:00:00. > :00:00.So it's goodbye from me and on BBC One we now join the BBC's

:00:00. > :00:12.Raising income tax in Scotland - new independent analysis suggests it

:00:13. > :00:13.could reduce the impact of spending cuts.

:00:14. > :00:16.Two people are injured, after a motorbike stunt goes wrong

:00:17. > :00:27.during an extreme sports show in Glasgow.

:00:28. > :00:34.If you come off a motorbike on a three foot ramp, there is not much

:00:35. > :00:35.chance of balancing. With four people, you are guaranteed to come

:00:36. > :00:37.off the side. We're live at Murrayfield on the eve

:00:38. > :00:47.of the Calcutta Cup. The aim for Scotland tomorrow is to

:00:48. > :00:51.kick on against England. We meet the junior club footballer,

:00:52. > :00:54.who walks dogs for a living and is hoping for cup glory

:00:55. > :00:56.against Premiership opposition. And the veteran rockers who've

:00:57. > :00:59.finally topped the charts 40 years after they released

:01:00. > :01:17.their only album. Raising income tax in Scotland

:01:18. > :01:20.could reduce the impact of spending cuts

:01:21. > :01:22.and would weigh most That's according to

:01:23. > :01:27.an independent report. Both Labour and the Lib Dems have

:01:28. > :01:30.called for a tax rise in April, when new powers are

:01:31. > :01:32.handed to Holyrood. But the SNP says that raising taxes

:01:33. > :01:50.now would cause pain to many Hospitals, schools, rubbish bin

:01:51. > :01:54.collections and road repairs, all funded from Holyrood. Together they

:01:55. > :02:01.cost billions of pounds each year. Budget cuts mean they are now facing

:02:02. > :02:07.a squeeze. So, should the Scottish Parliament use its powers to raising

:02:08. > :02:10.contacts as a way to fill the spending gap? Labour and the Lib

:02:11. > :02:16.Dems say yes, it should, to protect public services. But would that be

:02:17. > :02:21.fair? This proposal is progressive in the sense that it leads higher

:02:22. > :02:24.income tax households to pay more tax and the majority of low in

:02:25. > :02:28.contact households are not affected at all. That is largely because they

:02:29. > :02:35.do not earn enough to pay tax in the first place. There shall be a

:02:36. > :02:40.Scottish parliament. I like that. It is more than 15 years since power

:02:41. > :02:43.was devolved to Scotland. We have had five first ministers and none of

:02:44. > :02:48.them have chosen to raising contacts. For now, Nicola Sturgeon

:02:49. > :02:53.is not convinced, but her main challenger is not. John Swinney is

:02:54. > :02:58.proposing hundreds of millions of pounds of cuts on schools and vital

:02:59. > :03:02.public services. We have a choice with the powers of our Parliament to

:03:03. > :03:06.choose a different course from Tory austerity. Faced with that choice, I

:03:07. > :03:10.would sooner use the powers of the parliament and pass was -- than to

:03:11. > :03:17.pass austerity to the next generation. The support from the

:03:18. > :03:20.Federation of Small Businesses, to the Scottish trade in Congress, they

:03:21. > :03:24.say we should not put up taxes because wage earners in Scotland

:03:25. > :03:28.have had below inflation wage rises for a number of years and this is

:03:29. > :03:33.not the time to hit them in their pocket. In the next few years,

:03:34. > :03:37.Holyrood is set to gain more powers, to vary income tax bands and tax

:03:38. > :03:42.rates. So, will some be asked to pay more? Today's report warns that if

:03:43. > :03:46.in future years tax hikes are to make a big pact on public spending,

:03:47. > :03:52.then Scotland cannot rely on the higher rate taxpayers alone. There

:03:53. > :03:57.aren't enough of them. So basic rate taxpayers would have to pay more.

:03:58. > :04:00.Two people have been injured after a motorbike stunt at the SSE

:04:01. > :04:05.It happened as the bike with four people on board tried to get

:04:06. > :04:09.Initially it was thought that two members of the audience had been

:04:10. > :04:12.involved but later it turned out they were members of the stunt crew.

:04:13. > :04:26.This is a multi passenger motorbike backflip, performed by members of a

:04:27. > :04:30.circus team. Last night, they attempted the same stunt in

:04:31. > :04:36.Glasgow's SSE Hydro arena, but it went wrong. Members of the crew

:04:37. > :04:50.rushed to help, as the host explained what happened. Did you

:04:51. > :04:54.have fun last night? Was it good? Two of the spectators were Stephen

:04:55. > :05:03.and his son, Nixon, who captured the incident on video. Right to the top.

