:04:12. > :04:19.Well, she served to drop a serve in the first set. She has missed two

:04:20. > :04:39.returns in a row, this one has to go in. They should not lose.

:04:40. > :05:13.In fairness, it was a very good server.

:05:14. > :05:52.Zero percentage shots there. If these to get to the final pair are

:05:53. > :06:05.going to be very popular. Still hasn't made a return in this game.

:06:06. > :06:15.Just more confirmation of the work that has got to be done on that

:06:16. > :06:17.forehand. Still need to knuckle down here, because it is Watson's serve

:06:18. > :06:27.next. They're having a good challenge now.

:06:28. > :07:10.APPLAUSE # Celebrations for Milos Raonic and

:07:11. > :07:16.Andy Murray. Also for another Scot, Gordon Reid.

:07:17. > :07:22.He is through to not one but two finals. The singles wheelchair

:07:23. > :07:25.finals and the doubles as well. Earlier, after his success, I caught

:07:26. > :07:31.up with him. No, I don't think I felt pressure. I

:07:32. > :07:34.had the support. There were a lot of people backing me there. The squad

:07:35. > :07:39.and the British members of the public as well. I tried to enjoy it

:07:40. > :07:43.and make the most of the moment. Brilliant there from Gordon Reid and

:07:44. > :07:47.from Andy Murray as well. He is through to the third Wimbledon

:07:48. > :07:51.final. He is to take on Milos Raonic of Canada in Sunday's final. I have

:07:52. > :07:54.to say that Milos Raonic has never reached a Wimbledon final. Andy

:07:55. > :07:59.Murray has been there three times before. Will it give him an edge?

:08:00. > :08:03.Who knows. But this may give him the edge, of course, he has won the

:08:04. > :08:09.championship before. That well, he will take confidence from that. He

:08:10. > :08:16.is also in great form as we saw out there on Centre Court this afternoon

:08:17. > :08:20.with the straight set win over Tomas Berdych winning 6-3, 6-3, 6-3, Andy

:08:21. > :08:25.Murray is through to the final on Sunday.

:08:26. > :08:29.The police are investigating the deaths of two teenagers at

:08:30. > :08:34.Scotland's biggest music festival. The officers say that the separate

:08:35. > :08:38.incidents at T in the Park in Perthshire may be drug-related. Our

:08:39. > :08:44.reporter is there for us. This is the first full day of T in

:08:45. > :08:48.the Park. An event aimed at younger music lovers but overshadowed by the

:08:49. > :08:53.deaths of two 17-year-olds that we heard about today. The police

:08:54. > :08:56.Scotland were called to two separate incidents, one at midnight, the

:08:57. > :09:02.other at 5am. They say that the circumstances of

:09:03. > :09:07.the deaths are unexplained. But it has been shocking to everybody here.

:09:08. > :09:11.The morning after the first night of T in the Park.

:09:12. > :09:16.What those waking up don't realise is that there have been two separate

:09:17. > :09:21.deaths reported at the festival. The Police Scotland say a 17-year-old

:09:22. > :09:24.man from the West of Scotland and a 17-year-old female from the north of

:09:25. > :09:29.England died in circumstances not thought to be suspicious.

:09:30. > :09:36.We are keeping an open mind. But a line of inquiry is that drugs may

:09:37. > :09:39.have been involved in the deaths. We reiterate the policy of Police

:09:40. > :09:43.Scotland and the organisers, there is no safe way to take drugs.

:09:44. > :09:45.The medical team responded quickly and worked hard to save the two

:09:46. > :09:49.young people but unfortunately they and worked hard to save the two

:09:50. > :09:54.could not. Our sympathy really is with the family and the friends with

:09:55. > :10:00.them. This is supposed to be a weekend of

:10:01. > :10:02.music with mates but as the news spread, it cast a shadow over the

:10:03. > :10:07.events. It is pretty tragic. You are coming

:10:08. > :10:11.to a festival to enjoy yourself. You are with friends and stuff. You just

:10:12. > :10:16.want to have a good time it is horrible to hear about people dying.

:10:17. > :10:23.They could be your friends. I heard about it. It was frightening.

