:00:00. > :00:00.training for it. -- I do not see why Tokyo would not be on the cards.

:00:00. > :00:13.That's all from Sportsday. Coming up in a moment, the Papers.

:00:14. > :00:16.Hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the the papers will be

:00:17. > :00:20.With me are Financial journalist, Louise Cooper and Michael Booker,

:00:21. > :00:39.Tomorrow's front pages starting with...

:00:40. > :00:41.The Daily Mail says the 'post-code lottery' for cataract surgery,

:00:42. > :00:44.will end as the government is going to draw up new guidelines.

:00:45. > :00:47.The Metro lead with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt getting divorced,

:00:48. > :00:52.The Express reports that the government will divert

:00:53. > :00:54.spending on overseas aid to fighting terrorism and tackling

:00:55. > :00:58.The Guardian says the Labour Party is going to crack down on online

:00:59. > :01:01.abuse - expelling members who don't adhere to a code of conduct.

:01:02. > :01:06.The Telegraph reports that BBC staff are allegedly

:01:07. > :01:19.paid 40% more than staff at other broadcasters.

:01:20. > :01:22.The Times leads with news that Britain is going to impose tough

:01:23. > :01:23.checks on ivory traders to protect elephants.

:01:24. > :01:25.The online Independent leads with a committee

:01:26. > :01:27.of MPs who have criticised the government's strategy

:01:28. > :01:29.for fighting the so called Islamic State in Syria.

:01:30. > :01:38.Are you responsible for this front page? Possibly. There are ?12

:01:39. > :01:43.billion that we give in foreign aid and if it is perceived as going to

:01:44. > :01:47.places that seem daft, when the story is about India and we show how

:01:48. > :01:56.much we give to India and then we have a story about how they put a

:01:57. > :02:00.rocket into space, people get upset. It will not be the most amount of

:02:01. > :02:07.money, but some people deem it a waste of time. With The Daily

:02:08. > :02:11.Express hat on, a lot of our readers will think it is sensible for

:02:12. > :02:16.Theresa May to say, this money, we will put it towards tackling the

:02:17. > :02:22.global migration crisis, starting with places like Somalia, it has

:02:23. > :02:26.turned into a failed state, there is the group Al Shabaab, it is taking

:02:27. > :02:30.over the country in many parts and if we put money into it and send

:02:31. > :02:35.troops there and target aid and are seen to be targeting the money

:02:36. > :02:39.properly, there will be less controversy. She has sensibly put

:02:40. > :02:44.this out there in the speech at the UN and many would agree. If that aid

:02:45. > :02:52.is going in the right places, then brilliant. The speech that Theresa

:02:53. > :02:55.May gave in front of the UN General Assembly, it was a speech that many

:02:56. > :03:01.conservatives back here in the UK would applaud one suspects. She is

:03:02. > :03:04.talking about dealing with the migration crisis, making sure there

:03:05. > :03:11.is a proper differentiation between someone who is coming hither

:03:12. > :03:14.economic means, someone who is a refugee, someone who is allowed

:03:15. > :03:25.asylum in the first country they land on. -- who is coming here on

:03:26. > :03:31.their own economic means. She also said can you imagine it if it was

:03:32. > :03:37.your own family fleeing atrocities? She is appealing to her backbenchers

:03:38. > :03:43.with a hard line, but also saying, look, we understand why people would

:03:44. > :03:50.leave with their families, this appalling situation. It is tackling

:03:51. > :03:56.the root causes. They are not really, no one is dealing with

:03:57. > :04:00.Syria. Know, the root cause in Somalia is the terrorism and that is

:04:01. > :04:04.where the money is being targeted all stop if you stop those states

:04:05. > :04:08.becoming failed, then people will stay in those countries and the

:04:09. > :04:12.economy grows in those countries and they become attractive places for

:04:13. > :04:17.other people. Critics of The Daily Express with the where is the front

:04:18. > :04:20.page talking about the fact that 20,000 refugees are supposed to be

:04:21. > :04:31.coming to the UK over the next five years, there has been a trickle,

:04:32. > :04:36.hardly any have made it. This story we are applauding the use of foreign

:04:37. > :04:41.aid, we cannot do everything. Every single time, but at the moment we

:04:42. > :04:48.would back what she is saying. Let's move on, the Metro is talking about

:04:49. > :04:53.Syria. The UN condemns the bombing of an aid convoy in Syria. These are

:04:54. > :05:01.volunteers, many of them, they are trying to help people in Syria and

:05:02. > :05:06.they get bombed. It is a war crime. 18 trucks, it is a pretty big

:05:07. > :05:13.attack. 18 trucks being destroyed is a very large bomb. We have seen

:05:14. > :05:19.President Putin and Bashar al-Assad say nothing to do with arts.

