:01:46. > :01:47.A former First Minister revealed today he could now

:01:48. > :01:50.He said the EU referendum was a tipping point.

:01:51. > :01:54.We're not ready for independence, even if that was a reality.

:01:55. > :01:58.We have nation-building to do, issues about

:01:59. > :02:10.when you have a minority voting for one thing,

:02:11. > :02:12.you divide the nation, you create bitterness.

:02:24. > :02:26.The First Minister is calling on the UK government to give

:02:27. > :02:29.an immediate guarantee on the status of European Union citizens living

:02:30. > :02:31.in Scotland in the wake of the Brexit vote.

:02:32. > :02:34.Nicola Sturgeon's demand comes in a letter to the Prime Minister,

:02:35. > :02:37.and the five candidates for his post.

:02:38. > :02:39.Mr Cameron's already moved to reassure European

:02:40. > :02:41.citizens living in the UK that there won't be

:02:42. > :02:45.But Nicola Sturgeon says a stronger assertion

:02:46. > :02:52.The SNP Westminster leader and MP for Moray, Angus Robertson,

:02:53. > :02:56.has confirmed he is standing for the party's deputy leadership.

:04:07. > :04:12.It has been another showery day across Scotland. Tonight the showers

:04:13. > :04:16.will fade from most areas and will will be dry with just a few showers

:04:17. > :04:21.in the north and west in coastal areas. Tomorrow has a lot of dry and

:04:22. > :04:27.bright weather with some sunshine. However, through the course of the

:04:28. > :04:31.day we have a north- south split. " Increase across southern and central

:04:32. > :04:36.Scotland followed by persistent and at times heavier outbreaks of rain,

:04:37. > :04:40.reaching Argyll, the Glasgow area and perhaps Fife by tomorrow

:04:41. > :04:42.afternoon. North of year there is a lot of dry and bright weather with

:04:43. > :04:48.spells of sunshine and just a scattering of heavy showers. In the

:04:49. > :04:53.sunshine in the Northeast temperatures will peak around 16-17,

:04:54. > :04:54.otherwise 14-15 with mostly light winds.