:10:24. > :10:26.But we were ringing parents at that say we were OK. But sad.

:10:27. > :10:30.Sad. The death of a teenager is tragic

:10:31. > :10:36.Sad. but at an event like this it seems

:10:37. > :10:42.especially cruel. The Scottish Government says it has

:10:43. > :10:46.well developed plans to cope with a series of rail strikes that clash

:10:47. > :10:50.with major events. The Transport Minister chaired a meeting of the

:10:51. > :10:56.Government's resilience committee ahead of planned strikes that could

:10:57. > :11:02.affect those travelling to T in the Park and the Open.

:11:03. > :11:08.This dispute about about driver-only operated trains. The unions have

:11:09. > :11:13.safety concerns to phase out guards or conductors on the trains.

:11:14. > :11:18.ScotRail have said that they will always schedule a second person to

:11:19. > :11:22.be on a train. But talks broke down, that means that the strike action

:11:23. > :11:28.planned for this week end and next week will go ahead. What does it

:11:29. > :11:32.mean in terms of disruption? Well, there are 80,000 people at T in the

:11:33. > :11:37.park. And tens of thousands people heading to the Open. The Scottish

:11:38. > :11:40.Government's resilience committee have been discussing plans to put in

:11:41. > :11:47.place. Scotland have not put forward plans

:11:48. > :11:52.and proposals for their plans for driver controlled operated trains.

:11:53. > :11:58.It is up to the RMT to go forward. Our call is for the RMT to suspend

:11:59. > :12:01.strikes and to get around the table so that the passenger is not

:12:02. > :12:06.disrupted. So getting home from T in the Park,

:12:07. > :12:12.organisers say that bus is best. Trains running but reduced. Heading

:12:13. > :12:17.to the Open, psychological rail are putting on additional services that

:12:18. > :12:24.must be connected up to. So look out for cancellations. The advice is to

:12:25. > :12:27.plan ahead. The strike days will be Sunday, Monday, Thursday next week

:12:28. > :12:33.and then Saturday and Sunday the following weekend.

:12:34. > :12:37.A cancer patient in Edinburgh has been given an accidental overdose of

:12:38. > :12:42.radiation, double the dose that should have been received. The

:12:43. > :12:48.patient was being given palliative radio therapy last September.

:12:49. > :12:54.This reminds people of the terrible and the tragic case of Lisa Norris,

:12:55. > :12:57.who as a teenager was given an overdose of radio therapy in 2006.

:12:58. > :13:01.who as a teenager was given an She endured terrible suffering

:13:02. > :13:07.before her death. The overdose given to this patient was higher than that

:13:08. > :13:11.given to Lisa Norris but in other ways, the circumstances were

:13:12. > :13:15.different. Lisa Norris' case was a result of system wide failures.

:13:16. > :13:23.Following the case much was done to make radio therapy safer. In this

:13:24. > :13:25.case, individuals made errors, they did calculations that were wrong and

:13:26. > :13:31.case, individuals made errors, they put in those wrong calculations to

:13:32. > :13:38.give an overdose of radio therapy. The computer system designed to flag

:13:39. > :13:42.up mistakes worked and did flag up that an error had been made but they

:13:43. > :13:46.overroad the computer system. As a result of the investigation into the

:13:47. > :13:48.case, everyone who uses that particular computer system will be

:13:49. > :13:52.retrained so that they have confidence in it. The investigation

:13:53. > :13:56.also appointed out that this happened over a weekend. Following

:13:57. > :14:02.this case, the NHS Lothian has beefed up the number of specialists

:14:03. > :14:07.on call. What we don't know is what happened to the patient involved

:14:08. > :14:13.this time, they are anonymous. We know that they were given the radio

:14:14. > :14:17.therapy as part of pattiative care, end of life care, it is possible

:14:18. > :14:22.that they may have passed away before feeling the ill effects.

:14:23. > :14:28.Scottish farmers are warning of a difficult future when the UK leaves

:14:29. > :14:32.the European Union. They are meeting John Swinney. He said it was an

:14:33. > :14:38.issue of concern, he was fighting to keep Scotland in the EU, the UK

:14:39. > :14:44.Government is pledging continued support.