:05:20. > :05:24.Somebody must have done it. You have got the UN aid chief Stephen O'Brien

:05:25. > :05:29.saying if this callous attack is found to be a deliberate attack on

:05:30. > :05:33.humanitarians it would amount to war crime, but the trouble is getting

:05:34. > :05:37.that proof when you have a categorical denial from Russia and

:05:38. > :05:42.Syria, then there needs to be proof and in the fog of war, that is very

:05:43. > :05:48.difficult to get. There is a general fear of Russia. The UN commission

:05:49. > :05:54.has stinging rebukes, but what does it do to Putin and Russia? Ban

:05:55. > :06:01.Ki-Moon was very strong today, normally does not get quite so the

:06:02. > :06:09.motion -- quite so emotional. Where does that go? If it was to stop aid

:06:10. > :06:15.convoys, then it has worked. What would you do? LAUGHTER

:06:16. > :06:20.The greatest minds at you when do not know how to stop this, if you

:06:21. > :06:24.have a regime that has decided it will use whatever means necessary,

:06:25. > :06:29.killing civilians potentially and you have liberal democracies who are

:06:30. > :06:36.saying you cannot kill civilians, what would you do? We are looking at

:06:37. > :06:40.it from afar. Ban Ki-Moon is getting angry, at the end of the day it has

:06:41. > :06:45.done nothing. If we go back a few years and we backed military action

:06:46. > :06:53.in Syria, the boat that David Cameron lost, where would we be now?

:06:54. > :06:57.Would it be far worse. -- vote. It is a hellhole as it is, but

:06:58. > :07:02.somewhere down the line the fighting will somehow stop, I do not think it

:07:03. > :07:08.will, but these atrocities, no one will prove it. They will get away

:07:09. > :07:15.with it. There was a real sense of embarrassment and shame coming from

:07:16. > :07:21.the UN today, it is reported by our correspondent. It sums up how

:07:22. > :07:26.impotent and absolutely useless they have been in dealing with this. A

:07:27. > :07:31.lot of leaders will not want to go there. Look at David Cameron with

:07:32. > :07:35.what happened with Libya, that was only a limited intervention, already

:07:36. > :07:40.he has introduced over it and there is that report from the committee.

:07:41. > :07:47.If we had gone into Syria, what would it be like? It is not about

:07:48. > :07:52.going in the Terry, any kind of diplomatic attempts to deal with

:07:53. > :07:57.what is going on, it makes the UN look completely and utterly... What

:07:58. > :08:01.is the point? You had two of the greatest superpower is saying they

:08:02. > :08:05.would have a ceasefire, how many times have we seen ceasefires broken

:08:06. > :08:12.in the history of world politics? Talking of war, the Labour Party!

:08:13. > :08:15.LAUGHTER This is an entertaining story, but

:08:16. > :08:22.we should not be laughing about it. We should not be laughing about it.

:08:23. > :08:25.This is the opposition who should be a Sirius opposition. They spent

:08:26. > :08:37.eight hours, they could not decide on anything important. -- a serious

:08:38. > :08:42.opposition. Like the brownies they are asking members to sign a pledge

:08:43. > :08:45.against online abuse. I don't if they have to stand up and say it

:08:46. > :08:51.with their fingers in the air, but they have to say I stand against all

:08:52. > :08:57.forms of abuse, if found to be in breach of the Labour Party policy of

:08:58. > :09:05.online abuse, I face expulsion. They do face expulsion. They could be

:09:06. > :09:10.suspended and eventually expelled. You need proof. If you are an online

:09:11. > :09:18.troll, surprisingly a lot of them are anonymous and this is a Jewish

