0:00:15 > 0:00:19Hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the papers will be

0:00:19 > 0:00:20bringing us tomorrow.

0:00:20 > 0:00:22With me are Chris Hope, Chief Political Correspondent

0:00:22 > 0:00:28of The Telegraph and Jessica Elgot, Political Correspondent

0:00:29 > 0:00:30of the Guardian.

0:00:30 > 0:00:34Many of tomorrow's front pages are already in.

0:00:34 > 0:00:36The Telegraph features news that an army major,

0:00:36 > 0:00:39who faced seven investigations over the death of an Iraqi

0:00:39 > 0:00:41teenager 15 years ago, is apparently set to face

0:00:41 > 0:00:43an eighth inquiry.

0:00:43 > 0:00:46The FT pictures striking university lecturers,

0:00:46 > 0:00:48who began a series of month-long walk outs today in a dispute

0:00:48 > 0:00:57over potential cuts to their pension payments.

0:00:57 > 0:01:02The Express says "exodus of the EU migrants" after figures revealed

0:01:02 > 0:01:06around 130,000 left the UK in the 12 months to September last year -

0:01:06 > 0:01:08the highest level for a decade.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10The Mirror leads on a campaign calling for MPs to vote

0:01:10 > 0:01:13to change organ donor laws, which would see an opt-out system

0:01:13 > 0:01:16brought in - it features the picture of a 10-year-old transplant patient.

0:01:16 > 0:01:18The Guardian reports on the resignation of Unicef's

0:01:18 > 0:01:19deputy executive director Justin Forsyth, following

0:01:19 > 0:01:24accusations of inappropriate behaviour towards female staff

0:01:24 > 0:01:28while chief executive of Save the Children.

0:01:28 > 0:01:33The Metro also has that story and it features Meghan Markle after police

0:01:33 > 0:01:43want the hate crime investigation after a suspicious package appeared.

0:01:43 > 0:01:47Lots of different stories on the front page tonight. No particular

0:01:47 > 0:01:52consensus. You were looking to see what I was at. I am looking at the

0:01:52 > 0:02:01magic only I can see.Clever. Website with the Guardian. Charity

0:02:01 > 0:02:05chief forced to resign over inappropriate behaviour, this is

0:02:05 > 0:02:09Justin Forsyth stepping down from Unicef, but about all allegations

0:02:09 > 0:02:14come old behaviour.That is it. It's an interesting statement, it didn't

0:02:14 > 0:02:20go along be played book we have seen as the story about various

0:02:20 > 0:02:24allegations of harassment or inappropriate behaviours has been

0:02:24 > 0:02:29ruling for quite a few days now. Justin Forsythe left Save the

0:02:29 > 0:02:33Children in the week of allegations made about him and he has a new job

0:02:33 > 0:02:37at Unicef. In his statement, you mix it clear he doesn't believe he needs

0:02:37 > 0:02:44to step down for those old allegations made against him at Save

0:02:44 > 0:02:50the Children. He says is no doubt in my mind that some of the allegations

0:02:50 > 0:03:00are an attempt to do damage for the case for a. -- for aid. The reason

0:03:00 > 0:03:05he is leaving is not to continue to damage it. Controversial.Seriously?

0:03:05 > 0:03:08Is believable he is saying these things. Don't forget these

0:03:08 > 0:03:12allegations only became apparent this week when three women spoke to

0:03:12 > 0:03:18the BBC's PM programme about allegations about his behaviour in

0:03:18 > 0:03:242011, 20 15. That then emerged and then yesterday Tory politicians and

0:03:24 > 0:03:32a piece I wrote for the Telegraph yesterday. People like Paul Eunan

0:03:32 > 0:03:36O'Kane to have a go at Save the Children or the aid budget or

0:03:36 > 0:03:41Unicef, they are looking at the guys behaviour and saying why is it

0:03:41 > 0:03:49appropriate for him to have a senior role at Unicef?Looking at the

0:03:49 > 0:03:53ongoing Oxfam story, this time it is he the deciding the cannot continue

0:03:53 > 0:03:59to operate while they continue their investigation.This is a different

0:03:59 > 0:04:04story about charities going back to the way that Oxfam has not said that

0:04:04 > 0:04:09some of its aid workers were behaving badly towards beneficiaries

0:04:09 > 0:04:17in Haiti. It emerged recently.It was sexual exploitation.Yes. It is

0:04:17 > 0:04:20Haiti correctly saying to Oxfam you're not welcome here if that is

0:04:20 > 0:04:26how you will behave. They had to not only apologise to their donors and

0:04:26 > 0:04:30to MPs and to the department who give them cash, but they said that

0:04:30 > 0:04:33they have gone and made representations of the Government of

0:04:33 > 0:04:39Haiti and they have decided this is the best course of action to take.