:14:45. > :14:51.A sunny day after the rain, ideal conditions for growing crops.

:14:52. > :14:55.And to meet the deputy firm but Scottish farmers are not facing

:14:56. > :14:59.ideal conditions in the aftermath of the vote to leave the EU. Yes, there

:15:00. > :15:04.has been a boost in prices with a fall in the pound but what happens

:15:05. > :15:07.to generous subsidies from the Common Agriculture Policy? In the

:15:08. > :15:12.future governments may not match them.

:15:13. > :15:17.The farm income is reliant on subsidies. I don't see that change.

:15:18. > :15:22.Until maybe the public learn to pay the real price for food it will be

:15:23. > :15:25.difficult. We have been assured many times, that Government will look

:15:26. > :15:31.after us. We have to take their word for it.

:15:32. > :15:36.And for two years, they are guaranteed, and hopefully we can

:15:37. > :15:39.press for them to be guaranteed longer.

:15:40. > :15:44.Listening to the concerns, John Swinney. His Government's wants to

:15:45. > :15:48.keep Scotland's place in the EU. He says that the farming industry is a

:15:49. > :15:54.crucial part of that union. We said if that was changed by the

:15:55. > :15:58.actions of the UK Government, disrespecting the decisions of the

:15:59. > :16:02.people of Scotland to stay in the EU membership, that is an issue of

:16:03. > :16:07.address. What we are doing is acting with the energy we have to protect

:16:08. > :16:11.Scotland's EU membership to ensure that the interest of the agriculture

:16:12. > :16:15.sector are protected as part of that process.

:16:16. > :16:18.The Brexit negotiations and future funding deals are in the hand of the

:16:19. > :16:22.UK Government. Today they said that the Prime Minister was clear, that

:16:23. > :16:26.there must be a system of agriculture support in the event of

:16:27. > :16:30.a decision to leave the EU. The Government will work with industry

:16:31. > :16:35.and the public to develop these new arrangements.

:16:36. > :16:39.The decision by voters to leave the European Union reverb rates around

:16:40. > :16:44.this land two weeks on. Farmers are used to uncertainty in their lives

:16:45. > :16:55.but perhaps this is one factor that they did not bargain for.

:16:56. > :17:03.Inspectors who visited Aberdeen creme torable say staff working

:17:04. > :17:07.there at the time when babies were cremated with unrelated adults see

:17:08. > :17:11.themselves as the victims, unions insist that the language used has

:17:12. > :17:18.not come from the staff. For years, these walls contained a

:17:19. > :17:23.secret: An unethical and abhorrent practice, jointly cremating babies

:17:24. > :17:27.with unrelated adults. The manager that oversaw the actions sacked but

:17:28. > :17:34.many who carried out the cremations are still here. The report follows

:17:35. > :17:40.an ininspector's visit last Thursday that gives a positive assessment but

:17:41. > :17:44.says a number of employ years there before the process changed regard

:17:45. > :17:49.themselves as being the victims. Scot Wells died of cot death after a

:17:50. > :17:52.month of life. His father says what he is hearing is nothing short of

:17:53. > :17:58.offensive. It is an insult. Rubbing salt in the

:17:59. > :18:00.wounds. It is hard enough as it is. The parents are in a difficult

:18:01. > :18:04.situation. It is hard enough as it is, with the

:18:05. > :18:08.report that has come out. And then to hear this, that they are the

:18:09. > :18:14.victims... Well, unbelievable, really.

:18:15. > :18:17.Last week's inspection followed a damning report into the running of

:18:18. > :18:22.this crematorium. But this union leader says it is the reports that

:18:23. > :18:25.describes them as victims not the workers themselves.

:18:26. > :18:31.I need to be clear that no member of staff has come forward to say that

:18:32. > :18:37.they feel that way. That they feel they are the victims.

:18:38. > :18:44.In an exclusive sense, as that is clearly not true.

