:00:00. > :00:00.normal temperatures. Peter, thank you. That is all from me. Now on BBC

:00:00. > :00:00.One we It's official, Team Scotland's most

:00:00. > :00:15.successful Commonwealth Games ever. A silver for our gymnasts

:00:16. > :00:28.means we now have 34 medals. -- 35. I loved it, every single

:00:29. > :00:33.second. I came out of retirement for this and I could not think of a

:00:34. > :00:35.better way. The crowd were fantastic and I am so proud of the boys.

:00:36. > :00:36.And we're on target in the shooting too,

:00:37. > :00:38.as Jen McIntosh also takes silver.

:00:39. > :00:41.We'll be live with the latest on our record-breaking medal haul.

:00:42. > :00:46.An 85-year-old woman seriously injured in an attack at her home

:00:47. > :00:51.More people are buying and selling their homes in Scotland

:00:52. > :01:10.And we are alive at a Wendy Glasgow Green and it has not just been about

:01:11. > :01:12.the sport for the last few days. We will show you what else is going on

:01:13. > :01:27.in the city. . -- windy. Team Scotland's medals tally makes

:01:28. > :01:30.this their most successful ever. The tipping point came this morning

:01:31. > :01:32.at the gymnastics, when the men's Our Commonwealth Games reporter

:01:33. > :01:51.Jane Lewis is there for us tonight. Also, Jim Mackintosh has won a

:01:52. > :01:55.silver. -- Jennifer Mackintosh. A brilliant and historic moment took

:01:56. > :01:59.place behind me earlier today. Never before had a Scottish gymnastics

:02:00. > :02:06.team won any kind of medal at any Commonwealth Games. But on day six

:02:07. > :02:10.of these games, Glasgow 2014, that all changed.

:02:11. > :02:23.Over two days of competition in the main's team event and Scotland were

:02:24. > :02:27.up against this man. Louis Smith of the Strictly Come Dancing game.

:02:28. > :02:33.Scotland were well-placed overnight, lying on the silver medal position.

:02:34. > :02:38.And Adam Cox made sure they were off to a solid start. COMMENTATOR: That

:02:39. > :02:41.was a sound opening for Scotland. People support got behind the team.

:02:42. > :02:49.There was polite applause from others. The high bar at the vault

:02:50. > :02:51.were also on the programme for data. England continued to dominate,

:02:52. > :03:00.despite Sam Oldham having to exit the competition. -- programme for

:03:01. > :03:05.today. Daniel Purvis -Allenby medal from the team event but was helping

:03:06. > :03:13.Scotland to ensure silver did not slip away. -- has a medal from the

:03:14. > :03:19.team event. A silver medal for Scotland and a historic one at that.

:03:20. > :03:24.It feels like a repeat of the Olympics. And doing it for a home

:03:25. > :03:28.crowd was absolutely unbelievable. The crowd let you and it is

:03:29. > :03:34.impossible to have your head down because it pushed us. Were you able

:03:35. > :03:40.to enjoy it? I loved every second! I came out of retirement for this and

:03:41. > :03:44.I cannot imagine a better way. The crowd was fantastic and I am so

:03:45. > :03:49.proud of the boys. I am honoured to be part of the first team to win a

:03:50. > :03:54.silver medal. Are you getting a bit emotional? We had a few mistakes but

:03:55. > :04:01.we kept on supporting each other and got through with it. It is certainly

:04:02. > :04:08.great and it is a first for Scottish gymnastics.

:04:09. > :04:12.Those gymnasts we heard from in that peace will be shortly, if it is not

:04:13. > :04:17.already happening, will be getting their hands on those silver medals

:04:18. > :04:21.behind me. It is fair to say that Scotland's medal tally during these

:04:22. > :04:26.Commonwealth Games is looking very, very healthy indeed.