:09:19. > :09:26.MP, a female MP, Ruth Smith and she said she had been subjected to

:09:27. > :09:31.25,000 instances of abuse. It is so bad she has required police

:09:32. > :09:35.protection. For a serious political party to spend most of their eight

:09:36. > :09:40.hours coming up with this rather than with anything a particular

:09:41. > :09:46.substance... If they cannot agree about this... This is a major

:09:47. > :09:51.talking point to be fair. For this Jewish MP it is important that the

:09:52. > :09:55.Labour Party deals with it. It is very important, the volume of the

:09:56. > :10:00.abuse that people seem to be getting, this is the Labour Party.

:10:01. > :10:05.It is embarrassing that this is what it comes down to. It is worse than

:10:06. > :10:11.embarrassing, it is horrifying. You are right that Ruth Smith did say, I

:10:12. > :10:16.think this is a great step forward. At least there is something about

:10:17. > :10:20.Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party and his supporters, this seems to be the

:10:21. > :10:24.volume of it. To say you will have to sign up and say you will not

:10:25. > :10:30.abuse someone, it says a lot. I cannot see a lot of other political

:10:31. > :10:34.parties doing this, because they do not have this problem. They had a

:10:35. > :10:42.discussion about the Shadow Cabinet being elected, whether or not you

:10:43. > :10:47.should get rid of registered voters, they put Jeremy Corbyn in place.

:10:48. > :10:53.They did not get very far on a lot of the substantial issues. Let's get

:10:54. > :10:57.to the Telegraph. BBC pay is a hot topic, the BBC is said to be paid

:10:58. > :11:01.40% more than their rivals. This is the Telegraph and apparently it is

:11:02. > :11:53.carried out for the BBC. The disparity is much later than --

:11:54. > :12:17.the disparity is much later than the public sector.

:12:18. > :12:28.If you can get paid more than somebody else, then good on you. We

:12:29. > :12:35.are a public broadcaster. All I would say as a BBC member of staff,

:12:36. > :12:41.if this survey had been done 20 or 30 years ago, it would be completely

:12:42. > :12:44.different. Pay for workers at lower levels of broadcasting in the

:12:45. > :12:50.commercial sector, they have gone down Pacific to sleep in the private

:12:51. > :13:08.sector. That has not happened. -- they have gone down steeply in the

:13:09. > :13:15.private sector. They are lining up. Very briefly, Brad and Angelina. We

:13:16. > :13:19.have three minutes, we can spend some time on this. What is going on

:13:20. > :13:46.here? I thought I kind of expected that. I

:13:47. > :13:53.know he has had his problems before with Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth

:13:54. > :14:12.Paltrow, but no. Irreconcilable differences according to Angelina.

:14:13. > :14:26.I love the way they put it. In the year that has given us Brexit and

:14:27. > :14:44.bake it, we now have Brad it. Who wrote this? Hats off for that, come

:14:45. > :14:51.on. This will be the big story. This is the first one since the split. We

:14:52. > :14:54.have 15 crews standing by to head to LA to spend more money so you can

:14:55. > :15:01.write about it and the people will get upset about it. That was a joke

:15:02. > :15:09.by the way! Very briefly, fitness training. They are flooding the

:15:10. > :15:19.I like Forrest Gump, do not need these things. If you have not done

:15:20. > :15:26.any steps for a while it serves get a move on pork chop. There has been

:15:27. > :15:36.a study that says when people are done the steps, it is a complete

:15:37. > :15:45.waste of time. You are spending ?150 on a fitness tracker and they are

:15:46. > :15:54.changing it. I have got one. I am still looking all right, aren't I? I

:15:55. > :16:08.am not committing. Angelina will not be coming running, but... LAUGHTER

:16:09. > :16:14.We did not get to cats! LAUGHTER Thank you very much indeed, many

:16:15. > :16:18.thanks for that. That is it for the papers, do not forget, all the

:16:19. > :16:28.papers are online. Let's have a look at the weather.

:16:29. > :16:36.Hello there, good evening, fairly quiet weather, things get boisterous

:16:37. > :16:38.as the week goes on. A lot of dry weather overnight.
