:00:22. > :00:33.We are joined tonight by Lucy Fisher. We are also joined by Pete

:00:34. > :00:42.editor. Let's have a look at some of the front pages. We start with the

:00:43. > :00:45.Daily Telegraph. It leads with a story about migrants, saying the

:00:46. > :00:49.Home Office is failing to verify whether child refugees have family

:00:50. > :00:55.members in the UK able to look after them before they are brought here

:00:56. > :00:59.from Calais. The mirror has Philip Green being called a spiv and

:01:00. > :01:05.bounded by MPs who are recommending he lose his knighthood. The ices

:01:06. > :01:09.Philip Green is coming under a sustained attack following the

:01:10. > :01:13.collapse of BHS. According to the Guardian, ministers have ordered a

:01:14. > :01:18.crackdown on companies that use a large number of self-employed or

:01:19. > :01:24.agency workers. And the express leads with a health story, warning

:01:25. > :01:28.two soft drinks a day doubles the risk of diabetes. We will start with

:01:29. > :01:36.the Daily Telegraph. It dedicates most of his front-page to that

:01:37. > :01:40.picture of the fleet, the frigate, the aircraft carrier from Russia,

:01:41. > :01:45.making its way into British waters and heading to Syria. It looks like

:01:46. > :01:50.a photo from World War II in colour. We rarely see pictures like that on

:01:51. > :01:54.the front page. May's called to punish Russia over Syria is the

:01:55. > :02:00.headline. This is Theresa May under pressure. She is in Brussels at the

:02:01. > :02:05.moment with 27 other member states and is leading the call with France

:02:06. > :02:13.to put further pressure on Vladimir Putin. It might be a nice break from

:02:14. > :02:16.talking about Brexit for her. But interesting, Austria has come out

:02:17. > :02:21.and says it does not agree with that tactic, to put sand shines on Putin,

:02:22. > :02:32.but the Telegraph saying Number 10 sources are saying Theresa May was

:02:33. > :02:38.to push for war crime charges. We heard from our correspondents saying

:02:39. > :02:40.this is a bold and powerful strong message to Theresa May another

:02:41. > :02:44.European leaders that they are not doing enough on Syria to bring the

:02:45. > :02:50.conflict to an end and here is Russia doing what is needed. I don't

:02:51. > :02:54.think Vladimir Putin cares what Theresa May or anyone else in Europe

:02:55. > :02:57.says. This is an incredible statement to send the ships. They

:02:58. > :03:02.are joining eight others who are off the coast of Syria. They have been

:03:03. > :03:08.fully engaged in this war. Evidently, they are not needed.

:03:09. > :03:13.Putin is very good at statements and making symbolic gestures. This is a

:03:14. > :03:18.very... He will like this, that this is on the front pages. This plays to

:03:19. > :03:24.his whole propaganda war and the sense that Russia is almost already

:03:25. > :03:31.bought the West. He is fearless of talks of sanctions and war crimes?

:03:32. > :03:35.Russia has come under such economic pressure but at the same time, this

:03:36. > :03:40.nationalism plays very well with him home. His statements get an

:03:41. > :03:48.international front pages and that is helpful to him. Meanwhile, Trump

:03:49. > :03:53.making the front pages and the UK. This is the latest in a long line of

:03:54. > :03:57.allegations against Donald Trump, that he does seem to be able to

:03:58. > :04:04.shrug them off. I do not know if that is right. I think you will lose

:04:05. > :04:08.this election. This is the tenth woman. Tearfully today, she

:04:09. > :04:14.described allegedly Donald Trump groping her as she was waiting for a

:04:15. > :04:19.car at the US Open in 1919 eight. For this particular event an

:04:20. > :04:23.allegation change that much? I do not think so. There has not been a

:04:24. > :04:28.presidential candidate in modern US history who has come back from the

:04:29. > :04:33.deficit he is facing. What did the US debate last night tell us about

:04:34. > :04:37.Donald Trump's popularity? You think these allegations plus some of the

:04:38. > :04:45.things he has been saying are losing him support? I do. The real question

:04:46. > :04:51.now is what becomes of the Republican party and how they

:04:52. > :04:55.survive this. It is down the ticket as they say with the senators and

:04:56. > :04:58.members of the House of Representatives. They are deeply

:04:59. > :05:06.worried that Donald Trump will pull them down with him. If it was an