:04:27. > :04:30.Unlike satellite feed. It's only day six

:04:31. > :04:33.of the competition but already organisers of the next Commonwealth

:04:34. > :04:35.Games in Australia are looking at So with just about enough time to

:04:36. > :04:39.draw breath between medals, our Commonwealth Games reporter,

:04:40. > :04:48.Lisa Summers has been taking stock. The Royal family were in town,

:04:49. > :04:52.looking on at hand in as the poster girl of these games made her first

:04:53. > :04:57.appearance. The comfortable win in the years. COMMENTATOR: Just going

:04:58. > :05:04.down into the last hurdle and she can ease off a little if she wants

:05:05. > :05:08.to. I have been sitting watching it and I asked Laura yesterday how it

:05:09. > :05:13.felt to go out and I have just been dying to get it out of the way and

:05:14. > :05:17.get a feel for the act is real. It is quite nerve-wracking watching it

:05:18. > :05:28.happening. COMMENTATOR: He will win it by ten metres and more. -- and

:05:29. > :05:30.get a feel for the atmosphere. There was a gold medal yesterday forced

:05:31. > :05:37.team Scotland also. It was incredible. The crowd was supportive

:05:38. > :05:43.and it was overwhelming. -- there was a gold medal for Team Scotland

:05:44. > :05:46.yesterday also. There has been a gold rush for Scotland. At the

:05:47. > :05:51.halfway point, we were already better than ever before. Judo has

:05:52. > :05:56.been the best event but plenty of medals have come from the swimming.

:05:57. > :06:02.It has been world-class. We started off with Hannah Miley winning the

:06:03. > :06:06.gold. And then we went on to Ross Murdoch taking the 200 metres

:06:07. > :06:10.breaststroke Murdoch taking the 200 metres

:06:11. > :06:14.world record. When people say that Scotland does not produce

:06:15. > :06:21.world-class swimmers, we do! But ask any of the athletes what has driven

:06:22. > :06:27.them on. Whenever a Scottish swimmer is in the pool, the crowd go crazy.

:06:28. > :06:30.That is Hannah Miley in behind us and they will go berserk if she wins

:06:31. > :06:40.a medal! There have been some problems. Spectators go missed

:06:41. > :06:45.events after some transport problems will get refunds. Hang onto any

:06:46. > :06:49.evidence that you could not get to the games. I guess 700,000 people

:06:50. > :06:57.coming in over the weekend, we will do better next time. And that is

:06:58. > :07:02.something that the Australian people are already trying to bottle for

:07:03. > :07:07.their games in 2014 -- 2018. It is amazing how the local crowd and

:07:08. > :07:11.support inspires athletes. We have seen that again. The performance has

:07:12. > :07:15.been sensational of the Scottish swimmers. We hope that we see the

:07:16. > :07:23.reverse and a lot more medals coming to Australia! The superstars are in

:07:24. > :07:31.town. We are in town. We're only halfway through the show. Even the

:07:32. > :07:35.weather is still being the game. As we told you, Mackintosh won her

:07:36. > :07:39.second medal of the game is a short time ago. She has added that silver

:07:40. > :07:40.to her bronze that she won yesterday.

:07:41. > :07:42.Let's go to the Barry Budden Shooting Centre

:07:43. > :07:54.Good evening. For a medal from this centre at Glasgow 2014. Not quite in

:07:55. > :07:58.the name medals they received four years ago but a fantastic

:07:59. > :08:02.performance all the same. That last model to make comes in the last day

:08:03. > :08:07.of the shooting and it comes to this woman. Well done, fantastic. Thank

:08:08. > :08:12.you very much. It is absolutely amazing and I am delighted. How was

:08:13. > :08:16.it? The conditions were pretty tricky. It was pretty tough, which I

:08:17. > :08:20.was kind of pleased about this morning because that is one of my

:08:21. > :08:25.strong points, coping in conditions like that and the wind. It was not

:08:26. > :08:29.easy. Did you go into today thinking that you might get a gold or silver?

