:00:12. > :00:15.Hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the the papers will be

:00:16. > :00:22.With me are the entertainment editor at Huffington Post, Caroline Frost -

:00:23. > :00:26.and the parliamentary journalist Tony Grew.

:00:27. > :00:33.The Metro leads on what it calls "the three million pound own goal"

:00:34. > :00:36.by the former policeman who's company caused the security alert

:00:37. > :00:42.According to the Telegraph, the European Commission has said

:00:43. > :00:46.terrorists are more likely to attack European countries as a result

:00:47. > :00:51.of the deal to allow Turkish citizens to travel without visas.

:00:52. > :00:54.The Express says a new report from the campaign group

:00:55. > :00:58.Migration Watch UK claims mass immigration is costing British

:00:59. > :01:08.The i leads on a warning from the Ofsted that thousands

:01:09. > :01:10.of pupils in England are being taught in unsafe

:01:11. > :01:16.The Times says students who suffer poor teaching at English

:01:17. > :01:20.universities will have their fees reduced in an attempt

:01:21. > :01:26.This evening's celebrations in Leicester are pictured

:01:27. > :01:30.The paper also reports on claims that a study linking toxic air

:01:31. > :01:34.and deprived schools in London wasn't published.

:01:35. > :01:38.And news that the American businessman Warren Buffett has taken

:01:39. > :01:41.a stake in Apple worth over a billion dollars -

:01:42. > :01:59.So there we are. With beginning with the Daily Telegraph. They have the

:02:00. > :02:03.story about these free Turkey terror threat, quoting the European

:02:04. > :02:07.Commission as saying that increase mobility into the Schengen area of

:02:08. > :02:13.criminals and terrorists losses and of Turkey all who are foreigners

:02:14. > :02:18.based in Turkey. That is a direct quote from the European Commission.

:02:19. > :02:21.Yes, from a European Commission document. Turkey and the European

:02:22. > :02:26.Union did a deal in which Turkey said it would help to reduce the

:02:27. > :02:33.flow of migrants coming into the European Union and people trying to

:02:34. > :02:38.be trafficked across into Greece will be sent back to Turkey. In

:02:39. > :02:43.return, in the European Union said it would grant 90 days of free

:02:44. > :02:49.European visas. Turkish people will have to have biometric passports and

:02:50. > :02:54.Britain is not part of the Schengen zone, the free movement zone. It

:02:55. > :02:58.does not directly affect the United Kingdom. But it has raised concerns

:02:59. > :03:04.about the EU in which immigration is the number one issue. We had the

:03:05. > :03:11.former head of MI6, Sir Richard Dearlove, saying that it was

:03:12. > :03:17.important for the UK to stay in the EU and he says that the deal done

:03:18. > :03:21.with Turkey is perverse, compared to storing gasoline next to a fire.

:03:22. > :03:27.This is next to apocalyptic claims from the remaining that if they

:03:28. > :03:44.don't stay in, Britain will miss out in ?200 million of year -- a year of

:03:45. > :03:52.trade. When you said Romanians, I thought you said remaining is, not

:03:53. > :03:58.people from the Remain campaign! Tony walks the corridors of power

:03:59. > :04:04.every day and I'm the person on the street. I am a person on the street

:04:05. > :04:09.and I see the day of choice looming. It may come down to something like

:04:10. > :04:20.this. To me, it feels as if we don't know as much as the experts, and we

:04:21. > :04:24.think how -- who we can trust. For some people it may be Boris, for

:04:25. > :04:31.others, it may be Mark Carney. You still don't know? I read things like

:04:32. > :04:34.this and I think OK, make sense. But in the same article, two opposite

:04:35. > :04:41.assertions! Let's move on to the eye. This story is also on the front

:04:42. > :04:54.page of the Telegraph. They are calling it secret school scandal.

:04:55. > :04:58.Save thousands of people are being taught in unsafe conditions.

:04:59. > :05:08.Hundreds of children being at risk of being radicalised. The Education

:05:09. > :05:13.Secretary has had a letter saying that there is a much bigger problem.

