0:00:00 > 0:00:02where a weekly get together quickly gets out of hand.

0:00:02 > 0:00:03Mark Kermode shares his thoughts on that

0:00:03 > 0:00:07and the rest of the week's top releases in the Film Review.

0:00:17 > 0:00:20Hello and welcome to our look ahead to what the papers

0:00:20 > 0:00:22will be bringing us tomorrow.

0:00:22 > 0:00:23With me are entertainment journalist, Caroline Frost,

0:00:23 > 0:00:32and parliamentary journalist, Tony Grew.

0:00:32 > 0:00:43Carolyn covers more subject of a new! -- you.Yes.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45Many of tomorrow's front pages are already in:

0:00:45 > 0:00:48The Financial Times features a warning from Donald Trump's most

0:00:48 > 0:00:50senior trade adviser that there will be no exemptions

0:00:50 > 0:00:52from proposed metal import tariffs.

0:00:52 > 0:00:55The Times also leads on tensions over proposed charges for selling

0:00:55 > 0:00:57steel to America, focusing on Theresa May's opposition

0:00:57 > 0:00:58to the President's plan.

0:00:58 > 0:01:01Staying with US trade on the front of The i -

0:01:01 > 0:01:04the newspaper reports that US lobbyists are urging the UK to end

0:01:04 > 0:01:07geographic product protection as part of a future trade deal.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10The Telegraph's main story looks at the investigation into historic

0:01:10 > 0:01:13abuse claims against Iraq veterans - its picture features Oscar hopeful

0:01:14 > 0:01:15Margot Robbie, ahead of the 90th Academy Awards this evening.

0:01:16 > 0:01:18The Metro leads on the Prime Minister's promise to overhaul

0:01:18 > 0:01:23planning rules to kickstart what it calls a 'housing revolution'.

0:01:23 > 0:01:26The Express reports that millions are facing unexpected tax bills

0:01:26 > 0:01:29after not taking advice before accessing their pension pots -

0:01:30 > 0:01:32it also carries a picture of Sir Roger Banister,

0:01:32 > 0:01:35who has died at the age of 88.

0:01:35 > 0:01:38And The Guardian carries claims the government missed an opportunity

0:01:38 > 0:01:41to reduce losses at Carillion - it also features allegations that

0:01:41 > 0:01:44Sir Bradley Wiggins and Team Sky abused doping rules to secure his

0:01:44 > 0:01:532012 Tour de France win.

0:01:53 > 0:02:00You keep looking above my shoulder, it is only the present vacancy is

0:02:00 > 0:02:06the magic of those graphics. This housing revolution that the Prime

0:02:06 > 0:02:10Minister has ordered. Not enough houses being built and councils

0:02:10 > 0:02:17being told to get a move on.Ongoing crisis. We have been hearing about

0:02:17 > 0:02:25this the years. Driving through London, NT, dark mansion blocks. It

0:02:25 > 0:02:31clarifies to me that image that there are all these homeless people,

0:02:31 > 0:02:38people struggling to find properties throughout the land and we are told

0:02:38 > 0:02:43not enough housing. We need to bring those two images together. Theresa

0:02:43 > 0:02:49May saying take your share of the responsibility. Contribute to the

0:02:49 > 0:02:56solution.Market forces are at work so what is the live Rich?Find it

0:02:56 > 0:03:09difficult to understand what the Lethbridge years. -- Lethbridge.

0:03:09 > 0:03:24Leverage. It says that she is risking a backlash on Tory voters. A

0:03:24 > 0:03:31cynic would suggest that because the Tories will take a considerable

0:03:31 > 0:03:39beating in council elections in May, there is a chance to put forward

0:03:39 > 0:03:47this policy. If we look at the building programme after the first

0:03:47 > 0:03:52and Second World War, centrally organised plans by government so I

0:03:52 > 0:03:57think the government is thinking about taking some sort of central

0:03:57 > 0:04:01role is useful but they are not doing that, they are not planning

0:04:01 > 0:04:12for the whole country.Look at the Times, Jamie Oliver, think in a

