:00:01. > :00:11.confirmed by the Electoral Commission that Ennahda is well

:00:11. > :00:15.

:00:15. > :00:21.ahead in the vote. We now have World Business Report. This is

:00:21. > :00:29.World Business Report. Showdown in Brussels, eurozone leaders made to

:00:29. > :00:37.tackle the debt crisis. Ford heads for increased profits. Its finances

:00:37. > :00:47.are solid. In Singapore, the Dreamliner is set to take off three

:00:47. > :00:52.

:00:52. > :00:57.years later than planned due to production delays. The pressure is

:00:57. > :01:00.well and truly on for eurozone leaders today. They are meeting in

:01:00. > :01:05.Brussels to hammer out a comprehensive solution to the debt

:01:05. > :01:11.crisis. Central to the meeting will be attempts to reach agreement on

:01:11. > :01:14.boosting the bail-out fund. Leaders will be looking at the crucial

:01:14. > :01:19.issue of strengthening the banking system to make sure it can

:01:19. > :01:23.withstand any further shocks to the system. Another core issue will be

:01:23. > :01:28.deciding how much Greek debt to write off. There will be special

:01:28. > :01:36.attention on Italy, which is under intense pressure to cut its

:01:36. > :01:43.enormous debt. There are fears it could follow Greece. We go to

:01:43. > :01:52.Brussels. Let's talk about enlarging the bail-out fund, this

:01:52. > :01:59.is key, isn't it? There is speculation it will come in the

:02:00. > :02:03.form of an insurance scheme, is that workable? Only temporarily.

:02:03. > :02:09.Countries have limited the amount of capital that is at risk with the

:02:09. > :02:15.bail-out fund. We could give partial insurance and increase the

:02:15. > :02:20.headline the size of the fund, but it does not really help. What is

:02:20. > :02:24.going to be the acid test for the fund, is whether it will be able to

:02:24. > :02:29.bring down the borrowing costs for Italy and Spain down to sustainable

:02:29. > :02:35.levels, that will not be known today. Do you think that would

:02:35. > :02:44.happen if there was this insurance scheme in place? Will the ECB have

:02:44. > :02:54.to step in? Germany is resisting that. France is pushing for the ECB

:02:54. > :02:54.

:02:54. > :02:58.to be central to enlarging the other way from where we sit today

:02:58. > :03:05.unless the European Central Bank stepped in a much larger way for

:03:05. > :03:13.the panic to be stemmed reliably for the foreseeable future. If it

:03:13. > :03:19.is expanded and leveraged, it could temporally help. But it is a band

:03:19. > :03:25.aid and it is not going to last. is a very tricky situation for

:03:25. > :03:28.eurozone leaders, they want to work within the confines of the current

:03:28. > :03:34.framework, without having to go back to governments to get

:03:34. > :03:44.distilled past, because that is very sensitive politically, so you

:03:44. > :03:47.

:03:47. > :03:51.can see why it is important to get an agreement? -- this deal past.

:03:51. > :03:59.Yes, in 2010 the economic problems were rather limited. Since then the

:03:59. > :04:04.economic problems have got larger and larger. It has got to the point

:04:04. > :04:09.where it is no longer clear that there is enough political space in

:04:09. > :04:12.the eurozone area to reliably contain the crisis. With the

:04:13. > :04:22.European Central Bank, the decision-making at the ECB is

:04:23. > :04:24.

:04:24. > :04:30.majority based. It lies outside the normal government channels. It is a

:04:30. > :04:34.sad thing to say, unfortunately, at this point in time, democratic

:04:34. > :04:41.accountability does not seem to be compatible with the most sensible

:04:41. > :04:45.economic decisions that need to be taken. The ECB with its unlimited

:04:45. > :04:51.firepower has better decision- making mechanisms, it is the only

:04:51. > :05:00.thing that can stand the panic and give us time and safe to make the

:05:00. > :05:04.structural change necessary. Absolutely. Thank you. We go to the

:05:04. > :05:11.Singapore office. The Dreamliner finally takes wing, it has been a

:05:11. > :05:20.bit delayed, hasn't it? Yes, by a couple of hours. Hopefully the

:05:20. > :05:24.maiden commercial flight of the 787 will take off today. It has been

:05:25. > :05:29.three years in waiting because of large production delays.

:05:29. > :05:35.Development costs have been over budgeted in the billions of dollars.

:05:35. > :05:40.Everyone is saying that it is a milestone in aircraft design. It is

:05:40. > :05:46.built largely of hi-tech plastic rather than aluminium. Boeing says

:05:46. > :05:54.the new aircraft is 20% more fuel- efficient than its predecessor. It

:05:54. > :05:58.makes new roads profitable for airlines. The 787 is critical for

:05:58. > :06:06.gaining cost competitiveness. Going forward, analysts are saying that

:06:06. > :06:16.the success or failure will depend much on Japan. More than one-third

:06:16. > :06:16.

:06:16. > :06:24.of the Dreamliner is billed by Japanese companies. -- is built.

:06:24. > :06:30.Boeing says it hopes to build 10 planes per month by 2013. Hopefully

:06:30. > :06:35.in a couple of hours we will see the Dreamliner taking off. Thank

:06:35. > :06:39.you. Third-quarter earnings from Ford are released later today, the

:06:39. > :06:47.numbers are expected to be an improvement from this time last

:06:47. > :06:51.year. It is the 10th consecutive quarter of improved profit. It has

:06:51. > :07:01.been adding customers and cutting back on the huge discounts it

:07:01. > :07:01.

:07:01. > :07:07.offered to bring them in. It has big plans for Asia. In America big

:07:07. > :07:14.never went away. Vehicles like this one are helping to drive sales at

:07:14. > :07:20.Ford. The American car maker is in profit. The recovery has been kind

:07:20. > :07:25.to Ford. Since 2009 it became profitable again, its sales

:07:25. > :07:31.continue to grow faster up an impressive feat given how high the

:07:31. > :07:35.US unemployment rate is and the economic slowdown that brought the

:07:36. > :07:40.GM and Chrysler to the brink. The pieces continue to come together

:07:40. > :07:47.for Ford. A recent agreement with the Union workers in America will

:07:47. > :07:55.help it controlled labour costs. The company has won new customers

:07:55. > :08:00.while offering fewer discounts. need to be selling new products and

:08:00. > :08:08.looking to make sure that we have a prospect for the future of

:08:08. > :08:18.expanding. Can debt laden Ford win over Wall Street? Last week it

:08:18. > :08:24.moved one step closer. SNP lifted Ford's credit-rating. We have seen

:08:24. > :08:30.the improvement of the cashflow and the conclusion that their ability

:08:30. > :08:34.to stay profitable in North America is in good shape. Among American

:08:35. > :08:42.drivers, the quality rating has dropped over the past year. For

:08:42. > :08:48.investors, its ability to turn a profit seems more reliable. More

:08:48. > :08:54.stories to update you on. Profits at Amazon have dropped 73% after

:08:54. > :09:01.the company invested heavily in the Kindle computer. The company, the

:09:01. > :09:07.largest online internet retailer or made $63 million. Amazon forecast

:09:07. > :09:13.lower than expected sales for the next quarter. It is all change at

:09:13. > :09:18.the top for IBM. The global sales achieved will take over as chief

:09:18. > :09:25.executive in January. She will be one of the most powerful women in

:09:25. > :09:35.US business. Let's have a quick look at the markets. Worries that