:05:14. > :05:21.When we say illegal school, we mean these schools are unregistered. They

:05:22. > :05:24.are in warehouses and so on. I find it inconceivable that people would

:05:25. > :05:30.send their children to a school like this. One part of me says that

:05:31. > :05:34.people can educate their children where they want to. I went to a

:05:35. > :05:42.Catholic school, all this and that was registered! It was by diggers

:05:43. > :05:46.school. But I question why parents would do this. Why would you send

:05:47. > :05:49.your child to announce a school that weren't given any convocations? The

:05:50. > :05:57.schools do not have proper curriculum is, they are not going to

:05:58. > :06:01.be in a position to give you GCSEs. According to the Telegraph, they are

:06:02. > :06:03.saying one in three of the schools is run by Muslims groups where

:06:04. > :06:08.children are hidden from the authorities. You must question the

:06:09. > :06:13.motivation of a teacher wanting to be part of such a school and a

:06:14. > :06:19.parent thinking this is a good idea. You wonder what the other two in

:06:20. > :06:22.three are doing? We hear about fear mongering about extremism being

:06:23. > :06:28.given to young children but what else is going on? And how doesn't

:06:29. > :06:30.work on a day-to-day basis? How are the children being transported

:06:31. > :06:36.around and nobody sees being educated? Lets go onto the next

:06:37. > :06:41.story in the Metro, the big story over the weekend. This huge security

:06:42. > :06:46.scare at Old Trafford. Tens of thousands of fans evacuated from the

:06:47. > :06:51.ground. The security boss who has admitted it was his mistake because

:06:52. > :06:59.he left this pipe bomb, and he is pictured holding up this replica

:07:00. > :07:06.pipe bomb, used as part of the exercise, he is an ex-policeman. It

:07:07. > :07:10.is after the mistake. I feel for the man. He has properly had a really

:07:11. > :07:15.long and successful career. He is the boss and all he will be

:07:16. > :07:21.remembered for, every time he walks into the pub, perhaps a bit of a

:07:22. > :07:29.cause celebre, nobody was hurt, fortunately but it's a massive own

:07:30. > :07:37.goal. Yes, as the Metro says. We are lucky with a blunder, that's the

:07:38. > :07:42.thing. But obviously it was a scary time at the weekend. You do feel

:07:43. > :07:46.sorry for him Elizabeth? And for the fans, we interviewed some of them

:07:47. > :07:49.earlier who had travelled from all around the world, never been to see

:07:50. > :07:54.Manchester United before and won't be able to see this game when it is

:07:55. > :07:59.replayed. I just want to say a couple of things. He came on TV and

:08:00. > :08:06.confessed. Respect he is not trying to do a corporate blog. He said it

:08:07. > :08:09.was his mistake and he was sorry. I know I have inconvenienced thousands

:08:10. > :08:14.of people. And we should take comfort that this was found and

:08:15. > :08:19.sparked a security alert. That shows the levels of security that we have

:08:20. > :08:23.at sports stadiums. And the evacuation happened in an orderly

:08:24. > :08:31.fashion so we are prepared. So in a sense although it was eight terrible

:08:32. > :08:37.mistake, it was a drill and it panned out well. We should be

:08:38. > :08:43.pleased the police can do an evacuation on that scale. Busy it's

:08:44. > :08:50.terrible and is the first time -- it's terrible for the fans. How

:08:51. > :08:57.often do you somebody say, the mistake is entirely mine?

:08:58. > :09:00.Respected him for that. Perhaps not respective universities, some of

:09:01. > :09:04.whom are being told to raise their standards or they might have to cut

:09:05. > :09:08.their fees. We have known for a while that students who are paying

:09:09. > :09:11.thousands of pounds for their university education, a lot of them

:09:12. > :09:15.are saying they are not getting value for money. Tutorials and

:09:16. > :09:25.lectures are not up to is gradual not long enough with their tutors?

