:00:00. > :00:11.Health officials in the Glasgow area are warning people who inject

:00:12. > :00:14.drugs about an outbreak of HIV - after a five-fold

:00:15. > :00:19.On average, about ten new cases are diagnosed in the Greater Glasgow

:00:20. > :00:22.and Clyde area each year, as a result of drug injecting.

:00:23. > :00:25.The health board says last year there were nearly 50 cases.

:00:26. > :00:33.They're warning drug users not to share needles.

:00:34. > :00:37.We need to reiterate the dangers sharing needles and sharing other

:00:38. > :00:39.injecting paraphernalia, because sharing needles and sharing other

:00:40. > :00:44.it's not just needles, other things can carry the virus. Any increase

:00:45. > :00:48.has to be of great concern because if we don't tackle it when it had a

:00:49. > :00:51.very low-level, we know from other cities that it can rapidly increase.

:00:52. > :00:52.So even a small increase in numbers is worrying.

:00:53. > :00:54.There are just three weekends of campaigning before

:00:55. > :00:58.Today the main party leaders have been out in the streets,

:00:59. > :01:03.Our political correspondent Nick Eardley has been following them.

:01:04. > :01:14.Election turf wars. As the 5th of May approaches, to the streets with

:01:15. > :01:17.the campaigns. Fresh from launching the Scottish Lib Dem manifesto

:01:18. > :01:21.yesterday, it was pounding the pavements for the party's leader

:01:22. > :01:24.today. The real benefit of election campaigns is to get out on the

:01:25. > :01:28.streets and to listen to what people have got to say, to listen to their

:01:29. > :01:32.questions and try to come up with some answers. People are really

:01:33. > :01:37.hungry for Scotland where we improve things, where we get asked back to

:01:38. > :01:42.being the best again. Ruth Davidson was talking about her manifesto,

:01:43. > :01:46.too. The Scottish Conservatives leader was in Coric to explain her

:01:47. > :01:49.party's van Zyl Scottish Borders. We're asking the Scottish people to

:01:50. > :01:55.trust us with a very specific job of top I'd love to be First Minister on

:01:56. > :02:02.maybe six but if I'm not, I can do a job for people out there. Just 18

:02:03. > :02:06.days left now for the parties to make their arguments before the

:02:07. > :02:08.polls opened. Next week the SNP will launch their plans in their

:02:09. > :02:15.manifesto and the week after its labour's turn. No manifesto for now

:02:16. > :02:20.but Labour are keen to fly the flag for its key policies. We were the

:02:21. > :02:22.first party to publish our tax proposals. We've also led the debate

:02:23. > :02:26.in this party on closing the gap between the richest brisket in our

:02:27. > :02:29.schools. So so much of our policy platform is ready out there and

:02:30. > :02:36.people are already talking about it. I look forward to carrying on with

:02:37. > :02:40.that message. Nicola Sturgeon thinks campaigners are doing just fine. But

:02:41. > :02:45.will voters welcome her ideas with open arms? I think this week is the

:02:46. > :02:50.week we'll see the campaign really move up a gear. The SNP will publish

:02:51. > :02:54.our manifesto on Wednesday. It will be a manifesto for reform and

:02:55. > :02:58.transformation in our health service and education system, our economy.

:02:59. > :03:03.Very much a manifesto for the next generation. To add a half weeks

:03:04. > :03:09.until voters decide which pitch they support. -- two and a half weeks.

:03:10. > :03:11.Meanwhile, the UK cabinet minister Theresa Villiers claims there's real

:03:12. > :03:13.support in Scotland for the campaign to leave the EU.

:03:14. > :03:15.Addressing supporters in Glasgow, she said the country should continue

:03:16. > :03:18.to do business with Europe - but not be run by it.

:03:19. > :03:20.Remain campaigners say leaving the EU would harm

:03:21. > :03:25.The first of the Scottish Cup semifinals took place

:03:26. > :03:29.The Championship side Hibernian were up against the Premiership's

:03:30. > :03:42.It's those Hibernian supporters just trickling out of Hampden Stadium

:03:43. > :03:47.behind me who leave here the happier of the two sets of fans. Hibs were

:03:48. > :03:53.handed the ideal opportunity to go in front early on after a player

:03:54. > :03:58.handled in the area. Jason Cummings stepped up to take the penalty but

:03:59. > :04:02.his audacity went unrewarded, much to the anguish of all those in

:04:03. > :04:06.green. Hibernian handed a debut to the goalkeeper and he turned out to

:04:07. > :04:10.green. Hibernian handed a debut to be a real colossus. In the penalty

:04:11. > :04:18.shoot-out he made him suffer real hero, saving from two players. And

:04:19. > :04:22.so the stage was set for Jason Cummings to step up and score the

:04:23. > :04:26.winning penalty, giving the Hibernian players and fans who will

:04:27. > :04:30.be back here on the 23rd of May Scottish cup final. Tomorrow they

:04:31. > :04:33.will find out whether they play Rangers or Celtic in that final.

:04:34. > :04:36.Tennis, and Andy Murray is out of the Monte Carlo Masters,

:04:37. > :04:38.beaten in the semifinal by Rafa Nadal.

:04:39. > :04:41.But he lost the next two sets against Nadal,

:04:42. > :04:44.to make it seven wins for the Spaniard out of eight

:04:45. > :04:50.In rugby, Glasgow Warriors beat Scarlets 46-10 in Wales.

:04:51. > :04:54.A try by Henry Purrgoss just after half time secured a bonus

:04:55. > :04:57.point for the Warriors in their quest for a home semifinal

:04:58. > :05:04.Now it's over to Jennifer Bartram for the weather outlook

:05:05. > :05:14.Hello, good evening. It's going to be another cold and frosty night

:05:15. > :05:17.tonight with clear spells for many of us, although at first we do have

:05:18. > :05:21.some showers continuing along the Berwickshire coast. Through the

:05:22. > :05:25.night, widespread frost but for parts of the Northern and western

:05:26. > :05:29.isles, we're going to see cloud and outbreaks of rain pushing in for a

:05:30. > :05:32.time. If you're stepping out first thing on Sunday morning, this is the

:05:33. > :05:36.picture. Blue skies for many of us. It will be a bright but chilly

:05:37. > :05:40.start. For parts of North Argyll and the West Highlands, Orkney and

:05:41. > :05:43.Shetland, we have a lot more in the way of cloud. Some outbreaks of rain

:05:44. > :05:47.and it will be feeling a touch milder. For the UK as a whole on

:05:48. > :05:51.Sunday, it's looking like a decent day. It will be staying dry and will

:05:52. > :05:54.see plenty of spells of sunshine. The cloud is gradually going to sink

:05:55. > :05:58.southwards into parts of northern England through the afternoon. Two

:05:59. > :06:02.bridges a touch higher than today's values. As we had through Sunday

:06:03. > :06:05.night and on into Monday, we keep the cloud and be outbreaks of rain.

:06:06. > :06:10.It's going to be turning very windy, too. An area of low pressure just

:06:11. > :06:13.pass into the North of Scotland. You can see the squeeze on the isobars,

:06:14. > :06:17.indicating gale force winds for parts of the Northern Isles and as

:06:18. > :06:19.we had through Monday itself, a weather front bringing some

:06:20. > :06:23.outbreaks of rain, which is gradually going to move away

:06:24. > :06:27.southwards. Behind it, clearer skies with spells of sunshine and

:06:28. > :06:33.temperatures up to 11 Celsius, 52 Fahrenheit.

:06:34. > :06:36.From all of us here, have a very good evening.