:08:30. > :08:33.I know that yesterday would you were happy to get the bronze but a little

:08:34. > :08:36.bit disappointed. I knew happy to get the bronze but a little

:08:37. > :08:39.performed to the best of happy to get the bronze but a little

:08:40. > :08:41.abilities that any medal was well within my capabilities but the

:08:42. > :08:45.question of going out and doing it within my capabilities but the

:08:46. > :08:50.was a completely different matter. I am delighted to have done the

:08:51. > :08:56.business, really. You went into that final

:08:57. > :09:00.business, really. You went into that was tremendous. Standing in

:09:01. > :09:02.gold-medal position at one point but the Singapore contestant

:09:03. > :09:05.gold-medal position at one point but strong on the table that is becoming

:09:06. > :09:10.she is fantastic. She is always making finals and so I am not

:09:11. > :09:13.surprised that she beat me. How has this been for you?

:09:14. > :09:21.surprised that she beat me. How has incredible to be part of this team,

:09:22. > :09:25.to get your father incredible to be part of this team,

:09:26. > :09:30.I saw you give your mum a huge part at the end. She will be thrilled.

:09:31. > :09:33.You have now beaten her because you are Scotland's most decorated every

:09:34. > :09:41.female in a Commonwealth Games. How does that feel? And dad, how does it

:09:42. > :09:49.feel? Be happy and brilliant to get a medal. You are a team manager but

:09:50. > :09:53.also her father. Delighted to have had both doctors in the team and

:09:54. > :09:59.great to come back with a couple of medal. Well done. The name, I would

:10:00. > :10:04.say in shooting, is Mackintosh. Thank you very much.

:10:05. > :10:06.Team Scotland's swimmers have been outstanding at these

:10:07. > :10:09.Commonwealth Games with three gold, two silver and four bronze - a total

:10:10. > :10:12.Tonight is the last swimming session of the Games

:10:13. > :10:20.and Rhona McLeod is there to tell us if more medals are possible.

:10:21. > :10:26.Just have a look at this for confidence,

:10:27. > :10:32.A fantastic swim there and that's the South African superstar

:10:33. > :10:34.Wallace qualified in second place for the final

:10:35. > :10:48.And Scotland's other 400m gold medallist Hannah Miley

:10:49. > :10:51.She is back in action tonight, contesting the 400m freestyle,

:10:52. > :10:55.and qualifies for tonight's final with the fifth fastest time.

:10:56. > :11:00.A great Games for Miley, with a gold and bronze medal to her credit.

:11:01. > :11:11.Just to wrap up the swimming for tonight -

:11:12. > :11:18.-- it is getting excited and I am here with Dan Wallace's father. Are

:11:19. > :11:23.you nervous? The finals are so nerve-wracking. We all get so

:11:24. > :11:28.excited and worked up. We do not watch his starts. There are so much

:11:29. > :11:34.going on. Have you been surprised? You have been knowing how the

:11:35. > :11:38.training is going but we have had a beautiful performance from him. It

:11:39. > :11:43.was very scary the way he did it! I honestly had no expectations. If you

:11:44. > :11:47.had got on the podium, I would have been very happy. After the world

:11:48. > :11:51.chamionships, where he did so well, we started to think it was a

:11:52. > :11:55.possibility. And the training in America has been so good that I did

:11:56. > :12:00.think something was there but I did not think a Commonwealth Games

:12:01. > :12:04.record was there. That love always. For people like him and Ross

:12:05. > :12:11.Murdoch, they could become council names, which they were not at the

:12:12. > :12:13.start of this. -- household names. In the swimming fraternity, had he

:12:14. > :12:19.been surprised that this? Absolutely. With Dan being in

:12:20. > :12:23.America and off the radar and dizzying with Ross, the noise that

:12:24. > :12:30.it has generated, all of Team Scotland has been great and he is

:12:31. > :12:34.now a household celebrity, which is bizarre. He is enjoying it, thriving

:12:35. > :12:38.on it and more calm and composed than anybody else that I know. We

:12:39. > :12:44.hope you enjoy it and it just as much and good luck to him tonight.

