:00:00. > :00:12.the 11th Grand Slam final of his career, as he bids
:00:13. > :00:25.We will bring you up to speed with how he is faring against Tomas
:00:26. > :00:27.Berdych in his semifinal, and we will talk to a former British number
:00:28. > :00:31.one. Also on the programme: Two teenagers
:00:32. > :00:32.die in separate incidents at T
:00:33. > :00:34.in the Park. Police say they're investigating
:00:35. > :00:37.whether the deaths are drug related. A cancer patient is given twice
:00:38. > :00:39.the intended dose of radiation A report says it exposed her to
:00:40. > :00:43.a real possibility of serious harm. Scottish farmers meet
:00:44. > :00:45.the Deputy First Minister and warn of a difficult future when the UK
:00:46. > :00:48.leaves the European Union. And in golf we're live
:00:49. > :00:51.at the Scottish Open where Richie Ramsey is the leading
:00:52. > :00:54.Scot on the second day Andy Murray is on centre
:00:55. > :01:15.court at Wimbledon, where he's facing
:01:16. > :01:16.the Czech Tomas Berdych He has just won the second set and
:01:17. > :01:28.is leading by two sets to love. Jane Lewis is at Wimbledon
:01:29. > :01:39.and joins us now. Things are looking good for Andy
:01:40. > :01:43.Murray on Centre Court. He and Thomas Berdych are battling it out
:01:44. > :01:48.in their semifinal. On Henman Hill, the fans are lapping it up. Andy
:01:49. > :01:53.Murray is the world number two, looking to make his third Wimbledon
:01:54. > :01:54.final. Let's hear how the match is shaping up. Here is Chris
:01:55. > :02:05.MacLachlan. He knows it, and Centre Court knows
:02:06. > :02:09.it. Andy Murray is edging closer to another Wimbledon title. His
:02:10. > :02:15.previous battles with Berdych have been physical and verbal. Just ask
:02:16. > :02:20.his wife, who once famously launched a volley of her own at the world
:02:21. > :02:23.number nine. But past forgotten, it was down to business, and with
:02:24. > :02:35.tennis like this, the favourite was first to break. Any notion of an
:02:36. > :02:45.easy first set was put to the side when the Czech player broke straight
:02:46. > :02:50.back. Plenty to ponder for team Murray. But like so often in this
:02:51. > :02:58.tournament, the Scot held his nerve, held his opponent at bay, and took
:02:59. > :03:04.the first set. If Berdych does not make the final, he could yet claim
:03:05. > :03:12.one title. That was a contender for Miss of the year. And from the
:03:13. > :03:36.ridiculous to the sublime. And now firmly in control, the
:03:37. > :03:42.second set soon followed. Yes, Andy Murray looking in good
:03:43. > :03:47.shape, as Chris said. In the third set, things are looking good. He has
:03:48. > :03:53.just taken the third game and he leads to- one in the third set. If
:03:54. > :03:56.he was to progress, he would play Canada's Milos Raonic, who was in
:03:57. > :04:03.sensational form against the seven times champion, Roger Federer in a
:04:04. > :04:08.thrilling, epic semifinal. The Canadian player has never been to a
:04:09. > :04:12.Wimbledon final before. Boy, how he deserved it today. A five set
:04:13. > :04:17.thriller and victory over the seven times Wimbledon champ. While we wait
:04:18. > :04:21.to see whether Andy Murray makes it to a Wimbledon final, great news for
:04:22. > :04:25.another Scottish tennis player today. Not one but two finals for
:04:26. > :04:29.the wheelchair tennis sensation Gordon Greer, who has made it
:04:30. > :04:32.through to the singles and the doubles. He is having a good they
:04:33. > :04:40.are the office, as they say. I caught up with him. I don't think I
:04:41. > :04:44.felt any pressure. I felt a lot of support, a lot of people backing me
:04:45. > :04:48.out there. My own squad and all the other British members of the public
:04:49. > :04:53.as well. I tried to enjoy it and make the most of the moment. Great
:04:54. > :04:58.news for Gordon Reid, through to two finals this weekend. We wait to see
:04:59. > :05:02.whether Andy Murray will join him in the men's singles final on Sunday.