:05:04. > :05:06.If you are going to come off a motorbike on a three foot ramp

:05:07. > :05:11.yourself, there's not much chance of balancing and on. With four people,

:05:12. > :05:17.you are guaranteed to go off the side. The passengers were initially

:05:18. > :05:21.thought to be spectators but it is understood they were part of the

:05:22. > :05:25.act. Two were taken to hospital, one with bruising and the other a broken

:05:26. > :05:30.jaw, but expected to make a full recovery. In a statement, the circus

:05:31. > :05:35.said it considered health and safety its top priority and has expert

:05:36. > :05:40.medical staff on site in the event of an emergency. Meanwhile, the show

:05:41. > :05:45.goes on. Next stop, London and the weekend.

:05:46. > :05:49.How this Arbroath boy who wanted to play football

:05:50. > :05:51.for Scotland is having to settle for playing

:05:52. > :05:59.Who'll have the upper hand in Edinburgh's big

:06:00. > :06:10.And can Scotland's rugby players silence these England fans?

:06:11. > :06:24.We look ahead to tomorrow's Six Nations match.

:06:25. > :06:29.Now the city wants to develop its position

:06:30. > :06:43.It is a world-famous view and they have come from the other side of the

:06:44. > :06:47.world to capture it. The number of Chinese visitors in Scotland is

:06:48. > :06:53.still small but it is a lucrative market, and most want to come to the

:06:54. > :06:58.capital. Scotland received 33,500 Chinese visitors in 2015. Edinburgh

:06:59. > :07:00.capital. Scotland received 33,500 received 29,000, so 83% of the

:07:01. > :07:08.market will come to Edinburgh. The value of that, ?62 million. It is

:07:09. > :07:13.things like the Royals, our history and architecture that bring Chinese

:07:14. > :07:16.visitors. Top attractions, like the Royal yacht Britannia, now provide

:07:17. > :07:28.audio tours in Mandarin and Cantonese. Like the building. These

:07:29. > :07:32.cities are required. The Chinese community were queueing up for the

:07:33. > :07:36.New Year today. This will be the year of the monkey. Despite the

:07:37. > :07:39.Chinese economy faltering, overseas travel is booming. Last year for the

:07:40. > :07:46.first time more Chinese people decided to spend holidays travelling

:07:47. > :07:51.overseas man holidaying at home. There are concerns that Edinburgh

:07:52. > :07:53.might not be ready enough for China. A tourism action group has been set

:07:54. > :07:58.up. How about a couple of A tourism action group has been set

:07:59. > :08:03.of the big things is the language. For the products, have some Chinese

:08:04. > :08:05.labels. Also on the tourist guide, if they have easy

:08:06. > :08:12.labels. Also on the tourist guide, tour guides and translations. With

:08:13. > :08:17.the breakfast or some food, it could beat it used to our flavour. That

:08:18. > :08:21.would be better. Businesses are taking this on board. In the

:08:22. > :08:24.historic old town, they are investing in Chinese speaking

:08:25. > :08:27.guides. In the old town, everything is very old and it has this weight

:08:28. > :08:33.of history which is nice for them, I think. The lion is considered an

:08:34. > :08:37.auspicious animal, which brings good luck. Perhaps that can be translated

:08:38. > :08:40.into the pitch to make this a must see destination.

:08:41. > :08:43.A look at other stories from across the country...

:08:44. > :08:46.A motorist who was caught behind the wheel more than seven times over

:08:47. > :08:48.the drink-drive limit has been banned for five years

:08:49. > :08:50.at Falkirk Sheriff Court and ordered to carry out 250 hours

:08:51. > :08:57.48-year-old Gary Barkhouse from Bo'ness had drunk a bottle

:08:58. > :09:01.and a half of vodka in an afternoon and when arrested didn't know

:09:02. > :09:07.Managers from British Telecom were in Skye today as a public

:09:08. > :09:09.meeting was held over broadband speeds on the island.

:09:10. > :09:13.Some businesses say the connections are so slow, they've gone back

:09:14. > :09:19.to using post instead of the internet.

