:00:12. > :00:16.Good evening. A 16-year-old boy is in a serious condition in hospital

:00:17. > :00:19.after taking ill at a house party in north Lanarkshire last night. A

:00:20. > :00:22.17-year-old has been released after treatment. Police believe the pair

:00:23. > :00:26.may have taken ecstasy and "Mortal Kombat" tablets - the drug linked to

:00:27. > :00:31.the recent death of a schoolgirl from Clydebank.

:00:32. > :00:35.The teenagers had been at a party. They were taken to hospital after

:00:36. > :00:38.they became unwell. This afternoon police appealed to anyone who might

:00:39. > :00:45.have information about the type of drugs being sold last night. People

:00:46. > :00:50.can come to us in confidence. We will keep every bit of

:00:51. > :00:55.information in the strictest of confidence and we will protect

:00:56. > :00:59.people 's identities if need be. The message is we have to make sure

:01:00. > :01:03.people are safe and we have to take the drug off the street. We have to

:01:04. > :01:08.identify everybody at a party to make sure they are safe and well.

:01:09. > :01:15.Last month, 17-year-old rake in died after taking one of the -- Reagan

:01:16. > :01:21.McCall died after taking one of the red Mortal Kombat tablets.

:01:22. > :01:25.They are advising anyone who has taken one in the last 24 hours to

:01:26. > :01:28.take medical help. A 19-year-old has died after falling from a bus near

:01:29. > :01:31.the centre of Glasgow late last night.

:01:32. > :01:32.Police say the man fell from the emergency exit and suffered serious

:01:33. > :01:36.head injuries. The First Minister has demanded an

:01:37. > :01:39.apology from David Cameron, after it emerged that Scottish ministers were

:01:40. > :01:42.not told about a radiation leak in a nuclear reactor at Dounreay two

:01:43. > :01:45.years ago. An MoD source told the BBC that Mr Salmond was

:01:46. > :01:48."scaremongering and making mischief". Cameron Buttle reports.

:01:49. > :01:54.The row centres on the submarine test reactor at Dounreay where there

:01:55. > :01:57.was a leak two years ago. The leak didn't breach safety limits but the

:01:58. > :02:01.first minister has written to the prime Minister, demanding an

:02:02. > :02:05.explanation as to why his government wasn't told about it until last

:02:06. > :02:10.week. He wants an apology for what he calls a Westminster cover-up.

:02:11. > :02:15.Westminster has absolutely no right to cut across Scottish democracy and

:02:16. > :02:17.cast a veil of secrecy over eight legitimate process of democratic

:02:18. > :02:22.information in Scotland. David Cameron had better come up

:02:23. > :02:26.with an explanation and an assurance it won't happen again.

:02:27. > :02:30.Labour has stepped into the row, calling for an enquiry and saying

:02:31. > :02:35.public confidence has been damaged. The best way to reassure people and

:02:36. > :02:38.say there is no need for alarm is to make sure you are open and

:02:39. > :02:40.transparent. It is when you hear about

:02:41. > :02:46.information that has been passed on and kept in government agencies, I

:02:47. > :02:56.think that is why people ask about it. The Ministry of defence says

:02:57. > :03:00.that authorities were made aware of the leak at.

:03:01. > :03:05.The first Minister has been accused of making mischief. A spokesperson

:03:06. > :03:11.for the first Minister says the issue is of concern for the people

:03:12. > :03:14.of Scotland. Thousands of current and former

:03:15. > :03:18.female staff at a Scottish council are celebrating after winning a

:03:19. > :03:21.long-running equal pay case. They successfully argued they'd been paid

:03:22. > :03:29.less than men doing similar jobs. Here's our local government

:03:30. > :03:32.correspondent, Jamie McIvor. The struggles for quality for women

:03:33. > :03:37.may seem like they are from another era but reported equality cases and

:03:38. > :03:42.still come to the fore. These women are just some of the latest group to

:03:43. > :03:46.win a victory will stop 3000 current and former staff at South

:03:47. > :03:49.Lanarkshire Council. The jobs that women were doing were not being

:03:50. > :03:54.valued to the same extent of the jobs mended.

:03:55. > :04:00.Women were on the same grade but went receiving the same pay. It has

:04:01. > :04:03.been a conjugated dispute and at its root the overall pay package for

:04:04. > :04:10.certain jobs once things like bonuses were included.

:04:11. > :04:17.I just hope that we did work hard and I think we are entitled to the

:04:18. > :04:23.same wage as the men. We definitely think that the future generation

:04:24. > :04:26.doing the work will be on equal pay. I say don't be scared and stand up

:04:27. > :04:32.for yourself because the times have to change. The exact details and

:04:33. > :04:35.cost of the settlement are being kept confidential.

:04:36. > :04:39.The council says it was always committed to the principle of

:04:40. > :04:43.equality of pay. Similar claims at other councils remain outstanding.

:04:44. > :04:46.There were two quarter final matches in the Scottish Cup. Albion Rovers

:04:47. > :04:50.took the lead at Ibrox against Rangers. Bilel Mohsni equalised for

:04:51. > :04:55.the home side - but not until the 77th minute. Dundee are safely

:04:56. > :04:59.through to the next round after winning 5-0 against Inverness who

:05:00. > :05:02.finished the match with nine men. Now, time to get the weather

:05:03. > :05:08.prospects for this evening and the start of the week.

:05:09. > :05:14.Good evening. A wet evening for many of us tonight with outbreaks of rain

:05:15. > :05:20.across much of the country. Fairly persistent. Drier conditions will

:05:21. > :05:25.extend southwards. A couple of mist and fog patches with a touch of

:05:26. > :05:31.Frost and temperatures down to about two Celsius. The wind is on the

:05:32. > :05:36.light side. The high pressure we have all been heralding eventually

:05:37. > :05:40.arrives tomorrow, taking in across the country and staying in place for

:05:41. > :05:44.the first part of the week with a lot of dry and sunny weather. Any

:05:45. > :05:50.mist and fog is quick to clear and the ICS will be over soon. A bright

:05:51. > :05:55.day with good spells of sunshine as well. Feeling present in the

:05:56. > :05:58.sunshine with highs of 10 Celsius. Our next update's just after the ten

:05:59. > :06:15.o'clock news, at 10:15pm. Until then, from everyone on the