:12:45. > :12:48.Thank you very much. Just to let you know, there are six medal

:12:49. > :12:51.opportunities tonight. Let me run through them for you,

:12:52. > :12:54.As well as Hannah Miley and Dan Wallace, Katherine Dawson is in the

:12:55. > :12:59.Stephen Milne is looking good for a medal in the 1500m freestyle.

:13:00. > :13:01.He qualified in second place for the final.

:13:02. > :13:04.And both men's and women's Scotland team are in the final events of

:13:05. > :13:15.So Scotland looking good to build on the medal tally from Tollcross.

:13:16. > :13:18.More news on that in tonight's late bulletin.

:13:19. > :13:31.An 85-year-old woman who was seriously injured in an attack

:13:32. > :13:34.A man appeared in court yesterday charged

:13:35. > :13:46.Gestures of affection for the elderly lady who had lived here

:13:47. > :13:55.since she was a child. There is immense sadness that L died at

:13:56. > :14:00.Edinburgh Royal infirmary yesterday. -- Eleanor. She had been there after

:14:01. > :14:06.being treated for injuries after being attacked inside her own home.

:14:07. > :14:13.I feel very sad about it. I think it is terrible that it should happen to

:14:14. > :14:17.anybody. I am sorry. This community is stunned by news of her death. It

:14:18. > :14:21.is really difficult when it is so close by and it is a member of the

:14:22. > :14:26.community and very sad. Our thoughts are with her family. We were hoping

:14:27. > :14:33.that she would pull through. Very sad. It is not something you expect

:14:34. > :14:38.to happen in this area. Yesterday, a 22-year-old man was charged with

:14:39. > :14:43.attempted murder and assault and in of life. He made no plea and was

:14:44. > :14:46.remanded in custody pending a further court appearance next duty.

:14:47. > :14:52.Police say this is now being treated as murder. -- next juicy.

:14:53. > :14:57.Two men jailed for life for abducting, torturing and murdering

:14:58. > :14:59.financial advisor Lynda Spence have lost an appeal against their

:15:00. > :15:04.Colin Coates and Philip Wade, both 43, were jailed for a minimum of 33

:15:05. > :15:07.Their appeals focused on use of alleged inadmissible evidence and

:15:08. > :15:11.Lynda Spence, who was 27, was last seen in Glasgow in 2011.

:15:12. > :15:17.The discovery of a jar of potassium cyanide in an Edinburgh

:15:18. > :15:20.flat forced the closure of a section of the city centre this

:15:21. > :15:24.afternoon as fire fighters declared a "chemical incident."

:15:25. > :15:27.A woman was clearing out her father's home in Palmerston Place

:15:28. > :15:29.when she came across the highly toxic substance, that was

:15:30. > :15:34.The Fire and Rescue Service said there was no danger to

:15:35. > :15:39.the public but closed the road while the chemical was disposed of.

:15:40. > :15:42.The average price of a home in Scotland rose by almost 6%

:15:43. > :15:45.in the last year, according to the latest figures.

:15:46. > :15:48.There's also been a sharp increase in the number of

:15:49. > :15:59.Our business correspondent David Henderson can tell us more.

:16:00. > :16:06.Window shopping for his first flat. For a while, Jonathan has wanted to

:16:07. > :16:12.get his foot on the property ladder. He has been saving and looking for a

:16:13. > :16:16.good deal. I might be happier for the first couple of years going on

:16:17. > :16:19.to a higher mortgage, with a lower deposit, to have more money to redo

:16:20. > :16:24.the house. If I deposit, to have more money to redo

:16:25. > :16:28.garden or bathroom. Others are choosing to dip a tool in the

:16:29. > :16:31.property market. The number of people taking out a mortgage is back

:16:32. > :16:36.on the rise, according to figures from the Bank of England. That is

:16:37. > :16:40.helping drive up sales. In recent months, there has been a rise in the

:16:41. > :16:43.number of flats and houses coming on the market. That is a big change.

