:01:04. > :01:08.Pictures of some of those killed dominate the front of the Guardian.
:01:09. > :01:13.And the Metro has included a picture of the Eiffel Tower in its logo
:01:14. > :01:26.We will hear from our guests any moment but services of members have

:01:39. > :01:42.German authorities have discovered a man arrested with
:01:43. > :01:45.firearms in his car in Bavaria could be connected to the attacks.
:01:46. > :01:47.All day, people have been coming here to lay
:01:48. > :01:50.flowers and light candles, and simply stand in silence.
:01:51. > :01:52.This is the Brandenburg Gate, and in Germany,
:01:53. > :02:03.That is what many of the people here wish to express
:02:04. > :02:05.tonight, a sense of solidarity with the people of France.
:02:06. > :02:08.As the tributes mount up here, though, the German authorities are
:02:09. > :02:10.continuing to hold a 51-year-old Montenegran man.
:02:11. > :02:12.They arrested him ten days ago near the Austrian border.
:02:13. > :02:15.When they stopped his car, police found inside a number
:02:16. > :02:19.of weapons, including eight machine guns, as well as explosives.
:02:20. > :02:22.They looked at his satellite navigation system, and it's
:02:23. > :02:28.The German government say they share that information with the French
:02:29. > :02:34.The authorities also say they are still investigating the possibility
:02:35. > :02:40.What is really concerning ministers here in Germany
:02:41. > :02:44.at the moment is the possibility of a backlash against the hundreds
:02:45. > :02:48.of thousands of refugees who are currently living in Germany.
:02:49. > :02:51.The political right here in particular is calling
:02:52. > :02:53.for tighter border controls, saying that they simply aren't aware
:02:54. > :02:56.of who's coming into the country, who could be driving across it.
:02:57. > :03:01.That is something that is really concerning the German government.
:03:02. > :03:04.In an interview this morning, the head
:03:05. > :03:07.of the country's internal security services tried to tamp down those
:03:08. > :03:10.concerns, saying that as far as he is concerned, it is very unlikely
:03:11. > :03:16.terrorists will try to enter the country in the guise of refugees.
:03:17. > :03:22.But he also went on to say this, that he is aware of more than 100
:03:23. > :03:26.instances of extremists trying to radicalise people currently living
:03:27. > :03:32.There is a lot for the German government to think about,
:03:33. > :03:37.but at the moment, here in Germany, the mood is really all
:03:38. > :03:40.about standing shoulder to shoulder with the people of Paris.
:03:41. > :03:44.Earlier today, Germany's president gave a speech
:03:45. > :03:46.in which he said that the attacks on Paris were also attacks
:03:47. > :03:54.He went on to say that the strength and the
:03:55. > :04:12.community of democracy in the world is much stronger than that of hate.
:04:13. > :04:15.Hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the the papers will be
:04:16. > :04:19.bringing us tomorrow. With me are Joe Watts, Political Correspondent
:04:20. > :04:24.London Evening Standard and Benedicte Paviot, France 24.
