:00:41. > :00:43.the council has closed until further notice, it has been a very

:00:44. > :00:47.stressful weekend trying to organise childcare.

:00:48. > :00:56.We have no understanding at all at this point as to how long

:00:57. > :01:00.The word indefinitely has been used on the website,

:01:01. > :01:06.It is not sustainable and it is quite difficult,

:01:07. > :01:09.especially coming in after the Easter break when we have

:01:10. > :01:12.Whether that will be unpaid leave or annual leave,

:01:13. > :01:20.The Edinburgh Schools Partnership, who manage the schools,

:01:21. > :01:23.have been in meetings all day today, since revealing yesterday that

:01:24. > :01:25.missing wall ties in St Peter's Primary and Oxgangs Primary have

:01:26. > :01:29.prompted the council to shut down all 17 schools built under the same

:01:30. > :01:38.In Oxgangs, these parents were doing their best

:01:39. > :01:40.to keep their Primary One daughter from worrying about what will now

:01:41. > :01:46.Oxgangs Primary was closed just before the holidays for remedial

:01:47. > :01:49.work on wall problems and it should have reopened tomorrow.

:01:50. > :01:55.We had an issue one, now it is an issue two,

:01:56. > :02:00.They have had all the Easter holidays, I don't know

:02:01. > :02:03.how they could just find out that one day.

:02:04. > :02:05.When the wall collapsed at this school in January, parents thought

:02:06. > :02:11.But as one said to me tonight, had it not happened,

:02:12. > :02:14.when would these further safety issues have come to light?

:03:34. > :03:38.so that everyone abides by the same rules.

:03:39. > :03:41.Not quite the Masters at Augusta, but the Liberal Democrat Leader

:03:42. > :03:44.in Kirkcaldy is keen to eye up the land on this issue

:03:45. > :03:50.Before we go any further we have to have a cold, calm look at this,

:03:51. > :03:54.to make sure that we are not creating barriers to politics that

:03:55. > :03:59.Therefore, perhaps outside of the election period,

:04:00. > :04:03.having a proper commission to look at these arrangements.

:04:04. > :04:06.Politician's dough has been the focus of the Labour Party

:04:07. > :04:11.Today they have gone further wanting strict tax rules for

:04:12. > :04:14.companies who were handed government contracts.

:04:15. > :04:16.If a company or an individual avoids tax, they should not be able

:04:17. > :04:23.And so a future Scottish Labour government would make sure that no

:04:24. > :04:26.public contract could be awarded to a company or individual

:04:27. > :04:30.if they have been found to be avoiding tax.

:04:31. > :04:32.Debates about tax affairs have dominated the agenda this weekend.

:04:33. > :04:37.There will be fresh political arguments this week

:04:38. > :04:39.as the main parties start to release their manifestos.
