:00:00. > :00:00.organisers. And the rest of the day's sports news, including a host

:00:00. > :00:15.of managers on the move, in 15 minutes after the papers.

:00:16. > :00:18.Hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the papers will be bringing

:00:19. > :00:21.us tomorrow. With me are the barrister Sophia Cannon and Torcuil

:00:22. > :00:27.Crichton, Westminster editor at The Daily Record. Tomorrow's front pages

:00:28. > :00:30.look like this. The Telegraph says senior figures in the health service

:00:31. > :00:39.are claiming thousands in expense claims for fine dining, taxi fares

:00:40. > :00:42.and hotels. And there's an image taken from the video released by

:00:43. > :00:47.militants of the kidnapped girls in Nigeria. The Express says a brisk

:00:48. > :00:50.20`minute stroll a few times a week is all that's needed to tackle high

:00:51. > :00:53.blood pressure. And it covers the comments of Richard Madeley and Judy

:00:54. > :00:58.Finnigan, who say they've agreed to an assisted death pact if one of

:00:59. > :01:01.them falls seriously ill. The Metro covers the story of a blogger who

:01:02. > :01:06.found the police on his doorstep after he mocked UKIP on Twitter. The

:01:07. > :01:09.Guardian says the Conservative Party has recorded its first poll lead in

:01:10. > :01:14.two years as Labour's support apparently drains away. And it also

:01:15. > :01:19.carries an image of those missing girls in Nigeria. The Mail says the

:01:20. > :01:27.NHS is pushing for mothers who are having a second child to give birth

:01:28. > :01:39.at home. And Rolf Harris is pictured outside court at his trial. We start

:01:40. > :01:46.with the Guardian. Nigerian roubles parade liberated girls in propaganda

:01:47. > :01:49.video. `` roubles. Some measure of solace for the families of some of

:01:50. > :01:54.these girls, because at least they can see that they may be alive?

:01:55. > :01:57.Indeed. We don't know when this was taken. I know some of the players

:01:58. > :02:04.were showing the pixelated version of the video and do not show their

:02:05. > :02:08.faces because of that. But this shows the Battle of social media

:02:09. > :02:16.being played out here with a terrorist backdrop. 28 days of

:02:17. > :02:20.terror for these girls is juxtaposed against the criticism of the

:02:21. > :02:24.Nigerian government. The first criticism of the Nigerian government

:02:25. > :02:30.was that they had not bought Vista media attention, not that they had

:02:31. > :02:35.not located the girls. # bring back our girls has helped galvanise

:02:36. > :02:40.global opinion on this. And now, of course, the dilemma for the Nigerian

:02:41. > :02:43.authorities is, should they listen Boko Haram, who are saying they

:02:44. > :02:47.would be willing to release some of these girls in exchange for their

:02:48. > :02:53.and prisoners? Well, these images, chilling as they are, are far more

:02:54. > :02:56.powerful than any social media campaign. It is playing to your

:02:57. > :03:03.deepest emotions with these girls being held hostage in the Bush by

:03:04. > :03:06.armed men who see their lives as valuable. These were the lucky

:03:07. > :03:11.girls, the girls in schools who were getting an education in Nigeria. And

:03:12. > :03:15.because of religion or because of the school they went to, they were

:03:16. > :03:19.snatched away a month ago and this is our first sight of them. Chilling

:03:20. > :03:24.is the only word you can use to describe it, and a chilling message

:03:25. > :03:27.as well from the leader of Boko Haram, who is using them as a

:03:28. > :03:32.bargaining tool. He says, you talking about these girls, we will

:03:33. > :03:38.never release them until you release our brothers who are being held by

:03:39. > :03:46.the Nigerian government. So the game has moved on. They have become

:03:47. > :03:51.bargaining chips now. And there is gender`based violence in this part

:03:52. > :03:56.of northern Nigeria. Women have been pawns in the war going on there for

:03:57. > :04:03.a good number of years. Torcuil, the Guardian. Tories on top as Labour

:04:04. > :04:07.poll rating sinks to a four year low. What is going on? It is a bad

:04:08. > :04:13.day to be Ed Miliband, because for the first time in two years, ICM for

:04:14. > :04:30.the Guardian has the Conservatives ahead and Labour down to 31 points.