:16:44. > :16:48.Since the credit crunch six years ago, many people have struggled to

:16:49. > :16:52.get the mortgage they need to claim the property ladder. In Scotland,

:16:53. > :16:58.generally, prices are going up steadily. They have recouped the

:16:59. > :17:03.amount they lost since 2007. Generally, I think the market is

:17:04. > :17:09.pretty positive. We are seeing demand rising. Rising, but not

:17:10. > :17:15.everywhere. The property market is hot in some places and cooler in

:17:16. > :17:20.others. We have seen prices rise by more than 10% in several parts, with

:17:21. > :17:26.temperature topping the lead. Writers fill elsewhere, and were

:17:27. > :17:30.down sharply in Midlothian. There is increased confidence and the economy

:17:31. > :17:35.seems to be growing and all of the messages coming are positive. So I

:17:36. > :17:40.think that people suddenly feel that property is a good investment and

:17:41. > :17:44.are keen to get back in the market. With mortgage lending on the river

:17:45. > :17:48.and finds the economy is picking on, the market is beginning to revive.

:17:49. > :17:52.It has been a long wait for buyers and sellers.

:17:53. > :17:55.A two-year-old girl was taken to hospital in Dundee after she was

:17:56. > :17:59.Police and an ambulance crew were called to

:18:00. > :18:01.Brownhill Place, in the Charleston area of the city, last night.

:18:02. > :18:03.The girl was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment

:18:04. > :18:06.Officers seized the "Husky-type" dog and inquiries are ongoing.

:18:07. > :18:08.Some types of cancer are being detected

:18:09. > :18:12.Figures released by the statistics division of the NHS suggest that 24%

:18:13. > :18:15.of breast, lung and bowel cancers were detected early in 2012

:18:16. > :18:21.and 2013, and increase of nearly 5% on the previous two years.

:18:22. > :18:23.However there is a continued increase

:18:24. > :18:33.in cancer cases, with around 30,000 people diagnosed with it in 2011.

:18:34. > :18:38.There's 15,000 of them, they work long hours, for no pay - but they

:18:39. > :18:42.The volunteers, or 'Clydesiders' are the friendly

:18:43. > :18:48.faces that greet you at the venues and work behind the scenes.

:18:49. > :18:54.Suzanne Allan went to meet two of them.

:18:55. > :19:00.Hello, Glasgow. This is the kind of welcome you will get at Glasgow

:19:01. > :19:06.Airport. Just arriving for work is one of them, a transport leader. His

:19:07. > :19:08.job is to make sure athletes and dignitaries get into the red cars

:19:09. > :19:13.and buses. He is loving dignitaries get into the red cars

:19:14. > :19:18.what surprised him most is dignitaries get into the red cars

:19:19. > :19:23.I was quite staggered the dignitaries get into the red cars

:19:24. > :19:25.somebody arrived and we had to get the pole vault to

:19:26. > :19:30.somebody arrived and we had to get of the athletes have their own

:19:31. > :19:32.bicycles. His favourite so far? Dame Kelly Holmes.

:19:33. > :19:38.bicycles. His favourite so far? Dame stopped to speak to us. We had Billy

:19:39. > :19:41.Connolly come through and he was once again stopped to talk to us all

:19:42. > :19:49.and we got a photograph taken with him. That was very nice. Two weeks

:19:50. > :19:57.ago, in Paris, Pauline said goodbye to her daughter. You see, she lives

:19:58. > :20:06.in Perth, Australia. She applied to be a volunteer from 9000 miles away.

