.a former Homeland Security adviser to George Bush. In the UK, the News

:15:04. > :15:08.at ten is next. They have a special report on Omar Mateen, the man

:15:09. > :15:09.behind the attacks in Orlando. We have been speaking to those who knew

:15:10. > :15:25.him. Here in the UK, the debate on the EU

:15:26. > :15:30.Referendum Bill is being dominated by the Conservative Party but today

:15:31. > :15:34.the Labour Party step forward. Some party members have been said to not

:15:35. > :15:37.have been convinced about the message to stay. For more poor

:15:38. > :16:05.minister Gordon Brown we didn't today.

:16:06. > :16:10.The European Union is not the cause of the problem. The European Union

:16:11. > :16:20.can be part of the solution. What sort of message would we send

:16:21. > :16:24.to the world on June 23? If we, Britain, decided to walk away

:16:25. > :16:26.from our nearest neighbours? This is not the

:16:27. > :16:30.Britain I believe in. This is not the Britain

:16:31. > :16:32.we should aspire to be. We should be a leader in Europe

:16:33. > :16:35.and not leaving it. It was meant to be David Cameron up

:16:36. > :16:38.there this afternoon. Instead it's the former

:16:39. > :16:40.Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. That tells you everything

:16:41. > :16:43.you need to know. The Remain camp is worried,

:16:44. > :16:46.deeply worried that their weeks of warnings have fallen on deaf ears

:16:47. > :16:50.with Labour voters. This week, different

:16:51. > :16:53.faces, different voices What about immigration

:16:54. > :16:59.that troubles so many? Many Labour voters feel simply,

:17:00. > :17:03.when you were in power, too many people came

:17:04. > :17:06.here from other parts of Europe, that's why they think

:17:07. > :17:07.you lost touch. That's why many of them might

:17:08. > :17:09.vote to leave. In the main, the immigrants who've

:17:10. > :17:19.come to our country are making What we've got to make sure is areas

:17:20. > :17:23.under pressure have public services Do you think you can make

:17:24. > :17:27.a difference in this vote? I'm not claiming I have any ability

:17:28. > :17:31.to make a huge difference on my own. Together we can show

:17:32. > :17:34.that we can get things done. The occasional Labour MP is enjoying

:17:35. > :17:38.being on the other side, sharing And with new predictions today that

:17:39. > :17:44.immigration will go up and up for decades, Outers claimed

:17:45. > :17:48.Gordon Brown's appearance shows I can tell what the Remain

:17:49. > :17:53.side are a bit rattled, my friends, because they had

:17:54. > :17:58.a re-launch this morning. They decided to use Gordon Brown

:17:59. > :18:02.to inject some dynamism into proceedings, which shows

:18:03. > :18:06.the measure of the panic they're in. They're resorting to more

:18:07. > :18:10.and more scare stories, more and more misery,

:18:11. > :18:13.more and more discussion of the end All David Cameron's

:18:14. > :18:23.warnings seem not enough. You'll see more of him

:18:24. > :18:46.and more of them. a court in Qatar has charged a woman

:18:47. > :18:56.of having sex outside marriage after she said you was drugged and raped.

:18:57. > :19:02.Her alleged attacker, who says the sex was consensual, will get 140

:19:03. > :19:08.lashings for adultery and consuming alcohol. Qatar officials say that

:19:09. > :19:18.when the woman has paid her fine she will be deported.

:19:19. > :19:29.The case has caused outrage. Many people feel she has been punished

:19:30. > :19:34.for her alleged attacker's crime. She was drinking and went than sing

:19:35. > :19:38.and when she returned to her table and took a sip of her drink her

:19:39. > :19:43.lawyer says she relies to was spiked and then she woke up in a stranger's

:19:44. > :19:47.flat and realised she had been raped. This is according to her

:19:48. > :19:52.lawyer. The women went back three months ago to report the alleged

:19:53. > :19:57.rape at which point she was detained on suspicion of having sex outside

:19:58. > :20:06.marriage. This has only just come to light when her family went public at

:20:07. > :20:13.the weekend. The victim did not appear in court herself. She was

:20:14. > :20:20.sentenced to one year suspended sentence and fined $800. She is due

:20:21. > :20:27.to be deported when that fine is paid and the paperwork is completed.

:20:28. > :20:31.Her family say they are relieved she will be sent home but all this

:20:32. > :20:37.raises questions ahead of Qatar hosting the World Cup in 2022.

:20:38. > :20:44.Questions about the ability to manage the thousands of football

:20:45. > :20:52.fans. Most will not be familiar with Qatar's very strict laws about sex

:20:53. > :20:55.and alcohol. Classical music is not the first

:20:56. > :21:01.thing you associate with Tanzania but one man is trying to change

:21:02. > :21:05.that. He is the only classical music conductor in the country and is

:21:06. > :21:11.completely self-taught after tracking down scores on the

:21:12. > :21:14.Internet. I am a classical musician pianist

:21:15. > :21:30.and conductor. We will go through patches of areas

:21:31. > :21:40.that need better understanding because we are short of time.

:21:41. > :21:48.We have lost that report far too early. It will try to get back to

:21:49. > :21:53.that. I am just going to show you some pictures of our top story. That

:21:54. > :21:57.shooting in Orlando that left 49 people dead. We have seen an

:21:58. > :22:03.outpouring of grief in so many places. One has been going on near

:22:04. > :22:11.here. In the last hour there has been a virtual in London's SoHo

:22:12. > :22:19.district. That is in the heart of the gay community. Also in Sydney

:22:20. > :22:25.earlier, we saw the Harbour Bridge let up with rainbow colours, and

:22:26. > :22:31.rainbow flags were flown at half-mast across the city. Let us

:22:32. > :22:38.take you to Berlin. There was a vigil outside the US embassy.

:22:39. > :22:47.Flowers were laid and there was a book of condolence. If we can get

:22:48. > :22:54.that moving, this is a similar scene. That was the US embassy in

:22:55. > :23:03.Moscow. We can go back to that report about the only classical

:23:04. > :23:08.physics conductor and Tanzania. I am a classical music call musician

:23:09. > :23:25.and conductor. The first time I started doing

:23:26. > :23:31.classical music was when I was 13 and it was from a book that I saw

:23:32. > :23:46.and I was trying to learn classical music pieces.

:23:47. > :23:53.Since the first time I heard about it, I just fell in love with it. I

:23:54. > :24:00.could not run away from it since then.

:24:01. > :24:04.That one excavation Mark loader. Yes.

:24:05. > :24:18.I got here by learning by myself. We have been learning like blind
