:01:15. > :01:19.called Riot in the Toon where they urged people to go to Dundee city
:01:19. > :01:28.centre and "kill some dafties". It happened at the height of the
:01:28. > :01:34.summer's unrest in England. Andrew Anderson reports.
:01:34. > :01:40.They thought it was a joke. But when the police came Colin, he
:01:40. > :01:47.realised others would not see the funny side. Shawn Divin, 16,
:01:47. > :01:51.already has a string of convictions. Including been part of a riot. On a

:02:30. > :02:33.appropriate. She told the teenagers she was sentencing them to three
:02:33. > :02:38.years each for what were the worst of breaches of the piece she had
:02:38. > :02:47.ever dealt with. One criminal lawyer had this to say about the
:02:47. > :02:51.severity of the sentences. In this particular case, the Sheriff has
:02:51. > :03:00.taken the view that the potential harm might have arisen from the
:03:00. > :03:07.offences are -- that these young men might have been cited is the
:03:07. > :03:17.reason why she has imposed the sentence she has. What they thought
:03:17. > :03:22.was a joke seems far from funny now. Strong words from the share of, but
:03:22. > :03:28.despite that, many people might be surprised by these sentences?
:03:28. > :03:34.The Sheriff went to great pains to outline five she wanted to pass the
