:00:19. > :00:24.Hello and welcome to our look ahead at what the papers will be bringing

:00:25. > :00:36.us tomorrow. With me is the brighter and political commentator Jo Philips

:00:37. > :00:50.and Nigel Nelson. Schoolboy to Jihadist is the headline on the

:00:51. > :00:55.Mail. The same story on the Sunday Telegraph of the two brothers who

:00:56. > :00:59.left a British suburb to fight in Syria. The Independent is talking

:01:00. > :01:07.about fighters from Syria who are now back in the UK. David Cameron is

:01:08. > :01:12.under fire for his inability to stop Jean`Claude Juncker from becoming

:01:13. > :01:24.chief of the European commission. Support for Ed Miliband in the

:01:25. > :01:27.Observer and apparently 17 million of us are due to receive

:01:28. > :01:38.compensation from airlines for delays over the past 15 years or so

:01:39. > :01:41.says the Sunday Express. Let's start with this one, the claim that 3000

:01:42. > :01:50.fighters from Syria are now back in the UK. That isn't good news, is

:01:51. > :02:03.it? Know and if you go to the actual story on the inside, it is quite

:02:04. > :02:08.bad. This is from and my six `` MI6 and a report is coming out from

:02:09. > :02:16.someone who has been tracking the Taliban and other fighters over the

:02:17. > :02:22.past ten years and worryingly, he says that the Syrian war is likely

:02:23. > :02:26.to be an incubator for a new generation of terrorism and more

:02:27. > :02:33.than 12,000 foreign fighters have gone to Syria since the war began.

:02:34. > :02:38.10,000 went to Afghanistan ten years ago so that is considerably more

:02:39. > :02:46.already in the last three years. It is quite grim. But Nigel, it is

:02:47. > :02:51.politically quite difficult to determine how to stop people

:02:52. > :02:55.travelling. If they are British citizens, they have the rights to

:02:56. > :02:58.come and go as they please and it depends what they have been up to

:02:59. > :03:04.when they have gone somewhere because they can be arrested coming

:03:05. > :03:08.back. I think this figure gives some kind of idea of the task that

:03:09. > :03:18.security services will be facing in monitoring 300 people which would be

:03:19. > :03:24.a mammoth task `` 3000. If you are looking at each one, the only thing

:03:25. > :03:28.they can do is try to find out which of those pose the greatest risk

:03:29. > :03:37.because all of them will pose some kind of a risk on the basis of where

:03:38. > :03:41.they have been. . This one talks about the schoolboy to the Jihadist

:03:42. > :03:50.and it is an image that is going to pop up quite a bit. There he is at

:03:51. > :03:54.school in 2010 and on the right he is apparently in this ISIS video

:03:55. > :03:57.which came out last week and this will lead to a lot of discussion

:03:58. > :04:06.about how happy and contented people can't seem to be. Who was it to got

:04:07. > :04:13.to him? What did he read or see or watch? Or was he in that state of

:04:14. > :04:17.teenage angst where they become very idealistic and passionate and

:04:18. > :04:22.something just takes them away. It could almost be an identical story

:04:23. > :04:28.about a kid who has gone from being happy and well balanced to becoming

:04:29. > :04:36.a victim of drug culture because, in a way, someone has helped him get

:04:37. > :04:40.there and enabled him to fulfil this desire that he has presumably got to

:04:41. > :04:50.go out and do something and become a fanatic like this.

:04:51. > :04:59.I think that it is the image on the front of the paper that shows a

:05:00. > :05:05.happy schoolboy, turned into a jihadist with an AK`47 around his

:05:06. > :05:10.neck. What made it happen? Social media? Peer pressure? Or is there

:05:11. > :05:16.somebody out there actively recruiting? If you are profiling or

:05:17. > :05:22.spotting people, you wouldn't say... He looks like a perfectly

:05:23. > :05:30.ordinary kid. The Sunday Times. Here is an intriguing story. MH370 pilot

:05:31. > :05:37.quotes chief suspect. Who is telling us this? This is the police over in

:05:38. > :05:43.Malaysia and what they are saying is, the trouble with this story is

:05:44. > :05:47.every little snippet is adding another clue. We still have no idea

:05:48. > :05:51.what happened. What they are suggesting is he is the chief

:05:52. > :05:57.suspect because he made no social or work commitments after the flight

:05:58. > :06:00.while the rest of the crew did. I am not sure that is what you call

:06:01. > :06:05.conclusive evidence. Maybe he is a guy who did not plan ahead. That is

:06:06. > :06:09.what they are suggesting. Investigation is centring on the

:06:10. > :06:16.pilot. Again, even if it does, why did he do it? Was he working with a

:06:17. > :06:21.lot of? The way this whole story has gone, we will be having this

:06:22. > :06:26.discussion in one year, two years, ten years time. Until they find some

:06:27. > :06:37.wreckage, it will be very hard. Remember all the stories about the

:06:38. > :06:43.new tribal? It the same. `` Bermuda Triangle. Another story that has

:06:44. > :06:51.caught your attention, British troops to fat to fight. It's because

:06:52. > :06:58.the food is so good. Nigel and I have both eaten in barracks abroad.

:06:59. > :07:06.They do have fantastic food because army cooks are great. More than

:07:07. > :07:10.32,000 soldiers! The way they were cutting back order the Armed

:07:11. > :07:14.Forces, that is a serious figure. Eva is two and they not fit to

:07:15. > :07:18.fight, we have a real problem. What they are talking about is they are

:07:19. > :07:24.Sega Camp Bastion, one place where I have been to eat. They would cook

:07:25. > :07:30.breakfast there, pizza. The one thing about travelling with the Army

:07:31. > :07:37.is a seem to not just light on their stomach, the fly, stale `` sale, and

:07:38. > :07:42.people are throwing food at you. There's not much else, is there?

