:00:00. > :00:00.last eight. Also we will hear from Jimmy Anderson on how to save the

:00:00. > :00:14.fourth test. Hello and welcome to

:00:15. > :00:17.our look ahead to what the papers With me are Kevin Schofield, the

:00:18. > :00:21.Editor of Politics Home and Mina The Telegraph says the

:00:22. > :00:28.European Union is considering plans to "seal Greece off from the rest

:00:29. > :00:31.of the Continent", and move the passport-free zone so that it

:00:32. > :00:36.covers only northern Europe. It says the idea is aimed

:00:37. > :00:40.at tackling the migrant crisis. The Times has a story

:00:41. > :00:43.on the same theme - the papers says the Schengen zone could be suspended

:00:44. > :00:47.completely for two years. The 'i' leads with the agonising

:00:48. > :00:49.final message of the explorer Henry Worsley, who died just 30

:00:50. > :00:53.miles short of being the first man The Financial Times reports

:00:54. > :01:01.Downing Street has distanced itself from the Chancellor's claim that

:01:02. > :01:04.the ? 130 million tax deal with The Guardian says spending cuts are

:01:05. > :01:11.to blame for a rise The Mail says the NHS 111 service is

:01:12. > :01:17.a box-ticking exercise which can miss life-threatening

:01:18. > :01:21.symptoms in children. The Daily Express says scientists

:01:22. > :01:24.are getting close to developing 'It could be them' the Mirror

:01:25. > :01:29.reports that hundreds of people are now claiming to be

:01:30. > :01:48.the holders of the missing ? 33 Let's start with the Telegraph,

:01:49. > :01:59.dramatic plans for migrants. The idea is to take Greece out of the

:02:00. > :02:06.Schengen zone. Yes. Essentially, we would be leaving Greece to defend

:02:07. > :02:13.for itself. As you can imagine, this has not gone down terribly well in

:02:14. > :02:21.Athens. The government has said... Has accused the EU of assaulting it.

:02:22. > :02:29.There is a massive problem. Massive flow of migrants coming in to the

:02:30. > :02:35.region. Most of them coming up in Greece or the islands surrounding

:02:36. > :02:41.it. Then looking to make their way to the rest of the continent. It

:02:42. > :02:49.seems a pretty extreme solution to the problem. Is this Brussels saying

:02:50. > :02:54.it is not our problem? You would think that Greece, as a member,

:02:55. > :02:58.there would be a collective response. On the one hand, there is

:02:59. > :03:03.the issue of pushing the border up and pretending it is no longer any

:03:04. > :03:12.bodies problem but Greece and Turkey. It is strange that the

:03:13. > :03:18.European Union would also consider imposing internal checks on the

:03:19. > :03:25.borders between Europe because this is one of the most successful

:03:26. > :03:35.policies of the EU, have it the Schengen policy. If you keep them in

:03:36. > :03:40.Greece, the economy is doing so badly, the refugees cannot work and

:03:41. > :03:46.create a new life for themselves. It was almost like a blame game, as the

:03:47. > :03:52.Greek government is complaining. The blame game is from countries having

:03:53. > :03:57.huge conflicts and this is a symptom of it. It is bizarre that they would

:03:58. > :04:03.single out Greece like this. There has been controversy. Greece is not

:04:04. > :04:09.registered some of the refugees so they are not completely faultless

:04:10. > :04:20.and it is a failure of policy. The failure of the rupee in union in

:04:21. > :04:26.general. -- European Union. This is shocking, the numbers in this report

:04:27. > :04:32.by the Guardian shows the depths among mental patients in England has

:04:33. > :04:40.risen by 21% over the last three years. The article does the there

:04:41. > :04:46.are new ways of monitoring the figures and, therefore, it could be

:04:47. > :04:52.they were already high figures but were not being reported and we do

:04:53. > :04:56.not know. Regardless, there are over 700 people who have died and there

:04:57. > :05:02.are constraints on the NHS and the lack of ability to cope with those

:05:03. > :05:10.in need of support. There is also something here, again, about a

:05:11. > :05:15.lifeline given to those who can get support at home rather than going

:05:16. > :05:24.into hospital because the NHS is stretched. It is really a crisis,

:05:25. > :05:30.this issue of mental health. Kevin, this is part of the Guardian... It

:05:31. > :05:36.has been doing this for a few days, looking inside the NHS and they have

:05:37. > :05:42.come up with these figures. Is this something people in government will

:05:43. > :05:50.be taking notice of? They should be. Under the coalition, one of the main

:05:51. > :05:55.benefits was to make mental health more of an issue. These figures have

:05:56. > :06:03.been uncovered by Norman Lampe, health Minister in the previous

:06:04. > :06:09.government. He is a driving ambition was to improve services for those

:06:10. > :06:18.suffering from a mental illness. There was a scandal about unclaimed

:06:19. > :06:25.deaths, unexplained death that could be prevented were the proper

:06:26. > :06:36.procedures and resources put in place. They should be looking at

:06:37. > :06:48.this. What about the Daily Mail, Bob -- bombshell report over the 111

:06:49. > :06:56.service. A little boy died just after his first birthday. There were

:06:57. > :07:01.16 blunders that led to these poor baby dying. One of them is the fact

:07:02. > :07:06.that his parents really did everything necessary. They had gone

:07:07. > :07:13.to doctors. More than one GP failed to see symptoms. In the end, he was

:07:14. > :07:20.very ill and they called the 111 line at what is a very telling is

:07:21. > :07:27.that most staff use computer scripts and are not medically trained. If

:07:28. > :07:31.they miss a certain symptom, then it could cost somebody their life.

