:01:11. > :01:19.They close this afternoon. We have the numbers. A a few days before we

:01:24. > :01:28.the 8th of June will have the choice of voting for someone from the SNP,

:01:29. > :01:34.Lib Dems, Tory and Labour. They stand in all 50 90s. We have spoken

:01:43. > :01:44.buy standing in eight more. -- Greens is standing in very few.

:02:31. > :02:32.A lawyer who handled Craig Whyte's takeover of Rangers in 2011

:02:33. > :02:37.has told a court that the club's owners were desperate to get

:02:38. > :02:40.Gary Withey's comments came as he gave evidence

:02:41. > :02:43.in the trial of Mr Whyte, who's accused of acquiring

:02:44. > :02:50.Our correspondent David Henderson reports.

:02:51. > :02:52.Gary Withey, the London lawyer at the heart

:02:53. > :02:57.He was back in court today, giving evidence for a second day.

:02:58. > :03:03.Six years ago, his client was a company run by Craig Whyte,

:03:04. > :03:10.which launched a takeover bid for the Ibrox club.

:03:11. > :03:12.Mr Whyte is on trial for fraud and accused of funding

:03:13. > :03:15.most of the deal with the club's season tickets.

:03:16. > :03:16.Rangers was being sold by the Murray Group,

:03:17. > :03:19.controlled by this man, Sir David Murray, and Mr Withey told

:03:20. > :03:24.the jury he came under pressure to get the deal done.

:03:25. > :03:27.One Murray Group director, he said, wanted reassured that this didn't

:03:28. > :03:32.turn into an almighty mess and embarrass everyone.

:03:33. > :03:35.Mr Withey said the sellers didn't ask how Craig Whyte's team

:03:36. > :03:39.They didn't seem to care, he claimed.

:03:40. > :03:43.This is the only deal I know where the vendor, the seller,

:03:44. > :03:49.He said, I have never been pushed so hard on any deal.

:03:50. > :03:53.They were desperate to get the deal over the line.

:03:54. > :03:56.Mr Withey said he was repeatedly asked for assurances that

:03:57. > :03:59.Craig Whyte had the money to buy Rangers.

:04:00. > :04:05.If I didn't trust my client, I would have walked away.

:04:06. > :04:07.But the prosecution claims the deal was mostly funded

:04:08. > :04:19.through the sale of Rangers' season tickets to accompany.

:04:20. > :04:20.-- tickets to a company called Ticketus.

:04:21. > :04:23.The prosecutor asked Gary Withey, were steps taken to conceal it?

:04:24. > :04:29.Gary replied, I was told that Ticketus must not be shown.

:04:30. > :04:32.Mr Withey told the defence advocate it was impossible to keep

:04:33. > :04:37.the involvement of Ticketus a secret when so many people were involved.