:09:20. > :09:22.There's growing pressure in the Argyll islands to break away

:09:23. > :09:27.Some islanders say the existing authority is too large,

:09:28. > :09:30.stretching from Helensburgh on the Clyde coast to islands

:09:31. > :09:35.They complain that the council doesn't adequately reflect island

:09:36. > :09:59.RSPB Scotland has bought a 40 acre site with a grant from the Heritage

:10:00. > :10:00.Lottery Fund. The charity has been managing the site for nearly eight

:10:01. > :10:02.years. Experts believe they may have caught

:10:03. > :10:04.a pure-bred Scottish wildcat It's thought there may be

:10:05. > :10:09.as few as 35 of them left, making them one of the world's

:10:10. > :10:11.most endangered animals. The images are now being scrutinised

:10:12. > :10:13.for confirmation that The largest exhibition

:10:14. > :10:20.of the Queen's clothes and accessories ever shown

:10:21. > :10:23.in Scotland will open at the Palace of Holyroodhouse

:10:24. > :10:25.for her 90th birthday. The display, being held

:10:26. > :10:27.in Edinburgh from 21 April, has been selected to cover

:10:28. > :10:34.the Queen's life and reign. Feats of daring and adventure

:10:35. > :10:37.in some of the world's most challenging landscapes will be

:10:38. > :10:39.showcased this weekend at the annual The event aims to give an insight

:10:40. > :10:46.into mountain terrains and culture and offers film makers the chance

:10:47. > :10:48.to show their work It was the biggest project ever

:10:49. > :10:59.undertaken at the National Theatre Three plays about three Stewart

:11:00. > :11:02.kings, performed back-to-back by a Now the James Plays are back and off

:11:03. > :11:07.on tour around the world. Our arts correspondent

:11:08. > :11:20.Pauline McLean reports. Three Stuart kings and three

:11:21. > :11:28.different stories, all told across three plays. They put this heavy

:11:29. > :11:33.metal crown on me and I was king. Originally performed as part of the

:11:34. > :11:36.Edinburgh International Festival, this was the biggest project the

:11:37. > :11:40.National Theatre of Scotland had ever undertaken, and one of their

:11:41. > :11:43.most successful. I did not know whether we would get them up again

:11:44. > :11:47.because they are such huge productions that it takes a lot of

:11:48. > :11:50.resource, a lot of people and you need a lot of interest to get them

:11:51. > :11:57.on the road again. And they are difficult to take on tour, a big

:11:58. > :12:02.beast. We will be warriors, ruling the country like roaring lions. Ten

:12:03. > :12:11.of the original cast have returned, with ten new actors. You

:12:12. > :12:14.disappointed me, James. But for all of the cast, it is a rare

:12:15. > :12:19.opportunity to be involved in what has been described as the theatrical

:12:20. > :12:26.equivalent of a TV box set, three plays in one day. We can never go

:12:27. > :12:31.back to the 1990s. It became event theatre. Particularly when you hit a

:12:32. > :12:36.festival, like last time. 32,000 people saw it in 21 days, which is

:12:37. > :12:40.incredible. I have not played to that many people for a very long

:12:41. > :12:46.time, unless it was on camera. We have got used to watching box sets

:12:47. > :12:51.on television. 45 minutes, a quick cup of tea and come back. You get

:12:52. > :12:56.that with these plays. James is back, three of them, and off to see

:12:57. > :12:58.the world. They will tour across Scotland, England, New Zealand and

:12:59. > :13:02.Australia before the year is out. It's one of the biggest nights

:13:03. > :13:05.in American sport and this weekend the people of Arbroath will be

:13:06. > :13:07.taking a special interest Graham Gano, one of the rising stars

:13:08. > :13:11.of American football, is a kicker for the Carolina

:13:12. > :13:29.Panthers and he spent his early This is where they usually watch

:13:30. > :13:33.their football in Arbroath, the stadium that is home to the League 2

:13:34. > :13:37.club. This is the slightly bigger stadium they will have their eyes on

:13:38. > :13:43.on Sunday night when Denver Broncos take on the Carolina Panthers in the

:13:44. > :13:50.super file. The man holding the Arbroath top is the reason why.

