:00:09. > :00:13.Good evening. Parents have expressed their anger

:00:14. > :00:15.at the decision to close down an Aberdeen private school after

:00:16. > :00:20.inspectors decided children there were unsafe. A meeting was held this

:00:21. > :00:23.morning for parents of pupils at the Hamilton school, which shut

:00:24. > :00:29.yesterday on the orders of the Scottish Government. Steven Duff

:00:30. > :00:35.reports. A meeting to find out where the

:00:36. > :00:40.children can go to school on Monday. Many parents of pupils at

:00:41. > :00:46.the Hamilton School, angry at the abrupt decision to shut it yesterday

:00:47. > :00:51.afternoon. Despite educational inspectors declaring the school and

:00:52. > :00:55.save for the children there. I cannot believe on Monday I have to

:00:56. > :00:59.take my child to another school. I made the choice to go to Hamilton

:01:00. > :01:05.school. If they are going to deprive me of that choice, let me know. So

:01:06. > :01:09.far, Kevin was quite happy with the school. He never said he did not

:01:10. > :01:15.want to go to the nursery, he was quite happy. I suppose children do

:01:16. > :01:21.not know much better, but inspectors do. I fully agree with that but I

:01:22. > :01:28.think you can tell by the child's reaction how he feels. On Monday

:01:29. > :01:32.morning Aberdeen City Council will reopen this mothballed primary

:01:33. > :01:40.school. There is much work to be done. It will cater for up to 125

:01:41. > :01:44.displaced children. We will step up and we will put any resource towards

:01:45. > :01:48.ensuring that our children are well cared for and educated. Inspectors

:01:49. > :01:52.said they were not confident children were safe and well cared

:01:53. > :01:57.for at Hamilton. The Scottish Government then took the decision to

:01:58. > :02:02.close it down. The Sheriff will decide whether the Hamilton nursery

:02:03. > :02:08.should close next week. This report by the inspectors could hardly be a

:02:09. > :02:11.lot more damning. There is a lot to digesting but the priority for

:02:12. > :02:15.parents today is where will their children go to school on Monday.

:02:16. > :02:18.The Scottish branch of the PCS union has voted against taking any side in

:02:19. > :02:21.the campaign on Scottish independence. There had been

:02:22. > :02:26.speculation the union would support an independent Scotland. But in a

:02:27. > :02:29.vote this afternoon in Glasgow, delegates voted overwhelmingly to

:02:30. > :02:33.follow the advice of the leadership and take no side.

:02:34. > :02:37.Scotland have secured their first win of the Six Nations by beating

:02:38. > :02:41.Italy 21-20 in Rome. They clinched victory in dramatic fashion - Duncan

:02:42. > :02:52.Weir scoring a drop goal with seconds remaining. Steven Godden

:02:53. > :02:59.reports. Scotland took the field in Rome out

:03:00. > :03:03.of form and under pressure. They exchanged early penalties and they

:03:04. > :03:13.fell behind, undone by a familiar face. To Maslow Allen, a player who

:03:14. > :03:22.learned his trade in Scotland but he chose Italy. Cue the fight back.

:03:23. > :03:34.Alex Dunbar's first try reduce the deficit. He must score! The second

:03:35. > :03:39.put Scotland in front. Down but not out, the Italians aged ahead again

:03:40. > :03:49.with the second try, setting up some late drama. Duncan Weir holding his

:03:50. > :03:56.nerve to secure a much needed when, Scotland's first at home since 2006.

:03:57. > :04:00.Celtic's lead at the top of the Premiership is now 24 points after a

:04:01. > :04:02.2-0 victory over Hearts. Goalkeeper Fraser Forster also broke

:04:03. > :04:07.the league record of 1,155 minutes without conceding a goal. Elsewhere

:04:08. > :04:10.Kilmarnock drew one all with Hibs. Partick Thistle beat second place

:04:11. > :04:16.Aberdeen 3-1. Ross County beat St Mirren 2-1, and St Johnstone went

:04:17. > :04:22.down 1-nil to Inverness. Now for the weather with Judith.

:04:23. > :04:28.Thank you very much. Good evening. Somewhere it and windy weather in

:04:29. > :04:33.the forecast. That rain will be heavy and persistent and moved

:04:34. > :04:37.eastwards during this evening. It will reach north Aberdeenshire

:04:38. > :04:42.eventually, accompanied by strong south-westerly winds. Possibly

:04:43. > :04:47.severe gales in coastal parts in the south-west. There is a Met Office

:04:48. > :04:53.warning for western Scotland and into Angus and Tayside. Six Celsius

:04:54. > :04:59.for most of us. Wet and windy to start the day tomorrow, but it is an

:05:00. > :05:04.improving day. We will hold onto the gales in coastal parts. The rain

:05:05. > :05:05.will clear eventually, brighter conditions follow-on. Temperatures

:05:06. > :05:20.on the high side. That's it Hello. For some places today I am

:05:21. > :05:24.sure it felt that spring is just around the corner. However, looming

:05:25. > :05:28.large, coming in from the Atlantic, this broad belt of cloud and this

:05:29. > :05:32.will bring rain to western hills with rain overnight moving into

:05:33. > :05:34.Scotland, Northern Ireland, trying to push into England and Wales but

:05:35. > :05:35.many eastern
