:01:21. > :01:23.There is still getting away from the fact that,

:01:24. > :01:26.yes, this is a difficult time for the North Sea oil and gas sector

:01:27. > :01:28.and that is reflected in these figures, but Scotland's economy

:01:29. > :01:31.is strong and, if you look over the medium term,

:01:32. > :01:34.that strength is obvious and, if you look today in terms of higher

:01:35. > :01:36.employment and productivity growth, that strength is very obvious too.

:02:10. > :02:12.that's the prospect of life outside the United Kingdom, that's why I'm

:02:13. > :02:19.The oil revenue figures may well be worse in the current financial year.

:02:20. > :02:21.I think Nicola Sturgeon's economic credibility has been

:02:38. > :02:41.the United Kingdom would have had Scotland.

:02:42. > :02:44.In reality, it means cuts five times as deep as what the Tories

:02:45. > :02:51.But Scottish ministers say North Sea oil has sent a total of ?300 billion

:04:47. > :04:55.Detective Chief Inspector David Moran thinks that comment

:04:56. > :05:00.points the finger at him, because he believes he's the only

:05:01. > :05:02.officer the murder squad to have been targeted by

:05:03. > :05:10.So, in a letter to the Justice Committee, DI Moran says

:06:10. > :06:14.Earlier, I spoke to reporter Steven Duff at Cults Academy

:06:15. > :06:24.This statement came 48 hours family had been saying.

:06:25. > :06:28.This statement came 48 hours after the culpable homicide verdict at the

:06:29. > :06:36.High Court in Aberdeen, quite a lengthy statement paying tribute to

:06:37. > :06:39.Bailey. It ends, we will always be immensely proud he was a son and

:06:40. > :06:45.will need time and space to come to terms with what has happened. It was

:06:46. > :06:54.a true blessing and privilege to have Bailey and to raise and love

:06:55. > :06:57.him, not something that time or a parting will ever change. It ends,

:06:58. > :07:03.my true gent, with love we hold you in our hearts. What Paul, Bailey

:07:04. > :07:09.Gwynne Reed boy. That was his mother. -- wok told. Have we heard

:07:10. > :07:15.from the council about the circumstances? -- walk tall.

:07:16. > :07:18.Well, they haven't answered questions or been giving any

:07:19. > :07:20.interviews about the circumstances of what happened here last October.

:07:21. > :07:22.They did put a statement on their website last night,

:07:23. > :07:25.with questions that they say they've been asked, and some answers.

:07:26. > :07:27.But they say they don't want to go any further,

:07:28. > :07:29.because it could infringe an independent review

:07:30. > :07:33.The one big question this statement didn't answer and still hasn't been

:07:34. > :07:36.answered is why, as we heard in court, did the headteacher

:07:37. > :07:39.at Cults Academy, Anna Muirhead, have to warn

:07:40. > :07:41.the killer of Bailey Gwynne about the danger of

:07:42. > :07:47.That was while he was in first or second year.

:07:48. > :07:50.We still haven't had an answer to that or the importance

:07:51. > :08:00.The UK government has been defeated in the House of Commons

:08:01. > :08:03.over its plans to extend Sunday opening hours in England and Wales.

:08:04. > :08:06.The SNP joined Tory rebels to vote against the proposals,

:08:09. > :08:10.whether larger stores in their areas can trade for longer

:08:11. > :08:23.MPs voted by 317 to 286 for an amendment rejecting the plans.

:08:24. > :08:26.The friend of a man who died following an incident

:08:27. > :08:28.while they were both camping in Renfrewshire has appeared

:08:29. > :08:35.William Cameron, who's 37, is charged with killing 43-year-old

:08:36. > :08:38.Darryl Fitch at Locher Water near Bridge of Weir

:08:39. > :08:55.At Paisley Sheriff Court, Mr Cameron made no plea

:08:56. > :08:59.The Culture Secretary confirmed details of the project this morning.

:09:00. > :09:01.It would build on existing studio space

:09:02. > :09:07.Our arts correspondent Pauline McLean reports.

:09:08. > :09:12.Scotland has always offered good locations for film-makers.

:09:13. > :09:15.This was Sunset Song in Aberdeen. But a studio has taken longer.

:09:16. > :09:19.The latest plan would build on an existing complex

:09:20. > :09:26.for the American TV series Outlander.

:09:27. > :09:29.We bought the facility in 2013, with a view to manufacturing parts

:09:30. > :09:33.for trucks and buses, but within two weeks,

:09:34. > :09:36.I had an approach from Creative Scotland, would I be

:09:37. > :09:37.interested in talking to Sony Pictures?

:09:38. > :09:40.We did and, from then, the rest is history.

:09:41. > :09:43.Two seasons of the show have been made there so far.

:09:44. > :09:47.A decision on a third season is yet to be taken.

:09:48. > :09:49.But whether they stay or go, the plan is to expand

:09:50. > :09:51.on the existing facilities, adding a further two soundstages

:09:52. > :09:59.What's exciting about the proposed development is that we would add

:10:00. > :10:03.some fantastic infrastructure of 30,000 square feet,

:10:04. > :10:06.50 feet high, a new studio which would be able to house

:10:07. > :10:10.just about any global production here in Scotland.

:10:11. > :10:13.For those who have long argued that Scotland needs to offer film-makers

:10:14. > :10:15.studio facilities, as well as locations,

:10:16. > :10:20.it's a welcome start. But more is needed.

:10:21. > :10:23.The Ward Park project will support Outlander and will probably be used

:10:24. > :10:33.for the next ten years by Sony and by Leftbank and the other film

:10:34. > :10:36.productions that want to come in are not going to see that.

:10:37. > :10:39.We need other studio space that is going to serve

:10:40. > :10:41.high-end television getting made, is going to serve the big budgets.

:10:42. > :10:43.Plans like the Pentland Studios, an entirely private development,

:10:44. > :10:46.which the government insists is still under consideration.

:10:47. > :10:49.It hopes the Ward Park plans, which will be submitted

:10:50. > :10:51.to planning this week, are just part

:10:52. > :10:59.of a wider studio development. Pauline McLean, Reporting Scotland.

:11:00. > :11:01.One football result in the Scottish Premiership tonight

:11:02. > :11:04.with St Johnstone beating Inverness Caley Thistle 1-0.

:11:05. > :11:08.A late goal by Chris Kane gave the Perth side only their second

:11:09. > :11:09.Premiership win in the last 12 games.
