0:10:39 > 0:10:48# If tomorrow all the things were gone
0:10:52 > 0:10:59# I'd worked for all my life, and I had to start
0:10:59 > 0:11:00again
0:11:00 > 0:11:06# With just my children
0:11:06 > 0:11:11and my wife

0:13:01 > 0:13:06it's special and it carried us to a big, beautiful victory
0:13:06 > 0:13:14on November eighth.
0:13:20 > 0:13:27I want to recognise some of our friends that have helped us so much.
0:13:27 > 0:13:31Congressman Scott Perry, GT Thompson, a couple
0:13:31 > 0:13:34of my originals, Mike Kelly, who I watched on television,
0:13:34 > 0:13:35he was great.
0:13:35 > 0:13:38Where's Mike Kelly?
0:13:38 > 0:13:43Where is Mike Kelly?
0:13:43 > 0:13:44He's here someplace.
0:13:44 > 0:13:45Where is he?
0:13:45 > 0:13:47Boy, were you great on television this morning!
0:13:47 > 0:13:51And of course, one of our other originals, Congressman Tom Marino.
0:13:51 > 0:13:54Right?
0:13:54 > 0:13:58Thank you, thank you Mike, thank you Tom.
0:13:58 > 0:14:04As you know, there's another big gathering taking place
0:14:04 > 0:14:06As you may know, there's another big gathering taking place
0:14:06 > 0:14:12tonight in Washington, DC, did you hear about it?
0:14:12 > 0:14:17BOOING
0:14:17 > 0:14:20A large group of Hollywood actors...
0:14:20 > 0:14:24BOOING
0:14:24 > 0:14:29And Washington media...
0:14:29 > 0:14:31BOOING
0:14:31 > 0:14:33Are consoling each other in a hotel ballroom
0:14:33 > 0:14:40in our nation's capital right now.
0:14:41 > 0:14:46They are gathered together for the White House correspondents
0:14:46 > 0:14:50dinner without the president.
0:14:58 > 0:15:05And I could not possibly be more thrilled than to be more than 100
0:15:05 > 0:15:12miles away from Washington swamp, spending my evening with all of you.
0:15:16 > 0:15:22And with a much, much larger crowd, and much better people, right?
0:15:22 > 0:15:26Right?
0:15:48 > 0:15:51And look at the media back there, they would actually rather be here,
0:15:51 > 0:15:55I have to tell you.
0:15:55 > 0:15:59BOOING
0:16:01 > 0:16:05That's right.
0:16:22 > 0:16:28Media outlets, like CNN and MSNBC, are fake news.
0:16:28 > 0:16:38Fake news.
0:16:42 > 0:16:44They are sitting, and they are wishing, in Washington,
0:16:45 > 0:16:46they are watching right now.
0:16:46 > 0:16:49They would love to be with us here tonight.
0:16:49 > 0:16:56But they are trapped, at the dinner which will be very, very boring.
0:16:56 > 0:17:06But next year, maybe we'll make it more exciting
0:17:07 > 0:17:09for them in Washington, and we'll show up.
0:17:09 > 0:17:14But we have a good chance of showing up here again next year too.
0:17:14 > 0:17:19The truth is, there is no place I'd rather be than right
0:17:19 > 0:17:27here in Pennsylvania to celebrate our 100 day milestone,
0:17:27 > 0:17:32to reflect on an incredible journey together, and to get ready
0:17:32 > 0:17:38for the great, great battles to come.
0:17:38 > 0:17:42And that we will win in every case, OK?
0:17:42 > 0:17:47We will win. Because make no mistake,
0:17:47 > 0:17:52we are just beginning in our fight to make America great again.
0:17:59 > 0:18:04Now before we talk about my first 100 days, which has been very
0:18:04 > 0:18:12exciting and very productive, let's rate the media's 100 days.
0:18:12 > 0:18:16Should we do that?
0:18:21 > 0:18:24Because as you know, they are a disgrace.
0:18:24 > 0:18:29According to a morning consult poll, more than half of Americans say
0:18:29 > 0:18:35the media is out of touch with everyday Americans.