:05:03. > :05:03.It is looking good but join me later in the programme for a further
:05:04. > :05:06.update. Police are investigating the deaths
:05:07. > :05:08.of two teenagers at Scotland's Officers say the separate
:05:09. > :05:11.incidents at T in the Park in Strathallan Castle in Perthshire,
:05:12. > :05:27.may be drug related. John McManus reports.
:05:28. > :05:31.The morning after the first night of T In The Park. What those waking up
:05:32. > :05:36.to not realise is that there have been two separate deaths reported at
:05:37. > :05:41.the festival. Elysee a 17-year-old male from the west of Scotland and a
:05:42. > :05:45.17-year-old female from the North of England have died in circumstances
:05:46. > :05:49.not thought to be suspicious. We are keeping an open mind but one line of
:05:50. > :05:56.enquiry is that drugs may have been involved in the deaths. We reiterate
:05:57. > :06:00.once again the policy of Police Scotland and the event organisers
:06:01. > :06:03.that there is no safe way to take drugs. The medical team responded
:06:04. > :06:07.quickly and worked hard to save these young people but they could
:06:08. > :06:13.not, and our sympathy really has to be with the family and friends that
:06:14. > :06:18.are here with them. This is supposed to be a weekend of
:06:19. > :06:23.music with your mates, but as the news spread, it cast a shadow over
:06:24. > :06:28.evidence. Pretty tragic. You come to a festival to enjoy yourself. You
:06:29. > :06:33.come with your friends, wanting to have a good time. It is horrible,
:06:34. > :06:37.hearing about people dying. They could be your friends. We all got a
:06:38. > :06:44.bit of a fright and started ringing home saying, we are all right. Sad
:06:45. > :06:49.for them, but it is sad. The death of any teenager is tragic but when
:06:50. > :06:57.it happens at an event like this, it seems especially Krul.
:06:58. > :07:11.John McManus is live for us now at T In The Park. What can you tell us?
:07:12. > :07:15.John, can you hear me? No, I don't think he can. Apologies, I don't
:07:16. > :07:18.think John can hear us. We are having sound problems tonight.
:07:19. > :07:21.The Scottish Government says it has "well developed" plans to cope
:07:22. > :07:24.with a series of rail strikes that clash with major summer events.
:07:25. > :07:26.The Transport Minister Humza Yousaf chaired a meeting of
:07:27. > :07:28.the Government's resilience committee, ahead of planned strikes
:07:29. > :07:30.that will affect those travelling to T in the Park,
:07:31. > :07:41.Lisa Summers reports from Haymarket Station.
:07:42. > :07:51.Sally, this is all about driver - only operated trains. The unions say
:07:52. > :07:55.they are concerned in terms of safety, if the guards or conductors,
:07:56. > :08:00.the role of guards and conductors is phased out on trains. But Scot rail
:08:01. > :08:05.say they will always scheduled two people to run on a train. Talks
:08:06. > :08:11.broke down on Wednesday mean in that strike action will continue over the
:08:12. > :08:14.weekend and into next week. In terms of disruption, obviously we have
:08:15. > :08:17.tens of thousands of people travelling to the open at Royal
:08:18. > :08:22.Troon next week, and 80,000 fans trying to get back from T In The
:08:23. > :08:26.Park on Sunday and Monday. The Scottish Government held a meeting
:08:27. > :08:30.of its resilience committee and this is what the transport minister said.
:08:31. > :08:36.ScotRail have not put forward their plans and proposals for the driver
:08:37. > :08:39.controlled operated trains. I think the RMT should wait for those
:08:40. > :08:44.proposals and then decide whether or not to take action. My call is for
:08:45. > :08:47.them to suspend the strikes, get round the table, speak to ScotRail
:08:48. > :08:54.and come to a solution where the passenger is not further disrupted.
:08:55. > :08:58.So, if you are planning to get home from T In The Park, organisers say
:08:59. > :09:02.that the bus is the best option. You can get on a train but there will be
:09:03. > :09:07.a reduced timetable in places, so expect delays. If you are heading to
:09:08. > :09:11.the open, ScotRail say they have an enhanced service to Royal Troon, but
:09:12. > :09:15.you have to get there. There are also going to be delays, and some
:09:16. > :09:21.services cancelled. So a reminder of the strike days. Sunday, Monday,
:09:22. > :09:23.Thursday of next week, and next Saturday and Sunday.
