:00:00. > :00:13.A Glasgow vet who was caught up in Presdent Trump's American flight

:00:14. > :00:16.ban has learned a crowdfunding appeal has raised enough to pay

:00:17. > :00:24.Hamaseh Tayari was told she could not fly from Costa Rica

:00:25. > :00:27.via New York as she travels with an Iranian passport.

:00:28. > :00:37.Half-day holiday in the paradise of Costa Rica, Hamaseh Tayari and her

:00:38. > :00:42.boyfriend found themselves caught up in a nightmare because she travels

:00:43. > :00:47.on and uranium passport. We arrived at the airport and they were doing

:00:48. > :00:51.the checking for others to fly to New York and then from there to

:00:52. > :01:03.Glasgow. The people at the check-in told me it was not allowed. I was

:01:04. > :01:07.really upset, I'm still upset. And a little bit afraid. Hamaseh Tayari is

:01:08. > :01:12.a vet and a specialist animal anaesthetist. As well as completing

:01:13. > :01:17.postdoctoral studies at Glasgow, she has been teaching there. And makes a

:01:18. > :01:23.lot of us feel very ashamed of behalf of America, because most of

:01:24. > :01:28.us don't want to keep anyone out, especially well meaning people who

:01:29. > :01:32.are just taking their way the world. The universities say they will give

:01:33. > :01:37.her all the support they can. We will do all we can it supports

:01:38. > :01:42.Hamaseh Tayari as she travels from her holiday and any practical

:01:43. > :01:45.support we can offer. From my point of view, it is also about supporting

:01:46. > :01:49.all of our staff and students if they are caught up in situations

:01:50. > :01:55.like this, because the university is about the freedom of movement of

:01:56. > :01:57.people, ideas and intellect. Donald Trump says his travel by will keep

:01:58. > :02:00.terrorists out of the United States, Trump says his travel by will keep

:02:01. > :02:05.though the order has now been suspended by a US judge. Meanwhile,

:02:06. > :02:08.an online appeal set up last night raised all the money to pay for new

:02:09. > :02:10.flights home for Hamaseh Tayari and her partner.

:02:11. > :02:13.A ceremony has been held to mark the centenary

:02:14. > :02:19.32 men died when the boilers of a submarine blew up.

:02:20. > :02:22.The incident was one of the first submarine rescues.

:02:23. > :02:33.Reevel Alderson reports from Faslane.

:02:34. > :02:43.Colours lowered in Faslane's Cemetery to commemorate a submarine

:02:44. > :02:48.disaster a century ago. This steam fired submarine sank in 50 feet of

:02:49. > :02:53.water in the Gareloch when the engine room was flooded, killing 32

:02:54. > :02:58.men. Among those who died was this man whose great-grandchildren were

:02:59. > :03:04.at the ceremony. My grandmother was 15 and they were pretty much

:03:05. > :03:08.penniless. When they were down there, my grandmother met my

:03:09. > :03:11.grandfather who was also in the Navy and that led to the two of us here,

:03:12. > :03:18.so there's a direct link between us being here and the submarine, in a

:03:19. > :03:21.way. The men who died our board and the cemetery maintained by the

:03:22. > :03:26.Commonwealth War commission. Among them were six men from the shipyard

:03:27. > :03:31.and they were due to hand the vessel over to the Navy. The ceremony was

:03:32. > :03:37.also a celebration of an incredible rescue of a further 48 men who were

:03:38. > :03:41.trapped for 57 hours on the sea bed before being freed. They kept their

:03:42. > :03:45.cool down there. They were careful to conserve air and knew it was

:03:46. > :03:49.running out, but they knew how to minimise the amount of oxygen they

:03:50. > :03:53.used. They took all the right precautions for the people inside as

:03:54. > :03:57.well as outside and they thought about it hard. The summary was

:03:58. > :04:00.recommissioned and since then, the Royal Navy has never given a vessel

:04:01. > :04:03.recommissioned and since then, the is unlucky number 13.

:04:04. > :04:06.Football, and Celtic have broken a 50-year-old club record today.