0:18:35 > 0:18:45And they have proven that.
0:18:46 > 0:18:48According to Media Research Centre, 89% of the media's coverage
0:18:48 > 0:18:50of our administration has been a negative and
0:18:50 > 0:18:55purposefully negative.
0:18:55 > 0:19:01Perhaps that's because according to the Centre for Public integrity,
0:19:01 > 0:19:0596% of journalists who made donations in the last election gave
0:19:05 > 0:19:08them to our opponent.
0:19:08 > 0:19:15Does anybody remember who our opponent was?
0:19:27 > 0:19:31CHANTING
0:19:31 > 0:19:35That was some opponent.
0:19:35 > 0:19:42Finally, according to a poll last year, from the Associated Press,
0:19:42 > 0:19:47only 6% of Americans have a lot of confidence in America.
0:19:47 > 0:19:49That's very bad.
0:19:49 > 0:19:53It's much lower than Congress, by the way.
0:19:53 > 0:19:58But I will give you an example of something really incredible.
0:19:58 > 0:20:01That's right, get them out of here.
0:20:01 > 0:20:05Get them out.
0:20:05 > 0:20:13BOOING
0:20:28 > 0:20:37CROWD CHANTS: USA!
0:20:37 > 0:20:46Thank you.
0:20:49 > 0:20:55Do we love our law enforcement, or what?
0:21:02 > 0:21:05And I want to thank the fire marshals, they have a lot
0:21:05 > 0:21:06of people standing outside.
0:21:06 > 0:21:08We really maxed out, we broke the all-time
0:21:08 > 0:21:11record for this arena.
0:21:11 > 0:21:12How old is this arena?
0:21:12 > 0:21:14This is not...
0:21:14 > 0:21:17We broke the all-time record.
0:21:17 > 0:21:22And I don't have a guitar, which is pretty tough.
0:21:22 > 0:21:28So just as an example of media, take the totally failing New York Times.
0:21:28 > 0:21:34BOOING
0:21:34 > 0:21:36Pretty soon they will only be on the Internet.
0:21:36 > 0:21:37The paper is getting smaller and smaller.
0:21:37 > 0:21:39You ever notice?
0:21:39 > 0:21:44Starting to look like a comic book, it's getting smaller.
0:21:44 > 0:21:47But I will tell you, because I watched and I used to be
0:21:47 > 0:21:49in the real estate business, they sold their beautiful New York
0:21:49 > 0:21:52Times building in Manhattan.
0:21:52 > 0:21:59A cathedral to journalism, such a beautiful, beautiful building.
0:21:59 > 0:22:02For around $130 million, and the group that bought its later
0:22:02 > 0:22:08sold it for approximately $500 million.
0:22:08 > 0:22:15Now they live at a very ugly office building in a crummy location.
0:22:15 > 0:22:19Next, they buy the Boston Globe newspaper, with losses
0:22:19 > 0:22:24for $1.3 billion.
0:22:24 > 0:22:27Invest millions and millions and millions of dollars to get it
0:22:27 > 0:22:31going, and in the end, they sell it for zero.
0:22:31 > 0:22:36They give it away.
0:22:36 > 0:22:41Then they write nasty editorials and op-eds telling me how I should
0:22:41 > 0:22:45be handling world events in our country.
0:22:45 > 0:22:48Tell me.
0:22:49 > 0:22:52But that's what we have.
0:22:52 > 0:22:56They are incompetent, dishonest people who after an election, had
0:22:56 > 0:23:01to apologise because they covered it, us, me, but all of us.
0:23:01 > 0:23:06They covered it so badly that they felt they were forced to
0:23:06 > 0:23:11apologise because their predictions were so bad.
0:23:11 > 0:23:21You remember their predictions?
0:23:21 > 0:23:24They lost a lot of people because of the way they covered.
0:23:24 > 0:23:25Here's the story.
0:23:25 > 0:23:28If the media's job is to be honest, and to tell the truth,
0:23:28 > 0:23:31then I think we would all agree the media deserves a very,
0:23:31 > 0:23:38very big fat failing grade.