:04:31. > :04:33.And UKIP are picking up four points. This is not the only poll that has

:04:34. > :04:39.Labour behind today. There was an Ashcroft poll, and Lord Ashcroft is

:04:40. > :04:43.a Tory supporter who finances his own bowling. He had the Tories two

:04:44. > :04:48.points ahead. There is a Sun poll tonight which we have not seen, but

:04:49. > :04:51.I think it has Labour one point ahead. They are scrabbling in the

:04:52. > :04:57.low 30s. It does not look as if either dead or Dave `` aid or Dave

:04:58. > :05:04.are cutting through with the numbers they need. The big western, of

:05:05. > :05:07.course, is, if the Tories can squeeze UKIP, they will get a

:05:08. > :05:13.majority. But Labour needs to squeeze the Lib Dems, and it is not

:05:14. > :05:16.happening. In which case, are we looking at a hung parliament again?

:05:17. > :05:21.I hope not. The most disturbing thing we have had with coalition

:05:22. > :05:25.politics is seeing Nick and Dave in that garden, professing love for

:05:26. > :05:30.each other and knowing that we were going to be here for a fixed hung

:05:31. > :05:35.parliament. Look at the economy. It is doing well, according to a lot of

:05:36. > :05:40.people. Clive, the Labour Party has to look at itself and say, did we

:05:41. > :05:48.get the wrong brother here? Should it have been the battle of Dave and

:05:49. > :05:56.Dave? But how can the personality that is Ed Miliband lose this? The

:05:57. > :05:59.bad news for Ed Miliband is deep in the polling. It shows that yes, on

:06:00. > :06:04.leadership qualities, he is not cutting through. But staggeringly,

:06:05. > :06:09.for the Guardian poll, George Osborne, author of the omnishambles

:06:10. > :06:12.budget a few years ago, now has positive or better economic ratings.

:06:13. > :06:23.So on the economy, the Tories are coming through. Their message is

:06:24. > :06:29.that they repaired the economy, versus Ed's ideas. He has had more

:06:30. > :06:35.ideas today on the NHS. He promised energy price freezes, rent freezes.

:06:36. > :06:41.He says he is winning the battle of ideas. Is that enough? Ideas are all

:06:42. > :06:44.very well, but if you can look at the bottom line, which is inflation

:06:45. > :06:51.going down and interest rates staying low, the property market

:06:52. > :06:57.doing well, the Conservatives would point that as for them. The problem

:06:58. > :07:00.Labour has got at the moment is that they are looking at resentment

:07:01. > :07:09.politics. They are hoping that we will find something to hate.

:07:10. > :07:13.Everybody's house prices are rising, especially in the south. The

:07:14. > :07:19.issue is, do we want to go back to how it used to be, or can we trust

:07:20. > :07:24.the Tories? I don't think people trust David Cameron either. OK, he

:07:25. > :07:28.might have fixed the economy, but will he look after my interests for

:07:29. > :07:31.the next five years? That is the question Labour will be asking. Do

:07:32. > :07:36.you feel better off? Is he looking out for you? That is why they are

:07:37. > :07:42.painting the Tories as the party of the rich, the party who look after

:07:43. > :07:46.the elite, as opposed to Labour, who look after the NHS. Talking of the

:07:47. > :07:59.NHS, the Daily Telegraph has the scandal of NHS chief Hamas delete ``

:08:00. > :08:04.NHS chiefs' expenses. They were supposed to be the Chiefs in charge

:08:05. > :08:08.of winging down waste and shortages in the NHS. The highest individual

:08:09. > :08:12.bill was for Tom Kelsey, the national director for patients and

:08:13. > :08:19.information, who spent ?46,000 during the year, including more than