:05:07. > :05:11.election here and the Prime Minister candidate for ten women accusing him

:05:12. > :05:19.of sexual harassment, they would not survive, with the? He does seem to

:05:20. > :05:25.just keep going. These are strange times in the West and Europe. Brexit

:05:26. > :05:29.we saw post-truth politics, some people said with figures being flung

:05:30. > :05:35.around, some of the campaigns were weeping. It makes me wonder whether

:05:36. > :05:43.further down the line in the UK, whether we could see some kind of

:05:44. > :05:47.shock jock celebrity. The trouble with the polls we are told though is

:05:48. > :05:51.that there are a lot of sign old Donald Trump supporters as well who

:05:52. > :05:55.do not want to publicly admit that they are supporting him and will

:05:56. > :06:00.vote for him. How reliable are these polls? I am not sure the other

:06:01. > :06:07.silent. Donald Trump supporters are pretty vocal. What he has done this

:06:08. > :06:12.push away classic swing voters, suburban women, white college

:06:13. > :06:25.educated voters, who are the key people he needs to attract. What

:06:26. > :06:31.about the undecideds? The process is underway. It is possible he has lost

:06:32. > :06:35.the election. It has changed America though. It must be interesting for

:06:36. > :06:40.you to see how American politics has changed. I wonder what happens.

:06:41. > :06:45.Yesterday in the debate, Donald Trump seemed to almost seize it when

:06:46. > :06:49.he said the Hillary, lots of luck in dealing with terrorism down the

:06:50. > :06:53.line, but even if he loses, this is ramping up of the idea the election

:06:54. > :06:58.has been raped, there is dirty work behind the scenes, that will be a

:06:59. > :07:06.big problem going forward. It will be an interesting night. Let's move

:07:07. > :07:10.on to the daily Mirror, one of the number of papers reporting on the

:07:11. > :07:19.overwhelming support of MPs to strip Philip Green of his knighthood. This

:07:20. > :07:25.is a Philip Green, who was roasted today in the House of Commons. It

:07:26. > :07:31.was a shooting gallery is MPs from all parties took pot shots at him.

:07:32. > :07:37.It was pretty brutal. He had no choice but to watch from afar.

:07:38. > :07:40.According to our business unit, he was actually watching the whole

:07:41. > :07:46.thing and felt frustrated that some of the things that were said by MPs,

:07:47. > :07:51.he felt were defamatory, but there was nothing he could do about that.

:07:52. > :07:55.Inside the Commons, MPs have immunity to say what they like. Some

:07:56. > :08:03.of the descriptions were extraordinary. Compared to Napoleon,

:08:04. > :08:07.Robert Maxwell. But I think people are angry and there is a lot of

:08:08. > :08:14.suspicion that MPs are moving to try to back into a corner these pension

:08:15. > :08:18.deficits missing from BHS pension pots, as negotiations come to a

:08:19. > :08:24.close, whether the can put into a corner to whip out his cheque-book.

:08:25. > :08:32.There are other deficits another pension pots, though. It was a sign

:08:33. > :08:38.of The Times as well. He is a public figure. He lived the life of the

:08:39. > :08:44.billionaire. There may be tarring and feathering of Sir Philip Green

:08:45. > :08:55.but that is the consequence I think of living in the red top lose. The

:08:56. > :09:12.Guardian reported about young people being brought over from the jungle.

:09:13. > :09:15.Again, the responsibility of whom? The jungle being deconstructed and

:09:16. > :09:25.fears about what will happen to many of the migrants. He seemed to be

:09:26. > :09:30.making conciliatory noises over the summer, saying, let's grant Britain

:09:31. > :09:37.are quick divorce. You would think there is an election on! It is

:09:38. > :09:43.interesting now, he is saying, the idea that the UK's board begins in

:09:44. > :09:46.France, that will have to be renegotiated after Brexit. A lot of

:09:47. > :09:54.charities and aid agencies operating in areas like Calais to complain

:09:55. > :09:57.about the political rhetoric during election, the often migrants pay

:09:58. > :10:05.heavy prices for a general election in the country. He may be doing what

:10:06. > :10:12.American political candidates to, which is the view to the right

:10:13. > :10:17.before veering back to the centre. Still a lot of newspapers reporting