0:23:38 > 0:23:44Very dishonest people.
0:23:44 > 0:23:47Not all of them, we call at the fake news, not all of them.
0:23:47 > 0:23:51Not all of them, we call it the fake news, not all of them.
0:23:51 > 0:23:52You notice now they are using...
0:23:52 > 0:23:54Everybody is using the word fake news.
0:23:54 > 0:23:58Where did you hear first, folks?
0:23:58 > 0:24:02By contrast, the last 100 days my administration has been
0:24:02 > 0:24:04delivering every single day for the great citizens
0:24:04 > 0:24:05of our country.
0:24:05 > 0:24:07Whether it's putting our coalminers back to work,
0:24:07 > 0:24:13protecting America's steel, and aluminium workers.
0:24:13 > 0:24:17We love that steel and aluminium.
0:24:17 > 0:24:21Eliminating job killing regulations, we are keeping one promise
0:24:21 > 0:24:25after another, and frankly, the people are really
0:24:25 > 0:24:32happy about it.
0:24:32 > 0:24:37They see what is happening.
0:24:37 > 0:24:41But to understand the historic progress that we have made,
0:24:41 > 0:24:45we must speak honestly about the situation
0:24:45 > 0:24:49that we and I inherited.
0:24:49 > 0:24:57Because believe me, the previous administration gave us a mess.
0:25:00 > 0:25:04For decades, our country has lived through the greatest jobs theft
0:25:04 > 0:25:07in the history of the world.
0:25:07 > 0:25:10You people know it better than anybody, in Pennsylvania.
0:25:10 > 0:25:14Our factories were shutting, our steel mills closed down,
0:25:14 > 0:25:17and our jobs were stolen away and shipped far away
0:25:17 > 0:25:21to other countries.
0:25:21 > 0:25:24Some of which you've never even heard of.
0:25:24 > 0:25:28Politicians sent troops to protect the borders of foreign nations,
0:25:28 > 0:25:35but left America's borders wide open for all to violate.
0:25:35 > 0:25:39We've spent billions and billions of dollars on one global
0:25:39 > 0:25:45project after another, and yet as gangs flooded
0:25:45 > 0:25:52into our country, we could not even provide safety for our own people.
0:25:52 > 0:25:56Our government rushed to join international agreements
0:25:56 > 0:26:00where the United States pays the costs, and bears the burden
0:26:00 > 0:26:05is while other countries get the benefits and pay nothing.
0:26:18 > 0:26:20This includes deals like the one-sided Paris Climate Accord.
0:26:20 > 0:26:22Where the United States pays billions of dollars
0:26:22 > 0:26:25while China, Russia, and India, have contributed
0:26:26 > 0:26:35and will contribute nothing.
0:26:39 > 0:26:41Does that remind you of the Iran Deal?
0:26:41 > 0:26:42How about that beauty, right?
0:26:42 > 0:26:45On top of all of that, it's estimated that full compliance
0:26:45 > 0:26:50with the agreement could ultimately shrink America's GDP by $2.5
0:26:50 > 0:26:56trillion over a 10-year period, that means factories and plants
0:26:56 > 0:27:00closing all over our country.
0:27:00 > 0:27:01Here we go again.
0:27:01 > 0:27:15Not with me, folks.
0:27:15 > 0:27:18Those are the facts, whether we like them or not.
0:27:18 > 0:27:21The dishonest media will not print them, will not report them,
0:27:21 > 0:27:24because the Washington media is part of the problem, their priorities
0:27:24 > 0:27:25are not my priorities and they are not your priorities.
0:27:25 > 0:27:34Believe me.
0:27:40 > 0:27:41Their agenda is not your agenda.
0:27:41 > 0:27:44I will be making a big decision on the Paris Accord
0:27:44 > 0:27:45over the next two weeks.
0:27:45 > 0:27:50And, we will see what happens.
0:27:50 > 0:27:54But they are all part of a broken system that has profited from this
0:27:54 > 0:27:58global theft and plunder of American wealth at the expense
0:27:58 > 0:28:03of the American worker.
