:00:00. > :00:00.much on-screen magic in the spin-off from the Harry Potter theories. That

:00:00. > :00:13.in the film review. Hello and welcome to our look ahead

:00:14. > :00:17.to what the the papers will be With me are the Home Affairs Editor

:00:18. > :00:20.of the Evening Standard, and the Deputy Head of Sport

:00:21. > :00:26.at The Sun, Martin Lipton. Tomorrow's front

:00:27. > :00:31.pages, starting with The Observer claims Europe's leaders

:00:32. > :00:35.are to force the UK into a hard Brexit in a bid to see off any

:00:36. > :00:39.future populist insurgencies that might lead to the break-up

:00:40. > :00:44.of the European Union. The Sunday Times says the Queen

:00:45. > :00:48.is to invite Donald Trump to Windsor with Ministers hoping

:00:49. > :00:51.she'll help cement ties The Chancellor, Philip Hammond

:00:52. > :00:59.will pledge to spend more than ?1bn in a "road-building bonanza"

:01:00. > :01:01.in his Autumn Statement on Wednesday Meanwhile, The Sunday Telegraph

:01:02. > :01:08.warns that the Autumn Statement may include a tax raid on middle-class

:01:09. > :01:32.job perks such as health checks We are going to start with The Times

:01:33. > :01:36.and Mr Trump. What is the take on this version of Mr Trump? It is said

:01:37. > :01:43.the Queen will invite Donald Trump for a state visit next year, at the

:01:44. > :01:50.idea being that this will be one of the first countries it comes to once

:01:51. > :01:56.he becomes US resident. It is obviously early days and there are

:01:57. > :02:05.sources indicating this is the plan of the government. -- US president.

:02:06. > :02:10.The idea that we want to be close to the Americans, whatever we think of

:02:11. > :02:16.Donald Trump as an individual, clearly he's going to lead the US

:02:17. > :02:21.for four years and it is important to have good relations, and in

:02:22. > :02:25.particular a good trading at relation and this is accusing the

:02:26. > :02:32.Queen and the Royal Family is moving and hosting a visit which would be

:02:33. > :02:40.attacked if to him. I was quite disappointed when I saw this. A big

:02:41. > :02:46.tea on the top of Windsor Castle. More gold at Windsor Castle. I think

:02:47. > :02:52.the Queen would love it. It would be perfect. It would seal the special

:02:53. > :03:01.relationship. Sadly, that was not the story. We will have to see what

:03:02. > :03:09.he brings... LAUGHTER what is interesting here is that, with many

:03:10. > :03:18.stories featuring Mr Trump, it features Mr Farage as well. It is

:03:19. > :03:25.the push me - Poolewe of world politics. A strange combination they

:03:26. > :03:29.become dominant figures which is I suspect quite scary for the rest of

:03:30. > :03:35.the Western world but the link... Nigel Farage positions himself as

:03:36. > :03:43.the link between the UK and the US and these are sent that Theresa May

:03:44. > :03:50.is trying to trump him, as it were by bustling into the relationship

:03:51. > :03:55.which is a bizarre scenario. There clearly will be concerned if he is

:03:56. > :04:00.seen as the only link and intermediate between us and the

:04:01. > :04:06.American administration. I do not think that will happen. The reality

:04:07. > :04:12.is that also, come what may, any US president would be given an

:04:13. > :04:18.invitation. The other interesting thing, apparently we were 10th on

:04:19. > :04:22.the list of people Donald Trump called so it will be interesting to

:04:23. > :04:29.see how quickly... We did not have Greg Norman. That is how the

:04:30. > :04:35.Australian government got the telephone call. Maybe we need Rory

:04:36. > :04:42.McIlroy. Mr Trump did not follow protocol. There is strict protocol.

:04:43. > :04:49.The whole e-mail scandal about Clinton is using the server but he

:04:50. > :05:00.just picks up his mobile and completely ignores the laws and...

:05:01. > :05:09.And he is back on Twitter. Staying with Trump and turning to the

:05:10. > :05:15.Telegraph,... It picked up this whole idea of planning estate visit

:05:16. > :05:24.is trying to guarantee a post Brexit free trade deal. Obama saying we

:05:25. > :05:29.would be at the back of the queue and obviously Trump moved the other

:05:30. > :05:35.way talking about opening up the relationship rather than putting

:05:36. > :05:40.barriers in. We need to maximise our potential markets, what better

:05:41. > :05:46.market then the biggest market in the English speaking world. It makes

:05:47. > :05:52.sense. When anyone thinks about the decision of Brexit, it is now about

:05:53. > :05:58.making sure it works or whoever is in government because we need to

:05:59. > :06:07.have a future that is economically viable. It is critical. The question

:06:08. > :06:11.here is... I was always suspect about what Barack Obama said about

:06:12. > :06:16.the back of the queue by the Telegraph talks about the talks will

:06:17. > :06:20.target of reducing nontariff barriers because, of course, one of

:06:21. > :06:28.the big plays that Donald Trump has made in his election campaign was

:06:29. > :06:34.that the trade deals the US has got or seeking to get, in terms of the

:06:35. > :06:38.European one and the North American free to a agreement, a disastrous

:06:39. > :06:44.for America so he's not a great fan of tariff free trade. We would seek

:06:45. > :06:51.a different deal of our own. Exactly how favourable it is going to be to

:06:52. > :07:00.free trade... That remains to be seen. Making business great again I

:07:01. > :07:04.am not sure that is a great slogan for him. It is all about the

:07:05. > :07:10.domestic market. There is a big market here for them to export into.

