:00:13. > :00:14.There's confusion tonight at Rangers.

:00:15. > :00:16.Manager Mark Warburton has said he remains in post,

:00:17. > :00:18.despite the club saying they've accepted his resignation.

:00:19. > :00:20.The club are set to play Morton in the Scottish Cup

:00:21. > :00:22.on Sunday, after a number of disappointing results.

:00:23. > :00:32.Our chief football reporter Chris McLaughlin has the details.

:00:33. > :00:39.This is it say police. In the past hour, Rangers released a statement

:00:40. > :00:42.saying Rangers has accepted the resignation of manager Mike

:00:43. > :00:47.Warburton, the assistant manager and the head of recruitment. It goes on

:00:48. > :00:51.to explain that all three were notified that their resignations

:00:52. > :00:56.were accepted after the club agreed to waive a buyout clause. Now, it

:00:57. > :01:00.gets bizarre because the Rangers' manager spoke to me in the past half

:01:01. > :01:06.an hour and said that this statement is news to him and as far as he is

:01:07. > :01:11.concerned, he has not resigned as the manager. Now, his time as both

:01:12. > :01:15.at Ibrox has not been happy in recent weeks. The results have not

:01:16. > :01:19.been good. This looks as though it has been coming but this looks to be

:01:20. > :01:24.something of a mess. The one thing that is clear is that Mike

:01:25. > :01:25.Warburton's time in charge of Rangers is over.

:01:26. > :01:28.ScottishPower has become the latest of the big six energy companies

:01:29. > :01:32.It will mean an increase of nearly 11% for electricity

:01:33. > :01:37.The price rises come into effect at the end of March.

:01:38. > :01:40.But this morning, Scottish Gas said it was freezing prices until August.

:01:41. > :01:45.From dawn till dusk and right through the night,

:01:46. > :01:50.the energy that powers Scotland and on which we all depend,

:01:51. > :01:53.the news that ScottishPower will soon raise its prices for

:01:54. > :01:56.electricity and gas will not be welcomed.

:01:57. > :01:59.The company says it has been absorbing higher external costs

:02:00. > :02:04.for months and now it is passing them on to its customers.

:02:05. > :02:07.Something to think about next time they stick on the kettle.

:02:08. > :02:10.About 1.1 million of them will pay more.

:02:11. > :02:15.On average, 10.8% for electricity and 4.7% for gas

:02:16. > :02:20.and those on dual fuel deals will see rises of 7.8%.

:02:21. > :02:23.The company says two thirds of customers will not be affected

:02:24. > :02:26.because they are already on cheaper fixed-price deals.

:02:27. > :02:37.The energy companies buy gas and electricity

:02:38. > :02:41.wholesale in advance and in theory customer bills should reflect lower

:02:42. > :02:47.We saw big falls in the price of wholesale energy

:02:48. > :02:50.through 2014 and 2015 that were probably not reflected

:02:51. > :02:53.particularly in the big six standard tariffs

:02:54. > :03:02.as opposed to the best deals in the market.

:03:03. > :03:04.There was much more activity with them.

:03:05. > :03:08.We do see increases in non-energy charges, so charges for the grid,

:03:09. > :03:11.wires and renewable subsidies and so on

:03:12. > :03:14.and they are features of stopping prices falling so far.

:03:15. > :03:16.With npower also raising prices recently,

:03:17. > :03:24.their customers may feel the chill.

:03:25. > :03:28.We know a third of households in Scotland

:03:29. > :03:40.It is not cheap to heat your home any more

:03:41. > :03:43.and any increase in the price will be a worry for people.

:03:44. > :03:45.Energy price rises can seem particularly cruel

:03:46. > :03:50.says it is freezing its prices until August.

:03:51. > :03:54.John McManus, Reporting Scotland, Edinburgh.

:03:55. > :03:56.Andy Murray's management team have expressed concern

:03:57. > :03:59.about the prices that tickets for his charity event at the Hydro

:04:00. > :04:05.Tickets for his exhibition match are being sold

:04:06. > :04:08.for up to ten times their face value on reseller sites.

:04:09. > :04:11.Yesterday in London, the man himself was there

:04:12. > :04:22.It's an exhibition match for charity, with Roger Federer.

:04:23. > :04:25.one of the selling points was the ticket price.

:04:26. > :04:27.10,800 tickets will go on sale today,

:04:28. > :04:29.with over half of all of those seats just ?25,

:04:30. > :04:31.making the event very accessible for all.

:04:32. > :04:32.But today those tickets were selling

:04:33. > :04:37.The digital age makes it more of a problem,

:04:38. > :04:40.because professional touts use computer programmes

:04:41. > :04:43.to buy up large numbers of tickets

:04:44. > :04:46.to sports and entertainment events.

:04:47. > :04:52.I have not done it and I don't think I ever would.

:04:53. > :04:54.I think it is a bit unfair on the artist

:04:55. > :04:58.and it is just some secondary guy making a big buck.