0:28:03 > 0:28:06We are not going to let other countries take
0:28:06 > 0:28:07advantage of us any more.
0:28:07 > 0:28:10Because from now on, it's going to be America first.
0:28:10 > 0:28:19And I have to...
0:28:19 > 0:28:28CROWD CHANTS: USA!
0:28:40 > 0:28:42And I have to just interject, because as you know,
0:28:42 > 0:28:48I have been a big critic of China.
0:28:48 > 0:28:50I have been talking about currency manipulation for a long time.
0:28:50 > 0:28:53But I had to tell you that during the election,
0:28:53 > 0:28:54number one, they stopped.
0:28:54 > 0:28:56But more importantly, just to show you the dishonesty,
0:28:56 > 0:29:02we have currency manipulation by China, but China is helping us
0:29:02 > 0:29:09possibly or probably, with the North Korean situation.
0:29:09 > 0:29:10Which is a great thing.
0:29:10 > 0:29:14Great thing.
0:29:14 > 0:29:22I met with the president of China at great length in Florida,
0:29:22 > 0:29:25and we had long, long talks, hours and hours and hours.
0:29:25 > 0:29:27He's a good man.
0:29:27 > 0:29:29Now he's representing China, he's not representing us,
0:29:29 > 0:29:30but he's a good man.
0:29:30 > 0:29:39I believe he wants to get that situation taken care of.
0:29:48 > 0:29:50They have tremendous power and we will see what happens.
0:29:50 > 0:29:53But the media said, Donald Trump refuses to name China
0:29:53 > 0:29:54a currency manipulator.
0:29:54 > 0:29:58Now, think of this.
0:29:58 > 0:29:59We have to have a little flexibility.
0:29:59 > 0:30:01I meet with the president of China.
0:30:01 > 0:30:03I say, could you help us out with North Korea?
0:30:03 > 0:30:06You give them 93% of their different materials that they need, the food.
0:30:06 > 0:30:08You have a lot of power.
0:30:08 > 0:30:09We have a great relationship.
0:30:09 > 0:30:16Then the media says, why didn't he call Donald Trump?
0:30:16 > 0:30:18And why didn't Donald Trump at a meeting say, "You're
0:30:18 > 0:30:19a currency manipulator."
0:30:19 > 0:30:28So here's the story.
0:30:33 > 0:30:36"Listen, Mr President, will you help us out
0:30:36 > 0:30:37with North Korea, but, by the way, you are
0:30:37 > 0:30:38manipulating your currency."
0:30:38 > 0:30:40Doesn't work, right.
0:30:40 > 0:30:42You understand.
0:30:42 > 0:30:44So instead of saying that, let's see what happens.
0:30:44 > 0:30:46I honestly believe he's trying very hard.
0:30:46 > 0:30:50Not an easy situation for China, believe me.
0:30:50 > 0:30:53Not an easy situation but we have somebody there who's causing a lot
0:30:53 > 0:31:02of trouble for the world.
0:31:05 > 0:31:08seen they've sent back
0:31:08 > 0:31:10the coal coming out of North Korea.
0:31:10 > 0:31:11We'll see what happens.
0:31:11 > 0:31:14I think it is not exactly the right time to call China a currency
0:31:14 > 0:31:15manipulator right now.
0:31:15 > 0:31:24Do we agree with that?
0:31:26 > 0:31:31But they never say that, they say - why didn't he do it?
0:31:31 > 0:31:34So, I promised you, in my inaugural address, 100 days ago,
0:31:34 > 0:31:35that now arrives the hour of action.
0:31:35 > 0:31:37And we've, believe me, started from day 1.
0:31:37 > 0:31:39And that is what we've delivered.
0:31:39 > 0:31:40100 days of action.
0:31:40 > 0:31:42In fact, those people and others are exhausted.
0:31:42 > 0:31:46They've never seen anything like that.
0:31:46 > 0:31:55They've never seen anything like this.
0:31:55 > 0:31:57We are ending the off-shoring and bringing back our beautiful,
0:31:57 > 0:32:06wonderful, great American job.
