:00:36. > :00:39.His mother Julie and brother Samuel tried to help

:00:40. > :00:45.him while others witnessed the horrific events.

:00:46. > :00:47.The whole beach was covered in people, police were

:00:48. > :00:53.everywhere. There was something in the water.

:00:54. > :01:00.As flowers were laid, more details have emerged about the

:01:01. > :01:03.heroic actions that tried to save those in difficulty.

:01:04. > :01:07.On and off duty police officers were among those who

:01:08. > :01:14.I would like to pay tribute to Lucas's

:01:15. > :01:17.brother Samuel who very bravely also entered

:01:18. > :01:23.the water in an attempt to rescue his mother and his brother.

:01:24. > :01:25.We are all very thankful Samuel is making steady

:01:26. > :01:32.Like today, yesterday's weather had been reasonable although the water

:01:33. > :01:36.This Coast Guard told me it's important people understand the

:01:37. > :01:43.It's easy to be tricked into thinking that it is safer

:01:44. > :01:50.Warm weather especially, if we have had a period of wind that has

:01:51. > :01:54.brought the seas up, it lulls people into a false sense

:01:55. > :01:57.of security but the waves are just as powerful

:01:58. > :02:02.whether it is sunny or dark and grey.

:02:03. > :02:05.This is a tragedy witnessed by many in one of the most

:02:06. > :02:08.The loss of a mother and child will affect

:02:09. > :02:12.those who knew them and those who saw them die.

:03:44. > :03:46.athletes have also played their part in that tally as well. Scottish

:03:47. > :04:01.athletes winning 13 medals out here in Rio.

:05:38. > :05:42.have a warm front out east. In between the two, an injection of

:05:43. > :05:46.warmth, temperatures into the mid-20s. Summer cloud with outbreaks

:05:47. > :05:49.of rain through Wales and the far south-west but behind that front for

:05:50. > :05:55.Northern Ireland and for us here in Scotland, breaking up to the

:05:56. > :05:59.afternoon. Misty and murky and wet for the Northern Isles. Tuesday

:06:00. > :06:02.brings another weather front and yet more wet weather pushing its way

:06:03. > :06:05.through Northern Ireland and to us here in Scotland. To the south of

:06:06. > :06:13.that weather front, another injection of warmth from the neocons

:06:18. > :06:20.us, it's going to be cloudy, it will be fairly wet on Tuesday as well.
