:00:17. > :00:19.Hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the papers

:00:20. > :00:25.With me are sports writer for the Sun Martin Lipton, and broadcaster

:00:26. > :00:32.The Times says David Cameron has been warned that 300,000 Britons

:00:33. > :00:35.will lose entitlement to in-work benefits if he accepts a Brussels

:00:36. > :00:41.compromise on welfare restrictions for EU migrants.

:00:42. > :00:44.The Guardian leads on deaths in the NHS, saying Health Secretary

:00:45. > :00:53.Jeremy Hunt is under pressure to hold a nationwide inquiry.

:00:54. > :00:56.And there is a big photo of the BBC's Sports Personality

:00:57. > :00:59.The Independent says six alleged victims of child abuse,

:01:00. > :01:03.at the hands, they claim, of the late Labour peer Lord Janner,

:01:04. > :01:05.are to press ahead with a claim for compensation.

:01:06. > :01:08.David Cameron is preparing to send out a document to the public,

:01:09. > :01:11.ahead of a referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union,

:01:12. > :01:15.That is according to the Daily Telegraph, who say it will infuriate

:01:16. > :01:19.The Mirror says the SAS will be called in to help guard the England,

:01:20. > :01:22.Wales and Northern Ireland teams from terror attacks at the Euro 2016

:01:23. > :01:25.tournament in France, along with a picture of the wedding of Christine

:01:26. > :01:30.While the Daily Mail warns that nine out of ten hospitals are being hit

:01:31. > :01:40.by a shortage of nurses, which it says puts patient safety at risk.

:01:41. > :01:49.Let us begin with the Telegraph, then. The headline is Cameron

:01:50. > :01:54.dossier to make the case for EU. This is risking, according to the

:01:55. > :01:57.paper, a Cabinet rebellion as the Prime Minister prepares to send out

:01:58. > :02:02.a document and families before the poll. They haven't even finished the

:02:03. > :02:07.renegotiation. No, but I think we know where it is going. Cameron is

:02:08. > :02:10.clearly going to try and sell whatever he has with the EU as the

:02:11. > :02:17.change he has promised and the guaranteed Britain's place within

:02:18. > :02:21.the EU and stick with N. Members of his party, quite a lot of them are

:02:22. > :02:26.so implacably opposed to the concept of continuing membership that they

:02:27. > :02:30.are going to force him -- stick within. This is a dangerous game. He

:02:31. > :02:33.can afford to have a civil war within the Conservative Party

:02:34. > :02:40.because there is no opposition at the parliamentary level at this

:02:41. > :02:42.moment but it will cause ructions, unquestionably, within the Tory

:02:43. > :02:47.party because the Eurosceptics will not like this. They will see him as

:02:48. > :02:56.trying to all those that pro- EU case, and they want Brexit very loud

:02:57. > :03:01.and strong. He can't sit on the fence and pretend he doesn't have a

:03:02. > :03:06.view. At this stage, he should. He needs to be seen to give a level

:03:07. > :03:11.head. There will be a dingdong merrily on high in the Cabinet

:03:12. > :03:19.shortly because he is seen to be taking sides. He is taking sides,

:03:20. > :03:22.but we knew... Major is saying it would be absolutely extraordinary

:03:23. > :03:27.for Eurosceptics to speak up. Liam Fox, the Defence Secretary is making

:03:28. > :03:31.his position clear and the likes of Iain Duncan Smith and others, what

:03:32. > :03:37.is going to be critical is the position of Johnson in this. He has

:03:38. > :03:41.a big call to make. Does he want to stay or set himself up as the leader

:03:42. > :03:47.of the Eurosceptic wing, and potentially then given that Cameron

:03:48. > :03:50.will step down before the election, give himself more chance of taking

:03:51. > :03:57.over and wearing the crown which we know he craves long and hard.

:03:58. > :04:00.Looking at the Times, Cameron and Cabinet battle over migrants. What

:04:01. > :04:08.is the main thrust of this deal? The issue is whether the in work

:04:09. > :04:13.benefits system is going to be applied to UK citizens equally as it

:04:14. > :04:18.is to those who are entering the UK, and whether we are going to have

:04:19. > :04:23.what is known as a contributory system, which we have now, or

:04:24. > :04:28.residency test of four years or so. Now if we have a residency test and

:04:29. > :04:35.moved to that system, 300,000 people and their claim will be instantly

:04:36. > :04:40.wiped out. Now, is that fair? More importantly is it sellable? This is

:04:41. > :04:44.the issue. Given all the moves to try and cut the benefits bill, we

:04:45. > :04:50.suddenly have the Tory Eurosceptic Right pushing the case for keeping

:04:51. > :04:54.benefits for 300,000 people. It is quite odd but it is the games people

:04:55. > :04:58.play were now so desperate to strike a position on this and it is all

:04:59. > :05:04.part of the manoeuvrings effectively within one political party at our

:05:05. > :05:09.head of the vote, whenever it is. Maybe June 16, 2016, maybe 2017. No

:05:10. > :05:15.one quite knows when the vote is going to be an much depends on the

:05:16. > :05:22.negotiations between Cameron and the EU. Has come all Ye faithful.