0:04:12 > 0:04:19different gear.Very interesting. All we get is we get bombarded with

0:04:19 > 0:04:25health TV shows, cookery books always peppering the top ten in

0:04:25 > 0:04:32every bookshelf. Any time Jamie Oliver brings out a book, they fly

0:04:32 > 0:04:37off the shelves are clearly they are not reaching the people he is

0:04:37 > 0:04:43concerned about. He is saying people on smaller incomes, good food is a

0:04:43 > 0:04:50luxury they cannot always afford and fast to impose these ideas on them,

0:04:50 > 0:04:55that good food should be easy to find, make yourself, is to impose a

0:04:55 > 0:05:00really quite patronising and it is not getting to the root of the

0:05:00 > 0:05:05problem of so many people in deprived areas in particular.Choice

0:05:05 > 0:05:12costs money. Yes. Jamie Oliver gets a lot of abuse, he does not have to

0:05:12 > 0:05:19do this. He is a hugely successful author, television personality but

0:05:19 > 0:05:27he has made a crusade to tackle childhood obesity and I am listening

0:05:27 > 0:05:31to the point he is making although he has made it in quite a blunt way.

0:05:31 > 0:05:41The concept of middle-class logic does not work when you are poor. If

0:05:41 > 0:05:46you live in a poorer area of the country, you are less likely to have

0:05:46 > 0:05:52access to cheap, fresh fruit and vegetables. The shops around you may

0:05:52 > 0:06:01sell pieces and oven chips. I think there are systemic issues here. --

0:06:01 > 0:06:10pizzas. But he is always being attacked. One saying a patronising

0:06:10 > 0:06:20upper middle class movement.I do not see it as an attack but is

0:06:20 > 0:06:30supporting his argument. It is not willpower that is the problem is

0:06:30 > 0:06:35what they are saying.I can understand why you read it that way,

0:06:35 > 0:06:48just to be nice view. LAUGHTER The good news it is on the launch of a

0:06:48 > 0:06:52report which has been researched and compiled with the aim of tackling

0:06:52 > 0:07:00this problem.People apart from privileged celebrity chefs imposing

0:07:00 > 0:07:08shredded kale are really there damnedest to try and sort out this

0:07:08 > 0:07:16problem.I would rather go hungry. Row over docking of snowbound staff

0:07:16 > 0:07:23pay. This is the Scottish edition of this paper.Minister has threatened

0:07:23 > 0:07:28employers with the prospect of legal action if a dog is the wages of

0:07:28 > 0:07:33staff after last week 's snow shut down. The government was very clear

0:07:33 > 0:07:39about the dangers of people going out in snowstorms and the transport

0:07:39 > 0:07:44minister was particularly vocal, telling people they should not be

0:07:44 > 0:07:48going out unless their journey is absolutely necessary. Trade unions

0:07:48 > 0:07:54saying hundreds of workers pressured to travel to work during that

0:07:54 > 0:07:59weather. A lot of people in the country will have an opinion on

0:07:59 > 0:08:05this. Bad weather is one thing, whether so severe that the

0:08:05 > 0:08:12government is telling you to stay home. And the other issue is who

0:08:12 > 0:08:19will pay for people not turning up to work?Billion pounds lost today

0:08:19 > 0:08:29in GDP which is about one fifth of our daily GDP.All of that is put

0:08:29 > 0:08:34into the pockets of plumbers because so many of my associates have been

0:08:34 > 0:08:41complaining about blockages. I agree, it was quite rightly, for

0:08:41 > 0:08:48once, we always fall apart in the south at the merest hint of a

0:08:48 > 0:08:54snowfall but this did affect the entire country and, specifically,

0:08:54 > 0:08:58people in Scotland and Wales were very harshly affected. It does seem

0:08:58 > 0:09:05a bit harsh, I think, for employers to be docking peoples pay. It was

0:09:05 > 0:09:13the classic beyond my control circumstances. So many excuses are

0:09:13 > 0:09:17labelled at employers but the once people were quite right to stay put.