0:32:06 > 0:32:08APPLAUSE
0:32:08 > 0:32:16We are eradicating the criminal gangs and cartels that
0:32:16 > 0:32:17have infiltrated our country.
0:32:17 > 0:32:19You are reading about them all the time.
0:32:19 > 0:32:21Some of you have big problems with them.
0:32:21 > 0:32:26Thank you for that sign.
0:32:26 > 0:32:33"Blacks for Trump" I love that guy.
0:32:33 > 0:32:35Thank you, man, that's great, that's really
0:32:35 > 0:32:36cool, I appreciate it.
0:32:36 > 0:32:39And we are taking steps to renegotiate or cancel any
0:32:39 > 0:32:44agreement that fails to protect American interests.
0:32:44 > 0:32:49Here are just some of our great achievements
0:32:49 > 0:32:50from the first 100 days.
0:32:50 > 0:32:55And I will tell you, in addition to that,
0:32:55 > 0:32:58we have built such strong foundations with the leaders
0:32:58 > 0:33:03of foreign countries and we're set to rock but we've great
0:33:03 > 0:33:07relationships with Germany and Japan and China and so many others.
0:33:07 > 0:33:08The UK.
0:33:08 > 0:33:10Such great relationships.
0:33:10 > 0:33:13That's part of the process.
0:33:13 > 0:33:17We've appointed and confirmed a brand new justice
0:33:17 > 0:33:22of the United States Supreme Court.
0:33:22 > 0:33:29APPLAUSE
0:33:29 > 0:33:33Justice Neil Gorsuch, who'll uphold the constitution
0:33:33 > 0:33:37and the right of Americans to govern their own affairs.
0:33:37 > 0:33:46And the last time a new Supreme Court Justice was confirmed
0:33:46 > 0:33:50in the first 100 days was 136 years ago, in 1881, and I was devastated
0:33:50 > 0:33:53to hear that because I thought I would be the only one
0:33:53 > 0:34:02to have done that.
0:34:05 > 0:34:09It's a long time ago.
0:34:09 > 0:34:15To protect our jobs and our economic freedom, I immediately withdrew
0:34:15 > 0:34:22the United States from the horrible, disastrous, would have been
0:34:22 > 0:34:30another Nafta but worse, transpacific partnership.
0:34:30 > 0:34:32That would have taken your jobs in Pennsylvania,
0:34:32 > 0:34:33that I can tell you.
0:34:33 > 0:34:35That was a total hoax.
0:34:35 > 0:34:41The TPP would have been a tremendous disaster for our country.
0:34:41 > 0:34:49And we are not going to surrender Pennsylvania jobs ever again,
0:34:49 > 0:34:55we have done that once before, it's not going to happen.
0:34:55 > 0:35:04We have just launched an investigation into foreign steel
0:35:08 > 0:35:16dumping, and aluminium dumping throughout our country.
0:35:16 > 0:35:18We are reviewing every single trade deal and wherever
0:35:18 > 0:35:20there is cheating, we will take immediate action and
0:35:20 > 0:35:21there will be penalty.
0:35:21 > 0:35:24We have with us tonight Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross,
0:35:24 > 0:35:26and one of the great, great people on fair trade and good
0:35:26 > 0:35:33trade, Mr Peter Navarro.
0:35:33 > 0:35:42Thank you.
0:35:43 > 0:35:47And we will renegotiate Nafta, and if we didn't get a good deal
0:35:47 > 0:35:50and a fair deal for our country, and I have been saying for a long
0:35:50 > 0:35:53time, we will either renegotiate or we will terminate.
0:35:53 > 0:35:55I announced the other day, we were going to terminate,
0:35:55 > 0:35:56everybody said we will terminate.
0:35:56 > 0:35:59Two people that I like very much, the president of Mexico
0:35:59 > 0:36:01and Prime Minister of Canada, they called up and said,
0:36:01 > 0:36:03could we negotiate?
0:36:03 > 0:36:04I said yes, we can renegotiate.
0:36:04 > 0:36:05So we will start a renegotiation.
