:00:00. > :00:00.Tonight, on Reporting Scotland:

:00:07. > :00:09.Nicola Sturgeon reshuffles her Cabinet -

:00:10. > :00:13.John Swinney goes to education and Derek Mackay

:00:14. > :00:17.One of the women accused of murdering Liam Fee accepts

:00:18. > :00:19.that she neglected the toddler by not seeking medical

:00:20. > :00:27.Unemployment rises in Scotland again - business groups say it

:00:28. > :00:32.should trigger an amber alert for the Government.

:00:33. > :00:34.The former Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, is the front runner

:00:35. > :00:36.to take over at Celtic, with the club's

:00:37. > :00:51.He's a great manager. He's proved that at Liverpool. I think he's a

:00:52. > :00:52.worthy candidate for Celtic. We'll have the latest

:00:53. > :00:54.from Celtic Park. Also on the programme,

:00:55. > :00:56.PE Bond-style - bringing the running, jumping,

:00:57. > :00:58.climbing sport of Parkour out Nicola Sturgeon has

:00:59. > :01:18.unveiled her new Cabinet, stressing that her main focus

:01:19. > :01:20.is to ensure a world-class To that end, the biggest change

:01:21. > :01:26.she's made is to move the Deputy First Minister,

:01:27. > :01:28.John Swinney, from His old job is split in two,

:01:29. > :01:35.with Keith Brown becoming Economy Secretary and Derek Mackay promoted

:01:36. > :01:37.to become Finance Secretary, to oversee the parliament's

:01:38. > :01:40.new tax powers. With more details, here's our

:01:41. > :01:58.political editor, Brian Taylor. With suitable solemnity the Lord

:01:59. > :02:02.President accompanied by 14 other judges administers the oaths of

:02:03. > :02:04.office to Nicola Sturgeon. She accepts

:02:05. > :02:12.power with the customary nod. Signing the parchments she becomes

:02:13. > :02:14.once more First Minister and keeper of the great seal of Scotland,

:02:15. > :02:26.symbol of authority. Lord noted her duties would be

:02:27. > :02:28.arduous. First duty, a Cabinet reshuffle at Bute House, her

:02:29. > :02:33.official residence. First to arrive her deputy, John

:02:34. > :02:35.Swinney. He moves from finance after nine years

:02:36. > :02:41.to take charge of education, Ms Sturgeon's top priority. It is the

:02:42. > :02:45.issue I want my Government and me as First Minister to be judged on.

:02:46. > :02:52.It underlines the importance I have to give him the responsibility to

:02:53. > :02:54.take forward the Government's agenda on that issue.

:02:55. > :02:58.John Swinney's finance remit is split, with Keith Brown taking

:02:59. > :03:07.charge of the economy, while newcomer Derek Mackay handles

:03:08. > :03:10.finance, including tax powers. As part of that Angela Constance will

:03:11. > :03:12.handle the new welfare powers. Getting his jacket on in readiness

:03:13. > :03:16.Fergus Ewing arrives to join cabinet for

:03:17. > :03:30.the first time. He moves from energy and the

:03:31. > :03:31.controversial topic of fracking to take charge of the

:03:32. > :03:38.pledge of universal broadband links. Three Cabinet Secretaries stay where

:03:39. > :03:42.they are. Shona Robson at health, Michael Matheson at justice and

:03:43. > :03:49.Fiona Hyslop at culture. But there are changes too. The

:03:50. > :03:54.Scottish Government has ambitious targets to tackle climate change,

:03:55. > :03:55.but has failed to meet them. That topic is

:03:56. > :04:04.of the rural affairs department, where it was felt it was swamped.

:04:05. > :04:07.Roseanna Cunningham takes charge as part of her environment brief.