:18:45. > :18:49.The chief executive of Aberdeen City Council declined the request for a

:18:50. > :18:54.interview. She said that the outcome of the inspection will now form part

:18:55. > :19:00.of the report. That report is expected to be

:19:01. > :19:07.presented next month. Now let's take a look at other

:19:08. > :19:11.stories from across the country. Two people died and another

:19:12. > :19:17.seriously injured in an accident south of Edinburgh, it happened on

:19:18. > :19:23.the A 68, Dalkeith by pass. A man and a woman died at the scene,

:19:24. > :19:30.another man was taken to Edinburgh royal infirmary. Police appealed for

:19:31. > :19:34.witnesses after a fatal crash on the outskirts of Dumfries. The driver

:19:35. > :19:39.and a 25-year-old woman died when the car lost control on the roads.

:19:40. > :19:44.The collide passenger ferry is to be run with a bigger boat, designed to

:19:45. > :19:48.operate in rougher weather than the current veriesle. The service

:19:49. > :19:54.requires bidders to provide a boat up to 40 metres in length up from 26

:19:55. > :19:58.metres at present. Ten new galleries at the National Museum of Scotland

:19:59. > :20:03.opened to the public. Exhibits were unveiled after a ?14 million upgrade

:20:04. > :20:07.of the popular attraction. Museum bosses hope that the investment in

:20:08. > :20:13.the science and the arts sections make them more attractive for the

:20:14. > :20:19.visitors. Glasgow's George Square has been transformed as it prepares

:20:20. > :20:28.to host the homeless World Cup. The Egypt features 48 mens' and 68

:20:29. > :20:33.womens' teams. Scotland last hosted this event in Edinburgh in 57.

:20:34. > :20:37.It is a free football tournament, taking place in George Square, the

:20:38. > :20:41.teams are homeless people from around the world. We are changing

:20:42. > :20:47.their lives. The Queen has been to see a portrait

:20:48. > :20:55.of herself unveiled in Edinburgh. Commissioned by the Royal Company of

:20:56. > :21:02.Archers to mark her 90th birthday. The work is by the artist Mickey

:21:03. > :21:08.Phillips is to hang in the dining room at Archer's Hall in Edinburgh.

:21:09. > :21:13.It has been a testing day for the players in the second round of

:21:14. > :21:18.golf's Scottish Open near Inverness. Earlier a New Zealander showing

:21:19. > :21:25.everyone else how to do it, before a Swede put in a late surge. Richie

:21:26. > :21:32.Ramsey is the leading Scot. By the wind of yesterday, after it

:21:33. > :21:35.eased, Castle Stuart and her length, found protection from the

:21:36. > :21:41.conditions. Something that Russell Knocks was keen to take on.

:21:42. > :21:48.But it was New Zealander, Danny Lee, showing everyone how to do it.

:21:49. > :21:51.Lee carding a round of 66 to become the early clubhouse leader on

:21:52. > :21:57.7-under par. I always love to start my round hard

:21:58. > :22:02.and put birdies in early, to get my momentum going. I've been doing that

:22:03. > :22:08.well in the last two days. Birdies were not the only thing on

:22:09. > :22:10.view around Castle Stuart. Three-time major championship,

:22:11. > :22:17.Padraig Harrington was putting on a show.

:22:18. > :22:23.Marks were being carded of about 70. This man missed his tea last night

:22:24. > :22:27.to visit the old golf club! I am hungry. It is tough out there.

:22:28. > :22:33.Looking forward to a good lunch. It has been a hell of a 24 hours.

:22:34. > :22:39.I'm an athlete, a beast. I don't get tired! That bacon roll shows you are

:22:40. > :22:45.tired? Of course, a little tired. The adrenaline is in me, that helps.

:22:46. > :22:53.The leading Scot, though, is Richie Ramsey, shots like this helping the

:22:54. > :23:01.Aberdonian card of 68 to 4-under par. But the biggest mover, the new

:23:02. > :23:07.leader of the Scottish Open, is Alex Norman. A shot clear of the field --

:23:08. > :23:12.Noren. Now, let's see what to expect from

:23:13. > :23:16.the weather forecast. Chris, it was nice for Beyonce, what for the other

:23:17. > :23:22.musical events. Tell us about Beyonce? Brilliant, as

:23:23. > :23:24.you might imagine. I know you are a fan Sally, surprised you were not

:23:25. > :23:30.there. Now the weather.