0:36:05 > 0:36:09Hopefully it will be fair for everybody.
0:36:09 > 0:36:15And if it's not a fair deal for our country,
0:36:15 > 0:36:18because you have to understand - we have been on the wrong
0:36:18 > 0:36:21side of the Nafta deal with Canada and with a Mexico
0:36:21 > 0:36:23for many, many years.
0:36:23 > 0:36:24Many decades.
0:36:24 > 0:36:27We can't allow it to happen.
0:36:27 > 0:36:31So we are going to renegotiate, and if we can't make a fair deal
0:36:31 > 0:36:40for our companies and our workers, we will terminate Nafta.
0:36:53 > 0:36:55OK?
0:36:55 > 0:36:56Our directives will put brand-new Pennsylvania steel
0:36:56 > 0:36:58into the spine of America.
0:36:58 > 0:37:00We have ordered billions and billions of dollars in unpaid
0:37:00 > 0:37:03duties to be collected at the border from countries that break the rules,
0:37:03 > 0:37:05and that's just starting.
0:37:05 > 0:37:10It's going to be a lot coming in.
0:37:10 > 0:37:18We just want fairness, and I followed through on my promise
0:37:18 > 0:37:20and issued a new government directive to buy American
0:37:20 > 0:37:29and hire American.
0:37:32 > 0:37:37In just these first few months, we have created 99,000
0:37:37 > 0:37:39new reconstruction jobs, 40,000 new manufacturing jobs,
0:37:39 > 0:37:41and 27,000 new mining jobs.
0:37:41 > 0:37:44Who are our miners here?
0:37:44 > 0:37:49The miners finally, we are taking care of our miners.
0:37:49 > 0:37:58We love our miners.
0:37:59 > 0:38:02We have over 600,000 new jobs, and by the way, the stock
0:38:02 > 0:38:10market since our election, is through the roof.
0:38:10 > 0:38:13I believe from the point of the election, isn't it too bad
0:38:13 > 0:38:16that the Obama administration gets a lot of credit for those
0:38:16 > 0:38:17couple of months, but...
0:38:17 > 0:38:26It's all right.
0:38:26 > 0:38:27We're doing fine.
0:38:27 > 0:38:30But they get credit for that, because people started going wild
0:38:30 > 0:38:32with the stock, but...
0:38:32 > 0:38:38I believe we have a record, from the time we got elected,
0:38:38 > 0:38:40from November 8, we have a record, an all-time
0:38:40 > 0:38:42record, for the biggest increase in the stock market.
0:38:42 > 0:38:47So, I'm very happy about that.
0:38:47 > 0:38:49We have removed the shackles on energy exploration imposed
0:38:49 > 0:38:50by the last administration.
0:38:50 > 0:38:52Lifting the restrictions on the production of oil,
0:38:52 > 0:38:58shale, and natural gas.
0:38:58 > 0:39:05And very importantly for Pennsylvania, we have ended
0:39:05 > 0:39:07the war on beautiful, clean coal, and we are putting our
0:39:07 > 0:39:11great coal miners back to work.
0:39:18 > 0:39:22We love our miners.
0:39:22 > 0:39:28I'm also very pleased to say that we have finally cleared the way
0:39:28 > 0:39:31for the construction of the Keystone XL and the Dakota Access pipelines.
0:39:31 > 0:39:3748,000 new jobs.
0:39:39 > 0:39:41They couldn't get their approvals, we got them
0:39:41 > 0:39:44their approvals in 24 hours.
0:39:44 > 0:39:50One day.
0:39:50 > 0:39:53I want to tell you, the heads of those two companies, they did not
0:39:53 > 0:39:54know what the hell happened.
0:39:54 > 0:39:57They said how "did this happen?"
0:39:57 > 0:40:00They should go to bed and say their prayers.
0:40:00 > 0:40:10But that's going to be approximately 48,000 jobs.
0:40:12 > 0:40:18My administration has also scrapped a job
0:40:18 > 0:40:20killing regulation that was threatening
0:40:20 > 0:40:22our autoworkers.
