:03:56. > :03:59.They have had the upset of being shut in but they are surviving and

:04:00. > :04:00.have coped very well. Extra bio-security measures might be

:04:01. > :04:02.necessary, with additional feed I think it's been probably

:04:03. > :04:08.as difficult as I expected, but more than 50% of the UK eggs

:04:09. > :04:13.produced are free-range eggs, so we have to protect

:04:14. > :04:14.consumer demand, Normally, if you were standing,

:04:15. > :04:24.the hens would be coming and coming from the shed through these hatches,

:04:25. > :04:26.giving them a free range Also things like this to try to keep

:04:27. > :04:37.them stimulated. Since this ban has been introduced,

:04:49. > :04:49.supermarkets. Being housed indoors,

:04:50. > :04:51.consumers have had to be told that they are no longer

:04:52. > :04:53.technically free-range. The preventions we all have in place

:04:54. > :04:57.expire on the 30th of April. We are looking now at

:04:58. > :05:00.the populations of wild birds to see These birds will now be reintroduced

:05:01. > :05:10.gradually to the outside world. Ministers will decide

:05:11. > :05:12.whether the extra bio-security This will be decided in the coming

:05:13. > :05:21.weeks. Four youths, who tied a metal ladder

:05:22. > :05:24.to railway tracks in West Lothian, Officers said the consequences

:05:25. > :05:29.could have been "catastrophic" when an Edinburgh train ran over it

:05:30. > :05:33.at Livingston North station. The youths remained

:05:34. > :05:35.at the scene to watch, A lorry driver had a narrow escape,

:05:36. > :05:43.after crashing in darkness, only feet from the edge of

:05:44. > :05:46.Loch Lomond. The vehicle went down

:05:47. > :05:49.the embankment on the A82 south of Arrochar in the early hours

:05:50. > :05:53.of Friday morning. Police Scotland said

:05:54. > :05:56.the driver was not injured, but one lane of the road has been

:05:57. > :06:03.closed, causing major tailbacks. The police have warned the public

:06:07. > :06:09.to Scotland's open prison. 54-year-old Frederick Boyd had been

:06:10. > :06:12.on home leave in Glasgow He's believed to have

:06:13. > :06:17.connections to the Clydebank, The Scottish cyclist,

:06:18. > :06:25.Katie Archibald, has won gold at the Track Cycling World

:06:26. > :06:28.Championships in Hong Kong. Her victory in the women's omnium

:06:33. > :06:36.succeeds Laura Kenny Katie was part of the winning

:06:37. > :06:41.Olympic team in Rio, but she admits that individual

:06:42. > :06:53.success was a different feeling. It is odd to celebrate by yourself

:06:54. > :07:01.and it feels lonely but looking for to going back to the Hotel... I am

:07:02. > :07:04.feeling pain primarily, but I am happy to have pulled it off. That

:07:05. > :07:10.was a bumpy race and I thought I had lost it in the middle. Chasing and

:07:11. > :07:15.chasing and being attacked... I got back on in the end and pulled it out

:07:16. > :07:22.of the bag. Let's see what we can expect from

:07:45. > :07:50.while from the north-west. Touching gale force across the Western Isles,

:07:51. > :07:56.towards Orkney and perhaps some coasts. Viewers showers are crossed

:07:57. > :08:01.eastern and southern, and three or five Celsius for most of us, but in

:08:02. > :08:06.some sheltered clearer parts, around freezing. Into tomorrow, and another

:08:07. > :08:10.day of sunshine and showers. Heaviest and most frequent across

:08:11. > :08:14.the North and the Northern Isles, during tomorrow morning. Being

:08:15. > :08:16.the North and the Northern Isles, driven in fresh to strong

:08:17. > :08:20.north-westerly winds, and these will gradually ease through the day.

:08:21. > :08:24.Tomorrow afternoon in more detail, across much of southern, central and

:08:25. > :08:29.eastern Scotland, expect dry and bright weather with sunshine until

:08:30. > :08:35.the afternoon, and a scattering of showers. In the sheltered east, not

:08:36. > :08:38.too bad in the sunshine. Across much of the North, quite a chilly feel

:08:39. > :08:43.with brisk winds, temperatures struggling. Some of these showers