:10:18. > :10:20.on the fact that some of the children do not appear to be

:10:21. > :10:26.children or just about children as well. Campaign group saying, some of

:10:27. > :10:33.these young people have been children from the moment they left

:10:34. > :10:37.places like Afghanistan. Having walked all that way, terrible tales

:10:38. > :10:41.of what has happened or these arduous perilous journeys they have

:10:42. > :10:48.been none. The computer software that some newspapers are employing

:10:49. > :10:51.to the dues the ages of children, you cannot tell when children have

:10:52. > :10:57.been exposed to the elements, trying to get to where they are now,

:10:58. > :11:05.whether it would age anyone. It shows how hugely contentious the

:11:06. > :11:10.issue of migration is though. Could Scotland be an independent country?

:11:11. > :11:17.Another question for Theresa May! This one will not go away and Nicola

:11:18. > :11:21.Sturgeon has drafted a new bill for another referendum, a second

:11:22. > :11:26.referendum. This is as a result of the Brexit boat. She's saying, we

:11:27. > :11:30.did not vote for this in Scotland, we have a clear mandate to push for

:11:31. > :11:36.independence again if Brexit happened. Brexit happened. She is

:11:37. > :11:40.not saying she will do this. She has always held back and she will use it

:11:41. > :11:47.as leveraged to try and get as good a deal as possible at the point

:11:48. > :11:51.where Brexit happens. I don't know if you know the answer to this. Is

:11:52. > :11:56.there as much support for independence as there was at the

:11:57. > :12:01.referendum now? Is this the SNP trying to be opportunist, seeing an

:12:02. > :12:07.opportunity to keep the pressure up? There is a good deal of that. The

:12:08. > :12:13.SNP splits are beginning to show now. The comedy guru has spoken out,

:12:14. > :12:18.saying, we need to hold on, any new referendum should not be rushed. And

:12:19. > :12:22.of course, the economic case is completely different now to what it

:12:23. > :12:27.was back in September 20 14th with the collapse in North Sea oil. It

:12:28. > :12:34.was not an overwhelming result in that referendum, there was not a

:12:35. > :12:38.massive clear divide. It was 55-45. Nicola Sturgeon still has the toe

:12:39. > :12:41.the line because it was once promised as a once in a generation

:12:42. > :12:46.referendum but it does not feel like we have moved on. She is still

:12:47. > :12:54.saying she respects the result but this bill is obviously manoeuvring.

:12:55. > :13:01.Something else for Theresa May. You are confused about the next story,

:13:02. > :13:06.new diabetes health story. I confess that I thought that diet cola and

:13:07. > :13:10.diet soda had no sugar in them but that just shows what a sucker of a

:13:11. > :13:19.consumer I am! I am completely wrong, according to the express. Two

:13:20. > :13:25.soft drinks will give you type two diabetes or increase the chances of

:13:26. > :13:32.getting type two diabetes, which is alarming and wish I'd that a while

:13:33. > :13:36.ago! Some diet drinks do have sweetness in them, according to the

:13:37. > :13:41.Daily Express, but it goes to show, we do not always know exactly what

:13:42. > :13:46.is in our drinks. And food as well. We are told to read the ingredients,

:13:47. > :13:51.measure how much fat and salt is in there, but I am rarely in a

:13:52. > :13:58.supermarket, but I do not have time to read everything in it! I am a fan

:13:59. > :14:04.of the traffic light system. Mainly green, a couple of orange or red is,

:14:05. > :14:07.I think, show that in the trolley. It is difficult to know with

:14:08. > :14:12.artificial sweeteners and preservatives and different things

:14:13. > :14:18.and low-fat, low sugar products, the chemicals they replace them with are

:14:19. > :14:22.equally as bad. When it comes to beating diseases like diabetes, we

:14:23. > :14:27.have to take some responsibility for ourselves. We cannot totally rely on

:14:28. > :14:32.it. We have run out of time, thank you very much for taking us through

:14:33. > :14:36.some of tomorrow's papers. Or the front pages are online on the BBC

:14:37. > :14:46.website or you can read a detailed review of the papers. You can see us

:14:47. > :15:00.there to do with each night's addition of The Papers.

:15:01. > :15:06.It is a fine prospect for many but for some, Friday will bring the

:15:07. > :15:10.first foggy morning of the autumn season. Not everywhere but across

:15:11. > :15:11.parts of Wales and the Midlands