:20:07. > :20:12.-- in parents. I got an e-mail through and burst into tears. I

:20:13. > :20:14.-- in parents. I got an e-mail so excited. Fast forward to today

:20:15. > :20:18.and she is working in accreditation. That is making sure everyone

:20:19. > :20:23.involved in the games as the right to security pass. I have loved it.

:20:24. > :20:29.The first few days were a bit overwhelming but I have settled into

:20:30. > :20:33.it and met a heap of people. So many I cannot remember their names! We

:20:34. > :20:36.had a Scottish athlete yesterday getting her hair done because they

:20:37. > :20:43.could not get a hair dresser. That was pretty cool. Back at the

:20:44. > :20:46.airport, it is break time. 15,000 volunteers may sound like a lot but

:20:47. > :20:48.when you take into account 50,000 applied, these people think they are

:20:49. > :20:51.the lucky ones. It's not just

:20:52. > :20:53.the sport that has brought people Thousands have spilled into the city

:20:54. > :20:58.this week to soak up the atmopshere. Catriona Renton is at Glasgow Green

:20:59. > :21:14.tonight. Welcome to Glasgow Green. The

:21:15. > :21:18.weather has maybe not been quite what we had been used to over the

:21:19. > :21:25.last couple of days but my goodness, that has not stopped people coming

:21:26. > :21:28.down. Over 30,000 people have been here just to this venue today. It is

:21:29. > :21:32.not just about the sport, as you were saying. There are all sorts of

:21:33. > :21:38.things going on. Culture, music, fashion, dance and probably

:21:39. > :21:41.something for everybody. I have been so lucky today to get a look around

:21:42. > :21:45.the city to see what you have all been up to. First of all, I went to

:21:46. > :21:52.see why everybody is Colin Glasgow the friendly city.

:21:53. > :21:57.-- is saying that Glasgow. This bike shop has helped the Friendly Games

:21:58. > :22:01.end their -- are never be decent. A few days ago, a few members of the

:22:02. > :22:04.Malawi team took their bikes to be repaired. But staff decided they

:22:05. > :22:10.were not in good enough condition that gave them to bicycles. Today,

:22:11. > :22:15.they are welcoming members from the teams from Antigua and St Vincent.

:22:16. > :22:19.The people are very nice and pretty excited for the games. Anywhere you

:22:20. > :22:23.go in the city, they just clapped and wave. All of the kids are

:22:24. > :22:30.pointing out so it is pretty fun at the moment. As they head to Glasgow

:22:31. > :22:34.Green, so do we. Tens of thousands have come here over the past few

:22:35. > :22:39.days. Whether it is for that photograph or just to soak up the

:22:40. > :22:42.atmosphere. It is great to see everybody enjoying themselves.

:22:43. > :22:48.Hundreds of people having a great time. Everybody friendly, talking to

:22:49. > :22:53.each other. Except for him! They have been looking around and buying

:22:54. > :22:57.stuff. It is lovely to come out with the family and be relaxed and enjoy

:22:58. > :23:05.everything that is going on. We ran against Usain Bolt. Who won? I was

:23:06. > :23:09.right behind him! And then on Kelvingrove and the newly

:23:10. > :23:12.refurbished Bandstand. The Glasgow senior citizens orchestra were in

:23:13. > :23:19.full flight when we got here. Security were enjoying the music. As

:23:20. > :23:24.where the crowd. We are doing the tour. We have been at Glasgow Green,

:23:25. > :23:29.the merchant city, the BBC, so we had not been to this part so that we

:23:30. > :23:33.would come along here. It may not be the glorious sunshine that we had

:23:34. > :23:38.yesterday and you can see that some of us have had to get our wrinkled

:23:39. > :23:44.vote, but we are not going to let that dampen our spirits. And then it

:23:45. > :23:50.was on to the BBC building. A stunt rider was entertaining the crowds.

:23:51. > :23:54.-- had to get our raincoats out. There is pretty much something for

:23:55. > :24:04.everyone. It is classical night here at Glasgow Green. At the moment, a

:24:05. > :24:08.string quartet are on stage. Later, the RSA -- the Royal Scottish

:24:09. > :24:14.National Orchestra. I found some friends. What do you think?