:07:11. > :07:16.The Telegraph saying ministers are hoping for a statement of intent. He

:07:17. > :07:21.think that is likely to come? Maybe he wants to as well. To be able to

:07:22. > :07:27.prove he is not a pariah... He will be a busy man. We cannot get

:07:28. > :07:31.anything more than a statement of intent or at least a signal because

:07:32. > :07:36.clearly we are not able to negotiate deals until we have left the

:07:37. > :07:42.European Union. We are going to kind of stay with Brexit and turned to

:07:43. > :07:48.the Observer. It looks that we are going to be made an example. So they

:07:49. > :07:54.say. It is a little bit thin. There was no evidence other than some of

:07:55. > :07:59.the talk going on in the last two or three weeks that various European

:08:00. > :08:08.leaders are not keen on making concessions or free movement and

:08:09. > :08:11.therefore if we want to have some... Restrictions on free movement we

:08:12. > :08:15.cannot therefore have the free trade so from that point of view, if we

:08:16. > :08:22.cannot strike a deal on free movement, then perhaps there will be

:08:23. > :08:28.hard Brexit. This is more about a bigger play to be made which is a

:08:29. > :08:32.lot of the bigger nations, France and Germany, are worried about the

:08:33. > :08:38.breakup of the EU. If Marine Le Pen is to win... Do you think she will?

:08:39. > :08:43.Is someone said to me we are going to vote wrecks at an Donald Trump

:08:44. > :08:51.would be US president you would have laughed at the concept but so

:08:52. > :09:01.anything is possible. It started in Greece, Spain, 5-star movement in

:09:02. > :09:07.Italy likely to lose this constitutional referendum. Marine Le

:09:08. > :09:12.Pen, her father got into the presidential run-off and lost. One

:09:13. > :09:19.assumes that Francois Hollande is so toxic. The last line of defence is

:09:20. > :09:24.the centre right but we know that Angela Merkel is going to be under

:09:25. > :09:30.pressure in Germany. And there is the ongoing anti-immigration

:09:31. > :09:36.platform in Holland causing concern there so one wouldn't be surprised

:09:37. > :09:42.if anything happened now because it is in such a state of flux. The

:09:43. > :09:45.interesting thing is, Angela Merkel said this week that if we give

:09:46. > :09:52.concessions to Britain everybody else would want them. It is quite

:09:53. > :09:58.interesting position to be in. If everybody else wants them, then

:09:59. > :10:03.there are different views. Some believe there should be less

:10:04. > :10:08.integration and more a return to more national sovereignty. There is

:10:09. > :10:16.a debate within the European Union about its own future leaving aside

:10:17. > :10:24.how negotiated departure. That internal debate is ultimately going

:10:25. > :10:30.to have an impact. Mr Blair could come to our rescue. This is

:10:31. > :10:36.according to The Times, via a source. He wants a come back and

:10:37. > :10:41.play a bigger part because he thinks it is going disastrously wrong. He

:10:42. > :10:49.thinks Theresa May is a lightweight and Jeremy Corbyn is a nutter,

:10:50. > :10:55.according to him. Do like... He thinks there is a massive hole in

:10:56. > :11:03.British politics. Many people would like to fill the hole with him! The

:11:04. > :11:19.Gulf War remains a toxic thing for him, particularly for the voters.

:11:20. > :11:29.From the Labour Party point of view he is not very popular with the rank

:11:30. > :11:39.and file full of the story here... Jared Kushner, in the US he might

:11:40. > :11:45.have an impact there. Very, very briefly. The Autumn statement coming

:11:46. > :11:50.up and we heard about the roadbuilding but it looks like the

:11:51. > :11:56.so-called middle class could be losing out as well? Of course, there

:11:57. > :12:00.is increasing financial pressure on the government and they need to save

:12:01. > :12:07.some money somewhere and it is suggesting here some will be taken

:12:08. > :12:17.off some of the arrangements have for four schemes... Hard-working

:12:18. > :12:25.families just about managing families now. Try to spread the

:12:26. > :12:31.wealth... It is interesting. A new buzzword. Theresa May wants to

:12:32. > :12:36.appeal to the working person and not to be seen as appealing and shaking

:12:37. > :12:42.policy to the top end of the market so that she is trying to spread the

:12:43. > :12:50.message into the traditional Labour section. For us this evening, thank

:12:51. > :12:57.you very much for joining us. That was papers. Do stay with us here it

:12:58. > :12:59.was coming up next it's the film review.
