:00:00. > :00:00.to that during the course of the evening. Now time to discuss some of

:00:00. > :00:27.the front pages of tomorrow morning 's newspapers.

:00:28. > :00:31.will be talking about tomorrow, welcome Susan Boniface and Kieran

:00:32. > :00:38.Stacey, now let's have a look at the front pages. The Financial Times

:00:39. > :00:41.says that the governor of the Bank of England has given the strongest

:00:42. > :00:46.signal so far of a rise in interest rates but it also has a sombre

:00:47. > :00:51.picture of Dutch military personnel carrying the coffin of one of the

:00:52. > :00:55.victims of the flight MH17 crash. The Daily Express has news of an

:00:56. > :01:00.injection that could revolutionise the treatment of arthritis, or even

:01:01. > :01:06.prevented. Peaches Geldof features on the front page of the daily Star.

:01:07. > :01:10.The Guardian pictures dancers dressed as cakes during the opening

:01:11. > :01:15.ceremony of the Commonwealth Games! It also has a report on her chicken

:01:16. > :01:24.can be contaminated with a deadly bug. And the Daily Mail says two

:01:25. > :01:27.police chiefs have infuriated the police by opposing whole life

:01:28. > :01:32.sentences for police killers. The photo is of the Queen, dazzling in

:01:33. > :01:38.white at the opening ceremony of the common law of games. Let's begin.

:01:39. > :01:43.Let's start with the Financial Times `` the Commonwealth Games. Susan.

:01:44. > :01:50.The FT man is here, but let's start with you. He will get his save! He

:01:51. > :01:54.will. Every story has something to do with economics but this one is,

:01:55. > :02:02.according to the headline, that fears of a Sheffield the Ukraine

:02:03. > :02:07.arms race. It is misleading, because all arms races between them more

:02:08. > :02:11.than one person trying to get arms. These are different sides that would

:02:12. > :02:15.light weapons. Ukraine already has an army and has weapons at its

:02:16. > :02:19.disposal, the Russian led separatists, they seem to be armed

:02:20. > :02:22.with weapons that don't appear to have been locked up in the backyard

:02:23. > :02:29.quickly as part of a rebel movement that appeared to have come across

:02:30. > :02:35.the border, could knows what else. And they are suspected of having the

:02:36. > :02:39.ability to bring down airliners. The story is about the fact that a lot

:02:40. > :02:47.of weapons are going to the Ukraine, and who is supplying them

:02:48. > :02:50.fundamentally. It is a short list of one, not difficult to work out where

:02:51. > :02:56.they are coming from, not some at a race as a mass. Interesting that

:02:57. > :03:01.this points out that the overall strategy has been to create a proper

:03:02. > :03:07.army. That's the rebel army. It looks like it will become that. That

:03:08. > :03:12.is the really terrifying quote. A lot of this we are aware of. One

:03:13. > :03:15.reason for writing this piece today is two more fighter jets were

:03:16. > :03:21.brought down by rebel fighters. That brings up the number of planes that

:03:22. > :03:25.have been downed, including MH17. This wasn't just a one`off incident,

:03:26. > :03:30.although it was a tragic accident. Because it was a passenger jet. What

:03:31. > :03:35.the defence Security editor finds when talking to experts is that it

:03:36. > :03:38.isn't just about Russia giving weapons to the militants for

:03:39. > :03:45.short`term use of trying to resist the Ukrainian army. It is about

:03:46. > :03:48.setting up a permanent army to resist and undermine the Ukrainian

:03:49. > :03:52.government, and that will be a massive problem if that's the case.

:03:53. > :03:59.They are incredibly well equipped, according to these details. Among

:04:00. > :04:05.the equipment, dozens of battle tanks, rocket launchers,

:04:06. > :04:10.self`propelled guns, artillery, infantry combat vehicles, cannons,

:04:11. > :04:16.personnel carriers, small arms from semiautomatic weapons, and

:04:17. > :04:20.anti`aircraft systems. This is a huge arsenal. Compare that to Gaza

:04:21. > :04:27.at the moment, again rebel fighters in an area knocking ab rockets in

:04:28. > :04:33.there by Garrard and causing a lot of damage to the enemy. ` locking up

:04:34. > :04:37.rockets in their back yard. Think about the damage being caused by

:04:38. > :04:45.Hamas in Gaza. This will be a lot worse. The other amazing quote, it's

:04:46. > :04:51.from Vladimir Putin, who when asked where the weapons came from, said, I

:04:52. > :04:57.don't know, the shops? The Russian line is, we don't know what they are

:04:58. > :05:04.up to, they could be buying their weapons in the local shops. Or going

:05:05. > :05:08.on eBay! Let's stay with you and go to the Governor of the Bank of

:05:09. > :05:14.England, highlighting a rate rise risk. From the outside it seems that

:05:15. > :05:21.he flip`flops on this subject. Sometimes he gives strong signals

:05:22. > :05:28.and sometimes he rows back. He is nicknamed the unreliable boyfriend!

:05:29. > :05:30.He came in saying he would have forward guidance which meant that

:05:31. > :05:35.when the unemployment rate dipped in certain amount people would think

:05:36. > :05:41.seriously about raising interest rates. That happened, yet interest

:05:42. > :05:44.rates stay low. Then we have members of the monetary policy committee

:05:45. > :05:51.coming out, saying it is high time that interest rates began to rise,

:05:52. > :05:55.there might be a problem. I'm sorry to interrupt you but it's unusual,

:05:56. > :05:59.because we've got the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony going on.

:06:00. > :06:06.We'll come back to you. Terrific to see him here. We've got a mighty

:06:07. > :06:07.team. Some brilliant
