:00:45. > :00:49.This is deeply disturbing, it sets an extremely

:00:55. > :01:05.Ahmadiyyas, they follow the Prophet Muhammad,

:06:11. > :06:12.to meet her pledge to double free childcare for three

:06:13. > :06:19.This is a transformational commitment.

:06:20. > :06:22.It will take us the next Parliament to build up to delivering

:06:23. > :06:25.that commitment in full, but I think it is the most important

:06:26. > :06:26.infrastructure project that we will undertake

:06:27. > :06:38.With a little help, Kezia Dugdale counts out the cash she says

:06:39. > :06:40.struggling families would save under Labour's council tax plans.

:06:41. > :06:43.Visiting a credit union in Paisley, she insisted Labour would outpace

:06:44. > :06:47.the SNP's anti-poverty plans, funded by a penny on all income tax

:06:48. > :06:52.rates, plus higher tax for the very top earners.

:06:53. > :06:54.Risk taxing the millionaires, risk asking the wealthiest

:06:55. > :06:57.to pay a bit more tax, because the price of not doing that

:06:58. > :07:00.will be paid by the poorest people across Scotland.

:07:01. > :07:03.Nicola Sturgeon says Labour's plans could penalise the poor.

:07:28. > :07:29.We are looking at issues surrounding housing,

:07:30. > :07:32.surrounding child care, because we know that particularly

:07:33. > :07:34.for people from deprived areas, that gap opens up before

:07:35. > :07:43.We will look at more flexible childcare for one and two-year-olds

:07:44. > :07:46.Who's said never work with animals or children?

:07:47. > :07:49.Not Willie Rennie, anyway, as he keeps this African fish eagle

:07:50. > :07:52.He was advocating action to help rural Scotland,

:07:53. > :07:55.but he says more money for education would help tackle

:07:56. > :08:02.Liberal Democrats believe the route out of poverty can be guaranteed

:08:03. > :08:06.That's why we're going to invest ?475 million in nursery

:08:07. > :08:10.schools and schools, but also in colleges,

:08:11. > :08:13.to give people the skills and education they need to be

:08:39. > :08:41.Nigel Farage arrives with no protesters to greet him,

:08:42. > :08:43.just journalists, some Ukip supporters and a kilted

:08:44. > :08:52.I'm quite pleased to say I suppose that there wasn't the usual

:08:53. > :08:55.Here is what happened a year before the Scottish

:08:56. > :09:09.Ukip campaigned to keep the UK together and wants

:09:10. > :09:14.no further devolution of power from Westminster.

:09:15. > :09:18.The party exists to get the UK out of the European Union.

:09:19. > :09:21.At Holyrood, they aspire to lower income tax and introduce a new 30p

:09:22. > :09:22.middle rate when economic circumstances allow.

:09:23. > :09:28.What we are saying is that we will in Holyrood campaign actively

:09:29. > :09:29.against tax increases because we believe that will make

:09:30. > :09:33.Ukip's only elected politician in Scotland says he'll stand down

:09:34. > :09:35.from the European Parliament to focus on Holyrood

:09:36. > :09:42.Would you keep free personal care for the elderly?

:09:43. > :10:11.How would you find all of that when you also want to cut taxes

:10:12. > :10:14.and cut the block grant that Holyrood receives from Westminster?

:10:15. > :10:16.Well, I can tell you quite simply, although rest of them don't

:10:17. > :10:24.referendum, rather than in next month's Holyrood vote.

:10:25. > :10:26.Ukip has never had anyone elected to the Scottish Parliament before.

:10:27. > :10:29.They used to want to close it down, but at this election,

:10:30. > :10:31.Nigel Farage is predicting a breakthrough that some

:10:32. > :10:33.of his controversial un-politically correct candidates will win seats

:10:34. > :10:39.An investigation is underway, after a 37-year-old woman was raped

:10:40. > :10:43.Police said the woman was subjected to a serious sexual

:10:44. > :10:53.assault in Queen's Park, near the Shawlands area

:10:54. > :10:55.of the city, at about 11pm on the 30th of March.

:10:56. > :10:58.Police have appealed for anyone who was in the park that night,

:10:59. > :11:01.and who saw anyone acting suspiciously, to get in touch.

:11:02. > :11:02.The last surviving resident of St Kilda, a remote

:11:03. > :11:04.archipelago evacuated in 1930, has died.

:11:05. > :11:08.Rachel Johnson, seen here third from the right,

:11:09. > :11:12.was born on the main island of Hirta in July 1922.

:11:13. > :11:19.Now the weather outlook for tonight and tomorrow.

:11:20. > :11:26.Thank you. Good evening. We have showers stating away tonight and we

:11:27. > :11:31.will see largely clear skies. Today we had some heavy showers, but also

:11:32. > :11:36.some sunny spells. This from one of our weather watchers. We could see

:11:37. > :11:39.some largely dry and fine images with beautiful sunshine in store as

:11:40. > :11:46.well. The showers will continue to fade away. Lingering only four more

:11:47. > :11:50.Easter in coastal areas. Temperatures dipping, especially for

:11:51. > :11:55.Northern areas, temperatures could be below freezing. We could see a

:11:56. > :12:00.frost with lighter winds. Quarter to share were still around for me as

:12:01. > :12:04.well. For tomorrow morning, largely dry, sunshine around, Dumfries and

:12:05. > :12:08.Galloway get sunshine as well. A bit more cloud around for the Borders in

:12:09. > :12:12.the morning, the risk of water to showers here. Along the eastern

:12:13. > :12:15.coast, with the risk of one or two showers. Elsewhere, largely dry and

:12:16. > :12:21.find, especially across more northern parts of the country, a

:12:22. > :12:24.start. The rest of the country, largely dry and fine for most of us,

:12:25. > :12:30.a few scattered showers around and later in the day by the afternoon we

:12:31. > :12:34.will see a weather front pushing in across Northern Ireland by lunchtime

:12:35. > :12:38.and the Western fringes of Scotland and Wales and England as well into

:12:39. > :12:41.the afternoon. Temperatures could reach double figures, but for

:12:42. > :12:45.eastern parts of Scotland, maybe or only eight or nine Celsius at best.

:12:46. > :12:50.He continues to progress tonight from West to East, some snow for the

:12:51. > :12:54.Grampians for a time is possible, temperatures down to four or five

:12:55. > :13:00.Celsius, quite a wet and cloudy starch of the weekend. J starts off

:13:01. > :13:05.damp, the weather front will move northward, and improving story

:13:06. > :13:09.through the day. Some sunny spells, scattered showers, but the rain band

:13:10. > :13:16.lingers in the northern and eastern coastal areas. Temperatures on the

:13:17. > :13:19.cooler side, seven to 10 Celsius. Some uncertainty because of this low

:13:20. > :13:22.pressure to the southwest of the UK, but for Scotland it looks largely

:13:23. > :13:24.dry and fine. Our next update is during Breakfast

:13:25. > :13:29.at 6:25 tomorrow morning. But, from everyone on the late

:13:30. > :13:31.team here in Glasgow
