:00:12. > :00:16.Hello and welcome to our Sunday Morning paper review.

:00:17. > :00:19.With me are the Sun's Deputy Head of Sport,

:00:20. > :00:28.Let's have a look at the front pages.

:00:29. > :00:35.plot by Islamic extremists to take control of her school.

:00:36. > :00:38.leads with a leaked report warning of chaos and uncertainty for EU

:00:39. > :00:41.nationals living in the UK after Brexit.

:00:42. > :00:49.reports of child sexual abuse claims against former

:00:50. > :00:58.The Sunday Express carries a story about young

:00:59. > :01:01.children of alcoholics calling a helpline and asking to be read

:01:02. > :01:03.bedtime stories when their parents are drunk.

:01:04. > :01:07.reports that Russia plotted to remove the government

:01:08. > :01:16.of Montenegro and assassinate its Prime Minister last year.

:01:17. > :01:19.The Sunday Mirror claims a convicted rapist who claimed a

:01:20. > :01:21.?2.5 million lottery jackpot with a deliberately damaged ticket

:01:22. > :01:23.had bragged to his friends about the plan beforehand.

:01:24. > :01:40.The Montenegro plot. This is clearly sourced by Whitehall. The Russians,

:01:41. > :01:46.her friends in eastern neighbours, tried to subvert the Montenegro

:01:47. > :01:50.Government and ferment and violent overthrow the state with an attack

:01:51. > :01:56.on parliament and a planned to assassinate the then Prime Minister.

:01:57. > :02:05.He has no stood down and been replaced by his deputy. There is a

:02:06. > :02:08.clear worry from Moscow that a lot of satellite states will become more

:02:09. > :02:12.westernised and Montenegro are one of those. It is the process becoming

:02:13. > :02:21.a Nato member and seeks to become an EU member. At this very detailed

:02:22. > :02:24.report in the Sunday Telegraph and appears to show the sheer scale of

:02:25. > :02:28.the Russian involvement and they have form. Look at what is happening

:02:29. > :02:34.in Crimea and think a lot of the sphere of the next step will be

:02:35. > :02:38.similar sportss plots in the Balkans, in Estonia, Lithuania and

:02:39. > :02:41.Latvia with the Russian minority might be used as a pretext for

:02:42. > :02:50.something else. It is was like fiction but it is fact. Martin is

:02:51. > :02:55.right. That is formed for this. But also not to support Vladimir Putin

:02:56. > :03:00.in any way are endorses worldview, but from the Russian perspective it

:03:01. > :03:08.will of course look very threatening that Montenegro wants to join the

:03:09. > :03:15.EU. That it has application in play and also wants to be part of a call.

:03:16. > :03:22.It will see it as a European judgment on its territory. --

:03:23. > :03:27.encroachment. This idea of a Russian plot led by two intelligence

:03:28. > :03:32.officers to lead a revolt against the democratically elected leader.

:03:33. > :03:35.This is from the United States textbook on the CIA was involved in

:03:36. > :03:41.all sorts of plots to do the kind of thing. It even had a school of the

:03:42. > :03:53.Americas which is a school for political clues.

:03:54. > :04:01.-- coups. We see what has happened in the Ukraine with the Orange

:04:02. > :04:08.Revolution and the pushback and people being thrown in jail because

:04:09. > :04:15.the opposition leaders. Russian opposition leader suddenly had these

:04:16. > :04:20.investment charges against them. And clamp-downs on the free press and

:04:21. > :04:29.the authoritarian measures. It is then a stark context because we then

:04:30. > :04:36.have this between Trump, which is to be the bulwark against Russia, and

:04:37. > :04:43.Moscow for whatever reason. These things of piquancy and Westerners

:04:44. > :04:47.for us in Europe. -- resonance. We're talking now about business

:04:48. > :04:54.rates. Everywhere I go, every shop I going to be talking about business

:04:55. > :05:01.rates. Completely. People are really worried about losing the premises.

:05:02. > :05:07.In my area it's all independent retailers like the dry cleaner and

:05:08. > :05:10.the grocer who have petitions that say these business rates are going

:05:11. > :05:17.to force us to close and that does seem to be the picture across the

:05:18. > :05:22.UK. You say that all the papers have done pretty solid reporting from

:05:23. > :05:24.high street talking to retailers. This is the first time in seven

:05:25. > :05:34.years in business rates have been recalibrated according to property

:05:35. > :05:40.rises. The disparity in the rates is what is causing so much concern.