:09:24. > :09:26.A cancer patient in Edinburgh has been given an accidental
:09:27. > :09:27.overdose of radiation, double the dose she
:09:28. > :09:30.The patient was being given palliative radiotherapy
:09:31. > :09:32.at the Western General Hospital last September.
:09:33. > :09:34.Our Health Correspondent, Eleanor Bradford, is here.
:09:35. > :09:49.Well, this, Sally, will probably remind people of the tragic case of
:09:50. > :09:54.Lisa Norris, who was given an overdose in 2006, ten years ago. She
:09:55. > :10:00.endured terrible suffering before her death. The overdose to this
:10:01. > :10:04.patient was even higher than that, but in other ways the circumstances
:10:05. > :10:09.were different. The Lisa Norris case happened because of faults in the
:10:10. > :10:14.system, and in the wake of that case, lots of changes were brought
:10:15. > :10:18.in to make the system safer. In this case, individuals got the sums
:10:19. > :10:22.wrong. Several individuals all got the sums wrong, but it seems to be
:10:23. > :10:27.down to individual error. The computer system did flag up that
:10:28. > :10:32.they had made a mistake, and they manually overrode it. As a result of
:10:33. > :10:35.an investigation into this case, it has been recommended that staff are
:10:36. > :10:39.retrained in the computer system so they have more confidence in it. It
:10:40. > :10:42.has also been pointed out that it happened over a weekend, so NHS
:10:43. > :10:47.Lothian have beefed up on-call cover at weekends. We do not know what
:10:48. > :10:51.happened to the patient involved, because they are anonymous and
:10:52. > :10:55.entitled to confidentiality. However, we do know it was
:10:56. > :10:58.palliative, so it was end of life treatment. It is possible that this
:10:59. > :11:01.patient actually passed away before they felt the ill effects.
:11:02. > :11:04.Scottish farmers are warning of a difficult future when the UK
:11:05. > :11:06.leaves the European Union, because subsidies could fall.
:11:07. > :11:08.They were meeting the Deputy First Minister.
:11:09. > :11:10.John Swinney said it was an issue of significant concern
:11:11. > :11:13.and that he was fighting to keep Scotland in the EU.
:11:14. > :11:15.The UK Government is also pledging continuing support.
:11:16. > :11:17.Our political correspondent Andrew Kerr reports
:11:18. > :11:34.A sunny day after the rain, ideal conditions for growing crops. And to
:11:35. > :11:38.meet the Deputy First Minister. But Scottish farmers are not facing
:11:39. > :11:42.ideal conditions in the aftermath of the vote to leave the EU. Yes, there
:11:43. > :11:48.has been a boost in prices with the fall in the pound, but what happens
:11:49. > :11:50.to generous subsidies from the Common Agricultural Policy? In
:11:51. > :11:56.future, governments might not match them. The gross farm income is
:11:57. > :12:02.reliant on subsidies. I don't see that changing, until maybe the
:12:03. > :12:06.public learn to pay the real price for food. It's going to be very
:12:07. > :12:09.difficult. We have been assured many times that the government will look
:12:10. > :12:16.after us. We have to take their word for it. For two years they are
:12:17. > :12:19.guaranteed, and we will hope for longer, we will press for them being
:12:20. > :12:25.guaranteed longer. Listening to them, John Swinney. His government
:12:26. > :12:28.wants to keep Scotland's place in the EU, and he says the farming
:12:29. > :12:35.industry is a crucial part of that union. If that is to be interrupted
:12:36. > :12:39.by the actions of the UK Government, disrespecting the decisions of
:12:40. > :12:42.people in Scotland to remain in EU membership, that is an issue of
:12:43. > :12:47.significant concern that has to be addressed. What we are doing, the
:12:48. > :12:51.Scottish Government, is acting with all of our energy to protect
:12:52. > :12:54.Scotland's EU membership, to make sure the vital interests of the
:12:55. > :12:59.agricultural sector are protected as part of that process. Indeed, Brexit
:13:00. > :13:04.negotiations and a future funding deal are in the hands of the UK
:13:05. > :13:07.Government. Today, they said the Prime Minister was clear that there
:13:08. > :13:11.needs to be a system of agricultural support, in the event of a decision
:13:12. > :13:16.to leave the EU. The Government will work with industry and the public to
:13:17. > :13:20.develop these new arrangements. The decision by voters to leave the
:13:21. > :13:26.European Union still reverberate around this land, two weeks on.