:04:08. > :04:16.Richard Delays over farm payments brought

:04:17. > :04:20.criticism but his wants to focus on his children and his wife, who has

:04:21. > :04:24.breast cancer. These things put life into perspective. I think after nine

:04:25. > :04:26.years I want to take a back seat from Government. Also standing down

:04:27. > :04:34.Alex Neil from social justice. The new team still ten in Cabinet,

:04:35. > :04:37.still gender balanced, but with new remits for six Ministers to match

:04:38. > :04:47.new priorities. Brian How do you assess today's reshuffle?

:04:48. > :04:53.It is an intriguing thing at Holyrood. The opposition leaders are

:04:54. > :04:57.wishing their personal best to the new incumbents, but stressing they

:04:58. > :05:00.will be judged by results. In the case of John Swinney that is

:05:01. > :05:07.literally true. The task he has been set is to close the so-called

:05:08. > :05:11.attainment gap, school performance, the gap between those from richer

:05:12. > :05:15.backgrounds and those from poorer backgrounds. He will be judged by

:05:16. > :05:20.that result. Nicola Sturgeon says she wants her Government to be

:05:21. > :05:23.judged on that. Ays she wants her Government to be judged on that.

:05:24. > :05:25.Junior Ministers - four new names coming in for the first time. Mark

:05:26. > :05:28.McDonald, Kevin Stuart and Shirley-Anne

:05:29. > :05:32.Somerville. Jean Freeman, no strange er to Government. She was a special

:05:33. > :05:34.adviser to Jack McConnell as the Labour First Minister. Brian, thank

:05:35. > :05:39.you. As we've heard, the Queen has set

:05:40. > :05:41.out the UK Government's But just over half of the bills

:05:42. > :05:45.actually apply to Scotland and critics have dubbed it

:05:46. > :05:47.a "wasted opportunity". Here's our Westminster

:05:48. > :05:58.correspondent, Nick Eardley. day of pomp and ceremony at

:05:59. > :06:00.Westminster. The Queen on her way to the House of Lords to set our

:06:01. > :06:07.Government's plans for the next 12 months. My Government will continue

:06:08. > :06:09.to work in co-operation with the devolved administrations to

:06:10. > :06:14.implement the extensive new powers in the Scotland Act. But how much of

:06:15. > :06:20.the speech is aliberalable north of the border? The Scotland Office says

:06:21. > :06:23.13 the 21 bills apply to Scotland at least in part. That includes areas

:06:24. > :06:27.like a crackdown on corruption, and extending high-speed broadband.

:06:28. > :06:29.There was support for Audit Commission spaceport, with four

:06:30. > :06:34.Scottish sites in the running. But other announcements like those on

:06:35. > :06:35.prison reform and education don't apply.

:06:36. > :06:41.The UK Government says that's a national consequence of more powers

:06:42. > :06:43.being devolved. In the last session we passioned the Scotland Act, which

:06:44. > :06:50.will make the Scottish Parliament one of the most powerful Parliaments

:06:51. > :06:52.anywhere in the world. The real task now for the UK Government is to

:06:53. > :06:57.work with the Scottish Government to make sure that that Act is

:06:58. > :07:02.implemented. The Queen's Speech has said a lot of things they've said

:07:03. > :07:06.before. They are talking about public finances, they've failed to

:07:07. > :07:09.get the debt down and under control. There's a lot in the Queen's Speech

:07:10. > :07:10.get the debt down and under control. which isn't relevant to Scotland

:07:11. > :07:14.because of the devolved powers. A bit of a

:07:15. > :07:23.damp squib all round really. The SNP set out its alternative programme.

:07:24. > :07:24.It's Westminster leader thinks the speech should have offered more for

:07:25. > :07:31.Scotland. This Queen's Speech have nothing to do with Scotland. It

:07:32. > :07:33.is a missed opportunity to make changes, changes

:07:34. > :07:38.to austerity, to boost growth. Boost growth. Exports, the economy - these

:07:39. > :07:41.would have been good things, things the SNP proposed but unfortunately

:07:42. > :07:41.the Tories aren't going to legislate on.