:07:43. > :07:48.Division to do, you are expending a lot of energy. You need to put

:07:49. > :07:54.calories in one ad... Where is the sergeant saying, Nelsen, you are

:07:55. > :08:02.getting a bit porky! I do expect them to be quite fit. Certainly,

:08:03. > :08:09.give them food if they are slimmer, strong, tough and going out into

:08:10. > :08:14.action. If they are lying around sort of... Obese. You would think

:08:15. > :08:22.the sergeant major would do some in about it. Cut the calories down

:08:23. > :08:26.slightly. The chairman of the obesity Forum says, I would have

:08:27. > :08:32.thought it was the job of the army to keep them fit. A fair

:08:33. > :08:37.observation. I can hear soldiers across the country throwing things

:08:38. > :08:44.at the TV saying I do not know what you are talking about! Serious

:08:45. > :08:50.matters now. This is the state of Ed Miliband's leadership. The clinic

:08:51. > :08:59.has come out in support of him. He is about the only person who has not

:09:00. > :09:06.damped him with faint praise. It was Kinnock who famously had the

:09:07. > :09:09.Slightly better than having your Slightly better than having your

:09:10. > :09:15.photograph taken if you are Ed Miliband. Underneath all of these,

:09:16. > :09:22.there is a serious story that Ed Miliband is in a hole. He has become

:09:23. > :09:27.a victim. I think, not by his own making because I do not think he is

:09:28. > :09:32.as bad as he is made out to be. Unfortunate photographs. We were

:09:33. > :09:39.just talking about this that you do think, this is so Westminster, he is

:09:40. > :09:45.surrounded by all of these people and somewhere, somebody needs to say

:09:46. > :09:50.to him, just go for a walk. Go to an art gallery. Do something ordinary

:09:51. > :09:57.and get away from this obsessive being about everything you do is

:09:58. > :10:02.going to be picked over. Is this completely Westminster? Is Ed

:10:03. > :10:10.Miliband elite arrives in the way he seems to be... We lack he has been a

:10:11. > :10:15.political adviser, my impression of Ed Miliband is that he is great when

:10:16. > :10:20.he is himself. Very personable, great company, that is not saying

:10:21. > :10:29.that's enough to be Prime Minister but his personal qualities are his

:10:30. > :10:32.best assets. Just leave him alone and let him beams. Don't worry about

:10:33. > :10:37.all the messages you have to get across, just let himself across. You

:10:38. > :10:43.do so much better. That is why I agree, just take some time out and

:10:44. > :10:49.leave the advisers behind. This is the first time, obviously, we have

:10:50. > :10:54.had fixed term of Parliament. Everyone is so excited, looking

:10:55. > :11:00.forward to the next World Cup. All the ambitious advisers who hope they

:11:01. > :11:04.are going to be at the seat of government next May. They are all

:11:05. > :11:10.hurrying around and everyone is saying, I think you should do

:11:11. > :11:15.this... Everyone has a phrase... He wants to be the leader of the

:11:16. > :11:20.country! Should he be making decisions for himself. That is my

:11:21. > :11:25.point. You can end up having to many advisers and interestingly, his main

:11:26. > :11:32.advisers are all blokes which would suggest that is an awful lot of

:11:33. > :11:37.machismo competition going on. If you had a few... He needs to find

:11:38. > :11:45.his own self confidence to tell him to sod off and leave him alone. Can

:11:46. > :11:51.you lose `` use that word at 1130 was that the expression is well

:11:52. > :11:58.made. Let's look at The Sunday Express. 17 million of us. 17

:11:59. > :12:06.million! Are to get airline refunds. If we apply for it. I do

:12:07. > :12:14.not think they will be automatic. They have been trying to not pay us

:12:15. > :12:18.when they have flights delayed. They have been claiming that extra very

:12:19. > :12:23.circumstances have stopped play and flying, therefore we are not do

:12:24. > :12:26.compensation. There has been assisted in Europe whereby they

:12:27. > :12:32.should be paying as compensation. Now we are going to get it. This

:12:33. > :12:39.will cost the airline 's 6.3 billion. It found very much like the

:12:40. > :12:46.trouble the banks had... Exactly on the insurance staff. Where they will

:12:47. > :12:55.get the money, I am not sure. Gas. I will give you a clue. `` yes. Is a

:12:56. > :13:04.good story. Has it got legs? Has it got wings? It is not a lot of money

:13:05. > :13:10.but the point is, I think it is a big guy versus the little guy. This

:13:11. > :13:22.has been in the works since 2009. The companies have been diddling

:13:23. > :13:27.around, some bloke took one company to a small claims court and it has

:13:28. > :13:40.escalated. Sometimes, the ordinary person, it is not a lot of money,

:13:41. > :13:45.only ?350. Get rid of attacks. No time to mention that last story... I

:13:46. > :13:54.do apologise. There is something fundamentally wrong. Thank you both

:13:55. > :14:00.very much indeed. Do stay with us here on ABC News. At midnight we

:14:01. > :14:02.bring you the latest ` as details emerge about the British man filmed

:14:03. > :14:07.in an apparent Jihadist recruiting video posted online. But coming up

:14:08. > :14:14.next it's time for Sportsday.
