:04:45. > :04:47.the sound of a fighter jet overhead, and the fear is there could be

:04:48. > :04:50.another attack coming, so we've been told we have to leave

:04:51. > :05:07.The PKK have also joined the fight against the Islamic State group.

:05:08. > :05:15.The Kurds have been the most successful force battling Isis.

:05:16. > :05:21.The West works closely with some fighters but it says not

:05:22. > :05:24.with the PKK, not just because it's seen as a terrorist group,

:05:25. > :05:30.But, now, we've been told there is contact

:07:42. > :07:45.People rarely speak out about the problem but this

:07:46. > :07:47.young woman agreed to, if we hid her identity.

:07:48. > :07:51.TRANSLATION: I was a chubby child and the other kids bullied me.

:07:52. > :07:55.When I started losing weight at 16, everyone told me how great I looked,

:07:56. > :07:59.Matoko tells me her parents were too ashamed to take her to a doctor

:08:00. > :08:01.so she, like many thousands of others, suffered in silence.

:08:02. > :08:04.After more than ten years, Matoko is finally getting

:08:05. > :08:08.Today, she's come to one of the few government funded eating disorder

:08:09. > :08:10.These women are considered the lucky ones.

:08:11. > :08:13.There's no family doctor referral system here so it's largely

:08:14. > :08:20.up to patients to seek the help themselves.

:08:21. > :08:22.TRANSLATION: It's often too late by the time the patient

:08:23. > :08:28.Sometimes, they are even close to death.

:08:29. > :08:32.Although the causes of eating disorders are known,

:08:33. > :08:34.there is the predominant cultural ideal that skinny is beautiful.

:08:35. > :08:40.That has gone too far, and we need to address it.

:08:41. > :08:42.The government says it's trying to raise more awareness

:08:43. > :08:45.of the problem and make it easier for people to come forward

:09:08. > :09:10.But if you read this here, it says, we want to be slimmer and prettier,

:09:11. > :09:16.so let's take action now and measure ourselves every day.

:09:17. > :09:20.Usually, we don't see these curves, we don't see it at all.

:09:21. > :09:24.But counter voices and images are emerging.

:09:25. > :09:28.Nao and Aisha are models Japan's only magazine at plus sized girls.

:09:29. > :09:35.They want to champion people of all shapes and sizes.

:09:36. > :09:38.They may still be a minority in the mass media but these women

:09:39. > :09:49.But, today, she's living her dream as a model.