:04:59. > :05:01.I missed out on some and I had a look

:05:02. > :05:03.and thought I cannot afford that.

:05:04. > :05:14.If there is a band that you want to see, I will have a look.

:05:15. > :05:19.we will pay whatever is left in our wallet.

:05:20. > :05:22.Artists like Adele and Elton John have both come out

:05:23. > :05:23.against the websites that sell at inflated prices.

:05:24. > :05:26.Elton John said he would rather have empty seats.

:05:27. > :05:27.The resale of football tickets is banned.

:05:28. > :05:30.But the reselling of live music tickets is not.

:05:31. > :05:35.It is a very complex issue, it would be nice if the government

:05:36. > :05:37.would take some legislation against it,

:05:38. > :05:44.but I don't think that will happen.

:05:45. > :05:49.if the public just voted with their feet and just said,

:05:50. > :05:51.we're not paying the inflated prices,

:05:52. > :05:52.we will definitely not buy secondary tickets

:05:53. > :05:56.at five times over the face value, we will not go to the gig.

:05:57. > :06:00.The Fanfare Alliance, which campaigns for better laws,

:06:01. > :06:02.says wait until nearer the date

:06:03. > :06:08.It's another big weekend of sport,

:06:09. > :06:10.and in rugby it's the Six Nations round two.

:06:11. > :06:12.Scotland are playing their first away match

:06:13. > :06:16.of this year's competition against France.

:06:17. > :06:18.Our sports reporter David Currie is in Paris

:06:19. > :06:20.to look ahead to Sunday's big game.

:06:21. > :06:27.Take a moment to savour the city of love.

:06:28. > :06:34.This is one of the city's most famous

:06:35. > :06:36.and controversial buildings, it is the Pompidou Centre

:06:37. > :06:41.and this year it elebrates its 40th anniversary.

:06:42. > :06:43.And in all the time that this building has been open,

:06:44. > :06:52.Scotland have only won twice in Paris.

:06:53. > :06:53.It is still Scotland with the chance!

:06:54. > :06:58.Every time we go across, we are always written off.

:06:59. > :07:01.We were always playing second fiddle.

:07:02. > :07:09.We went across there and I always remember, a bright sunny day

:07:10. > :07:11.everyone thought we were just there for cannon fodder.

:07:12. > :07:14.That's a long time and hopefully that

:07:15. > :07:17.Scotland beat the French last year at Murrayfield.

:07:18. > :07:19.Getting the better of them on their home soil

:07:20. > :07:25.I believe that this is the game will set the Six Nations alight.

:07:26. > :07:31.We have seen and heard the noises coming out of their camp.

:07:32. > :07:48.La vie, or life, is certainly rosy for these Scottish rugby fans.

:07:49. > :07:50.Travelling hopefully and looking for another famous win.

:07:51. > :07:53.It keeps us in line for the Grand Slam.

:07:54. > :07:55.Not counting our cards yet, but hopeful.

:07:56. > :08:01.Confidence is high, lot of skill level, really exciting times.

:08:02. > :08:04.Even a Frenchman with a heart of stone

:08:05. > :08:16.is open to the romantic possibility of another Scottish win.

:08:17. > :08:37.Well, it's time for the weather outlook for tonight and tomorrow.

:08:38. > :08:44.Thank you. Good evening. It is a cold one tonight and for some,

:08:45. > :08:48.wintry. There is a mate of this year will be aware warning in force

:08:49. > :08:53.covering the borders, Lothian and the capital. We have seen some rain

:08:54. > :08:55.and snow moving in overnight. Some accumulations not only on high

:08:56. > :08:58.ground but occasionally lower accumulations not only on high

:08:59. > :09:02.levels. Elsewhere largely dry but it will be cold, a cold start to

:09:03. > :09:07.tomorrow. Across the south east, fairly miserable for most. Cloudy,

:09:08. > :09:11.wait, these low-level rising into the hills but expect some sleet to

:09:12. > :09:15.lower levels at times. Across the UK as a whole, fairly cloudy and cold.

:09:16. > :09:28.This little troughs bringing some outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow

:09:29. > :09:31.across parts of the North of England, into the Midlands. The best

:09:32. > :09:34.of the weather across the West of Scotland, Northern Ireland as well.

:09:35. > :09:36.And it will be a cold day. Add on a strong north-easterly, a better feel

:09:37. > :09:38.through the central belt and sites. Brightest in the north-west. Into

:09:39. > :09:40.the evening, those outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow slowly edging

:09:41. > :09:42.away as westwards into Lanarkshire, Stirlingshire and Moray as well. For

:09:43. > :09:46.Sunday, high pressure still in charge. Size of the border, still

:09:47. > :09:48.cloudy with outbreak of rain and food. For us, cloudy, largely dry.

:09:49. > :09:51.Wintry showers at times and cold. From everyone on the late team

:09:52. > :09:56.here in Glasgow