0:40:22 > 0:40:29We want more cars made in the USA, and that's going to happen.
0:40:29 > 0:40:37We have created a new rule which requires that for every one
0:40:37 > 0:40:46new regulation, two old regulations must be eliminated.
0:40:51 > 0:40:53We have signed massive executive orders clearing up
0:40:53 > 0:41:01the environmental bureaucracy.
0:41:01 > 0:41:04We are going to have jobs, and you are seeing them already.
0:41:04 > 0:41:07We have also been very busy on the legislative front,
0:41:07 > 0:41:10which we have gotten no credit for, and yet I am signing away.
0:41:10 > 0:41:12I have signed 29 new bills, a record not surpassed
0:41:12 > 0:41:16since the Truman administration.
0:41:16 > 0:41:17This includes 13 resolutions to eliminate intrusive
0:41:17 > 0:41:24federal regulations, the most ever signed in our history.
0:41:27 > 0:41:34In keeping our promise to our veterans, I have signed legislation
0:41:34 > 0:41:35to extend veterans choice.
0:41:35 > 0:41:37And David, the head of Veterans Administration,
0:41:38 > 0:41:40is here with us tonight.
0:41:40 > 0:41:43David Shulkin.
0:41:43 > 0:41:53He's done an incredible job.
0:41:59 > 0:42:00He's done an incredible job.
0:42:00 > 0:42:02And we have increased by 42% the approval for veterans
0:42:02 > 0:42:04using the choice programme.
0:42:04 > 0:42:07I have also created an office of accountability at the VA,
0:42:07 > 0:42:08our message to federal workers is clear.
0:42:08 > 0:42:14If you fail our veterans, you will be held accountable, first time.
0:42:18 > 0:42:21To create accountability across government, I have issued
0:42:21 > 0:42:25a five-year ban on federal officials becoming lobbyists after they leave
0:42:25 > 0:42:30government service.
0:42:32 > 0:42:35I've got a lot of people in my staff who are not exactly
0:42:35 > 0:42:39happy with that one, but that's OK.
0:42:39 > 0:42:41I have issued a lifetime ban on federal officials becoming
0:42:42 > 0:42:48lobbyists for a foreign government.
0:42:49 > 0:42:54I've imposed these bans for a simple reason -
0:42:54 > 0:43:01it is time to drain the swamp...
0:43:02 > 0:43:08And that's what we're doing in Washington DC.
0:43:08 > 0:43:10Perhaps in no area have past governments sold out special
0:43:10 > 0:43:18interests and foreign lobbyists more than on the issue of immigration.
0:43:18 > 0:43:21Year after year you've pleaded for Washington to enforce
0:43:21 > 0:43:26our laws, as illegal immigration surged, refugees flooded
0:43:26 > 0:43:34in and lax vetting threatened your families' safety and security.
0:43:34 > 0:43:44Your pleas have finally been...
0:43:44 > 0:43:46CROWD CHANTS: Build the wall!
0:43:46 > 0:43:48Oh, don't worry, we're going to have the wall,
0:43:48 > 0:43:55don't worry about it.
0:43:55 > 0:44:00CROWD CHANTS: Build the wall!
0:44:07 > 0:44:10You know we've done so well at the border a lot of people are
0:44:10 > 0:44:17saying - oh, wow, maybe the President doesn't need the wall.
0:44:17 > 0:44:20We need the wall to stop the drugs and the human trafficking.
0:44:20 > 0:44:21We need the wall.
0:44:21 > 0:44:25In just 100 days we have taken historic steps to secure our border,
0:44:25 > 0:44:30imposed needed immigration control, like you've never seen before.
0:44:30 > 0:44:35Is that true?
0:44:35 > 0:44:39And properly screen and vet those seeking admission into our country.
0:44:39 > 0:44:42They are going to come in because they love our country, we're
0:44:42 > 0:44:47not taking them otherwise.
0:44:47 > 0:44:50We are operating on a very simple principle that our immigration
0:44:50 > 0:44:52system should put the needs of American workers, American
0:44:52 > 0:45:02families, American companies and American citizens first.
