:00:00. > :00:00.victory. Coming up, it was attacked at Cannes
:00:00. > :00:00.Film Festival, but this Nicole Kidman save any grace as the
:00:00. > :00:17.Princess of Monaco? Hello and welcome to our look ahead
:00:18. > :00:20.to what the papers will be bringing us tomorrow. With me are Daily
:00:21. > :00:24.Mirror's Deputy Political Editor James Lyons and theologian and
:00:25. > :00:33.writer Vicky Beeching. Tomorrow's front pages.
:00:34. > :00:35.The Guardian reports on proposals for snap inspections by school
:00:36. > :00:40.inspectors and says all of Birmingham's schools could be taken
:00:41. > :00:46.over after the so`called Trojan horse plot.
:00:47. > :00:52.The Daily Telegraph leads with allegations of Islamic extremism in
:00:53. > :00:56.some Birmingham schools. The Times says Michael Gove has been
:00:57. > :01:01.told by David Cameron to launch dawn raids on schools.
:01:02. > :01:04.The Daily Mail claims patients are finding it harder to get a GP
:01:05. > :01:10.appointment as many surgeries shut appointment as many surgeries shut
:01:11. > :01:14.for half a day during the week. The Daily Mirror says a new search
:01:15. > :01:19.for the body of Keith Bennett could begin next week.
:01:20. > :01:22.And the Metro lives with a row over the 2022 World Cup, saying that some
:01:23. > :01:25.of the biggest sponsors have raised concerns over corruption
:01:26. > :01:29.allegations. It is a story that has been rumbling
:01:30. > :01:37.on for weeks and is still not over. This is the Trojan horse plot in
:01:38. > :01:42.schools for hardline Muslims to take over the running of those schools.
:01:43. > :01:50.Here is how the Guardian is covering this story. Number ten demands snap
:01:51. > :01:54.OFSTED inspections. The first suggestion is that schools should no
:01:55. > :01:59.longer get any warning that they are going to be inspected. This is not
:02:00. > :02:04.just Birmingham schools, but all schools. It is a good point. You can
:02:05. > :02:08.do a lot in a couple of days. You can rectify what you are teaching.
:02:09. > :02:13.You can schedule things you would not have otherwise. That is what
:02:14. > :02:15.they are saying. These schools were suddenly scheduling Christian
:02:16. > :02:24.lessons and lessons about Christianity. It was to prove they
:02:25. > :02:29.were having balance. To me it seems like a good safeguard. You do not
:02:30. > :02:38.know what is going to be in these reports yet. There are 21 schools
:02:39. > :02:40.and we have to go through all of that information. How damaging has
:02:41. > :02:45.this been for interfaith relationships? There are some people
:02:46. > :02:51.in the was a community who believe that they have been vilified in the
:02:52. > :02:54.way this has been conducted. `` was them.
:02:55. > :03:07.I am sure there are a lot of Muslims who feel ill used and some of the
:03:08. > :03:12.language that has gone around it. They are the victims of what has
:03:13. > :03:21.been going on just as much as the people. It is going to inflame
:03:22. > :03:24.tensions at a time when we have politicians running around trying to
:03:25. > :03:30.prevent tensions. That is very regrettable. These discussions sound
:03:31. > :03:36.like a great idea. I do not understand why they were not going
:03:37. > :03:45.on beforehand. Why aren't schools given notice? `` our schools. I am
:03:46. > :03:47.surprised they were able to fall the inspectors quite so well. Small
:03:48. > :04:00.children tend to blow things out. Spotchecks for Trojan horse plots.
:04:01. > :04:06.It would not just be full specific schools, it could apply for all
:04:07. > :04:09.schools. This suggestion is that perhaps all of the schools in
:04:10. > :04:14.Birmingham would be taken over in some sort of sweet by central
:04:15. > :04:22.government. Won't that allow schools to have even more autonomy from the
:04:23. > :04:26.local authority? What many people have been saying is this whole sorry
:04:27. > :04:34.situation highlights the problems with the government's current
:04:35. > :04:46.reforms. Just trying to give them a lot of autonomy and keep them in
:04:47. > :04:51.check in Whitehall. Teaching unions and `` they were saying you cannot
:04:52. > :04:58.do that. One man in Whitehall cannot keep everything in check. You are
:04:59. > :05:02.going to get problems like this. This is part of the problem that has
:05:03. > :05:10.led to a spat between two different departments. Who is responsible for
:05:11. > :05:14.schools and extremism in schools? It is crucial. Children are so easily
:05:15. > :05:17.shaped at that age. There are other things that are seen to be possibly
:05:18. > :05:25.lacking in the education system as well, including sex education that
:05:26. > :05:31.round people out to go into the world as fully fledged citizens. It
:05:32. > :05:34.is not enough to be clamping down on the core subjects, we have to be
:05:35. > :05:44.giving people the training they need to go into the world and face
:05:45. > :05:49.difference and diversity. I want to go ahead to the Times if that is OK.
