:02:53. > :02:59.shoppers crowding through the doors. But so will Bowburn a shopping

:02:59. > :03:03.centre in Glasgow was expecting 50,000 customers today and around

:03:03. > :03:06.1,500 were queuing from 5am. Many stores offered substantial

:03:06. > :03:14.discounts and in Edinburgh, it looked like shoppers were taking

:03:14. > :03:20.full advantage. Just some jeans and shoes that were run as cheap offer.

:03:20. > :03:27.Today it was just because I had some vouchers, but I do not tend to

:04:15. > :04:25.Christopher is here now to tell us how it's looking there and across

:04:25. > :04:26.

:04:26. > :04:29.The strong winds will ease as we go into this evening and tonight. The

:04:29. > :04:34.rain making its way from the north- west down to the south-east this

:04:34. > :04:40.evening. It will ease and fragment as it does so. Behind that front,

:04:40. > :04:49.much colder conditions. We will see a pocket or two of frost and icy

:04:49. > :04:54.patches idle one. It will be milder overnight. Into tonight and

:04:54. > :04:58.northern Scotland stars brighten fine and crisper. Temperatures are

:04:58. > :05:03.around eight or nine degrees for most, but wins much lighter

:05:03. > :05:07.compared to today. This evening and overnight, heavy rain pitching in

:05:07. > :05:11.from the West that will crossover Scotland fairly quickly during

:05:11. > :05:16.their early hours. It is part of an area of low pressure that is

:05:16. > :05:19.certainly Atlantic heading our way on Wednesday. It will bring very

:05:19. > :05:24.strong winds indeed. We have an early warning in force from the

:05:24. > :05:27.letter offers for that wind. It is yellow and that means to be aware

:05:28. > :05:33.that the moment but we could see severe gales anywhere across the

:05:33. > :05:40.country on Wednesday. West and central parts of the country, some

:05:40. > :05:44.blustery showers. Temperatures average for this time of year, five

:05:44. > :05:45.or six degrees. Stay tuned to the forecast, because details could

:05:45. > :05:47.change. Thanks, Christopher. That's all