0:09:17 > 0:09:25It seems quite harsh. American pie will be served. A push to sell

0:09:25 > 0:09:32Cornish pasty is in the UK. Protected status for regional food

0:09:32 > 0:09:44to be dropped. -- pasties. This comes as Mr Trump wants to impose

0:09:44 > 0:09:50tariffs on steel. Apparently they want their American pie and eat it

0:09:50 > 0:09:59too. This will have implications. Whether they decide this is

0:09:59 > 0:10:05something, I do not care about expensive cheese, I am quite happy

0:10:05 > 0:10:12with my American version...But do you want your Cornish pasties to be

0:10:12 > 0:10:18properly Cornish?I do not know what that means. I am the wrong person to

0:10:18 > 0:10:26ask about this.I might get it wrong. I do not want to offend. I do

0:10:26 > 0:10:36not want them to gang up on me again.I am so sorry. What would you

0:10:36 > 0:10:43like to know? This is part of the trade-off we need to have fought

0:10:43 > 0:10:48Brexit. It may not get past EU food rules but under a trade deal they

0:10:48 > 0:10:54may be able to import that. It should give a great opportunities

0:10:54 > 0:10:59for UK products. It is the whole argument we had about Lauren 80

0:10:59 > 0:11:05chicken. If people want to buy cheap chlorinated chicken they should be

0:11:05 > 0:11:10allowed to. And consumers will choose but again it brings us back

0:11:10 > 0:11:14to the poorest.Michael Gove to stop want us to have lower food

0:11:14 > 0:11:20standards.That's correct. The current environment Minister has

0:11:20 > 0:11:28said he aspires for higher standards than the EU. This is part of a high

0:11:28 > 0:11:38government. Of how far we divert from EU rules.America does ban food

0:11:38 > 0:11:42based on hygiene and all sorts of reasons.Cheap American chickens

0:11:42 > 0:11:47have more hormones in them and would have been bred in condition is not

0:11:47 > 0:11:53acceptable under EU standards. In the Telegraph, Margot Robbie, who is

0:11:53 > 0:12:02nominated for her role as the ice skater Tonia Harding. A hugely

0:12:02 > 0:12:10different atmosphere at the Oscars because of the Mitu and Time's Up

0:12:10 > 0:12:24movement. -- MeToo.They will also be wearing a new badge following the

0:12:24 > 0:12:30gun shooting in Florida. It is a politicised award season. Possibly

0:12:30 > 0:12:32unprecedented although there have been Independent protists made in

0:12:32 > 0:12:39years receding but this is a grand, globally also movement and we will

0:12:39 > 0:12:46see it all sort of things. -- observed. Jimmy Kibble has said

0:12:46 > 0:12:52there is only so much he can say. On the other hand, they also have to

0:12:52 > 0:12:57preserve the myth that has been so effectively shattered that this is

0:12:57 > 0:13:02fairytale land and has the moral high ground that it still wants to

0:13:02 > 0:13:06sell its stories of great justice and great overcoming and

0:13:06 > 0:13:10redemptions, all the things that make big-screen movies is a powerful

0:13:10 > 0:13:15and yet we have had this backlash. What is going on in the background

0:13:15 > 0:13:27is not at all gratifying.Global change. Is it? We will see if the

0:13:27 > 0:13:31change is permanent and that is my concern. A lot of noise but no new

0:13:31 > 0:13:37guidelines, no one saying these are the new rules under which Hollywood

0:13:37 > 0:13:43would operate. I am not saying that noise is a bad thing but what

0:13:43 > 0:13:48concrete progress will be made is important. We have the Alliance of

0:13:48 > 0:13:53women, the new draft regulations, we have not seen concrete

0:13:53 > 0:13:58demonstrations but things coming out of it.That is the paper 's full

0:13:58 > 0:14:00tonight.

0:14:00 > 0:14:03Don't forget you can see the front pages of the papers online

0:14:03 > 0:14:09on the BBC News website.

0:14:09 > 0:14:13And if you miss the programme any evening you can watch it later

0:14:13 > 0:14:20We do, we go home and watch ourselves. Don't deny it.
