:02:46. > :02:50.happens in England as well. But the Westminster leaders are acutely
:02:51. > :02:54.aware that if, for any reason, devolution to Scotland is slowed up,
:02:55. > :02:57.there will be great anger in Scotland, and they know that they
:02:58. > :02:58.could suffer as a result at the ballot box.
:02:59. > :03:00.Political leaders have attended a special service of reconciliation at
:03:01. > :03:04.The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland,
:03:05. > :03:06.the Right Reverend John Chalmers, called for unity after
:03:07. > :03:15.the divisions of the referendum. Alexandra Mackenzie reports.
:03:16. > :03:23.This seemed unimaginable just days ago, yet this morning, differences
:03:24. > :03:27.were Kast aside by rival politicians. A handshake, symbolic
:03:28. > :03:34.of a coming together, at least for a moment.

:03:41. > :03:47.stood shoulder to shoulder. The arguments and debate, perhaps not
:03:48. > :03:54.forgotten, but left for another day. Post-referendum, there are those who
:03:55. > :03:57.are elated, or at least relieved, and there are those who are
:03:58. > :04:05.desperately disappointed. Feelings like these will take time to heal,
:04:06. > :04:09.and I want no one to think that I think there is a quick fix or an
:04:10. > :04:15.easy dusting down. The euphoria and the disappointment
:04:16. > :04:19.is raw, but in this service of reconciliation, symbolism and drew
:04:20. > :04:27.all parties together, as five flames became one.
:04:28. > :04:31.Followed by a further show of unity. The service was a welcome
:04:32. > :04:35.opportunity for all of Scotland to come together to reflect on the
:04:36. > :04:39.outcome of Thursday's referendum, which, although it was not
:04:40. > :04:43.personally to my liking, it was a triumph for democracy.
:04:44. > :04:47.I hope that that gesture will be replicated around kitchen tables and
:04:48. > :04:51.workplaces, pubs, clubs and school gates in the days ahead. There are
:04:52. > :04:56.no longer No supporters, there are no longer Yes supporters. It is just
:04:57. > :05:04.us. Our fellow Scots need to come together and build that better
:05:05. > :05:07.nation. Is this a symbolic gesture or the
:05:08. > :05:09.way forward for politicians as they enter it intense negotiations, or
:05:10. > :05:12.for the people of Scotland, who cast their votes just three days ago?
:05:13. > :05:14.Investigations are under way after shots were fired at a house and
:05:15. > :05:19.The first incident happened when the car was targeted at