:13:51. > :13:54.Panthers' kicker, Graham Gano. He lived near the town in his early

:13:55. > :13:57.years. Now, along with the rest of his team, he is getting ready for

:13:58. > :14:02.one of the biggest nights of his sporting life. 6000 miles away, back

:14:03. > :14:08.home in Scotland, family will be watching. I am excited for my family

:14:09. > :14:11.over there, and my mum in Florida, my sister, uncles, cousins and my

:14:12. > :14:17.niece. It is nice to have family back home cheering for me. Arbroath

:14:18. > :14:21.might have been his home for a few early years but his success in

:14:22. > :14:26.American football has not gone unnoticed and there is a buzz in the

:14:27. > :14:30.town. There will be some bleary eyes on Monday morning because they will

:14:31. > :14:33.be cheering him on. What an inspiration for youngsters in the

:14:34. > :14:36.town and the rest of Angus as well. More support from Coldplay, the

:14:37. > :14:42.Super Bowl's half-time entertainment. Our bass player is

:14:43. > :14:49.Scottish so we feel a certain affinity with the Scots. I think we

:14:50. > :14:53.will go Panthers. Scottish football has sent its own good luck messages.

:14:54. > :15:00.My dream was to play for the Scottish National Party, playing

:15:01. > :15:05.football. It has changed a bit. If the Carolina Panthers win on Sunday

:15:06. > :15:09.night, he says he will come back to Arbroath, where he grew up all those

:15:10. > :15:13.years ago. He wants to take tea with the Provost. There might not be a

:15:14. > :15:16.ticker tape parade, but he is assured of a warm welcome.

:15:17. > :15:20.Let's get all the sport now from David.

:15:21. > :15:22.On the eve of the Six Nations Championship one former Scotland

:15:23. > :15:26.captain has told us he's expecting a "great performance"

:15:27. > :15:30.from the national team against England tomorrow.

:15:31. > :15:32.Gavin Hastings believes the Scots won't be overawed -

:15:33. > :15:34.something he thinks may have happened in recent meetings.

:15:35. > :15:36.Let's find out more from our reporter Phil Goodlad

:15:37. > :15:54.Good evening to the national stadium. The calm before the storm.

:15:55. > :16:00.For Scotland, the task is to rid themselves of some unwanted records

:16:01. > :16:02.of late. Only once in the last 16 years had Scotland managed an

:16:03. > :16:06.opening day victory in the championship. When it comes to

:16:07. > :16:11.tomorrow's opponents, Scotland haven't beaten England here at

:16:12. > :16:19.Murrayfield in eight long years. This marks a busy time for the

:16:20. > :16:25.capital, especially when the old enemy is in town. It feels like

:16:26. > :16:29.Scotland are on the rise, but they have had a few false dawns in the

:16:30. > :16:37.time. Do you think Scotland will win? I do. Sorry Englishmen. There

:16:38. > :16:41.is growing optimism surrounding the Scotland side and the belief that

:16:42. > :16:46.better times lie ahead. Greats of the past agree. We have a talented

:16:47. > :16:51.group of players. But they have got to go out and do it because they

:16:52. > :16:54.only get one shot of this opening match against England at

:16:55. > :17:00.Murrayfield. The last couple of times we have played England appear,

:17:01. > :17:05.we have failed to turn up. I don't expect that to happen. I just expect

:17:06. > :17:12.Scotland can go out and produce a great performance. Beware the

:17:13. > :17:18.English backlash. After the World Cup, changes have been made. I have

:17:19. > :17:24.watched countless episodes of The Games. I have had to do a bit of

:17:25. > :17:28.catch-up work because of the fact they have not played in a game since

:17:29. > :17:33.the World Cup. The players understand the responsibility on

:17:34. > :17:38.Saturday. 12 months ago, Scotland lead at half-time before crumbling

:17:39. > :17:46.to Twickenham defeat. Tomorrow, records are there to be broken and

:17:47. > :17:50.songs to be sung. The job for Scotland is clear-cut. Win and those

:17:51. > :17:57.songs for silence. I mentioned records earlier. The BBC is

:17:58. > :18:02.streaming this much alive, 200 miles into space so major Tim Peake can

:18:03. > :18:06.watch the Calcutta Cup clash. He sent a message to the players today

:18:07. > :18:12.that said, made the best team win, come on England! Lets hope he is a

:18:13. > :18:16.disappointed man up in space tomorrow. I wonder if they can see

:18:17. > :18:19.your scarf from space. Continuing the big weekend

:18:20. > :18:21.of sport in the capital, Hearts host Hibs in a Scottish

:18:22. > :18:24.Cup derby on Sunday. The home side's head coach

:18:25. > :18:26.thinks their Premeirship status The Hibs manager, while entertaining

