:01:18. > :01:19.but engineers also discovered the same faults which closed

:01:20. > :01:22.the bridge in the first place, at two other locations,

:01:23. > :01:28.The fact that we introduced the phase one splints mitigates

:01:29. > :01:33.the situation, however, the links are still under stress

:01:34. > :01:36.during full traffic loading, hence the plan to introduce

:01:37. > :01:51.Less congestion since cars were reduced.

:01:52. > :01:57.They say they want compensation from the Scottish Government.

:02:38. > :02:40.An Edinburgh lawyer has been cleared of causing the deaths of three

:02:41. > :02:42.people, including his wife and seven-year-old daughter,

:02:43. > :02:48.Andrew Houston was at the wheel of his car on the A9 near Newtonmore

:02:49. > :02:53.when it crossed the road into the path of another car.

:02:57. > :02:59.The horrific accident happened on a July evening in 2013,

:03:00. > :03:02.when Andrew Houston was driving his family south

:03:03. > :03:07.Witnesses said his car suddenly veered onto the wrong side

:03:08. > :03:15.of the road, smashing into a Jeep driven by a German tourist.

:03:16. > :03:17.Her husband was killed, so too was Mr Houston's wife Abigail

:03:18. > :03:24.Mr Houston had faced a charge of causing death by careless

:03:25. > :03:28.driving, but a jury found him not guilty of that charge,

:03:29. > :03:38.instead convicting him of the lesser charge of careless driving.

:03:39. > :03:41.We are shocked at this verdict and believe justice has not been

:03:42. > :03:46.We do not bear any hatred for Mr Houston.

:03:47. > :03:49.I did not want him to go to prison, but we expected him to be found

:03:50. > :03:58.guilty and we are convinced this tragedy could have been avoided.

:03:59. > :04:01.The crash seriously injured Mr Houston's other daughter Lily.

:04:02. > :04:06.She spent considerable time in intensive care.

:04:07. > :04:09.During the trial, the solicitor advocate was visibly upset

:04:10. > :04:19.Mr Hewson made no comment as he left court.

:04:20. > :04:22.He has been fined ?1,000 and banned from driving for a year.

:04:23. > :04:24.But as the trial continued, the QC told the court

:04:25. > :04:31.that he would forever carry the burden of guilt and distress.

:04:32. > :04:34.Two people have been injured in an accident at the SSE