:09:26. > :09:30.Yes, walking the corridors of power, I sashay, rather than walk! But we

:09:31. > :09:36.have been told that the government's White Paper on higher education was

:09:37. > :09:40.going to be radical. This means that university will face market forces

:09:41. > :09:45.that they have been shielded from. Universities will not be allowed to

:09:46. > :09:49.increase their fees above ?9,000 a year unless they are assessed as

:09:50. > :09:55.being excellent or outstanding. My concern is that if you are a student

:09:56. > :09:59.in your second year and you'll university has been downgraded, it

:10:00. > :10:04.will have a significant effect on you and your prospects. But creating

:10:05. > :10:08.an office for students to publish detailed information and properly

:10:09. > :10:15.assessed universities is radical. Given the commercialisation of

:10:16. > :10:21.universities, this is inevitable. Caroline, nurses being trained to

:10:22. > :10:26.cover the junior doctors' jobs? Odyssey, a new step because of the

:10:27. > :10:31.unprecedented pressure on the NHS. -- obviously. The government and the

:10:32. > :10:40.NHS are coming up with new schemes to plug any gaps. Boris Johnson is

:10:41. > :10:44.busy talking about the gaps -- at the queues NAND. Nurses will be

:10:45. > :10:48.given a lot of support. There will be a fast track group of nurses who

:10:49. > :10:53.will be given special training so that they can take tests and monitor

:10:54. > :10:55.the decisions that traditionally have belonged to the young doctors

:10:56. > :11:17.who have had years of training. The FT has a story on Uber, they

:11:18. > :11:23.have done very well but new taxi companies numbers have fallen this

:11:24. > :11:29.year. According to the GMB, at least ten private hire companies close

:11:30. > :11:34.every month. So established companies are suffering as well as

:11:35. > :11:37.start-ups. My view is that technology is providing a service

:11:38. > :11:43.that people want. Every problem that you have had booking a taxi is taken

:11:44. > :11:47.away by this app. You can't help but be a fan if you live and work in

:11:48. > :11:51.London and you want to get from A to B and you don't have cash. If you

:11:52. > :11:54.don't know where you're going, that problem goes away, and if you don't

:11:55. > :11:59.know how long you're going to wait, that problem goes away. I can't not

:12:00. > :12:07.be a fan of such a slick service. But do you feel sorry for the

:12:08. > :12:11.rivals? Yes, it is like watching all the chains on the high street and

:12:12. > :12:17.independent cafes closing as a result. So is it market forces? Yes.

:12:18. > :12:21.They give the consumers what they want. We talk about London taxi

:12:22. > :12:25.drivers having the knowledge and knowing everywhere, but there is a

:12:26. > :12:30.place for that. I have seen black cabs recently that have things in

:12:31. > :12:36.the back saying I only take cash and this is 2016, that is not

:12:37. > :12:39.acceptable. Finally, let's end with the Telegraph again. I would never

:12:40. > :12:45.have guessed this, but going to church doesn't just feed the soul,

:12:46. > :12:49.it makes you live longer! I'm not sure if that is because of God or

:12:50. > :12:56.because... I haven't read the story very closely! What it says is that

:12:57. > :13:02.they did a study of 74,000 women over a 16 year period and regular

:13:03. > :13:06.churchgoers were 33% less likely to die of over that period of time. I

:13:07. > :13:15.think there could be a whole range of factors. Being a member of a

:13:16. > :13:19.church means you are part of a community so they could be a lot of

:13:20. > :13:25.factors which are not quite as religious as this story implies. And

:13:26. > :13:28.perhaps if you are a regular churchgoer, you are less likely to

:13:29. > :13:34.be going out and hitting it hard on a Saturday night. There is less

:13:35. > :13:43.likely to be a causative route. So will you be going to church more

:13:44. > :13:50.often? No. Tony and Caroline, thank you both so much. We will see you

:13:51. > :13:55.again later on. We will be back at 1130 PM for another look at the

:13:56. > :13:59.front pages. For now, thanks to my guests. Goodbye.
