:00:00. > :00:00.year running, all of the horses have returned home safely. That is all

:00:00. > :00:07.for now. I will be back for the news at

:00:08. > :00:13.Two fishermen have died and another is still missing after their boat

:00:14. > :00:16.sank near Mingulay in the Western Isles.

:00:17. > :00:18.A fourth man was rescued and taken to hospital in Stornoway.

:00:19. > :00:26.Shona MacDonald reports from South Uist.

:00:27. > :00:33.Just before 3:45am, that UK coastguard received a distress call

:00:34. > :00:40.from near Mingulay, an island south of Barra in the Western Isles. The

:00:41. > :00:45.search and rescue helicopter and the RNLI lifeboat attended. A fishing

:00:46. > :00:50.boat named locally as the Stornoway registered Louisa had sunk. One

:00:51. > :00:51.person was rescued and taken to hospital in Stornoway by the close

:00:52. > :01:00.guard helicopter. Two bodies were hospital in Stornoway by the close

:01:01. > :01:02.also recovered. As part of that operations, the Barra RNLI lifeboat

:01:03. > :01:08.was here today. It returns to operations, the Barra RNLI lifeboat

:01:09. > :01:13.Castlebay where it refuelled and went back to the search area. I

:01:14. > :01:14.understand that there were also a number of locally based fishing

:01:15. > :01:14.boats in the area. The Edinburgh schools partnership

:01:15. > :01:17.who manage the seventeen schools closed by Edinburgh city council due

:01:18. > :01:20.to safety concerns claim tonight the standard of construction carried

:01:21. > :01:23.out by the building contractor It's emerged that header ties

:01:24. > :01:41.were missing in some sections Back in January, the damage caused

:01:42. > :01:45.by Storm Gertrude to this Primary School in Edinburgh prompted a

:01:46. > :01:49.safety review. Cavity wall issues were found, here and in three other

:01:50. > :01:53.schools, and were under repair. Yesterday, with the wall appeared,

:01:54. > :01:57.another different construction problem was found. The council has

:01:58. > :01:59.decided to close all of the 17 schools built under the same

:02:00. > :02:02.decided to close all of the 17 public-private partnership

:02:03. > :02:10.initiative as a precaution, until they can be sure that they are safe.

:02:11. > :02:13.It is an additional issue, in identifying the construction fabrics

:02:14. > :02:18.in the buildings, and we have not been able to get an assurance that

:02:19. > :02:22.that does not apply to the other schools. I simply cannot take the

:02:23. > :02:26.risk as the council leader and a parent, to open these schools

:02:27. > :02:30.without that guarantee. The Edinburgh schools partnership which

:02:31. > :02:34.manages the schools says that they were working with those responsible

:02:35. > :02:35.for the design and build today to determine the scale of the problem.

:02:36. > :02:40.The construction company involved in determine the scale of the problem.

:02:41. > :02:45.all 17 school constructions is now owned by Gallup first try, who have

:02:46. > :02:49.pledged to remedy any issue but it is a worrying time for parents

:02:50. > :02:56.concerned about such disruption happening close to exam time. We are

:02:57. > :02:59.surprised about the timing, right at the end of these building

:03:00. > :03:03.inspections, and it would really help if the council could tell

:03:04. > :03:07.parents what it was they discovered that has prompted this response. Of

:03:08. > :03:09.course on a safety ground, we support them, provided they can put

:03:10. > :03:14.the arrangements in place for children that need them. After the

:03:15. > :03:17.structural problems found yesterday, all 17 schools are being surveyed

:03:18. > :03:21.this weekend but tonight the situation remains that all of these

:03:22. > :03:22.schools will be shut on Monday and the council had no idea when they

:03:23. > :03:26.will reopen. Politicians' transparency on tax

:03:27. > :03:34.dominated the debate on the Holyrood election trail,

:03:35. > :03:37.as Labour's UK leader Jeremy Corbyn Here's our political

:03:38. > :03:46.correspondent, Andrew Kerr. An old-fashioned Town Hall meeting

:03:47. > :03:51.for the UK Labour leader but calls for a new level of openness on