:05:23. > :05:26.Supporters will do what they do. My goodness, she is going to burst into

:05:27. > :05:30.song in a minute! She threatened us with Christmas carols. Wanting to

:05:31. > :05:39.buy a home in 2039, start saving up now. Only 24 years! That is the

:05:40. > :05:43.average. I think it is shocking. One of the things that ties people to

:05:44. > :05:48.their democracies feeling part of it and in Britain it is being able to

:05:49. > :05:51.buy a home and feel you are part of the community on which the economy

:05:52. > :05:55.rest. If you are renting, if you are paying someone else's mortgage that

:05:56. > :06:00.is surely going to affect the way you are going to vote. But we

:06:01. > :06:06.haven't got enough houses and if it is a Shia case of supply and demand

:06:07. > :06:10.we need to build a lot of houses. We have had a tremendous undersupply of

:06:11. > :06:14.housing over the last two or three decades, that why London prices are

:06:15. > :06:18.so ridiculous. Looking at the south-east as a whole, in many parts

:06:19. > :06:24.of the country house prices go hugely through the roof. It is

:06:25. > :06:29.extremely disconcerting. I am very fortunate in terms of I have my own

:06:30. > :06:33.place but can my kids be expected to buy a home in London? Not very

:06:34. > :06:37.easily. It is going to be very tough. It is a crazy situation which

:06:38. > :06:42.gets worse with every passing year rather than better. Hurrah places in

:06:43. > :06:48.the country where house prices are much, much lower but then again so

:06:49. > :06:59.I'll wager is -- there are places. Large part of the East, Scotland,

:07:00. > :07:06.East Midlands... -- so our wages. We can't continue having this pressure

:07:07. > :07:11.on the south-east. No Carol? It is going to be a silent night for lots

:07:12. > :07:18.of people. Off the cuff that is pretty good. Well done. Right, Andy

:07:19. > :07:22.Murray. He is Scottish, or is he British? We don't care, he is BBC

:07:23. > :07:27.Sports Personality of the Year for the second time in three years. Look

:07:28. > :07:33.at what he has achieved. You are the sports journalist... Allegedly. For

:07:34. > :07:39.a lot of the women of the country, you know, he was a surly teenager,

:07:40. > :07:43.and then Kim came along and warmed him up. Then we met Judy who was

:07:44. > :07:47.dancing away and being very supportive and now he's got a female

:07:48. > :07:54.coach who is making him plunge further. It is all about them, is

:07:55. > :07:58.it? There are three queens supporting Andy Murray tonight, not

:07:59. > :08:07.three Kings. And easier result for the BBC, Tyson Fury. It was a

:08:08. > :08:11.competent to victory. Rightly so. There are issues with being Fury. I

:08:12. > :08:18.am against banning him from the shortlist given his achievement but

:08:19. > :08:22.I found it inconceivable he woodwind in many ways and his views are

:08:23. > :08:28.unacceptable. That is my moral, political and philosophical

:08:29. > :08:33.standpoint -- he would win. He comes across as an Old Testament patriarch

:08:34. > :08:37.with his views but there you go. He speaks better with his fists than

:08:38. > :08:43.his reign at times. What he apologised for causing offence. It

:08:44. > :08:49.shows what a big man he is. He is, he is enormous. The best thing about

:08:50. > :08:56.the apology was he acknowledged the backlash. Well done. My goodness me.

:08:57. > :09:02.There will be another dingdong merrily on high. The Metro put rail

:09:03. > :09:05.delay payments on the fast track. Lots of people are either being

:09:06. > :09:10.denied refunds or not bothering to pay them. It is too difficult. If

:09:11. > :09:16.you go through hoops and chaos just to get 40p back no one is going to

:09:17. > :09:21.bother. We are talking about a few quid that adds up over time. 47

:09:22. > :09:25.million passenger journeys were cancelled in the 12 months to

:09:26. > :09:30.March. ?100 million of compensation goes unclaimed because it is so

:09:31. > :09:33.difficult to get anything. You have to go through so many ludicrous

:09:34. > :09:36.things and it needs to be simplified. You need a super

:09:37. > :09:42.complaint process, simplified, is heated up, and find a way to get

:09:43. > :09:47.people's money back. You spend a lot of time wasted on train journeys. I

:09:48. > :09:52.would like you to make a quick comment if you can. Why can't we

:09:53. > :09:57.automatically pay people back through their credit or debit cards?

:09:58. > :10:01.Pay for a ticket, we do the refund. They know which tickets have been

:10:02. > :10:05.bought, they know who is buying them. Give us the money back

:10:06. > :10:12.straightaway. Have you got the Express next? I've got the Daily

:10:13. > :10:16.Mail. They had the same story. This is to make people getting married on

:10:17. > :10:27.the front page of the Express and the Daily Mail. Steve in my ear is

:10:28. > :10:34.having a fit. This is the union of Frank Lampard and Christine. She

:10:35. > :10:41.waited. She was a very beautiful fiancee. Good for her. It is a white

:10:42. > :10:46.Christmas for us all! Look how happy they are. Frank is looking

:10:47. > :10:52.fantastically good with the media over his career, he has always

:10:53. > :10:56.spoken extremely well. I don't know Christine at all. I hope they are

:10:57. > :11:01.very happy together. I have met them a couple of times to say hello, and

:11:02. > :11:05.that was it. Good luck. I hope they have a fantastic life together.

:11:06. > :11:11.Wouldn't we wish that for anyone. Christine Anne Frank, as if we know

:11:12. > :11:13.you, congratulations to you. Thank you for joining us. That's it, the

:11:14. > :11:21.Film Review.
