:00:00. > :00:19.Hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the papers

:00:20. > :00:25.With me are James Rampton, Features Writer for the Independent and

:00:26. > :00:27.the academic and former government policy advisor, Zamilla Bunglawala.

:00:28. > :00:30.The Times leads with the video released by so-called

:00:31. > :00:32.Islamic State which shows the execution of five individuals

:00:33. > :00:43.The Guardian headlines the same story, saying the jihadist

:00:44. > :00:46.The paper also mentions an English-speaking boy who appeared

:00:47. > :00:50.The Telegraph also covers the video - with an image of the militant

:00:51. > :00:56.The BBC has decided not to show the image.

:00:57. > :00:58.The Independent front page claims David Cameron is facing criticism

:00:59. > :01:01.for failing to condemn the Saudi Arabian killings yesterday.

:01:02. > :01:03.The i headlines plans by the government to fast-track

:01:04. > :01:06.the building of thousands of new homes to alleviate

:01:07. > :01:11.The Express warns of a pensions crisis, as employers

:01:12. > :01:17.struggle to meet their liabilities and stump up the necessary cash.

:01:18. > :01:23.And the Mail leads with news that soldiers who served

:01:24. > :01:30.The paper is concerned they could face a witch-hunt.

:01:31. > :01:37.Let us begin with the story that has been dominating the news bulletins.

:01:38. > :01:40.This new video that is set to come from so-called Islamic State.

:01:41. > :01:55.difficult for people to independently verify. We do not know

:01:56. > :02:00.who is in it. But the hunt for this gunman is on. A British sounding man

:02:01. > :02:09.and a very small child. That is the shocking element. A small boy, you

:02:10. > :02:14.can clearly see his face, he says that they will kill the unbelievers.

:02:15. > :02:21.That is a shocking development, that they are utilising small children.

:02:22. > :02:24.We have had child soldiers quite frequently in some places. A couple

:02:25. > :02:32.of weeks ago, so-called Islamic State used younger boys to kill

:02:33. > :02:38.prisoners. A TUC five-year-old child to issue threats against Britain is

:02:39. > :02:46.a chilling development. -- but to use. They are masters of propaganda.

:02:47. > :02:53.They are very good at capturing our attention. We are talking about it

:02:54. > :03:00.now. This is a huge story in with an obvious British connection. We have

:03:01. > :03:08.to take it seriously. And the efforts to trace who this man and

:03:09. > :03:19.who this boy is could take months. We know it is a long process. It is

:03:20. > :03:28.important, because we need to know where British nationals on. --

:03:29. > :03:33.National spa. Some of these militants come back into mainland

:03:34. > :03:43.Europe. It is going to be very disturbing. Islamic State is very

:03:44. > :03:48.good at using social media. Videos will be watched by young people. If

:03:49. > :03:54.the objective is to appeal to young Europeans, this is going to be quite

:03:55. > :04:01.effective. The purpose of these videos is to get people watching.

:04:02. > :04:12.Through these people are is still important. It is not entirely clear.

:04:13. > :04:19.The Guardian also talks about this story. There are so many elements of

:04:20. > :04:25.this video which are chillingly reminiscent of those put out when

:04:26. > :04:38.Muhamed Aussie was appearing in them. -- Emwazi. And they are

:04:39. > :04:43.copying what he did. Accusing Britain of all kinds of serious

:04:44. > :04:49.crimes. Calling David Cameron a slave of the White House. A detailed

:04:50. > :04:54.knowledge of British politics. Talking about Tony Blair and Gordon

:04:55. > :04:59.Brown. And the fact that soldiers are paid the minimum wage. He is

:05:00. > :05:05.steeped in the knowledge of Britain. It is very chilling that

:05:06. > :05:14.you can get somebody with that depth of knowledge issuing a direct

:05:15. > :05:17.threat. We will get back to this story with the lack of criticism of

:05:18. > :05:24.the killings in Saudi Arabia. There is so much going on in the Middle

:05:25. > :05:33.East. It is a scary time. Looking at the other story in the Guardian.

:05:34. > :05:40.Doctors row before strike deadline. There is the hope that they could

:05:41. > :05:46.find some common ground. It is not going to be a strike, it is going to

:05:47. > :05:52.be a series of strikes. It is important with the timing. The point

:05:53. > :06:02.of the article is that this has been moved from number 10. The broader

:06:03. > :06:10.point is we have 45,000 young doctors talking about issues and pay

:06:11. > :06:17.conditions. They are an important part of making sure that the NHS

:06:18. > :06:22.works and functions. For any of this to resolve, it will take months. We

:06:23. > :06:28.need to look at how we deal with our professionals. Both sides

:06:29. > :06:42.criticising each other, saying, we were prepared to talk. I would agree

:06:43. > :06:47.with what was just said, it just shows how important the NHS is as a

:06:48. > :06:52.political entity. I would say it is the greatest thing the country has

:06:53. > :06:56.ever done. No government can suggest cutting it. You have to say all the

:06:57. > :07:02.time that you are increasing funding and improving services. We love the