:07:42. > :07:48.It is not long after the Queen's Speech that Westminster returns to

:07:49. > :07:48.the business of politics. Over the next 12

:07:49. > :07:52.many of the issues discussed here will be of importance to Scotland.

:07:53. > :07:56.But as Holyrood gets more powers And Nick joins me now

:07:57. > :08:03.from Westminster, where a Tory MSP has written to the standards

:08:04. > :08:05.watchdog there, calling for an investigation

:08:06. > :08:22.into the expenses of two SNP Hosie, had relationships with a

:08:23. > :08:25.female journalist. It's claimed that the journalist spent time in a

:08:26. > :08:25.hotel, which Mr McNeill had claimed under

:08:26. > :08:33.MPs' expenses. Under the rules here, MPs are

:08:34. > :08:36.perfectly entitled to claim for overnight accommodation, up to ?150

:08:37. > :08:43.per night. There is no requirement for them to say who they were with.

:08:44. > :08:45.But the Deputy Leader of the Scottish Conservative Party has

:08:46. > :08:50.written to the Standards Commissioner saying that she should

:08:51. > :08:54.look into these claims. He has also raised questions over Mr Hosie and

:08:55. > :08:55.whether or not the woman spent time in accommodation funded

:08:56. > :09:00.by the taxpayer with him. Tonight Mr McNeill issued a statement to the

:09:01. > :09:05.BBC saying that all his expenses were

:09:06. > :09:09.compliant with the rules. The SNP have also issued a pretty robust

:09:10. > :09:10.statement, saying that the Conservatives are praying politics

:09:11. > :09:12.with what are personal issues. One of the women accused

:09:13. > :09:18.of murdering toddler Liam Fee has told a court that she never

:09:19. > :09:23.assaulted the child and was in complete shock

:09:24. > :09:26.when she realised he had died. But Nyomi Fee accepted that she'd

:09:27. > :09:28.neglected him by not seeking medical Joanne Macaulay reports now

:09:29. > :09:49.from the High Court in Livingston. of evidence from Nyomi Fee, seen

:09:50. > :09:51.here on the right with partner and co accused Rachel Fee.

:09:52. > :09:58.She herd screaming in his bedroom and when she went to investigate

:09:59. > :10:05.another child said he had been standing on the toddler's leg and

:10:06. > :10:06.had thrown him across the room. She said the boy

:10:07. > :10:11.had his hands over Liam's mouth. The court heard

:10:12. > :10:18.that Nyomi Fee had searched on the internet for advice on broken legs

:10:19. > :10:21.and hips and she and Liam's mother had not taken the child to hospital

:10:22. > :10:23.to seek medical attention. She was asked if

:10:24. > :10:26.she agreed that would make her guilty of neglect.

:10:27. > :10:32.She said yes. The prosecutor put it to her,

:10:33. > :10:37.he was an in excruciating pain and you knew there was a risk of death

:10:38. > :10:43.and you failed to get help. She replied, yes, that's right. He

:10:44. > :10:49.said, you didn't care if you lived or died? She said, yes, di. He said,

:10:50. > :10:52.but if you had cared, would have taken him to hospital.

:10:53. > :10:59.Earlier Nyomi Fee's defence counsel asked about the day Liam died. She

:11:00. > :11:05.said she found him looking white and lifeless but she denied there was

:11:06. > :12:01.any delay in dialling 999. Mr Stuart asked:

:12:02. > :12:03.You're watching Reporting Scotland from the BBC.

:12:04. > :12:05.Still to come on tonight's programme: The fishing boat

:12:06. > :12:08.which sank with the loss of three lives is brought to Clydebank

:12:09. > :12:22.There's been another rise in unemployment in Scotland,

:12:23. > :12:24.with the Federation of Small Businesses describing it

:12:25. > :12:26.as an "unsettling" development which should trigger an amber

:12:27. > :12:29.Our business and economy editor, Douglas Fraser, is here

:12:30. > :12:49.But in Scotland, 53,000 fewer than the end of last year.