:04:07. > :04:08.Their 4-0 Premiership win over Hearts surpassed the previous

:04:09. > :04:11.that was established by the legendary Lisbon Lions.

:04:12. > :04:12.Our senior football reporter Chris McLaughlin

:04:13. > :04:31.It is an achievement that should not be underestimated, especially given

:04:32. > :04:37.the side who set the record half a century ago. The famous Lisbon

:04:38. > :04:42.Lions, led by the manner with the standard named after him and the

:04:43. > :04:46.statue also. Brendan Rodgers not quite up there yet, but he has

:04:47. > :04:51.brought the feel-good factor back to this club. He says he does not

:04:52. > :04:55.expect this site to go the whole season unbeaten, be given today's

:04:56. > :04:56.showing, it is difficult to see just who will stop them.

:04:57. > :04:59.The organisers of the Great Scottish Run half-marathon have been out

:05:00. > :05:00.measuring the distance of the course.

:05:01. > :05:03.Some runners in last year's event thought the course was too short.

:05:04. > :05:05.It also raised a question mark over the Olympian,

:05:06. > :05:23.It's 530 in the morning and we are outside Pollok country Park and the

:05:24. > :05:27.organisers of this Run were out early this morning measuring the

:05:28. > :05:31.course accompanied by police riders clearing the road ahead of them.

:05:32. > :05:35.Why? Well, many of the runners who took part last year said they

:05:36. > :05:40.thought the cause was shorter than usual, but 200 metres shorter than

:05:41. > :05:45.the 13.1 mile for the half marathon it is supposed to be. For many of

:05:46. > :05:49.the thousands who took part, that distance probably won't make much

:05:50. > :05:54.difference, but for a professional runner, it could be crucial, not

:05:55. > :06:01.least Callum Hawkins, the Scot who won last year's event and set a new

:06:02. > :06:04.record as well. The cause is being measured, the organisers behind the

:06:05. > :06:06.run said they will release results tomorrow.

:06:07. > :06:09.In Bowls, it's a fifth world title for Scotlands Paul Foster.

:06:10. > :06:11.The man from Troon claimed the top prize at the world

:06:12. > :06:13.indoor Championship, beating England's Greg Harlow

:06:14. > :06:20.Let's get the weather for this evening and the start of the week -

:06:21. > :06:32.It's been a lovely day of weather for most, with spells of sunshine

:06:33. > :06:37.for many. Tonight though, those clear skies Meaney will be cold and

:06:38. > :06:41.frosty. South of the border, pretty wet. But the low pressure was

:06:42. > :06:46.pulling away. A South easily will introduce a moist air for Scotland

:06:47. > :06:52.overnight and could lead to fog. The many, cold and frosty and the cold

:06:53. > :06:55.start to Monday morning. The fog moving to the Lowlands and it could

:06:56. > :07:00.be stubborn to clear. Mild on the West Coast and across the aisles.

:07:01. > :07:03.Through Monday, the best of the sunshine across northern parts of

:07:04. > :07:10.Thailand and Grampian. Elsewhere, cloudy. Any fog patches could be

:07:11. > :07:14.stubborn. South of the border, and it try a weather across the eastern

:07:15. > :07:21.counties of England and through the Midlands, Wales and the South, rain.

:07:22. > :07:28.Same for Northern Ireland. Best of the sunshine tomorrow. Cloud imports

:07:29. > :07:33.of Ayrshire, Dumfries Galloway. Elsewhere, largely dry. Brightening

:07:34. > :07:41.up for most. It will be cold, especially where there is no. Quite

:07:42. > :07:44.windy on the West Coast. Monday night, cloud builds and the rain

:07:45. > :07:53.arrives. Tuesday morning, pretty soggy. Lunchtime, most of it will

:07:54. > :07:54.have gone, dryer, still cloudy but milder with temperatures opening --

:07:55. > :07:57.have gone, dryer, still cloudy but approach in double figures.

:07:58. > :08:01.Our next update's just after the ten o'clock news.

:08:02. > :08:09.Until then, from everyone on the team here in Glasgow, enjoy
