:00:09. > :00:12.Thousands of food and clothing parcels left Scotland this

:00:13. > :00:14.afternoon to be delivered to refugees in Europe.

:00:15. > :00:16.The winter aid packs have been donated to a campaign backed

:00:17. > :00:33.these essential supplies are bound for refugee camps in France, Serbia

:00:34. > :00:36.and Greece. This is the result of a campaign which asked people to

:00:37. > :00:45.donate ?5 to provide means for refugees or homeless people here. I

:00:46. > :00:49.am giving ?5. Hollywood star George Clooney kicked off the appeal when

:00:50. > :00:56.he visited the Edinburgh sandwich shop last month. The response has

:00:57. > :01:04.been huge. 75,000 pack mule donated to support homeless people here or

:01:05. > :01:07.refugees in Europe. The monetary effect has diluted the divisions and

:01:08. > :01:14.we had donations from all over the world. The fans also include warm

:01:15. > :01:18.clothes. The aid packages should reach the refugees in the next few

:01:19. > :01:22.days. The success of the campaign will ensure that social bite can

:01:23. > :01:25.continue to provide free means for homeless people in Scotland.

:01:26. > :01:27.Several galleries at the National Museum of Scotland

:01:28. > :01:30.remained closed because of a strike by visitor services staff.

:01:31. > :01:33.Members of the PCS union picketed outside in the latest stage

:01:34. > :01:38.of a long-running dispute about weekend allowances.

:01:39. > :01:39.National Museums Scotland say the payments described

:01:40. > :01:47.This is the third Boxing Day in a row which they've

:01:48. > :01:54.There has to be the political will from the Scottish Government and the

:01:55. > :01:59.will from management to get this settled. If they do not, our members

:02:00. > :02:03.are determined, the likelihood is that we'll be adding escalation of

:02:04. > :02:06.this industrial action. We and the public do not want that and we hope

:02:07. > :02:10.management and the Scottish Government do not want that but they

:02:11. > :02:11.have to be serious and thought it was a serious manner.

:02:12. > :02:14.A senior police officer is calling for CCTV cameras to be installed

:02:15. > :02:16.at the Glasgow Necropolis to stem antisocial behaviour.

:02:17. > :02:18.The Victorian cemetery has had issues with vandalism and drinking.

:02:19. > :02:31.The views from the Glasgow necropolis can be breathtaking at

:02:32. > :02:37.any time of year. With memorials for the great and good of the city

:02:38. > :02:41.including the man who wrote the famous nursery rhyme, this historic

:02:42. > :02:46.cemetery has something for everyone. In the past, the necropolis has had

:02:47. > :02:51.issues with anti-social behaviour such as vandalism and drinking. One

:02:52. > :02:53.idea suggested to keep the cemetery safe and free from anti-social

:02:54. > :03:01.behaviour is the installation of CCTV. CCTV has been proven to be an

:03:02. > :03:04.effective aid to policing in the city and I think it would go without

:03:05. > :03:09.saying it would be a benefit to this area. The friends of the Glasgow

:03:10. > :03:15.necropolis are volunteers who conduct tours of the cemetery and

:03:16. > :03:21.they want to see the area thrive. It is no different from a large part.

:03:22. > :03:26.We bring a lot of tourists era of archers. Tourists come all the time.

:03:27. > :03:29.The more foot fault. People feel safe here and there wouldn't be so

:03:30. > :03:34.many people if they didn't feel safe. Glasgow City Council said the

:03:35. > :03:39.possibility of CCTV has been explored but the career of the site

:03:40. > :03:42.makes it difficult. Historic environment Scotland said they would

:03:43. > :03:47.welcome further discussions. While the issue remains in the air, it is

:03:48. > :03:50.clear that everyone with a stake in this historic cemetery once the

:03:51. > :03:52.Glasgow necropolis to remain a highlight of this city.

:03:53. > :03:55.Football in the premiership Aberdeen and Inverness drew two all,

:03:56. > :03:57.Kilmarnock beat Hamilton one nil, Ross County beat Dundee 5-2

:03:58. > :04:06.and the matches at Partick and Dundee United were postponed.

:04:07. > :04:13.Well, it's time now for the weather outlook for tonight and tomorrow.

:04:14. > :04:20.Good evening. Spare a thought for our friends south of the border. We

:04:21. > :04:23.didn't seek the rain they did. The rain will continue to clear as we

:04:24. > :04:27.head through the course of this evening and tonight. Here is the

:04:28. > :04:33.rain. There will be hail and snow in the mix. It becomes confined to the

:04:34. > :04:37.far north and the Northern as. Breezy across the Northern Isles. So

:04:38. > :04:41.it will be dry and a clear picture and with the combination of

:04:42. > :04:45.conditions we are looking at, A cold night with a risk of ice on

:04:46. > :04:52.untreated surfaces in the east. Some mist fog may be there in the

:04:53. > :04:56.morning. The rain in the North clears quickly. It will brighten up

:04:57. > :05:00.nicely. Lovely spells of winter sunshine. It will feel cold with

:05:01. > :05:00.highs of six or seven Celsius. That is your forecast.

:05:01. > :05:03.Our next update is tomorrow evening at 6.20.

:05:04. > :05:06.Until then, from everyone here, enjoy the rest of your

:05:07. > :05:23.Good evening. The rain continues to fall across parts of northern

:05:24. > :05:28.England and Wales and we have a red weather warning in force, the top

:05:29. > :05:32.level of weather warnings meaning there is a continued risk to life

:05:33. > :05:36.and the threat of flooding. Right across northern England and Wales

:05:37. > :05:40.there could be further problems as the rain continues through the

:05:41. > :05:44.course of this evening. After midnight the rain will start to ease

:05:45. > :05:47.off but it should be drifting southwards and easing off as we go

:05:48. > :05:52.through the early hours of Sunday morning, the rain than arriving

:05:53. > :05:59.across the Midlands, south Wales and south-west England, but nothing like

:06:00. > :06:02.it has been further north. Largely dry across Scotland too, chilly

:06:03. > :06:10.across Northern Ireland, some fault here, very mild in the south-east.

:06:11. > :06:14.Much brighter across northern England and Northern Wales on

:06:15. > :06:18.Sunday, but the band of rain will creep back north through the day. It

:06:19. > :06:27.is a much weaker affair, the rain tomorrow nothing like as intense as

:06:28. > :06:33.it has been today. In Scotland, it will be dry, very mild again across

:06:34. > :06:35.the south. The drier theme continues into Monday, however there is the

:06:36. > :06:36.potential for more windy and wet
