:03:48. > :03:50.Football now, and Rangers have moved three points clear at the top

:03:51. > :03:52.of the Championship after beating their nearest challengers

:03:53. > :03:55.Rangers, who had midfielder Andy Halliday sent off,

:03:56. > :03:57.came from behind to secure a 4-2 victory.

:03:58. > :04:12.A capacity crowd of 50,000 is anticipated here at Ibrox for one of

:04:18. > :04:20.mind games ahead of this top of the table clash, but now it's time for

:04:21. > :04:27.the talking to stop and the action to begin. And when it did it lived

:04:28. > :04:29.up to its billing, with a brilliant opening

:04:30. > :04:33.up to its billing, with a brilliant half. Jason Cummings claiming his

:04:34. > :04:36.seventh goal in nine appearances against Rangers. Ten minutes later

:04:37. > :04:43.though, printers were back level, Jason Holt latching onto Martyn

:04:44. > :04:46.Waghorn's past. The former hearts midfield without it again, just

:04:47. > :04:51.after the interval, his deflected shot putting the home in front.

:04:52. > :04:54.Rangers introduced substitutes Dean Shiels and Nicky Clark, and the pair

:04:55. > :04:59.combined for the latter to put Rangers 35 and one in front. The

:05:00. > :05:06.home side then had midfielder Andy Halliday sent off after a clash with

:05:07. > :05:09.Fraser finally. That gave Hibs the hope of retrieving the situation,

:05:10. > :05:16.and Dominic Malonga steeped to bring a goal back. But Rangers were not

:05:17. > :05:22.perturbed, and Martyn Waghorn took his goal tally to 21 for the season

:05:23. > :05:28.with a terrific solo effort. As new year beckons, Mark Walton's Rangers

:05:29. > :05:29.hold the bragging rights and a 3-point gap at the top of the

:05:30. > :05:32.championship at the halfway stage. We covered the weather

:05:35. > :05:43.with a full forecast. Certainly some stormy weather on the

:05:44. > :05:46.way, but tonight is not going to be quite as bad. There is a band of

:05:47. > :05:51.rain working its way eastwards across the country. Strong to gale

:06:00. > :06:03.mph for Shetland. Temperatures of up to seven Celsius per most of us.

:06:04. > :06:09.Tomorrow morning the last of that rain will clear, across much of the

:06:10. > :06:14.UK through daylight hours will see fine weather. Some spells of

:06:15. > :06:18.sunshine. It is in the afternoon you will see strengthening winds ahead

:06:19. > :06:21.of the system spinning out in the Atlantic, that is Storm Frank, a

:06:22. > :06:26.rapidly deepening area of low pressure that will bring stormy

:06:27. > :06:33.conditions our way tomorrow evening. Strong to gale force of the release

:06:34. > :06:39.on the coasts, and gusts on their Western and Northern Isles. Ahead of

:06:40. > :06:43.that is well very heavy rain fall, a yellow warning covering much of

:06:44. > :06:47.Scotland for that rain. In addition, a higher-level amber warning,

:06:48. > :06:55.meaning be prepared for Dumfries Galloway, Ayrshire, as well as

:07:02. > :07:05.can see up to 90 millimetres of rainfall on already flood affected

:07:06. > :07:12.ground. Somatic conditions when ever you are on Wednesday, but

:07:13. > :07:18.particularly within that flood certain, combined with strong winds.

:07:19. > :07:22.Some improvement on Hogmanay across Scotland, particularly in the East.