:05:50. > :05:55.We will come back to the Telegraph in just a moment. Michael Gove told
:05:56. > :06:05.to launch dawn raids on schools. This is part of the same story. It
:06:06. > :06:13.has been said that we need to forget the politics. This is a labour MP
:06:14. > :06:15.who is the chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee. He says, forget
:06:16. > :06:20.the politics, we need to concentrate on what is happening with the
:06:21. > :06:30.schools and make sure that children are looked after. That is not going
:06:31. > :06:35.to happen. I do not think he is completely done with the politics or
:06:36. > :06:38.what is going on in Whitehall. The welfare of the pupils has been
:06:39. > :06:48.paramount. The fact they have been failed by people in
:06:49. > :06:51.Whitehall and have been failed for many years. There has
:06:52. > :07:04.reckoning for that. Then in 2010. Nothing was done. That is serious.
:07:05. > :07:12.`` they knew that in. Is it people who want to see a greater religious
:07:13. > :07:18.contents to the way the school is run? It is difficult to know what is
:07:19. > :07:26.extremism. I am a Christian but there are a lot of questions to make
:07:27. > :07:37.me feel embarrassed. `` Christians. I think these headlines can almost
:07:38. > :07:42.cause more problems in society by putting everybody into one camp.
:07:43. > :07:50.Extremism is such a minority. There are so many Muslims who feel
:07:51. > :07:53.targeted. Just the definition of extremism is part of the row between
:07:54. > :08:00.the Michael Gove and the reason they are. `` careers are made. I could
:08:01. > :08:06.Gove is very strong line and has pronounced views on what constitutes
:08:07. > :08:08.Islamist thought. Some of his critics suggest he has a problem
:08:09. > :08:15.that anybody who has got a bit, frankly. The Home Secretary focuses
:08:16. > :08:23.on people who maybe I direct threat. The wine has to be really clear. ``
:08:24. > :08:30.line. We need to make sure that not everybody is held under suspicion.
:08:31. > :08:38.But Oscar back to the Daily Telegraph. Welcome to Rio. Steven
:08:39. > :08:44.Gerrard going into his hotel. They have just arrived for the World
:08:45. > :08:57.Cup, which starts next Saturday against Italy. I shall be watching
:08:58. > :09:04.very closely. It just shows how expensive this tournament is. The
:09:05. > :09:10.security outside. There has been so much unrest and I completely see
:09:11. > :09:14.why. People are struggling to pay rent and are unhappy that millions
:09:15. > :09:18.of dollars have been spent by the government when people do not have
:09:19. > :09:22.access to hospitals or education. It is the most expensive World Cup
:09:23. > :09:30.ever. It is going to result in unrest. People do not have basic
:09:31. > :09:37.needs for living. You could say the same about the Olympics in Britain.
:09:38. > :09:40.Very true. As we look at this nation, we have to make sure our
:09:41. > :09:48.focus is on remembering the poverty and help people need. Some people
:09:49. > :09:50.say that it will bring a lot of money into the country because of
:09:51. > :09:57.everything that goes with the carnival, that comes with the World
:09:58. > :10:04.Cup. It leaves me a bit cold, because I am probably not the person
:10:05. > :10:07.to ask. There is a picture of a starving and Brazilian child with a
:10:08. > :10:15.knife and fork and a plate and he is waiting for food and a football
:10:16. > :10:22.comes. That was by a Brazilian street artist. Although it brings in
:10:23. > :10:25.the reason, when your basic food needs are not met, it is difficult
:10:26. > :10:31.to see your government's taxation go into stadiums. Let us look at
:10:32. > :10:38.another story to go with the World Cup. This is a much better story.