:23:31. > :23:35.A lovely end to the day across many parts of the country. Here the cloud

:23:36. > :23:40.is melting into sunshine. Many scenes like this one.

:23:41. > :23:44.So the evening at T in the park, sunshine, set fair. But through the

:23:45. > :23:46.course of the week, there is a change afoot.

:23:47. > :23:53.Tonight you will see the chart there. There is sunshine. Largely

:23:54. > :23:57.dry but overnight the cloud builds and the rain arrives pushing its way

:23:58. > :24:04.into the country. It is a cloudy night. Wet for many and mild.

:24:05. > :24:08.Temperatures about 13 Celsius. In the north, clearer conditions but a

:24:09. > :24:15.touch cooler. The wet weather is with us tomorrow morning. Courtesy

:24:16. > :24:19.of the low pressure in the Atlantic. We will not see the high winds that

:24:20. > :24:24.were forecast but still the cloud and the rain.

:24:25. > :24:29.Initially, that first band of rain stretching towards Orkney, behind it

:24:30. > :24:34.drying out but then more rain pushing through the day, personally

:24:35. > :24:37.in the south and in the east. By mid-afternoon, cloudy with outbreaks

:24:38. > :24:42.of rain. Temperatures in the high teens, up to 20 Celsius in the

:24:43. > :24:46.central lowlands. As the cloud breaks, feeling humid. That wet

:24:47. > :24:51.weather is in play for most of the country. Certainly across the

:24:52. > :24:55.north-west it could be murky. The wet weather over Orkney, never

:24:56. > :25:00.reaching the Shetlands until later, it is coming your way. Hillwalking

:25:01. > :25:03.or climbing in the western ranges there will be outbreaks of rain.

:25:04. > :25:07.or climbing in the western ranges Winds in the southerly direction. In

:25:08. > :25:11.the eastern ranges likely to see the bright spells and a number of

:25:12. > :25:17.showers that will be hill. For the border hills, just heavy rain.

:25:18. > :25:21.The rest of the afternoon into the evening, the wet weather clears but

:25:22. > :25:27.then further outbreaks of rain. On Sunday, the low pressure is with us,

:25:28. > :25:34.so the unsettled theme continues. Starting Sunday for eastern areas,

:25:35. > :25:40.including Inverness and Aberdeen, some sunshine, showers. The showers

:25:41. > :25:45.turning heavy over Murray and Aberdeenshire. A humid feel. South

:25:46. > :25:50.of the border, he has done it. He's in the final. The weather? A chance

:25:51. > :25:55.of a shower or two pushing through, the roof may not stay open. That's

:25:56. > :25:59.the forecast for now. A reminder of the news: Five

:26:00. > :26:05.officers are dead, seven wounded after being shot during a peaceful

:26:06. > :26:15.protest in Dallas, Texas, it happened as hundreds protested about

:26:16. > :26:19.the week's fatal police shootings of black men in minute apiaries and

:26:20. > :26:28.Minnesota. And two fatal deaths of taken agers

:26:29. > :26:32.at T in the park. They could be drug-related and Andy Murray is

:26:33. > :26:37.through to the Wimbledon final after beating Tomas Berdych.

:26:38. > :26:42.Andy Murray reached his 11th Grand Slam final.

:26:43. > :26:46.The older you get you never know how many chances you have to play in the

:26:47. > :26:52.Gravineed slam finals. You want to make the most of opportunities. Glad

:26:53. > :26:58.I managed to get through today. Yes. I guess, the older you got, you are

:26:59. > :27:00.more experienced which helps. It helps you deal with the nerves a bit

:27:01. > :27:06.better. The best of luck to him on Sunday.

:27:07. > :27:11.You can watch the match live here on BBC One Scotland. For now, that is

:27:12. > :27:14.Reporting Scotland. I'm back with the late news at 10.30pm. Until

:27:15. > :27:15.then, good evening.