0:04:39 > 0:04:47Let's move on to the Financial Times. This is university lecturers

0:04:47 > 0:04:49taking strike action because they are concerned because of changes to

0:04:49 > 0:04:52pension they will be losing out tens of thousands of pounds a year, but

0:04:52 > 0:04:57of course it means that students will not get hot. It's all happening

0:04:57 > 0:05:05in the world of universities. This is another issue about the vice

0:05:05 > 0:05:12chancellors who are paid megabucks. -- students will not get hot. This

0:05:12 > 0:05:17is a reform pushed by vice chancellors, which perhaps wasn't

0:05:17 > 0:05:19politically the greatest...Students are paying through the nose for a

0:05:19 > 0:05:30student fees. They announced a reform about fees, but it is an

0:05:30 > 0:05:38issue.Durham Newcastle and Kent have said we need to find a

0:05:38 > 0:05:45resolution about them. The head of Newcastle said we think that a lot

0:05:45 > 0:05:49of these people striking have got a point and perhaps we need to rethink

0:05:49 > 0:05:55this. It looks that there is room for a new verse there, but there are

0:05:55 > 0:05:59more strikes planned and plans to extend action into June which would

0:05:59 > 0:06:03be potentially over exams, so it is quite serious. The average vice

0:06:03 > 0:06:13traveller is paid ten grand is up in a year. Big-money even for the BBC.

0:06:13 > 0:06:21-- Vice Chancellor is paid £240,000. Some students are acting for a

0:06:21 > 0:06:29refund on their tuition. Why not? It is a market. If you are planning

0:06:29 > 0:06:38money. Why not? I think the Government should encourage students

0:06:38 > 0:06:42to get a refund from a university that doesn't give them education. It

0:06:42 > 0:06:46is a market. Get your money back. There was some polling that came out

0:06:46 > 0:06:51this afternoon about it and most students said they are fully

0:06:51 > 0:06:54supportive of it, they see that it is quite an insecure job with people

0:06:54 > 0:06:59on short-term contracts and I think it takes quite a long time for that

0:06:59 > 0:07:05to be a secure profession. Certainly not a well-paid profession and

0:07:05 > 0:07:09students have sympathy. The Vice Chancellor will eat it if they get

0:07:09 > 0:07:20refunds on courses. -- hate it. But like this is a misleading headline.

0:07:20 > 0:07:29130,000 people going home.The highest level for a decade.Yes, you

0:07:29 > 0:07:35might think from that headline that migration to the UK is going down,

0:07:35 > 0:07:40but it's not. It actually has gone up. Net migration for non-EU

0:07:40 > 0:07:47countries went up by 40,000 over the same period. Net migration is

0:07:47 > 0:07:56roughly about 240,000.That is about Coventry. An extra commentary.That

0:07:56 > 0:07:59is 2.5 times over what the Government would like to be when

0:07:59 > 0:08:03they said that net migration should be in the tens of thousands. You

0:08:03 > 0:08:12might have thought they might want to say another Coventry has arrived

0:08:12 > 0:08:16but instead they are reassuring them they are going on.This is about the

0:08:16 > 0:08:19difference between EU and non-EU migrants. There has always been the

0:08:19 > 0:08:24option to stop non-EU migrants but we haven't because the skills are

0:08:24 > 0:08:31required.I think this should be a real cause for concern, the fact

0:08:31 > 0:08:35that there are so many EU migrants who have clearly decided that their

0:08:35 > 0:08:39future doesn't lie in this country, maybe they don't feel welcome in

0:08:39 > 0:08:42this country, and they have skills that we need, particularly in

0:08:42 > 0:08:47hospitals. I think... I don't think this is something we should be proud

0:08:47 > 0:08:53of.If they remain here, they can get a British passport. It is a

0:08:53 > 0:09:02shame they are going home. I have my own views as well as the paper's

0:09:02 > 0:09:09views.I think it must be... It's not just about your general rates to

0:09:09 > 0:09:12say any place, is it, it's about do you feel like this places the

0:09:12 > 0:09:17welcoming place for you, is it a home for you? You might be able to

0:09:17 > 0:09:23have your rights, but perhaps people feel this is fundamental. I think

0:09:23 > 0:09:27it's not surprising that quite a few people might.Quite a lot of people

0:09:27 > 0:09:32are still coming. To a lot of people it so attractive. A lot of students

0:09:32 > 0:09:40in particular. Paying huge fees to universities. It's so circular. The

0:09:40 > 0:09:47Huffington Post. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's suspicious substance

0:09:47 > 0:09:53skier treated as hate crime. The white powder about to be toxic,

0:09:53 > 0:09:58thankfully it was harmless, but still very chilling when it arrives.

