:02:07. > :02:14.TRANSLATION: I began might path three years ago, listening to the
:02:15. > :02:20.French people, it might policies, high values and slowly I became
:02:21. > :02:25.aware of a wave of respondents that swept away everything people had

:02:38. > :02:43.France wants honesty. The current five-year presidency which is coming
:02:44. > :02:48.to an end has been pathetic. It is time to start leading again from the
:02:49. > :02:52.front, in a way we've not done for three decades. A lot more on that on
:02:53. > :02:53.our website. Black friday is so last week -
:02:54. > :02:57.the discount bonanza may have only have been 2 days ago but retailers

:03:07. > :03:09.but while billons of dollars in transactions will be taking
:03:10. > :03:12.place, criminals will also be ratcheting up their efforts to get
:03:13. > :03:15.access to your account details. Experts are warning that there
:03:16. > :03:21.could be as many as six and half million cyber attacks from Friday
:03:22. > :03:23.to Monday as bank cards The increased traffic means that
:03:24. > :03:28.it's easier for hackers to make purchases on your account
:03:29. > :03:31.without you or your bank knowing. Globally, predictions for attacks
:03:32. > :03:34.during this busy shopping week And it's important to stay vigilant
:03:35. > :03:42.in the run up to Christmas - last year 76 million transactions
:03:43. > :03:45.were blocked because they were fraudulent in the three month lead
:03:46. > :03:50.up to the holiday - Joining me to discuss this
:03:51. > :04:10.is David Mole, the Head of Retail, Good to see you. Good morning. How
:04:11. > :04:18.big a deal is Cyber Monday because I know personally I have had so many
:04:19. > :04:25.details to shop online. It is one of the biggest online retail days for
:04:26. > :04:36.most retailers globally. Certainly, cyber crime is on the increase.
:04:37. > :04:43.Research shows 13% of consumers have experienced some online fraud in the
:04:44. > :04:48.past 12 months. That is only growing year after year, particularly around
:04:49. > :04:53.Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In the UK, a third of people have
:04:54. > :04:59.experienced financial fraud at least once and two thirds have experienced
:05:00. > :05:09.it more than once. So the numbers are quite high. Eight out of ten
:05:10. > :05:12.would not know how to spot a scam or fake websites are people need to be
:05:13. > :05:23.more aware especially during this shopping period. What are the red
:05:24. > :05:32.flags? A few basic ones. If a deal is too good to be true, it probably
:05:33. > :05:41.is. A lot of cyber-criminals set up pages and they will set up and
:05:42. > :05:45.replicate branded websites or they may take a completely fake website
:05:46. > :05:51.and rent it with names we have never seen before output deals in that
:05:52. > :05:57.attract us as consumers. We are so eager to get these deals, we have
:05:58. > :06:01.seen the media hype, the retailers spend a fortune on marketing and we
:06:02. > :06:07.are drawn into these deals and risk to be compromised. Just slow down,
:06:08. > :06:17.stop and think and analyse what you are looking at. If you are a victim,
:06:18. > :06:22.what do you do? Contact your bank, your retailer and do it as quickly
:06:23. > :06:29.as possible. They will take you through the steps. As consumers and
:06:30. > :06:37.shoppers - this is not specific to this time of the year - cyber crime
:06:38. > :06:41.is increasing. Particularly financial fraud. There are a few
:06:42. > :06:46.things consumers can do to be aware and if a deal is too good to be
:06:47. > :06:53.true, it is too good to be true. Make sure you have security
:06:54. > :06:58.installed. Thank you so much for coming in and sharing that advice.
:06:59. > :07:00.It is all was good but particularly the day on Cyber Monday.

:07:06. > :07:08.The hacking group is said to be demanding $73k in ransom money
:07:09. > :07:11.with a deadline, although it's not clear what that deadline is.

:07:14. > :07:27.In San Francisco, the public transport here trains, buses, even
:07:28. > :07:34.the iconic cable cars are run by this company. Nothing was disrupted
:07:35. > :07:42.but it will still be a troubling day to officials. They are attacking

:08:03. > :08:09.by the hacker and it should really have backup of these files. But
:08:10. > :08:13.there are still a couple of questions that remain. Firstly, if
:08:14. > :08:18.the attacker has this information, they could sell it on the black
:08:19. > :08:22.market they could be employee details, payroll information. Also,
:08:23. > :08:27.if it was able to attack the system, it still may have access to it.