:18:27. > :18:30.thoughts of a treble, insists getting the club back

:18:31. > :18:44.to the premiership is his priority. The Scottish cup has pitched hearts

:18:45. > :18:50.and Hibs together on many occasions, giving supporters moments they will

:18:51. > :18:55.never forget. In 2012, Hibs offered this winning response, months after

:18:56. > :18:59.a cup final thumping. This season the competition has restored the

:19:00. > :19:03.Edinburgh derby to the footballing calendar. Second in the championship

:19:04. > :19:09.visiting third in the Premiership. I the Hearts head coach could be

:19:10. > :19:13.significant. Last season in the championship, you play one tough

:19:14. > :19:19.game and then three or four way you coast through it. But in the top

:19:20. > :19:20.flight, you need to be bang on it every week. It may give us an

:19:21. > :19:27.advantage, but it is a derby game every week. It may give us an

:19:28. > :19:32.both play at the top of their potential, it will be a great game.

:19:33. > :19:38.Hearts' new striker takes experience into the game. He is

:19:39. > :19:38.Hearts' new striker takes experience other new recruit. The transfer

:19:39. > :19:44.window has also strengthened Hibs. other new recruit. The transfer

:19:45. > :19:47.Promotion is top of the wish list but they are the only club that can

:19:48. > :19:53.secure the trouble. I didn't say we would win it, but while we are in

:19:54. > :19:58.it, we will do our best to keep progressing. Sunday is another

:19:59. > :19:59.chance to progress in the Scottish cup. We know it is going

:20:00. > :20:06.chance to progress in the Scottish really difficult. Both Hearts and

:20:07. > :20:10.Hibs have other priorities this season, but those will offer little

:20:11. > :20:13.consolation to which ever set of supporters see the dreams of cup

:20:14. > :20:16.glory extinguished by the biggest rivals.

:20:17. > :20:18.Let's stay with the Scottish Cup because

:20:19. > :20:22.for the first time a junior club has made it to the last 16 of the Cup.

:20:23. > :20:25.Linlithgow Rose are away to the team who are fourth in the Premiership -

:20:26. > :20:30.The West Lothian based club have already knocked League Two Forfar

:20:31. > :20:35.And I've been out and about with the man who scored the winner

:20:36. > :20:50.You are probably wondering who let the dogs out? It is Kevin Kelbie. He

:20:51. > :20:58.walks them professionally. Hello. Nice to meet you. This is the Park

:20:59. > :21:05.here. You play for Linlithgow Rose, but this is your day job? Of course,

:21:06. > :21:10.this is my job and I have done this for a little while and it has taken

:21:11. > :21:16.off. It is great for the dogs and great for me. Here is Kevin

:21:17. > :21:21.Kelbie... This could be the goal that puts Linlithgow Rose into the

:21:22. > :21:26.last 16 of the Scottish cup. His goal earning them an away tie

:21:27. > :21:35.against Ross County. You are the big underdogs in this match! Of course,

:21:36. > :21:40.everybody knows that. None of the players are going up to win, we are

:21:41. > :21:46.underdogs. Ross County with underdogs Celtic at the weekend in

:21:47. > :21:49.the League Cup. If they are at this stage of the cup as well, we will

:21:50. > :21:58.wait and see what happens. No pressure on us at all. I have been

:21:59. > :22:03.desperate to do this... Go for it. Fetch! Only one winner. Same as

:22:04. > :22:21.Saturday. No comment. No comment. You can follow all of the weekend's

:22:22. > :22:22.sport on the BBC. You do know Phil's grandmother knitted that scarf you

:22:23. > :22:25.are so rude about. Always thought your musical talent

:22:26. > :22:27.had been sadly overlooked? A Christian heavy rock band,

:22:28. > :22:31.who released just one album in the '70s, have been

:22:32. > :22:33.topping the rare vinyl charts, and that's

:22:34. > :22:35.led to a record deal. Aileen Clarke has

:22:36. > :22:46.been to meet them. Forget the godfather of Soul, these

:22:47. > :23:01.are the grandfathers of Christian rock. Meet White Light. A lack of

:23:02. > :23:10.amplifier and drum kit didn't stop them giving an impromptu gig at the