0:09:58 > 0:10:01Quite, and it shows that the happy bubble around this couple before

0:10:01 > 0:10:07they get married in spring which is wonderful and they have chewed up

0:10:07 > 0:10:12the papers in this grim February, there are always threats to

0:10:12 > 0:10:17high-profile individuals. It seems it was a race hate crime, because

0:10:17 > 0:10:21Meghan Markle is from a mixed race background, is about is why they are

0:10:21 > 0:10:26saying that.It was a similar package delivered to the House of

0:10:26 > 0:10:31Commons.It was delivered to the Home Secretary, Amber Rudd. It

0:10:31 > 0:10:36caused quite a kerfuffle dancers in the corridor when a package arrived.

0:10:36 > 0:10:42There was a lot of police around. -- kerfuffle downstairs. It is

0:10:42 > 0:10:48incredibly worrying. It turned out to be harmless. We must let Chris

0:10:48 > 0:10:54talk about this. We will never hear the end of if we don't.I do a

0:10:54 > 0:11:04podcast. I interviewed Michael Gove...This is a ban on plastic

0:11:04 > 0:11:12straws looming.I said to him that there is a concern to the BBC's

0:11:12 > 0:11:20excellent programmer Blue Planet, about the amount of plastic in the

0:11:20 > 0:11:29ocean. He said watch this space. He also told me he was a big fan of the

0:11:29 > 0:11:37arteries and told me he preferred Brian Aldridge. -- the archers.

0:11:37 > 0:11:46There is a real momentum building behind this idea of single use. 40

0:11:46 > 0:11:51MPs have given up using plastic relent. Michael Gove seems to view

0:11:51 > 0:11:55this as somewhat of a personal crusade. It's a great story and will

0:11:55 > 0:12:00be interesting to see...He is one of the few ministers in Government

0:12:00 > 0:12:06doing stuff. You may not agree with him, you may not...But what about

0:12:06 > 0:12:13Brexit?We are getting sovereignty back of this country, what is going

0:12:13 > 0:12:20to be different? Here is in example of a good thing.I am thinking about

0:12:20 > 0:12:24buying an old school one might you would have had in your cocktail

0:12:24 > 0:12:33table.Will you have a strength for cocktails?Yes, any time. We cannot

0:12:33 > 0:12:44drink in here. Finally, where Ari? Who are we looking at? I couldn't

0:12:44 > 0:12:52work out which camera I was on. The Daily Mirror. Children waiting for

0:12:52 > 0:12:56transplants or having had transplants urging MPs to vote in

0:12:56 > 0:13:01favour of this idea of opting out of being an ordained owner rather than

0:13:01 > 0:13:07opting in.This should be a really crucial moments tomorrow when MPs

0:13:07 > 0:13:11vote on matters and it's something the Prime Minister in her speech

0:13:11 > 0:13:15said she would support it and it is quickly radical move meaning you

0:13:15 > 0:13:18don't have to carry those organ donor cards any more, you don't have

0:13:18 > 0:13:22to take those boxes when you fill in forms. It will be that you are

0:13:22 > 0:13:26automatically opted in rather than... You need to say when you

0:13:26 > 0:13:32want to opt out.Great idea. It will go through tomorrow in the Commons,

0:13:32 > 0:13:36causing panic at the mirror, because Theresa May backed their campaign.

0:13:36 > 0:13:42They hate it.That is cognitive dissonance. I just want to say

0:13:42 > 0:13:47before we wrap up, my esteemed colleague in the newsroom has sent

0:13:47 > 0:13:55me a note about the population of Coventry. It is 250,000, not

0:13:55 > 0:14:01240,000. This is the kind of service they get.Tremendous resources at

0:14:01 > 0:14:06the BBC.That is it from us. You can see all the front pages online.

0:14:06 > 0:14:18Lovely to see you both, thank you for coming in.
