:19:50. > :19:53.Mali. The film is now hotly tipped for a string of awards. But it is
:19:54. > :19:57.back to school in Edinburgh for Lewis, even if he does have a couple
:19:58. > :19:59.of more films in the pipeline. And yes, he does still go to his local
:20:00. > :20:03.drama club at weekends. Now, before the weather,
:20:04. > :20:05.that all important moment when friends and families
:20:06. > :20:13.are reunited for Christmas. Despite the unseasonal weather,
:20:14. > :20:15.Lisa Summers has been to Edinburgh Airport
:20:16. > :20:24.to capture that moment. It's not exactly a picture of
:20:25. > :20:31.Christmas outside. More of a typical festive day in Scotland. However,
:20:32. > :20:48.inside Love, actually. And there's nothing more pleasing
:20:49. > :20:56.than family getting together for the happy holidays. It's just every now
:20:57. > :21:03.and again, to get the chance to spend a few days of quality time.
:21:04. > :21:10.It's great. In departures, the Christmas fairies were surprising
:21:11. > :21:15.travellers. The weather outside is, well, quite frankly, frightful. But
:21:16. > :21:18.inside Edinburgh airport with the 33,000 -- more than 33,000
:21:19. > :21:24.passengers will come through the terminal. People have been reuniting
:21:25. > :21:30.with loved ones all day. I came from Los Angeles and I went to
:21:31. > :21:37.Switzerland. And now I'm in Scotland. I came from Sao Paulo in
:21:38. > :21:45.Brazil and I have come all the way to be with my mum and sister for
:21:46. > :21:52.three days. I left this morning at seven o'clock and it was horrendous.
:21:53. > :21:56.Some homecomings were locally. We were blown in, literally. But we got
:21:57. > :22:01.here. Something we didn't think we would do at the beginning of the
:22:02. > :22:08.week. Back for Christmas. We have only come from Essex. So where
:22:09. > :22:12.interesting! Back in arrivals, a special guest braved Storm Barbara.
:22:13. > :22:13.No delays or destruction with reindeer in the driving seat.
:22:14. > :22:17.Merry Christmas, everyone. And now we have that all important
:22:18. > :22:28.weather forecast with Kawser. Thank you. After the horrendous
:22:29. > :22:31.weather we have seen today, it is a heart-warming story. We do have some
:22:32. > :22:35.windy weather. We have seen the impact of Storm Barbara in the
:22:36. > :22:39.programme throughout the show. We will continue to see strong winds
:22:40. > :22:43.through the evening. Clearing away from the Faroe Islands but we will
:22:44. > :22:47.still see some strong winds through the rest of the evening. These are
:22:48. > :22:57.some of the top gusts we have recorded. Widely gusts of 60 to 70
:22:58. > :23:00.mph across the country. We will continue to see those strong winds
:23:01. > :23:05.this evening. A yellow weather warning still in force. For the far
:23:06. > :23:12.north, a preprepared warning. For the Northern Isles, yet to reach
:23:13. > :23:18.those storms form -- Storm cross. -- costs. The added risk of icy
:23:19. > :23:23.stretches as temperatures hover around freezing or below. The Met
:23:24. > :23:26.office have further warnings for that across the north of the
:23:27. > :23:30.country. A cold and bitter start to the day tomorrow. It is still very
:23:31. > :23:35.windy and an unpleasant day in store for Christmas Eve. The winds are
:23:36. > :23:39.moderate. Between these heavy, wintry showers, there will be some
:23:40. > :23:42.brighter moments, especially for that towards the east. Let's take a
:23:43. > :23:45.closer look at three o'clock in the afternoon. The yellow weather
:23:46. > :23:50.warning still in place for the far north. Strong gusts expected. Some
:23:51. > :23:53.wintry showers, the risk of hail, thunder and lightning in the mix as
:23:54. > :23:58.well. Brighter spells on the East Coast. If you're brave enough to
:23:59. > :24:06.head to the mountains tomorrow, some very snow showers at summit level.
:24:07. > :24:11.The north-west Highlands, minus five degrees. It will feel bitterly cold.
:24:12. > :24:17.Pause visibility across all of the ranges. These two ranges costing 70
:24:18. > :24:23.miles an hour. Perhaps the snow showers not as intense across the
:24:24. > :24:28.northern hills. Storm Conor follows Storm Barbara. Heading towards us on
:24:29. > :24:33.Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day. Outbreaks of rain and heavy
:24:34. > :24:36.snow. As we look ahead, we are looking at very strong winds in the
:24:37. > :24:41.far north of the country. The record to beat in terms of the milder air
:24:42. > :24:45.is 15.6 Celsius per litre in Midlothian. That is for Christmas
:24:46. > :24:49.Day. There is a real chance we could make that record. Regardless, it
:24:50. > :24:52.will be one of the mildest Christmas is on record as temperatures reach
:24:53. > :24:55.will be one of the mildest Christmas 14 to 15 Celsius in Aberdeenshire.
:24:56. > :25:00.Across the West, strong winds. Yellow weather warnings in place.
:25:01. > :25:04.Looking ahead to Boxing Day, it is going to be very windy for the far
:25:05. > :25:11.north and the bee prepared warnings are in place for the Northern Isles.
:25:12. > :25:15.The showers will slowly ease through the day. More settled conditions for
:25:16. > :25:21.the and Boxing Day and for the next few days after that. Still Storm
:25:22. > :25:27.stormy weather to come. Storm Conor on the way. Strong winds overnight
:25:28. > :25:29.tonight. Keep up-to-date through the weekend.
:25:30. > :25:41.We're back with the late news and weather at 10:30.
:25:42. > :25:43.But this is the final full-length editiion
:25:44. > :25:46.We'll have shorter bulletins throughout the holidays.
:25:47. > :25:48.From everyone on the programme, right across the country,
:25:49. > :25:52.We'll leave you with some images as Scotland prepares