:05:41. > :05:44.Some large businesses such as sports direct who were named in one of the

:05:45. > :05:53.papers the other day, it is facing a cut while smaller and independent

:05:54. > :05:57.businesses are not. I think that is a genuine fear that the old fashion

:05:58. > :06:07.high Street is going because I will get is a homogenous situation when

:06:08. > :06:11.every turn looks the same. You end up with nothing that differentiates

:06:12. > :06:18.one time from another. And some other things that my paper covered.

:06:19. > :06:30.Changing the rates for the football clubs. And if you're an Internet

:06:31. > :06:35.business you do not have a building. Not only is it completely

:06:36. > :06:41.unaffordable but it will force them to close. Set against the giant

:06:42. > :06:45.packs that corporations seem to benefit from and this thing about

:06:46. > :06:51.not being enough our being able to avail themselves of tax loopholes.

:06:52. > :06:56.To not pay what you think would be an appropriate level of tax. It is

:06:57. > :07:05.hitting the national supporters of the Government. -- natural. You know

:07:06. > :07:13.that MPs are worried. This online from the Government saying there

:07:14. > :07:17.will be no U-turn which means they will make a U-turn. They will then

:07:18. > :07:30.say they have listened to the people. The Observer raises concern

:07:31. > :07:34.about EU citizens after Brexit. This is EU nationals who are now in the

:07:35. > :07:37.UK and have been for some time. That thought to be 2 million. They have

:07:38. > :07:41.lives and families and children and work in school and the rest of it.

:07:42. > :07:54.Their features completely uncertain because they are being as pawns in

:07:55. > :07:59.our negotiation about withdrawal from the EU. On top of this there

:08:00. > :08:03.has been a leaked report that says because there are weaknesses in the

:08:04. > :08:13.British immigration system and the way that charts and processes of

:08:14. > :08:16.non-British citizens and it is just not up to the job of being able to

:08:17. > :08:26.filter carefully select should be here. That is adding to the

:08:27. > :08:34.uncertainty. A previous court case for many years ago would have it

:08:35. > :08:40.they would say that, wouldn't they? It is interesting that one of the

:08:41. > :08:47.pieces in the Observer suggest that had much scheme for the National ID

:08:48. > :08:51.card been approved ten years ago this would have been an issue that

:08:52. > :08:55.could have been avoided. The problem, it is claimed here, is that

:08:56. > :09:05.there is no real logging of people coming to the country. The fate of

:09:06. > :09:09.British citizens in Europe is also uncertain. It is interesting now

:09:10. > :09:15.that the trigger for Article 50 leaving the EU is going in front of

:09:16. > :09:19.the House of Lords, this issue is one that might be sent back to get

:09:20. > :09:25.an amendment is slapped on it. It is causing a lot of distress and I

:09:26. > :09:28.think a lot of the Lords have a political freedom and political

:09:29. > :09:32.space to be able to look about best cleanly and say this is just

:09:33. > :09:38.completely ludicrous. It is not fair to do this to people. There has been

:09:39. > :09:47.inconsistency. Affordable to those clear a lot of Brexit ears were

:09:48. > :09:55.saying there would be no impact on foreign citizens are British living

:09:56. > :10:00.abroad. -- Brexiteers. One would hope that could be a sensible

:10:01. > :10:05.solution probe could say this is where we stand. People are rightly

:10:06. > :10:11.fearful of where they're going. The Sunday Times has an article about

:10:12. > :10:18.what is known as another Trojan horse plot. This is an old term with

:10:19. > :10:32.a a primary school sent an e-mail to a local council to say that she

:10:33. > :10:38.believes there is a plot to force a particular conservative branch of

:10:39. > :10:51.Islam onto the school. -- Oldham. There were issues in Birmingham and

:10:52. > :10:54.Tower Hamlets and Luton. This is one of the journalists hobbyhorses that

:10:55. > :11:02.you can see why there are issues there. She is claiming she has had

:11:03. > :11:06.death threats. It is a very strong statement, an e-mail sent to her. I

:11:07. > :11:12.have very strong reasons to believe this is happening. I am the subject

:11:13. > :11:15.of death threats and aggression to my car and a verbal abuse and

:11:16. > :11:21.attacked physically by a parent. This goes back to 2013. It will

:11:22. > :11:27.concern people. The Birmingham are quietly went on for a long time and

:11:28. > :11:37.while some of the claims were dismissed the thrust of them were

:11:38. > :11:44.our peril. -- where upheld. There were cross-party concerns in the