:13:27. > :13:27.Farmers are used to uncertainty, but perhaps this is one factor they did
:13:28. > :13:31.not bargain for. Inspectors who've visited Aberdeen
:13:32. > :13:34.crematorium say staff who'd worked there at a time
:13:35. > :13:36.when babies were cremated with unrelated adults see
:13:37. > :13:40.themselves as the victims. The claim has angered bereaved
:13:41. > :13:42.parents who were denied Unions insist the language used has
:13:43. > :14:00.not come from the staff. For years, these walls contained a
:14:01. > :14:06.secret, and unethical and ab horror and practice, jointly cremating
:14:07. > :14:10.babies with unrelated adults. The manager who oversaw the actions has
:14:11. > :14:15.been sacked, but many of those who carried out the cremations are still
:14:16. > :14:17.here. The report follows an inspector's visit last Thursday,
:14:18. > :14:23.which overall gives a positive assessment. But it says a number of
:14:24. > :14:28.employees who were there before the process changed regard themselves as
:14:29. > :14:33.being the victims. Scott Wells died of cot death after one month of
:14:34. > :14:37.life. His father says what he is hearing today is nothing short of
:14:38. > :14:41.offensive. It is a complete insult, rubbing salt in the wounds when
:14:42. > :14:45.there does not need to be any of it. It is hard enough as it is. Parents
:14:46. > :14:49.are in a difficult situation, hurting enough as it is. With the
:14:50. > :14:56.report that has come out, to hear this that they are the victims, is
:14:57. > :14:59.unbelievable, really. Last week's inspection hollered a damning report
:15:00. > :15:04.into the running of this crematorium. But this union leader
:15:05. > :15:09.says it is the report that describes them as victims, not the workers
:15:10. > :15:13.themselves. I need to be clear that no member of staff has come forward
:15:14. > :15:22.and said, you know, I feel that way, I feel that we are the victims. In
:15:23. > :15:27.an exclusive sense, because that clearly is not true. The Chief
:15:28. > :15:31.Executive of Aberdeen City Council declined our requests for
:15:32. > :15:34.interviews. She is drafting a report in response to the criticisms and

:17:59. > :18:12.at Castle Stuart and our Welcome to Castle Stuart. We have
:18:13. > :18:15.had an intriguing second round. There are stored players out on the
:18:16. > :18:19.course, some making an impact on the leaderboard. We will get to that in
:18:20. > :18:25.a moment. Others scrambling as best as they can to try and book a spot
:18:26. > :18:26.here for the weekend. To test themselves against the course, and
:18:27. > :18:35.also the elements. Whelband of yesterday had eased,
:18:36. > :18:39.Castle Stuart and her links still found protection from blustery
:18:40. > :18:44.conditions. It was something Russell Knox was keen to take on.
:18:45. > :18:48.COMMENTATOR: Not a bad way to start. But it was New Zealander Danny Lee
:18:49. > :18:54.who was showing everyone how to do it. Excellent stuff. Louis carding a
:18:55. > :18:59.round of 66 to become the early clubhouse leader on seven under par.