:10:39. > :10:43.Somebody deserves a pay rise. We are being told how to use the time
:10:44. > :10:49.between the two halves of a football match. There are a whole host of my
:10:50. > :10:58.time jobs you can do in the garden. `` makes time. It also makes sure
:10:59. > :11:06.you do not get behind a `` on maintenance. It is a good time to do
:11:07. > :11:12.it. Weeds and the seeds need daylight. There are all sorts of
:11:13. > :11:16.things you can do in the garden. This is going to be in the early
:11:17. > :11:20.hours of the morning. I might suggest that some people might have
:11:21. > :11:26.had a drink. Are we really want people doing this? You can use beer
:11:27. > :11:34.to kill the slugs in your garden. You can use a fume and its two
:11:35. > :11:38.accomplished tasks. `` a few minutes to accomplish. If you break down
:11:39. > :11:46.jobs like gardening into five`minute breaks you can get a lot done. Look
:11:47. > :11:51.on Twitter and you will know what we are talking about. Let us move on to
:11:52. > :11:58.the Daily Mail. One in four GP surgeries shut for half a day during
:11:59. > :12:06.the week. There must be doing something productive. People say
:12:07. > :12:10.during the week for part of the afternoon you cannot see your GP.
:12:11. > :12:13.Probably what we need to be doing is looking at it differently and
:12:14. > :12:21.celebrating our GPs more so that more people want the job. The system
:12:22. > :12:28.is straining under a rapidly changing population. If they need
:12:29. > :12:30.the extra hours to catch up on admin, it is not that they are
:12:31. > :12:38.slacking off, they are doing a different type of work. Some GPs
:12:39. > :12:41.refuse to cover antisocial hours. It is even longer than political
:12:42. > :12:48.journalists take for lunch and we like to pride ourselves on a good
:12:49. > :12:53.lunch. They have this treatment centres being set up where you can
:12:54. > :12:58.walk in. They have been closing in recent years. Part of that is
:12:59. > :13:04.because the reorganisation of the NHS, GPs get a say on what kind of
:13:05. > :13:10.provision is in the area. As a result of this, funding has been
:13:11. > :13:13.taken away from some of the walk in centres that could just treat you if
:13:14. > :13:22.you turned up. It is competition for the GPs. You have the knock`on
:13:23. > :13:28.problem that that causes. Let us go onto the Daily Express. Illegal
:13:29. > :13:36.immigrants moving into Britain. 250 million are already here according
:13:37. > :13:44.to experts. Only one in every 70 is suspected of being arrested. There
:13:45. > :13:53.is a Home Office figures. But without seeing them in their
:13:54. > :14:00.entirety, I am reluctant to comment. The immigration story is going to be
:14:01. > :14:07.large in the election. Absolutely. You have got a newly elected UKIP
:14:08. > :14:09.MEPs say that they do not have control. It frustrates me how they
:14:10. > :14:18.grab hold of this immigration stats and just scaremonger. Immigration is
:14:19. > :14:22.really healthy for any society. That is when UKIP take hold of it and
:14:23. > :14:31.apply it to all immigration. Let us move on to the Metro. This is to do
:14:32. > :14:38.with the bid to host the 2022 World Cup. More allegations of corruption.
:14:39. > :14:48.The people who spend hundreds of millions of pounds to provide
:14:49. > :14:54.sponsorship for the tournament, they say they want to know where the
:14:55. > :15:01.money is going. Is where all the allegations get serious. The likes
:15:02. > :15:05.of you and I complaining about it, FIFA are not going to listen. But
:15:06. > :15:11.when the sponsors do it, they will sit up. There is an investigation
:15:12. > :15:16.going on. A lawyer is heading it up and doing a thorough job. It is the
:15:17. > :15:24.commercial aspect of this that will apply pressure. I have a real
:15:25. > :15:29.passion for ethics to be taken seriously and justice to be restored
:15:30. > :15:33.in society. I love the fact that these massive corporations are
:15:34. > :15:36.saying that we need partners to have strong ethical standards. Using
:15:37. > :15:43.words like integrity and fair play. I hope we can hold that. We would
:15:44. > :15:53.like to carry on, but the music is playing. Nice to see you. Thank you.
:15:54. > :16:12.Coming up next, time for the film review.
:16:13. > :16:15.Welcome to the Film Review. What do we have?