:04:25. > :04:27.And joining us from our Paris bureau is Daily Telegraph Columnist
:04:28. > :04:43.Thank you for joining us. Tomorrow's front pages. This is how
:04:44. > :04:50.they look. We will begin with the Figaro. Let me tell you its main
:04:51. > :04:55.story is looking at how Francois Hollande is look -- likely to
:04:56. > :05:02.respond to the challenge that is now being faced as a result of these
:05:03. > :05:06.attacks in Paris on Friday. Looking at the Financial Times, France and
:05:07. > :05:10.the US have said they will step up air strikes against so-called
:05:11. > :05:16.Islamic State. If we can look at the Telegraph, or the express, I don't
:05:17. > :05:25.agree casualties front pages, can we? There is the Telegraph. The
:05:26. > :05:30.Telegraph says that a suspect in the attacks was stopped in a car at the
:05:31. > :05:33.border of France going over to Belgium hours after the attacks but
:05:34. > :05:39.police let him go because there was nothing suspicious. OK, we will give
:05:40. > :05:45.up on the front pages. We will go through the stadium -- steadily in a
:05:46. > :05:48.moment. All of the front pages in one form or another are looking at
:05:49. > :05:53.the aftermath of the Paris attacks. Let's start with French and the
:05:54. > :05:58.burglar Figaro and have a picture of Francois Hollande. How do you think
:05:59. > :06:06.the president is handling this crisis? Well, I think he acted very
:06:07. > :06:12.swiftly. He started with an address to the nation. He announced he would
:06:13. > :06:20.be declaring a state of emergency that is in progress that can last 12
:06:21. > :06:24.days and I gather, I know there needs to be a law posted by
:06:25. > :06:30.Parliament for that to continue and different and minister today has
:06:31. > :06:34.made it clear that he wants it prolongs and there is talk of three
:06:35. > :06:38.months. I do think it has been swift. They went into crisis
:06:39. > :06:41.meetings immediately with the interior minister and defence
:06:42. > :06:48.Minister and Justice Minister and also, they went to the Bataclan,
:06:49. > :06:49.where the worst atrocities were committed on Friday night by these
:06:50. > :07:01.terrorists. Elizabeth, you have written a column
:07:02. > :07:06.of how proud you are of Paris. What is the view that of the people you
:07:07. > :07:10.have been speaking to about the response France should mount
:07:11. > :07:13.following these attacks. The people in the street are the ones whose
:07:14. > :07:20.reaction are the most surprising and so different from the perfectly
:07:21. > :07:27.expect a ball reaction of the politicians. The politicians are
:07:28. > :07:35.saying the things you expect them to say. President Hollande by and large
:07:36. > :07:39.has the nation behind him, but people in the streets were not
:07:40. > :07:42.arise. They were told not to go outside because it might be
:07:43. > :07:47.dangerous, but they still went to the places where the attacks had
:07:48. > :07:58.been. They sat in cafes next to the restaurants that have been targeted
:07:59. > :08:04.on Friday. Not just civic sense, but it is the brotherhood of the city.
:08:05. > :08:11.People just turned up to help as we often see in moments of crisis like
:08:12. > :08:18.this. Let us look at the FT. France and Europe to amp up air strikes
:08:19. > :08:22.after the attacks. President Obama already -- President Hollande
:08:23. > :08:31.already promised merciless retaliation. The air strikes we saw
:08:32. > :08:36.was from saying, we will stand up to the Islamic State. America is now
:08:37. > :08:40.talking about intensifying attacks. The debate in the UK will spark up
:08:41. > :08:50.again as to whether they should join air strikes in Syria, but the
:08:51. > :08:55.question is, what does this mean to be wider strategy in the Middle
:08:56. > :09:02.East? It was recently said that there was no strategic underpinning
:09:03. > :09:09.for action in Syria and the question President Hollande and President
:09:10. > :09:15.Obama will face is what is their strategy. There is a lot of
:09:16. > :09:20.solidarity in the wake of the attacks, but it will get more
:09:21. > :09:25.difficult. There is another story on the FT which says from great guide
:09:26. > :09:29.to deadly French terrorist in the space of three years. This is one of
:09:30. > :09:37.those who have been identified from a finger which was found close to
:09:38. > :09:47.the scene of one of the blast. This is Omar Ismail Mostefai. What has
:09:48. > :09:51.happened to these men? Home-grown terrorists in some cases. That would
:09:52. > :09:56.be of great interest to the intelligence services, I would
:09:57. > :10:01.assume? I think the intelligence services know a bit about how they
:10:02. > :10:07.are radicalised. Some of them were radicalised in Belgium, it is not
:10:08. > :10:15.just France. What is interesting that the phrase we have heard
