:21:01. > :21:04.great. The wind was blowing and it was very warm. And it was early in
:21:05. > :21:08.the season. All of those things went against them but the players should
:21:09. > :21:12.have adapted. You have been around the team for a long time and
:21:13. > :21:14.everyone expects Celtic to do this tonight, why? It is the same
:21:15. > :21:19.everyone expects Celtic to do this players, 11 against 11. But they are
:21:20. > :21:23.here on their own patch. It is a big pitch, a grass pitch. I am sure it
:21:24. > :21:29.is in excellent condition. The ball will be moving around so much
:21:30. > :21:33.quicker, and hopefully they will be passing the ball. And they are
:21:34. > :21:38.weekend in their training schedule. Simply, defeat for Celtic is
:21:39. > :21:41.unthinkable tonight. It is. This is why they brought Brendan Rodgers
:21:42. > :21:45.here, to be in the Champions League. This is the early stages of the
:21:46. > :21:48.qualifying rounds, and to lose tonight would be incredible. I do
:21:49. > :21:55.not think it will happen. I think there will be -- I think they will
:21:56. > :21:58.be going to get extant, which is a bit of a joint. Matt Bonner is
:21:59. > :22:05.confident this evening. Remember, this is a side of police officers,
:22:06. > :22:08.taxi drivers, can the Lincoln Red Imps complete the fairy tale this
:22:09. > :22:09.evening? Most people say no but in this year offered Bolling shocks,
:22:10. > :22:11.you never know. And we have live coverage
:22:12. > :22:14.of the match on BBC Radio Scotland. Kick-off is at 7:45
:22:15. > :22:16.and the Sportsound team To golf and after his exertions
:22:17. > :22:22.at last week's Open Championship at Royal Troon, Colin Montgomerie
:22:23. > :22:25.is back in action as he aims to lift the Seniors Open
:22:26. > :22:30.title at Carnoustie. If variety of legends of the game
:22:31. > :22:35.are in attendance. For certain competitors
:22:36. > :22:37.at the event, it's a return mixed memories to say the least,
:22:38. > :22:45.as Brian Mclauchlin reports. The 18th hole here at Carnoustie,
:22:46. > :22:50.one of the most famous finishing holes in championship golf. This
:22:51. > :22:52.week, 28 Major winners will contest for the title of British senior Open

:22:58. > :23:05.return to a course that has memories for him that he will want to forget.
:23:06. > :23:08.Requiring only six of the last to ensure victory, John Vandevelde puts
:23:09. > :23:13.his ball into the burn and capitulates. Paul Lawrie eventually
:23:14. > :23:18.lifted the Claret Jug after a play-off. Golf is a game and when
:23:19. > :23:23.you say game, you talk about luck. And sometimes you have good fortune
:23:24. > :23:29.and sometimes you do not. You have to take it all. Happy memories of
:23:30. > :23:35.the Carnoustie links for Tom Watson, who won his first-ever Major here in
:23:36. > :23:38.1975. But he has not always been a lover of links golf. The love of the
:23:39. > :23:42.bounce was disconcerting at the beginning. It took me a while to
:23:43. > :23:49.finally give up my dislike for it. I embraced it, and I learned to love
:23:50. > :23:53.the game, the way it is played on these courses. Also competing this
:23:54. > :23:57.week is a favoured Scott. Already with three senior Majors under his
:23:58. > :24:04.belt, he is looking for his first in his native country. The next time
:24:05. > :24:08.that the Major cycle comes round, it will be 2018, and we are playing at
:24:09. > :24:12.St Andrews, which will be phenomenal. I would like to think I
:24:13. > :24:17.am so competitive. I am looking at Bernard Langer at 58, still the
:24:18. > :24:22.favourite. I am 53 so hopefully there will be opportunities again.
:24:23. > :24:27.Why not take it while it is here? Over ?1.3 million is up for grabs
:24:28. > :24:31.over the next four days with play getting underway on the Angus links
:24:32. > :24:34.at seven o'clock tomorrow morning. An early start for Brian MacLachlan.
:24:35. > :24:36.That is the sport. It will not do him any harm!
:24:37. > :24:38.Let's return to the subject of the weather now.
:24:39. > :24:53.A week's a long time in politics, and a day
:24:54. > :25:01.Yes, it has been a very lively day of weather. As usual, our weather
:25:02. > :25:05.watchers have sent us some spectacular images. This wonderful
:25:06. > :25:10.image from Robert, taken during the early hours in Inverness. And this
:25:11. > :25:14.image taken just today of threatening skies across much of the
:25:15. > :25:20.country. This evening, and tonight, things beginning to settle down. We
:25:21. > :25:23.will continue to see thundery downpours across the far north of
:25:24. > :25:28.the mainland and the Northern Isles. The continued risk of localised
:25:29. > :25:31.flooding and hazardous driving conditions, and a be aware warning
:25:32. > :25:35.continuing to be in force in these areas until tomorrow morning.
:25:36. > :25:41.Elsewhere, it becomes dry and there will be some clear spells around.
:25:42. > :25:47.Still a fairly muggy nights tonight with temperatures around 10-14dC for
:25:48. > :25:50.most of us. It will not be as muggy as last night. Into tomorrow, we
:25:51. > :25:55.will have this ridge of high pressure allowing a much quieter
:25:56. > :26:01.weather day. Although we will begin to see this weather front moving in
:26:02. > :26:05.before the day is out. For tomorrow morning, we will lose the rain
:26:06. > :26:08.fairly quickly across the Northern Isles. A lot of dry and bright
:26:09. > :26:12.weather to come tomorrow with some spells of sunshine, most notably in
:26:13. > :26:17.the east and south. Tomorrow afternoon, around four o'clock, here
:26:18. > :26:20.is a closer look. Largely dry conditions with a scattering of
:26:21. > :26:24.showers in the east. Some of that could be heavy in nature. You will
:26:25. > :26:28.be unlucky if you catch it. And we may begin to see showery breaks of
:26:29. > :26:31.rain making inroads across some parts of the South West tomorrow
:26:32. > :26:35.afternoon. Continuing with a dry theme across much of the north of
:26:36. > :26:40.Scotland tomorrow afternoon and any bright or sunny spells will feel
:26:41. > :26:44.warm with temperatures peaking at around 22. Mostly light winds. Into
:26:45. > :26:49.the evening, cloud continuing to increase from the West followed by
:26:50. > :26:52.sharia breaks of rain. That will continue to track across the country
:26:53. > :26:59.so by Friday morning, it will still affect central and eastern areas for
:27:00. > :27:06.a time, beginning to clear away by the end of the day. A decent day of
:27:07. > :27:09.weather highs of 21. That is the forecast.
:27:10. > :27:16.Police say a man and a woman found dead in a flat in Aberdeen last
:27:17. > :27:24.The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner
:27:25. > :27:30.will investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
:27:31. > :27:32.And that's all from Reporting Scotland for now.
:27:33. > :27:35.I'll be back with the headlines at 8 and the late bulletin just
:27:36. > :27:39.Until then, from everyone on the team around the country,
:27:40. > :27:46.'Lights...' PHONE RINGS
:27:47. > :27:53.'The mother of all comedy is back - for one night only
:27:54. > :27:58.'and for the first time ever, it's completely live.'