:03:52. > :03:54.politicians' tax affairs. The Scottish leader published her tax

:03:55. > :03:58.return today and called for other leaders to do the same. It comes as

:03:59. > :04:02.the Prime Minister promised to publish his past tax returns after

:04:03. > :04:08.being criticised for investing in an offshore fund. Above all, it is not

:04:09. > :04:12.about an individual or a one person, or one family. It is about a whole

:04:13. > :04:16.ethos, where the very rich are able to put their money into tax havens,

:04:17. > :04:22.offshore accounts, and were the result zero rate of tax. The SNP

:04:23. > :04:26.leader was not taking a cue from Labour but she has been critical of

:04:27. > :04:32.David Cameron. She says that Labour is all at sea on the issue of

:04:33. > :04:35.Trident. At a time where public services and finances are under so

:04:36. > :04:43.much pressure, it is in my view completely wrong to even contemplate

:04:44. > :04:46.spending 106 ?7 million on weapons of mass destruction. Back to the

:04:47. > :04:50.Prime Minister's tax issue. The Liberal Democrat leader calls for

:04:51. > :04:55.openness and he sealed a few envelopes. It is disappointing that

:04:56. > :05:00.it him so one to explain his tax affairs. We still do not have

:05:01. > :05:03.absolute transparency. Amid calls for more transparency on tax, the

:05:04. > :05:07.Conservative leader stepped in to defend the Prime Minister. Ruth

:05:08. > :05:11.Davidson was speaking to party members in Edinburgh. She took the

:05:12. > :05:14.chance to chide Labour, who she hopes to replace in the opposition

:05:15. > :05:18.spot. The Prime Minister has answered every question put to him.

:05:19. > :05:23.He had shares before he was premised and he has paid all of his taxes on

:05:24. > :05:30.those shares. Paid all of attacks again when he saw those shares. The

:05:31. > :05:31.Prime Minister has dominated this discussion. This has been another

:05:32. > :05:31.take on it. Football - and Celtic

:05:32. > :05:33.went eight points clear at the top of the Premiership

:05:34. > :05:36.with a win against Motherwell. Elsewhere Ross County

:05:37. > :05:38.secured their place in the top six Wins also for Caley Thistle,

:05:39. > :05:42.Kilmarnock and Hamilton. It's over to Anne Lundon now

:05:43. > :05:48.with the weather outlook Good evening. A variety of weather

:05:49. > :05:52.on offer today. Here is the earlier picture. A band of cloud and rain

:05:53. > :05:54.affecting many parts of the North during the course of the day.

:05:55. > :05:58.Elsewhere, a lot of fine and dry during the course of the day.

:05:59. > :06:03.weather to be had with some showers. Feeling chilly if you do get caught

:06:04. > :06:07.in one of those showers. And here is the picture for this evening. We

:06:08. > :06:11.hang onto this band of rain for the far north, and it will eventually

:06:12. > :06:13.spill southwards during the course of the night. Quite a dull and damp

:06:14. > :06:18.spill southwards during the course picture by dawn. Some dry conditions

:06:19. > :06:24.for Western, coastal parts and parts of the South West, icy badges could

:06:25. > :06:27.be a risk overnight. As we head into tomorrow, here is the pressure chart

:06:28. > :06:31.with the weather systems affecting the far north. This system, for part

:06:32. > :06:36.of the South West, will bring very the far north. This system, for part

:06:37. > :06:41.wet and windy conditions. We have a yellow Met Office be aware morning

:06:42. > :06:44.in force to cater for this wind and for coastal parts, flooding could be

:06:45. > :06:49.arrested. In between these weather systems, plenty of fine, dry

:06:50. > :06:52.weather, good spells of sunshine, and an improving pictured here in

:06:53. > :06:58.Scotland during the course of the day. Dark conditions moving

:06:59. > :06:59.northwards. By 4pm, we're looking at a decent afternoon. That rain in the

:07:00. > :07:02.North will linger for a time.