:19:00. > :19:02.I always love to start my round heart and put some birdies in early
:19:03. > :19:08.rounds, so I can get my momentum going. I have been doing that very
:19:09. > :19:13.well the last few days. These were not the only thing on view around
:19:14. > :19:17.Castle Stuart. Three-time major champion Padraig Harrington was also
:19:18. > :19:22.putting on a show. Knox meanwhile carded a round of 70, and we work
:19:23. > :19:28.for the man who missed his tea last night to visit his old golf club. I
:19:29. > :19:31.am a bit hungry, to be honest. Tough out there against I'm looking
:19:32. > :19:40.forward to some good lunch. You must be tired, it has been a tough 24
:19:41. > :19:45.hours. No, I am an athlete, I am a beast, I don't get tired! Of course
:19:46. > :19:49.I get tired, but the adrenaline is in the and that will help me. Former
:19:50. > :19:55.Scottish open winner Graeme McDowell is one to make an afternoon lead up
:19:56. > :19:59.-- move up the leaderboard but it has been another day where those out
:20:00. > :20:04.early fared better than the players who followed. So we had Danny Lee as
:20:05. > :20:11.the long-time clubhouse leaders today. In the last few minutes, he
:20:12. > :20:16.has given up that throne to Sweden's Alex Noren, going to eight under
:20:17. > :20:20.par. Eddie Pepperell from England has moved alongside Danny Lee, just
:20:21. > :20:26.a shot behind Alexander Noren on seven under par. The leading Scot is
:20:27. > :20:30.Richie Ramsay. He is now at four under par. The cut is projected to
:20:31. > :20:34.be at two over, meaning we will miss the likes of Scott Jamieson, and
:20:35. > :20:38.Paul Rowley, who finished on ten under par. We will also miss Shane
:20:39. > :20:43.Lowry and Miguel Angel Jimenez from the weekend. But in the last few
:20:44. > :20:47.minutes we have a new leader at Castle student. His name is
:20:48. > :20:52.Alexander Noren from Sweden on eight under par. Thank you very much for
:20:53. > :20:55.that and we will go straight back to Jane Lewis at Wimbledon, where it is
:20:56. > :20:57.looking very good, Jane, for Andy Murray.
:20:58. > :21:04.Things are looking very healthy indeed. Two sets to love up against
:21:05. > :21:10.Tomas Berdych and leading 5-2 in the third set. Annabel Croft is here, I
:21:11. > :21:14.think he will win this one, isn't he? I think that was even going to
:21:15. > :21:17.do his third Wimbledon final. Faultless tennis on Centre Court
:21:18. > :21:22.today, he has played with aggression, with very few unforced
:21:23. > :21:26.errors. He has used his slice backhand very effectively but he has
:21:27. > :21:32.just kind of taking part of weapons that Tomas Berdych had out on court.
:21:33. > :21:36.He looks so confident, fired up, time enough as well, and he has Ivan
:21:37. > :21:41.Lendl sitting there in the box. I think he's doing everything he that
:21:42. > :21:47.Ivan Lendl would want to out there. Milos Raonic in the final, but is it
:21:48. > :21:50.a bit of a surprise? What sort of match are you expecting? It was
:21:51. > :21:55.going to be touch and go with Roger Federer. Raonic came out of the
:21:56. > :22:00.blocks quickly. Roger took a lot of time to try to find a rhythm against
:22:01. > :22:04.that massive serve. He then came close to potentially serving for the
:22:05. > :22:08.match, he got a break point at 5-5 in the fourth set and was not able
:22:09. > :22:12.to convert. He dropped that fourth set, he fell over on the court, had
:22:13. > :22:14.a difficult moment where he thought he had damaged his knee, and he
:22:15. > :22:20.never recovered emotionally after that. I think the legs went very
:22:21. > :22:23.heavy and difficult. It was a shame to see a sentimental favourite going
:22:24. > :22:29.out of championships. But in terms of the final matchup, and he has won
:22:30. > :22:33.the last five encounters, he beat him at Queen's in the final, but it
:22:34. > :22:40.will still be tough because this guy has one of the biggest serves on the
:22:41. > :22:44.game. Do it and when his second Wimbledon title? I think so, I had
:22:45. > :22:49.never seen him move better and hit the ball better so I think we will
:22:50. > :22:52.see Murray lifting up their travel on Sunday. Annabel Croft, we will
:22:53. > :22:57.let you go, thank you for joining us. Andy Murray looking very good
:22:58. > :23:00.indeed, as I look towards Henman Hill, they are getting very, very
:23:01. > :23:07.excited about how Andy Murray is failing. As Annabel Croft said, he
:23:08. > :23:11.has played sensationally out there in his semifinal match against Tomas
:23:12. > :23:14.Berdych. He will play Milos Raonic in that final. He had a sensational
:23:15. > :23:22.win against Roger Federer this afternoon. We go to pictures of Andy
:23:23. > :23:26.Murray now, who is serving for the match. We will stay with this one to
:23:27. > :23:33.see whether Andy Murray can make his third Wimbledon final. He is of
:23:34. > :23:39.course serving against Tomas Berdych. Let's see how he gets on.