:08:20. > :08:25.?21,000 on hotels. This is when we have got people scrapping in the

:08:26. > :08:31.streets for cancer drugs. Lots of juicy details in this story. They

:08:32. > :08:37.will outrage people. A taxi fare from London to Preston, ?500. I

:08:38. > :08:43.think this is an inside job. We have got many facts here which are

:08:44. > :08:51.particularised so that we can get these receipts. For example, ?260

:08:52. > :08:57.journeys between London and Leeds on trains. But as the standard fare if

:08:58. > :09:01.you jump on a train that day. But these are NHS officials, not agents

:09:02. > :09:04.of shield. They don't have to jump on the next train to get somewhere.

:09:05. > :09:10.Surely they can plan and budget ahead. But an amazing amount of

:09:11. > :09:14.money is being spent. At the new NHS chief says there will be a ban on

:09:15. > :09:21.first`class trains. And he has taken a ?20,000 voluntary pay cut. His

:09:22. > :09:30.mantra to his staff ` think like a patient and act like a taxpayer.

:09:31. > :09:34.That sounds fair enough. It is not a mantra they use when claiming

:09:35. > :09:40.expenses in Westminster. Indeed. Let's go to the metro, Torcuil.

:09:41. > :09:47.Officers ask a blogger to remove a UKIP jibe. This is the funny story

:09:48. > :09:54.of a Green Party activist supporter, who was tweeting away to

:09:55. > :09:59.130 followers on Saturday, blogging about UKIP misses. He examined ten

:10:00. > :10:04.UKIP policies and raised questions about them. A UKIP councillor

:10:05. > :10:08.complained to the police. On Saturday night, knock on the door.

:10:09. > :10:14.The police came and said... That is bizarre. They did not say to take

:10:15. > :10:19.them down, they just asked if he had put them up. He said yes. They have

:10:20. > :10:28.been retweeted since, and his followers have gone up to 1400. So

:10:29. > :10:38.he is now a Twitter sensation, which is probably worse news for UKIP than

:10:39. > :10:44.if they had not complained at all. It was not illegal, but the police

:10:45. > :10:48.had to follow up the complaint? They have to follow up a crime. But it

:10:49. > :10:53.wasn't a crime, he didn't do anything? Again, we are not sure

:10:54. > :10:56.election rules have been broken but things have to be investigated. If

:10:57. > :11:01.they don't, that's the worst thing, if it's seen that certain parties

:11:02. > :11:06.can pick up the phone and then someone knocks on the door... The

:11:07. > :11:13.small end of a big wedge would have started with cash for peerages,

:11:14. > :11:16.remember ?1 million being spent on a police investigation to see whether

:11:17. > :11:21.Tony Blair had been selling peerages. It's parties and

:11:22. > :11:26.politicians using the police as a proxy to attack their opponents.

:11:27. > :11:30.Police can caught between a rock and a hard place, dismissing it as a

:11:31. > :11:34.nuisance complaint and they get hung, they go and knock on

:11:35. > :11:38.somebody's door. What is the election law that may have been

:11:39. > :11:46.contravened then? Is it clear what that is? I'm not sure. Didn't say

:11:47. > :11:51.he'd broken any law. They may as well just turn up and say hello.

:11:52. > :11:55.Broadcasters do certain things at certain times, but this is the

:11:56. > :11:58.equalisation of broadcasting that people can say what they wantny now

:11:59. > :12:03.in their own format and in this forum and it's the police now who're

:12:04. > :12:09.having to police and they don't know the law and neither do we. It's a

:12:10. > :12:13.tricky one, definitely. Thank you both, see you in an hours' time.

:12:14. > :12:17.Many thanks. Stay with us here on BBC News, because at the top of the

:12:18. > :12:22.hours ago we'll have much more on that new video showing some of the

:12:23. > :12:25.hundreds of schoolgirls abducted in Nigeria.

:12:26. > :12:32.Coming up, it's time for Sportsday.