:07:32. > :07:36.Having said that, Kevin, the problems of this poor baby, they

:07:37. > :07:45.were missed by trained professionals anyway must make yes, they were. The

:07:46. > :07:50.extent occasions in which something could have been done. The parent did

:07:51. > :07:53.everything right and, as a parent, you would like to think that you

:07:54. > :08:01.could put your trust in the medical profession if your child is unwell,

:08:02. > :08:07.you leave the their hands and they would do everything they possibly

:08:08. > :08:12.can but multiple opportunities were missed and, as a parent, it is

:08:13. > :08:19.absolutely heartbreaking. I cannot imagine anything worse, especially

:08:20. > :08:29.when it is preventable. The ad line saying the phone line is not safe

:08:30. > :08:35.for six children, is that fair? This was the final blunder, the worst

:08:36. > :08:41.one. There are certain moments that they could have realised that the

:08:42. > :08:51.crying of the baby, the type of crying would have been indicative if

:08:52. > :09:01.it was a trained paediatrician or Doctor. You would go to the

:09:02. > :09:06.emergency or call 9/11. As you say, the parents were doing the best they

:09:07. > :09:11.can, thinking the person on the line would be giving them good advice.

:09:12. > :09:22.This is a case that has highlighted a -- but it is widespread. Is this

:09:23. > :09:30.turning into a bit of a problem for the government? There is a breakdown

:09:31. > :09:37.in the message. George Osborne was hailing this as a major success, 100

:09:38. > :09:51.and ?50 million brained out of Google. -- received. This is a step

:09:52. > :09:57.forward but more needs to be done. The problem is that George Osborne

:09:58. > :10:06.looks complacent. If you look at the revenues, 5.7 billion dollars that

:10:07. > :10:13.Google makes. 150 pound in tax is not the an awful lot. The French

:10:14. > :10:21.government is playing much more hardball with Google and has made

:10:22. > :10:31.500 million euros out of Google. -- ?150 million. You hammer individuals

:10:32. > :10:37.for not paying enough tax by a youth so happy that Google is not paying

:10:38. > :10:45.that much tax. This is the kind of thing that winds people up. You have

:10:46. > :11:02.these mega companies that pay next to nothing. From 2005-2015, the tax

:11:03. > :11:05.worked out to be 3%. Are people who say they are employing hundreds of

:11:06. > :11:11.people so to use scare them off and get them to go somewhere else rather

:11:12. > :11:18.than generating these? Personally, I think, if we have a tax rate, it has

:11:19. > :11:25.to be for all. Small businesses do not get a break like that. It should

:11:26. > :11:30.be British businesses are getting that sort of tax relief. It will

:11:31. > :11:36.increasingly be a problem, especially since the French are able

:11:37. > :11:41.to get three times that. In the mirror, we will scoop past the last

:11:42. > :11:46.story in the Times because we are running out of time. The winning

:11:47. > :11:53.Lotto ticket! LAUGHTER. There is only one person who won this. Where

:11:54. > :12:06.did they buy the ticket? Was it will start? You sneak over to try and

:12:07. > :12:11.claim it? If this woman is to be believed, unfortunately for her, she

:12:12. > :12:23.had heard ticket in the Jints pocket and it was put through the wash. --

:12:24. > :12:28.Jints. -- pants. The ticket has the numbers on it. The numbers checkout

:12:29. > :12:33.and it says that 2016 but the barcode is not scanned because she

:12:34. > :12:38.says it has been through the wash. Camelot have said they do want to

:12:39. > :12:44.pay but they have to be shelved it is the right person. Hundreds of

:12:45. > :12:57.people have thought, they will go for it. How are they trying to claim

:12:58. > :13:03.it? At least she has a ticket. You find this sort of companies will

:13:04. > :13:09.make up what they call greetings cards or business cards so, you

:13:10. > :13:12.know, I do not see any reason why they could not knock up a little

:13:13. > :13:24.ticket for you! Issue completely out of the picture?

:13:25. > :13:35.They have said that they want to pay it -- is she. They have to be 100%

:13:36. > :13:39.sure. They just don't have CCTV footage of her going into the shop.

:13:40. > :13:44.She checks out in terms of the area and the time it was bought, that is

:13:45. > :13:47.in her favour, it is just the final bar-code they cannot verify. They

:13:48. > :13:50.are worried about opening the door for people who say that is in her

:13:51. > :13:52.favour, it is just the final bar-code they cannot verify. They

:13:53. > :14:00.are worried about opening the door for people who say their seeing as

:14:01. > :14:06.the numbers -- who say their ticket was washed. She didn't know she was

:14:07. > :14:13.going to win the jackpot. -- seeing as the numbers show up. Whenever I

:14:14. > :14:18.play the lottery I end up forgetting about the ticket. Only God knows. We

:14:19. > :14:24.will end it there. Thank you very much indeed for coming in to look at

:14:25. > :14:28.some of the stories behind the headlines of some of the papers.