:23:40. > :24:22.COMMENTATOR: Murray has served down the tea exceptionally well, but you
:24:23. > :24:26.might have thought Berdych would move across a little bit, just to
:24:27. > :24:32.say about time you move and hit a few out wide here.
:24:33. > :24:44.Murray once that same ball back, thank you very much. I like that
:24:45. > :24:50.one. UMPIRE: Thank you, players are
:24:51. > :25:42.ready, thank you. Things are looking very good indeed
:25:43. > :25:46.for Andy Murray. We can just see Henman Hill, the fans are poised as
:25:47. > :25:50.opposed to celebrate what should be a Murray win. We will have more from
:25:51. > :25:55.Wimbledon when and should Andy Murray wrap this one up.
:25:56. > :25:59.Are very close but in the meantime let's see what we can expect from
:26:00. > :26:08.the weekend weather, Chris. A lovely end to the day across many
:26:09. > :26:12.parts of the country. Showers fading away, the clouds thinning and
:26:13. > :26:16.baking. To end the day, any scenes like this in from one of our Weather
:26:17. > :26:20.Watchers. For T in the Park this evening, it looks set fair, but
:26:21. > :26:23.through the course of the weekend, there are some that weather on the
:26:24. > :26:28.cards. This evening, you will see from the shop that it is mostly dry
:26:29. > :26:32.with some sunshine but then the cloud will build, followed by
:26:33. > :26:36.outbreaks of rain as we had out overnight. A weather front reaching
:26:37. > :26:39.most part across the country. A mild-mannered, temperatures holding
:26:40. > :26:43.in double digits but further north where it is clear, just a touch
:26:44. > :26:46.cooler. That wet weather still with us first thing tomorrow morning, all
:26:47. > :26:50.connected to this area of low pressure out in the Atlantic. Really
:26:51. > :26:53.quite deep for the time of year. Something we would usually see in
:26:54. > :26:57.the autumn or indeed winter. But it is a good way away from us further
:26:58. > :27:00.than we thought, so the wind is not as strong as we have fought earlier
:27:01. > :27:05.on in the week but it was to be cloudy and damp. This first batch of
:27:06. > :27:08.rain edging up about Orkney, dry for a time behind it and then another
:27:09. > :27:12.spell of rain pushing into the cause of the afternoon for the south and
:27:13. > :27:18.east. By mid afternoon, temperatures 17, 18, 19 Celsius. Fairly murky at
:27:19. > :27:21.times with rain and often onto the course of the day. Whether cloud
:27:22. > :27:26.breaks it will feel quite humid with that July sunshine that as I say,
:27:27. > :27:31.the wet weather never too far away. It will be a wet afternoon across
:27:32. > :27:35.Orkney. That rain never quite reaching Shetland until later but it
:27:36. > :27:37.is coming your way. For those hill walking and climbing, expect
:27:38. > :27:41.outbreaks of rain through the course of the day. Some brighter moments,
:27:42. > :27:48.and wins generally from the South 20 mph or so. For eastern reaches, some
:27:49. > :27:51.bright stars but also a number of showers, across-the-board Hills more
:27:52. > :27:56.like heavy rain. To end the afternoon into the evening, wet
:27:57. > :28:00.weather around and then showers start to develop a matter Sunday's
:28:01. > :28:04.weather. That is still with us for the second half of the weekend,
:28:05. > :28:09.remaining unsettled with showers at times. To start the day, on Sunday,
:28:10. > :28:13.dry and bright, then showers in the West, and through the course they
:28:14. > :28:16.trundle eastward and one or two of those are quite heavy, particularly
:28:17. > :28:22.through parts of Murray and the north-east. But again a humid feel.
:28:23. > :28:26.South of the border, all eyes on Wimbledon and on Sunday for the
:28:27. > :28:29.final. One or two showers around, potentially the roof closing at
:28:30. > :28:35.times. Certainly one to watch. That is the forecast. And guess what,
:28:36. > :28:39.Andy Murray has beaten Tomas Berdych and this through to the final of