:10:16. > :10:21.already at the time of Charlie Hebdo, at the time of the attack on
:10:22. > :10:26.the Jewish school in Toulouse, they are known. The networks are
:10:27. > :10:30.followed. Sometimes we listen to their cellphones, but what
:10:31. > :10:33.disconnect happens when we cannot realise that they are planning this
:10:34. > :10:39.kind of attack? You were talking about whether people have ideas
:10:40. > :10:43.about policy. One of the worries is what we for Security policy so that
:10:44. > :10:49.all this intelligence that the French have got great expertise in,
:10:50. > :10:53.we have had Islamic terrorism in France for over 35 years, the
:10:54. > :10:59.question is we have this information, how do we use it to
:11:00. > :11:05.prevent the terrorist acts? That is something the man and woman in the
:11:06. > :11:16.street are asking. Suspect rather let free by police it says on the
:11:17. > :11:26.front of the Telegraph. He appears to have got across the border. That
:11:27. > :11:31.is a problem. Having the freedom of movement, living in a democracy,
:11:32. > :11:38.being innocents until proved guilty. Although they had just had
:11:39. > :11:43.the attacks, this is a terrible mistake. He was stopped. There was
:11:44. > :11:48.nothing apparently suspicious about him, or in the car. His name was
:11:49. > :11:52.taken, it was near the Belgian border, so he got away. It wasn't
:11:53. > :11:55.until they made a link with the car that was found in Paris near the
:11:56. > :12:01.attacks that they've then made the link. Let us remember, this only
:12:02. > :12:07.happened on Friday night, but what I have been looking into is looking
:12:08. > :12:12.again at L gem. Dodge has a massive problem. It has been brewing for
:12:13. > :12:18.over ten or 15 years. I remember a cab driver, cab drivers in all
:12:19. > :12:21.countries can tell you all kinds of things and sometimes they have a
:12:22. > :12:29.good insight into things. Belgium is a small country. Well, there is this
:12:30. > :12:37.part of Brussels that is called Molenbeek and it is full of these
:12:38. > :12:43.cells. This driver was trying to tip me off. These men have not only been
:12:44. > :12:49.linked with the Charlie Hebdo atrocities, they have been linked
:12:50. > :12:56.way back, remember a man who was a commander in Afghanistan and his
:12:57. > :13:18.death, his name escapes me, but his death was the precursor to ten two.
:13:19. > :13:25.-- to 9/11. The security services need to wake up. It is a training
:13:26. > :13:29.camp and Europe and I'm sure Washington London and Paris are
:13:30. > :13:37.looking at Belgium in a very serious way. And the other story from the
:13:38. > :13:43.Telegraph regarding border controls. This will reignite the
:13:44. > :13:50.issue of border control across all member states. That is right. The
:13:51. > :13:55.finance minister said that Paris changes everything and there has to
:13:56. > :14:01.be an end to free movement and immigration. We have also had Poland
:14:02. > :14:07.pulling out of the agreement to take refugees from Syria today. France
:14:08. > :14:12.calling for all sorts of new controls, including any
:14:13. > :14:18.fingerprinting -- a new fingerprinting system. The most
:14:19. > :14:21.controversial one is called for this passenger name recognition system.
:14:22. > :14:26.So this is a database that allows governments across Europe to share
:14:27. > :14:29.that information on passengers as they are moving around Europe. That
:14:30. > :14:34.really goes against the liberal values of a lots of governments,
:14:35. > :14:40.especially in France. Finally, the Daily Express has this figure of 450
:14:41. > :14:47.jihadis on the loose in the UK. Fears home-grown terrorist are
:14:48. > :14:52.planning copycat attacks. We fear is there will be more potential
:14:53. > :14:56.terrorist who have the skills if they have come back from Syria and
:14:57. > :15:05.been radicalised, Paris will just be the beginning. It is possible and it
:15:06. > :15:11.does not take massive skills to empty a magazine into a crowd of
:15:12. > :15:17.people on the floor. That is the nature of terrorism, it is
:15:18. > :15:21.asymmetric. We know Al-Qaeda means the base. It is a decentralised
:15:22. > :15:27.organisation in which people can take initiatives. Practically, you
:15:28. > :15:34.can think there are young men who have been brainwashed and suddenly
:15:35. > :15:39.they may decide to do this. President Hollande says we are at
:15:40. > :15:42.war, but Pope Francis says these are the images of world War three and we
:15:43. > :15:48.are at war and we have to get used to it. For the moment, thank you
:15:49. > :15:53.very much. We will all be back again at 11:30pm for a longer look at The
:15:54. > :15:59.Papers. Thank you for that brief look at the front page news. If you
:16:00. > :16:05.would like to make a comment, you can do so on Twitter. We will be
