:04:04. > :04:08.In my 29 years in the London Fire Brigade, I have never seen
:04:09. > :04:10.a fire of this nature, and I have seen many
:04:11. > :04:15.We never expected to see a high rise fire that would spread so quickly
:04:16. > :04:17.from the eighth floor to the 21st floor.
:04:18. > :04:20.In London, the fire raged from the ground to the 24th floor
:04:21. > :04:25.Attention in Australia focused on the building's aluminium
:04:26. > :04:27.cladding, an enquiry blaming cheaper plastic fibre backed cladding rather
:04:28. > :04:35.The same distinction is being made about Grenfell Tower,
:04:36. > :04:42.although the authorities insist building regulations were followed.
:04:43. > :04:44.The concerns are not just about what went wrong
:04:45. > :04:46.in North Kensington, they are also about what could go
:04:47. > :04:59.wrong in thousands of tower blocks across Britain.

:05:54. > :05:56.This is the place, people bringing gifts, nappies. A man I saw had
:05:57. > :06:05.brand new shoes. People have been coming here, just to stand and
:06:06. > :06:06.stare, take photos, write. And others have been trying to find
:06:07. > :06:25.missing loved ones. This story about Muhammad is extraordinary. He
:06:26. > :06:30.and his brother smelled the smoke. They realised how extraordinary this
:06:31. > :06:36.was. Omar said we have got to get out of here. The thought that
:06:37. > :06:49.Muhammad was behind him. We can listen to the extraordinary story.
:06:50. > :06:52.I could not talk, look around, I could not say anything.
:06:53. > :07:03.I thought I was going to die on the stairs.
:07:04. > :07:11.I was breathing smoke, lots of smoke, from the 14th floor.

:09:36. > :09:38.went dead. Harrowing story. It has brought many people out this
:09:39. > :09:52.evening. Why have you joined the people this evening? Just seeing the
:09:53. > :09:59.tower from the A40. I thought I have got to come and take a look. What
:10:00. > :10:08.are you thinking? I am a little bit confused. They said that the

:12:32. > :12:37.They knew that Grenfell was unsafe. We cannot allow people to live
:12:38. > :12:43.in a dangerous state, and that is a worry,
:12:44. > :12:46.but the resources have to be found and we will demand and make sure
:12:47. > :12:53.those resources are found. With worries for people
:12:54. > :12:55.who live in similar blocks and so much still unknown,
:12:56. > :12:58.MPs demanded a meeting When we talk about this
:12:59. > :13:05.as a tragedy, we're talking about it The truth is, it wasn't
:13:06. > :13:09.some natural disaster. We look to you both, as ministers,
:13:10. > :13:13.to leave no stone unturned in getting justice and getting
:13:14. > :13:17.to the bottom of this. It's really important
:13:18. > :13:21.that there is utter clarity today about whether people should stay
:13:22. > :13:24.in their flats in the event of another horrific fire,
:13:25. > :13:26.which could happen this afternoon, as we speak here, or

:25:19. > :25:22.safe haven. A quote... The Department of Justice officials said
:25:23. > :25:32.that our commitment is to ensure that the United States is not a safe
:25:33. > :25:39.haven, for those to hide ill gotten money. This goes back to 2009. It
:25:40. > :25:42.has taken this long. It is not the first thing that the Department of