:07:03. > :07:07.NHS. However difficult it is to run it, we feel a deep connection with

:07:08. > :07:11.it. And if it appears to be breaking down because of government

:07:12. > :07:24.intransigence, that is severe political damage. Soldiers furious,

:07:25. > :07:27.ambulance chasers prosecuting the heroes of Iraq. This is the

:07:28. > :07:32.investigation into a more full killing and treatment of Iraqi

:07:33. > :07:40.civilians by British soldiers when we were fighting the war. This is

:07:41. > :07:48.not right, this is a witch-hunt. People suggesting it is a waste of

:07:49. > :07:58.money. People who fight for our country should be revered, so there

:07:59. > :08:06.has to be balance in making sure this is the rule of law being

:08:07. > :08:11.properly applied. The government set aside ?57 million on potential

:08:12. > :08:19.claims. There is room for manoeuvre. That is important. We

:08:20. > :08:26.should not forget the important job the armed services do for us. I

:08:27. > :08:31.absolutely agree. This is what separates us from Islamic State.

:08:32. > :08:39.Executing people with no trial or Jupiters of law. The great thing we

:08:40. > :08:45.are promoting is the idea that people are entitled to a fair trial.

:08:46. > :08:49.That is the same for soldiers and potential alleged victims of war

:08:50. > :08:55.crimes. You must be seen to be doing the right thing legally. A pledge to

:08:56. > :09:01.fast track building of new homes, a shift in policy. Small firms will

:09:02. > :09:09.get the chance to develop sites. How much detail is there? It seems very

:09:10. > :09:17.vague. I am not an expert on housing. I am an expert on cricket

:09:18. > :09:24.instead. TV programmes. I think it seems a bit wishy-washy. Affordable

:09:25. > :09:30.is one of those weasel words. They say they will create 40,000 new

:09:31. > :09:34.homes with a ?1.2 billion fund. I will be interested to see where the

:09:35. > :09:41.money is coming from. Have they been looking down the back of the sofa?

:09:42. > :09:50.They have a lot of problems that are really battling to find. Good luck

:09:51. > :09:55.to them. It is absolutely the case that it is a problem that needs

:09:56. > :10:01.addressing. A lot of campaigners say at least it is a start. Which is a

:10:02. > :10:10.fair point. But statistically we need to do 50,000 new houses every

:10:11. > :10:16.year. -- 250,000. The Times. Offering to swap jobs. A reshuffle

:10:17. > :10:24.in the Shadow Cabinet. This is very odd. Why would they do that? If it

:10:25. > :10:32.happens, it would be very interesting. Andy Bunham holds the

:10:33. > :10:39.post of Home Secretary. Since Jeremy Corbyn was the lack of, this is

:10:40. > :10:45.about the speech supporting the invasion in Syria. -- elected.

:10:46. > :10:55.Normally they would reshuffle anyway. But the article talks about

:10:56. > :11:00.women not taking the job. Maybe they are just trying to hold on to a

:11:01. > :11:07.senior position. This is an element of it. I am perplexed that Jeremy

:11:08. > :11:11.Corbyn never asked him what his views were about foreign policy

:11:12. > :11:17.before he was made Shadow Foreign Secretary. The picture for you was

:11:18. > :11:23.Jeremy Corbyn's face when he gave the speech. The look of cold fury.

:11:24. > :11:38.Has he never talked about foreign policy? It is extraordinary. A new

:11:39. > :11:44.kind of politics. Another story from the Middle East. David Cameron

:11:45. > :11:58.condemned for silence on Saudi killings. What is the British

:11:59. > :12:12.government supposed to say. There are -- they are a huge strategic

:12:13. > :12:17.partner. There was a huge... David Cameron is compromised in any way.

:12:18. > :12:23.His instincts might be to protect Saudi Arabia, but it is not an easy

:12:24. > :12:32.thing in the world of real politics. It is not always black and white.

:12:33. > :12:36.Lord Ashdown says he believes that the confrontation that seems to be

:12:37. > :12:39.growing between Sunni and Shia Muslims could pose a far greater

:12:40. > :12:45.danger to the West than so-called Islamic State. That is really

:12:46. > :12:47.interesting. We now have the diplomatic ramifications of this,

:12:48. > :12:55.with Saudi Arabia breaking off ties with Iran. If we are a strong ally,

:12:56. > :13:03.it is the responsibility of us to say something when mass killing is

:13:04. > :13:09.happen. We need to say it is wrong. As a trusted partner, we are allowed

:13:10. > :13:16.to say it is wrong. This is a story that is going to bubble. Tell us

:13:17. > :13:23.about war and peace. It is starting tonight. You were in Lithuania. I

:13:24. > :13:35.met the delightful Willie James. I will not say how delightful she is.

:13:36. > :13:39.-- Lily. People complain about the BBC and said we cannot justify the

:13:40. > :13:46.licensing, watch this and you will see why it is worthwhile. Lovely to

:13:47. > :13:51.see you. Thank you very much. That is it from the papers. Coming up

:13:52. > :13:53.next, it is Reporters.