:12:50. > :12:51.They weren't all becoming unemployed.

:12:52. > :12:54.The big growth was in the number of Scots counted as not

:12:55. > :12:58.But there was a small rise in unemployment,

:12:59. > :13:01.up 8,000 in Scotland, a drop of 6,000 across the rest of the UK.

:13:02. > :13:05.The unemployment rate used to be close, it doesn't look that way now.

:13:06. > :13:08.It's higher only in north-east England.

:13:09. > :13:13.The downturn in oil and gas is a big factor affecting Scotland

:13:14. > :13:23.Redundancies have led to new beginnings, as Kevin Keane reports.

:13:24. > :13:30.Just dive in. The shifting sands of business world can produce some

:13:31. > :13:33.Just dive in. The shifting sands of astonishing outcomes. While tens of

:13:34. > :13:37.thousands are losing their jobs, entrepreneurs are cashing in on

:13:38. > :13:43.ideas like this 3D mapping in a sandpit. It allows for talk to be

:13:44. > :13:46.transferred... Tristan is a former then near who's developed this new

:13:47. > :13:50.tool to speed up the process for drilling wells. He says the downturn

:13:51. > :13:54.meant he was pushing on an open door. Drilling operators have that

:13:55. > :13:58.opportunity to take innovation and try alternative techniques which

:13:59. > :14:04.wouldn't necessarily have been so easy to have justified at $115 a

:14:05. > :14:08.barrel. When the operation could easily be provided at a profitable

:14:09. > :14:14.without needing alternative tech niece. At this social enterprise,

:14:15. > :14:19.they helped over 1200 people get their business ideas off the ground

:14:20. > :14:24.last year. 6% South help because they were facing redundancy. Here,

:14:25. > :14:32.they believe it is a bigger change driving entrepreneurs. Scotland is

:14:33. > :14:37.becoming better an introducing the concept of enTRONureship at an

:14:38. > :14:40.earlier stage. We, as an organisation, have been engaging

:14:41. > :14:44.particularly over the last five years, with schools, the local

:14:45. > :14:49.college, universities. From small ideas flow big creations.

:14:50. > :14:52.Supportingent menures is seen as vital for developing future

:14:53. > :14:55.Supportingent menures is seen as business, supporting entrepreneurs.

:14:56. > :14:58.is confidence for business investment and among consumers.

:14:59. > :15:03.Shop sales last month down more than 3% on April last year.

:15:04. > :15:05.and grocery sales were down less than 2%.

:15:06. > :15:10.A chillier April was partly to blame.

:15:11. > :15:12.According to retailers, fashion and footwear have been 'feeble' -

:15:13. > :15:29.An 18-year-old has appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court,

:15:30. > :15:32.after the death of a nurse, who was knocked down in the city.

:15:33. > :15:34.Dylan Jenkin was charged with causing death by dangerous

:15:35. > :15:36.driving, and failing to stop when signalled by police.

:15:37. > :15:40.and the case was continued for further inquiry.

:15:41. > :15:43.33-year-old Jill Pirrie was walking home from work at the Edinburgh

:15:44. > :16:10.Royal Infirmary last Thursday evening when she was killed.

:16:11. > :16:17.The fishing boat which sank off the Western Isles last month

:16:18. > :16:22.Investigators have taken the unusual move to raise her from the sea. Then

:16:23. > :16:27.followed a journey by barge, taking two days to bring the boat from the

:16:28. > :16:33.western isles to a quiet boat yard on the Clyde. The boat was at anchor

:16:34. > :16:36.in benign weather conditions when in the early hours of the morning the

:16:37. > :16:43.crew woke to find her taking on water and was forced to abandon

:16:44. > :16:48.ship. The 29-year-old, Martin Johnson, and Chris Morris son from

:16:49. > :16:52.Stornoway day. Lachlan Armstrong managed to swim the 250 metres to

:16:53. > :16:54.shore. He has spoken of the life raft failing to inflate and their