:24:15. > :24:17.CHEERING I think they are saying to come on

:24:18. > :24:20.down to Glasgow Green. I think we heard them!

:24:21. > :24:23.Now, just before we get the weather with Judith, a quick look at what

:24:24. > :24:33.The world is watching Glasgow right now. But no one mentions the slave

:24:34. > :24:37.trade that built so much of the city. That means they are strong

:24:38. > :24:41.links between Glasgow and some of our competitors like Jamaica but

:24:42. > :24:54.people do not like to talk about it. We will add it in 30 PM.

:24:55. > :24:57.-- at 10:30pm. It was barely warm across parts of Scotland today.

:24:58. > :25:02.Still holding on the warm sunshine in the East. Cloudier in the West,

:25:03. > :25:06.with a few showers here and the Northern Isles. Cloud increasing and

:25:07. > :25:12.showers keep coming in over the night. They will become more

:25:13. > :25:17.frequent as the night goes on. Dry across eastern areas, with some

:25:18. > :25:20.clear spells. Quite breezy as well. Those brought on by a brisk,

:25:21. > :25:27.westerly wind, particularly across the North. Tomorrow morning, quite

:25:28. > :25:32.breezy but try and break in the East. Those showers across Western

:25:33. > :25:35.and Northern areas will be fairly frequent initially but it is an

:25:36. > :25:41.improving day, as the showers diminish. In the afternoon, a much

:25:42. > :25:47.drier picture although there will still be lying showers in some

:25:48. > :25:50.places but they will clearly. Some sunshine for Galloway, Lanarkshire

:25:51. > :25:55.and Glasgow. Temperature is about average for a time of year. The main

:25:56. > :25:59.focus of any showers for the Northwest and there is still some

:26:00. > :26:04.brightness on coastal areas and an improving afternoon for the Northern

:26:05. > :26:10.Isles. Good spells sunshine expected for the Aberdeenshire area down

:26:11. > :26:14.towards Angus, Fife and the Borders. 21 Celsius here. It could be another

:26:15. > :26:19.warm day. As we head into the evening, we lose the showers in the

:26:20. > :26:25.West and has some dry, bright sunny spells. Eventually, those brisk

:26:26. > :26:30.winds easing down. We will see quite a showery regime on Thursday, if you

:26:31. > :26:34.like. This area of low pressure throwing out heavier showers to come

:26:35. > :26:38.for the country but in between them, the winds are lighter. We will see

:26:39. > :26:44.longer spells sunshine and longer drier spells also. When you do catch

:26:45. > :26:47.a shallow, it could be funded. Over the next couple of days for the

:26:48. > :26:51.games, starting off with a few showers in the morning but drier

:26:52. > :26:54.afternoon and winds easing on Thursday.

:26:55. > :26:58.Now, a reminder of tonight's main news:

:26:59. > :27:05.Halfway through the Commonwealth Games, this is Team Scotland's most

:27:06. > :27:11.successful games ever. The men's team in the gymnastics cleaned a

:27:12. > :27:17.silver and in the last hour, silver in their rifles.

:27:18. > :27:22.More than 100 Palestinians are said to have been killed in Israeli air

:27:23. > :27:28.strikes on Gaza. Israel carried out 60 air strikes overnight, targeting

:27:29. > :27:30.flavourful seated with Hamas, the Islamist group which controls Gaza.

:27:31. > :27:39.The bombardment continued this afternoon. -- targeting places of

:27:40. > :27:55.Hamas. We will be back later. Good night.

:27:56. > :27:57.Oh, well. As Vashrati says, gotta keep smiling!

:27:58. > :28:03.I leave the ashram, travel halfway across the world to find my father,

:28:04. > :28:07.Oh, well. As Vashrati says, gotta keep smiling!