:11:45. > :11:48.city as well. The danger is you end up branding everyone is a

:11:49. > :11:53.fundamentalist and trying to attack and destroy what is the norm in this

:11:54. > :11:59.country. It is an issue that has to be looked at. It is an issue that

:12:00. > :12:03.needs to be reported responsibly and I'm not sure that this front page in

:12:04. > :12:12.the Sunday Times achieved that. As you rightly said the Trojan horse

:12:13. > :12:17.plot, number one, in Birmingham was not as big as people thought. There

:12:18. > :12:20.was an official Government cross-party enquiry into it that

:12:21. > :12:26.concluded that a lot of the fears were unsubstantiated. None of that

:12:27. > :12:31.is to take away from what this headteacher has experienced and her

:12:32. > :12:40.concerns for our own safety which is an incredibly frightening. But we

:12:41. > :12:45.are in a context where the Muslim population in the UK is very

:12:46. > :12:48.besieged and it has become acceptable to scapegoat and demonise

:12:49. > :12:51.that minute in a way would not do it any other community and I think that

:12:52. > :12:55.needs to be care in the way this is reported because the impression

:12:56. > :13:01.created is that we are dealing with Islamist extremists and conflating

:13:02. > :13:04.that the religious conservativism which acts which different things.

:13:05. > :13:12.And making much more about the naturally is the case. I want to

:13:13. > :13:19.look at the mail On Sunday briefly. Allegations against Edward Heath. We

:13:20. > :13:25.have known that ever teeth and others have been accused for some

:13:26. > :13:28.time of widespread paedophilia. Lee and Britain died just before he was

:13:29. > :13:34.officially cleared. His family blamed the failure to exonerate him

:13:35. > :13:42.as a contributory factor in his death. Another Lord was also

:13:43. > :13:48.accused. A lot of the allegations have been viewed as being fantasy,

:13:49. > :13:54.basically. This one particular called Nick who has been seen as a

:13:55. > :13:58.source of a lot of his allegations. However this is the Chief Constable

:13:59. > :14:06.of Wiltshire Police who is investigating. It is sources close

:14:07. > :14:14.to him. They say he is 120% sure of the allegations against Edward Heath

:14:15. > :14:18.had totally convincing. The rationale for the stories he did

:14:19. > :14:23.drive a car. One of the claims made by those who supported Heath and

:14:24. > :14:26.dismissed the allegations are that he could not have driven to commit

:14:27. > :14:31.these offences because it did not drive. He was always driven by the

:14:32. > :14:37.Government driver. There are photos in the story of him at the wheel of

:14:38. > :14:46.this rubber 2000 car that he bought. -- Rover. Other witnesses talking

:14:47. > :14:49.about him say that he did drive a car. Maybe it is a little chink of

:14:50. > :14:56.light for those who believe in it. There are a long series of quotes a

:14:57. > :15:00.from the source. Close similarities to accounts given to those who have

:15:01. > :15:06.come forward with same names and times and places and incidents

:15:07. > :15:10.coming forward. Stories and details dovetail. Contains disturbing stuff.

:15:11. > :15:17.Investigators have been shocked by what they have learned. Fast Edward

:15:18. > :15:28.Heath cannot reply and respond to these now. Rachel, do you like

:15:29. > :15:43.football? Like underdogs winning. Should we say "bigly"? The FA Cup

:15:44. > :15:48.has been fantastic. Yesterday was a bigger shock of the lot. Lincoln

:15:49. > :15:56.City going to bodily who play pretty much a first-team. -- Burnley. The

:15:57. > :16:01.first time in a hundred years and non-league side is whose last eight

:16:02. > :16:12.of the tour. Satellite playing Arsenal Monday night. Millwall won

:16:13. > :16:26.yesterday. That was lost, there victory over the champions. --

:16:27. > :16:30.Sutton. They would all want magister united away. It would be all over

:16:31. > :16:42.television and the biggest payday. -- Manchester United. They probably

:16:43. > :16:46.would not want Millwall home. We take a look at tomorrow's front

:16:47. > :16:59.pages every evening at 20 to 11 here on BBC News.

:17:00. > :17:05.We have a westerly breeze today. The best of the sunshine will be across

:17:06. > :17:12.more sheltered eastern parts of the UK and signs of cloud breaking up in

:17:13. > :17:13.Suffolk earlier on. Grey skies in Cheshire River could find some