:16:55. > :17:07.attempts to make it float. Searches for the skipper were still

:17:08. > :17:12.taking place. Rescue and research teams combing the area. He's press

:17:13. > :17:15.#50u78ed dead. We have a dive survey before everything's touched. Every

:17:16. > :17:19.hatch and door will be documented whether it's open or closed. We'll

:17:20. > :17:25.have a reflection of that on the bottom. After that initial survey

:17:26. > :17:28.undertaken by divers, the crab catch has to be cleared and then

:17:29. > :17:32.investigators can get to work. The areas we look at once we're able to

:17:33. > :17:35.access the vessel will be the material state of the vessel, the

:17:36. > :17:39.condition of the pipework, the condition of the hull, the interior

:17:40. > :17:43.of the vessel and also the life raft and things which may have saved the

:17:44. > :17:49.fishermen's lives when they had to abandon the vessel. The boat sank in

:17:50. > :17:53.just 15 metres of water and was reasonably close to land. This is a

:17:54. > :17:57.tragedy which poses many questions. Inspectors hope to be able to get on

:17:58. > :18:00.board the boat within the next couple of days. Their initial

:18:01. > :18:05.examinations should takes in the middle of next week. After that,

:18:06. > :18:09.parts of the vessel could be removed for forensic examination. It will be

:18:10. > :18:11.into the start of next year, however, before their report will be

:18:12. > :18:14.ready and released. Let's get the latest

:18:15. > :18:17.sport now with David. Celtic hope to decide who they want

:18:18. > :18:21.as their new manager within a couple of days according to the club's

:18:22. > :18:25.major shareholder Dermot Desmond. He's told the BBC, over half a dozen

:18:26. > :18:34.people have been interviewed. But, tonight, there appears to be

:18:35. > :18:36.a clear front-runner. Our Senior Football Reporter Chris

:18:37. > :18:48.McLaughlin is at Celtic Park. A big name emerging? Yeah, tonight,

:18:49. > :18:52.David, everything points towards Brendan Rodgers, the former Swansea

:18:53. > :18:59.and Liverpool manager has been a name in the frame for this job for

:19:00. > :19:02.some time. We understand he held talks with representatives from

:19:03. > :19:06.Celtic yesterday. Lengthy negotiations for the second time. We

:19:07. > :19:12.understand he has an obvious track record. Led Swansea from the English

:19:13. > :19:16.championship to the Premiership. Finished second with Liverpool two

:19:17. > :19:20.years ago. Let's hear from the man who will ultimately make the

:19:21. > :19:26.decision. I wouldn't speculate on who's the person at that point in

:19:27. > :19:29.time. All the people we've interviewed merit the job. How many

:19:30. > :19:35.has the club interviewed at the moment? In excess of six. And

:19:36. > :19:43.Brendan Rodgers one of those managers? I can't tell a lie! Give

:19:44. > :19:48.us your thoughts of him as a manager, what he did at Liverpool

:19:49. > :19:54.and Swansea football club? He's a great manager. Proved that at

:19:55. > :20:00.Liverpool. I think that he's a worthy candidate for Celtic as all

:20:01. > :20:05.the other candidates are. David, it's worth pointing out before

:20:06. > :20:11.Dermot Desmond spoke today, Celtic released a statement saying they'd

:20:12. > :20:16.no preferred candidate as yet. They were working through a long list. As

:20:17. > :20:17.it stands, everything points towards Brendan Rodgers. Thank you very

:20:18. > :20:19.much. A decision on whether women

:20:20. > :20:21.golfers are to be admitted as members at Muirfield

:20:22. > :20:24.will be announced tomorrow. The East Lothian course

:20:25. > :20:27.is on the Open championship circuit, most recently hosting

:20:28. > :20:29.the event in 2013. A two thirds majority is required

:20:30. > :20:32.for the change to take place. Muirfield and Royal Troon

:20:33. > :20:36.are the only venues with male-only membership policies

:20:37. > :20:41.to regularly host the Open. The Glasgow Warriors head coach

:20:42. > :20:44.Gregor Townsend believes his team are good enough and mentally tough

