:00:00. > 3:59:59an eagle in his final round to finish one ahead of Shane Lowry of

:00:00. > :00:10.Ireland. And that is Good evening. Recovery specialists

:00:11. > :00:13.have spent the day salvaging art works and documents from Glasgow Art

:00:14. > :00:18.School's fire damaged Mackintosh building. It took 200 firefighters

:00:19. > :00:21.almost seven hours to get the blaze under control on Friday, but they

:00:22. > :00:36.managed to save most of the building. Julie Peacock reports.

:00:37. > :00:42.Piece by piece, one box at a time, and are of archivists and academics

:00:43. > :00:50.rescued items. Two days after the fire and work is underway to

:00:51. > :00:54.recreate what was lost. The art school's laser scanning team are

:00:55. > :00:59.recording every detail to make sure they can restore it perfectly. We

:01:00. > :01:04.are just making sure there are no more hot spots and we are working

:01:05. > :01:07.with historic Scotland and the Glasgow School of Art and our teams

:01:08. > :01:12.are making sure the fire was extinguished. We are working with

:01:13. > :01:16.those teams to try to excavate what we can and save any further

:01:17. > :01:24.artefacts that are perhaps buried under some of the collapsed internal

:01:25. > :01:28.workings. Glasgow School of Art says it is tragically ironic that a new

:01:29. > :01:32.fire suppression system was due to be installed over the summer, but

:01:33. > :01:37.they say they'd is no way of knowing if it would have made a difference.

:01:38. > :01:44.Firefighters are seeing it as one of the most difficult they have had to

:01:45. > :01:49.deal with. It was a really hot fire that developed very quickly and that

:01:50. > :01:56.makes it difficult. Not only the intense heat but the smoke and the

:01:57. > :02:01.to visibility. The fire was spreading very rapidly so you are

:02:02. > :02:07.always on the back foot. The campus will remain closed next week so that

:02:08. > :02:11.the Mackintosh Building can be cleared and precious works stored in

:02:12. > :02:13.other buildings, but the art school will be open to students on Friday

:02:14. > :02:16.morning. Football, and there was great drama

:02:17. > :02:19.in the Premiership playoff match. Hibernian have been relegated from

:02:20. > :02:21.the Premiership, after losing their playoff against Hamilton on

:02:22. > :02:25.penalties. Hamilton were losing 2-0 after the playoff first leg, but

:02:26. > :02:28.scored in the first half at Easter Road. And in the third minute of

:02:29. > :02:31.injury time, they levelled the scores on aggregate. With no more

:02:32. > :02:34.scoring in extra time, Hibs missed their first penalty. And Accies

:02:35. > :02:36.gioalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert saved Jason Cummings's spotkick, meaning

:02:37. > :02:42.Hamilton are promoted from the Championship to Scottish football's

:02:43. > :02:46.top tier. An ambitious plan to work out who

:02:47. > :02:48.owns every part of Scotland is to be completed within ten years,

:02:49. > :02:51.according to the Scottish Government. A new mapping project

:02:52. > :02:55.has been announced, days after an expert group published a major

:02:56. > :03:00.report on land reform. 62 recommendations were set out. Among

:03:01. > :03:04.the suggestions, it called for a new law to limit how much land any

:03:05. > :03:07.single person can own. The American pop superstar Katy

:03:08. > :03:11.Perry is due to headline the main stage at BBC Radio One's Big Weekend

:03:12. > :03:14.in Glasgow tonight. Earlier, Chris Martin, the frontman of last night's

:03:15. > :03:17.headliners, Coldplay, made a surprise return, joining the

:03:18. > :03:19.American rock band Kings of Leon for an impromptu session. Other

:03:20. > :03:25.highlights today include Paulo Nutini, Tinie Tempah and Rita Ora.

:03:26. > :03:28.Around 50,000 people are expected to have attended. Highlights and live

:03:29. > :03:31.coverage begin over on BBC Three right after this bulletin.

:03:32. > :03:35.At the Chelsea Flower show this year, one of the gold medals went to

:03:36. > :03:38.a garden inspired by the Somme. Here, for the Ideal Home Show in

:03:39. > :03:41.Glasgow, the veterans' charity, Erskine, has recreated its own

:03:42. > :03:47.garden to mark the centenary of the Great War. Aileen Clarke has been

:03:48. > :03:53.along to see it. Even before the outbreak of the

:03:54. > :03:56.great War, a garden or allotment was a much cherished source of extra

:03:57. > :04:01.food and even more so after war was declared. Gardens were planted up by

:04:02. > :04:07.men who went off to fight leaving wives and daughters to tend them.

:04:08. > :04:12.You were thrown into the deep end if you did not learn how to look after

:04:13. > :04:18.gardens, and lots of women could make jams and preserves. They would

:04:19. > :04:23.be sent to the front is a bit of home comforts. In 1916, Erskine

:04:24. > :04:30.Hospital started taking casualties from the war and those who are all

:04:31. > :04:40.depend on the market garden. Robert Gill fell appreciates it. It gives

:04:41. > :04:46.you a lot of pleasure. These gardens were practical, planted for produce.

:04:47. > :04:51.Even with the washing pegged out and the food gathered them, I am not

:04:52. > :04:55.sure where men who were keeping the home front going would have had time

:04:56. > :04:58.to sit down in the garden! Let's get the weather prospects for

:04:59. > :05:04.this evening, and the start of the week, and Kawser is at the map.

:05:05. > :05:12.A lots of water for the plants so far today with heavy showers and

:05:13. > :05:17.some late sunshine as well. You can see from the low pressure, showers

:05:18. > :05:22.swirling around the central belt which will continue for a time.

:05:23. > :05:30.Gradually becoming less frequent with drier spells especially further

:05:31. > :05:36.towards the east. Lows of between seven and 10 Celsius. By the

:05:37. > :05:41.afternoon, this is centred north of the central belt with drier

:05:42. > :05:46.conditions for the south and south-west with temperatures around

:05:47. > :05:51.16 Celsius as the hive. Tuesday, we are looking at some close around and

:05:52. > :05:54.the showers may be towards the West with temperatures reaching around 16

:05:55. > :05:57.Celsius. And that's Reporting Scotland. Our next update is

:05:58. > :06:01.slightly later than usual, at 10:50. Until then, from everyone on the

:06:02. > :06:15.team here in Glasgow, enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening.

:06:16. > :06:16.Good evening. Some of us had a pretty good soaking. It