:23:11. > :23:15.parish church today. The only LP has been picked up by a Spanish record

:23:16. > :23:20.company and remastered and rereleased. In its heyday, the band

:23:21. > :23:26.made the Scottish finals of a Melody maker competition. But the recently

:23:27. > :23:30.retired Kirk minister and lead guitarist, admits this was a slow

:23:31. > :23:37.burner. We were astonished to discover an original LP changed

:23:38. > :23:41.hands for $159 and there was an interest all over the place at these

:23:42. > :23:46.figures. It became a collector's item. There are people on the

:23:47. > :23:50.Internet that trade these things and our band appears at the top of the

:23:51. > :23:54.rarity list, so that got the attention of the record company and

:23:55. > :23:59.various record dealers. Improvising with the biscuit tin today was quite

:24:00. > :24:06.the style jig. The very first drum I played was a quality Street tin with

:24:07. > :24:11.my mother's wooden knitting needles. I can still hear the rattling of the

:24:12. > :24:18.quality Street tin with a spring in tied it, imitating a snare drum.

:24:19. > :24:21.With an average age of 64 and three quarters and only played one big

:24:22. > :24:26.since the 1970s, surely there are plans for a comeback concert? No

:24:27. > :24:33.particular plans to get on the stage and play again, but you never know.

:24:34. > :24:41.So you are very much open to offers? Never say never. Hamdan sounds good.

:24:42. > :24:46.Maybe the Armadillo, it is warmer in there. The parable of this story

:24:47. > :24:47.seems to be it is worth rooting around in the attic and you can rock

:24:48. > :25:05.into your retirement. Much of Scotland has been under a

:25:06. > :25:11.blanket of cloud and rain today. This evening, the rain continues to

:25:12. > :25:15.pull away into the North Sea. Behind it, a lot of dry weather under

:25:16. > :25:20.clearing skies across eastern areas. There will be a risk of ice on

:25:21. > :25:25.untreated roads and services. Further west there will be showers

:25:26. > :25:28.feeding in overnight, turning wintry over the hills. Breezy conditions

:25:29. > :25:35.across western coastal areas from the south. Temperatures in the towns

:25:36. > :25:42.and cities holding up two to four Celsius tonight. As we head into

:25:43. > :25:45.tomorrow, the risk of ice continues. The best and the brightest weather

:25:46. > :25:51.is across the far north and the Northern Isles. But it turns

:25:52. > :25:55.progressively cloudier and there will be outbreaks of rain. Given we

:25:56. > :26:00.have a southerly airflow tomorrow afternoon, the most persistent of

:26:01. > :26:04.the rain will be across the far south of Scotland. Drier interludes

:26:05. > :26:09.towards Glasgow and Edinburgh. More in the way of rain across Perthshire

:26:10. > :26:13.and Angus and in parts of Aberdeenshire. A few showers across

:26:14. > :26:19.the North, very limited in terms of brightness and a chilly feel and

:26:20. > :26:22.exposure to these risk winds. If you're going hill walking and

:26:23. > :26:28.climbing tomorrow, across the more southern ranges it is a mixture of

:26:29. > :26:33.rain, sleet and snow. Rising to 2000 feet in the day. Strong winds

:26:34. > :26:37.leading to white out conditions and temporary blizzard conditions and

:26:38. > :26:44.severe wind-chill. The best of any drier interludes will be across the

:26:45. > :26:49.moor Northwestern ranges. On the inshore waters in south-west it is a

:26:50. > :26:53.force for 247 with moderate to rough seas and moderate to good

:26:54. > :26:59.visibility. And furthermore eastern areas, a force of five 247 with

:27:00. > :27:06.moderate to good visibility. If you are heading to Murrayfield to see

:27:07. > :27:10.the rugby, largely dry conditions, albeit cloudy. Temperatures of

:27:11. > :27:16.around six Celsius and breezy from the south-east. Tomorrow evening, we

:27:17. > :27:21.held on to cloudy skies with further outbreaks of rain and breezy

:27:22. > :27:25.conditions. Into Sunday, showers or longer spells of rain with snow on

:27:26. > :27:28.the hills. The best of the drier, brighter weather will be found in

:27:29. > :27:33.the north-east. Chilly again and strong winds in central Scotland.

:27:34. > :27:41.I'll be back with the headlines at 8.00pm and the late bulletin just

:27:42. > :27:45.Until then, have a very good evening.