:20:45. > :20:49.enough to reach the final of this The defending champions finished

:20:50. > :20:54.third in this season's league meaning they must win a tough away

:20:55. > :21:06.tie to have the chance Murrayfield, the home of Scottish

:21:07. > :21:11.rugby. This season, the venue for the final of the pro-12 league. To

:21:12. > :21:15.reach it, the only Scottish team in the play-offs will have to do what

:21:16. > :21:22.no other team's managed in the history of the competition. And that

:21:23. > :21:25.is to win an away semi-final. COMMENTATOR: Glasgow, the ball is

:21:26. > :21:34.broken. Here they are looking for the winner. They've got it. As if

:21:35. > :21:37.the burden of history isn't enough, Glasgow's opponents, Connacht,

:21:38. > :21:44.haven't lost at home since accept. They play with a lot of passionate

:21:45. > :21:48.home. The atmosphere is similar to gas glow. Really noisy. Tough for

:21:49. > :21:53.referees. It is important the referee on the day is strong and not

:21:54. > :21:58.influence by crowd noise. Our players stay strong as well. If

:21:59. > :22:02.decisions go against us, we keep focussed. I have cupeling belief in

:22:03. > :22:08.this group of players we can come back with a win. The Warriors didn't

:22:09. > :22:15.manage that a week-and-a-half ago. Connacht beating them in the regular

:22:16. > :22:22.season. There's no no doubt it is pretty magical at the sports ground.

:22:23. > :22:26.But it's the one-off gapes now. We know they'll come back stronger. We

:22:27. > :22:31.have to prepare so we can give it our best shot. We know how hard it

:22:32. > :22:35.will be. It's a huge challenge to go over there. Also a great occasion

:22:36. > :22:41.and opportunity. The Glasgow captain's had the opportunity to

:22:42. > :22:47.psych out his opposite number from Connacht and vice versa. Now they're

:22:48. > :22:49.taking it though, both having eyes only for the pro-12 trophy. That's

:22:50. > :22:51.tonight's sport. A school in Aberdeen says the

:22:52. > :22:54.introduction of Parkour into the curriculum is improving the

:22:55. > :22:58.confidence and fitness of pupils. The extreme sport, which is also

:22:59. > :23:01.known as "free running", has grown in popularity

:23:02. > :23:04.since it was featured in films And it's making its way from

:23:05. > :23:09.the street into the school yard. Fiona Stalker's been to find out

:23:10. > :23:22.what the buzz is about. This is PE Bond-style. All about

:23:23. > :23:27.movement of the body, going over objects rather than round them.

:23:28. > :23:33.Pushing boundaries. Land hand strong and roll to the side. Parkour is now

:23:34. > :23:38.part of the curriculum here at the Northfield Academy. Pupils have

:23:39. > :23:43.grabbed it with both hands. It is great for their fitness. Their

:23:44. > :23:47.fitness's has developed, strength, cardiofitness. The things which keep

:23:48. > :23:51.them coming back is enjoyment. It is a change for them. They're used to

:23:52. > :23:55.being told don't climb up there, you'll hurt yourself doing that.

:23:56. > :24:01.They've been taught how to do it safely. Built from a basic level.

:24:02. > :24:05.Now it is a case of encouraging them, try that, see if you can get

:24:06. > :24:12.to the top of that. This climbing, jumping and running sport began in

:24:13. > :24:14.France notice 1980s. It is now bursting through school gates,

:24:15. > :24:18.flying into the playground and in gym halls. Parkour Scotland, the

:24:19. > :24:22.organisation which promotes the sport say there's been a big

:24:23. > :24:26.increase in participation in the last couple of years. The recent

:24:27. > :24:30.uptake of parkour in schools is hugely welcome. Introducing the

:24:31. > :24:37.sport to a whole new audience and they can't get enough. It's really

:24:38. > :24:40.cool. It is a bill different from football and basketball, badminton

:24:41. > :24:46.and netball. You get a rush. You don't know what's going to happen

:24:47. > :24:52.next. You hope for the best, really. I've always admired parkourists.

:24:53. > :24:56.Jumping across roofs, jumping off buildings. It's really scary but,

:24:57. > :25:01.yet, you really do enjoy the thrill afterwards. And with every pupil in

:25:02. > :25:03.the school now getting the chance to experience that thrill, parkour is

:25:04. > :25:08.here to stay. Now just before the weather

:25:09. > :25:18.forecast, here's Shelley, Tonight, as Nicola Sturgeon puts her

:25:19. > :25:22.most experienced minister in charge of education, we're looking at the

:25:23. > :25:27.winners and losers in her Cabinet reshuffle. And, just how relevant is

:25:28. > :25:33.the Queen's Speech these days with so many powers devolved to Holyrood?

:25:34. > :25:38.Join me on BBC Two at 10.30pm. Now the forecast. Thank you. Good

:25:39. > :25:42.evening. Some brighter weather out at the moment. We've seen quite

:25:43. > :25:46.heavy downpours so far this afternoon and evening. Those showers

:25:47. > :25:51.will fade. Around those showers we had brighter spells. This lovely

:25:52. > :25:55.picture from Edinburgh where temperatures reached 17 Celsius

:25:56. > :26:00.today. Today tonight the showers will fade. Staying cloudy. We'll see

:26:01. > :26:04.misty, murky conditions developing. Where we have one or two showers

:26:05. > :26:09.they could be heavy. Fading. Largely dry conditions. Across central and

:26:10. > :26:14.eastern hills, misty, murky conditions. Along the east coast an

:26:15. > :26:19.extensive Hawe developing too. Damp tours 6-8 Celsius. A cloudy dull

:26:20. > :26:23.start to the day tomorrow. There is an area of low pressure bringing

:26:24. > :26:28.heavy outbreaks of rain at times spreading west to east through the

:26:29. > :26:31.day. It pushes to western coastal fringes by morning. Kin tire, up to

:26:32. > :26:38.the Western Isles with fresher winds. Staying drier for longer

:26:39. > :26:42.further towards the east. The rain reaching Aberdeen and the borders

:26:43. > :26:47.later tomorrow afternoon. Cloudy and wet especially across the

:26:48. > :26:54.south-west. A few heavy bursts for Galloway, Argyll. Towards the east,

:26:55. > :26:59.missy and murky over those hills. Temperatures 11-15 Celsius at best.

:27:00. > :27:04.Shetland looks to be fairing best with sunnier spells but cold. 7 or 8

:27:05. > :27:08.Celsius drawing colder air off the sea. This rainband will clear

:27:09. > :27:12.further eastwards in the evening. Some brighter spells but also a few

:27:13. > :27:17.scattered heavy showers later into the evening. Boo I Friday, rain

:27:18. > :27:20.clearing through. Friday's a mixture of sunny spells and scattered heavy

:27:21. > :27:26.showers. Maybe even the odd rumble of thunder. Temperatures 14-16

:27:27. > :27:31.Celsius. By the afternoon, the cloud thickens across the south-west, we

:27:32. > :27:35.have the next area of low appreciate purchase ire on Friday night. With

:27:36. > :27:40.it, outbreaks of rain. For the weekend, looking rather unsettled.

:27:41. > :27:44.That's the forecast. A reminder of tonight's main news: The Scottish

:27:45. > :27:49.Cabinet has a new look after a reshuffle by the First Minister

:27:50. > :27:55.Nicola Sturgeon. John Swinney moves to take charge of education leaving

:27:56. > :27:59.behind the finance role he's occupied for the past five years.

:28:00. > :28:02.That's it from us. From everyone here right across the country, have

:28:03. > :28:06.a very good evening.