0:45:09 > 0:45:13I appointed a great military general, John Kelly,
0:45:13 > 0:45:23to lead the Department of Homeland Security.
0:45:23 > 0:45:29Since my election, we've already achieved an unprecedented 73%
0:45:29 > 0:45:37reduction in illegal crossings on our southern border.
0:45:39 > 0:45:44The greatest reduction in the history of our country
0:45:44 > 0:45:53and we just started.
0:45:53 > 0:45:56The world is getting the message - if you try to illegally
0:45:56 > 0:45:58enter the United States, you will be caught, detained,
0:45:58 > 0:46:05deported, or put in prison and it will happen.
0:46:10 > 0:46:15As I campaigned across the nation, I met with the grieving mothers
0:46:15 > 0:46:21and fathers of children who had been killed, viciously killed, violently
0:46:21 > 0:46:27killed by illegal immigrants.
0:46:27 > 0:46:32I made them a promise: We will protect American lives,
0:46:32 > 0:46:38your family member will not have died in vain.
0:46:44 > 0:46:47Last week we opened an office to support the victims
0:46:47 > 0:46:52of immigration crime, called VOICE, to make sure that no
0:46:52 > 0:46:58American victim is ever again ignored by their government.
0:46:58 > 0:47:04It's not going to happen any more.
0:47:05 > 0:47:09And many people are now talking, as I just said, and using this
0:47:09 > 0:47:13tremendous early progress on the border to say we don't
0:47:13 > 0:47:18need the kind of safety that we really do need,
0:47:18 > 0:47:20including the wall.
0:47:20 > 0:47:25We need safety, we need cameras.
0:47:25 > 0:47:29We need all of the things that we're going to be putting in and we need
0:47:29 > 0:47:32the wall and we will build the wall, as sure as you are
0:47:32 > 0:47:33standing there tonight.
0:47:33 > 0:47:40We need the wall.
0:47:40 > 0:47:48APPLAUSE.
0:47:48 > 0:47:53CROWD CHANTS: Build the wall!
0:47:57 > 0:47:59We'll build the wall, folks, don't even worry about it.
0:47:59 > 0:48:00Go to sleep.
0:48:00 > 0:48:03Go home, go to sleep, rest assured.
0:48:03 > 0:48:07That's the final thing, we need it.
0:48:07 > 0:48:11We need it and if the Democrats knew what the hell they were doing,
0:48:11 > 0:48:16they would achieve it so easy because we want to stop
0:48:16 > 0:48:18they would approve it so easy because we want to stop
0:48:18 > 0:48:21crime in our country, obviously they don't mind illegals
0:48:21 > 0:48:26coming in, they don't mind drugs pouring in.
0:48:26 > 0:48:30They don't mind, excuse me, MS13, coming in.
0:48:30 > 0:48:32We're getting them all out of here.
0:48:32 > 0:48:34Members of Congress, who'll be voting on border security
0:48:34 > 0:48:37have a simple choice, they can either vote to help drug
0:48:37 > 0:48:39cartels and criminal aliens trying toenter the United States,
0:48:39 > 0:48:42cartels and criminal aliens trying to enter the United States,
0:48:42 > 0:48:45like, frankly the Democrats are doing, or they can vote to help
0:48:45 > 0:48:51American citizens and American families be safe.
0:48:51 > 0:48:53That's the choice.
0:48:53 > 0:48:58Who do you want to represent you?
0:48:59 > 0:49:04Unfortunately Democrats in Congress have no leadership.
0:49:04 > 0:49:08They're rudderless.
0:49:08 > 0:49:14Senator Schumer is a bad leader.
0:49:14 > 0:49:16BOOING
0:49:16 > 0:49:18I've known him a long time.
0:49:18 > 0:49:25He is a bad leader, not a natural leader at all.
0:49:25 > 0:49:27He works hard to study leadership.
0:49:27 > 0:49:30When you have to study leadership you've go the problems.
0:49:30 > 0:49:33When you have to study leadership you've got problems.
0:49:33 > 0:49:35And his policies are hurting innocent Americans and making it
0:49:35 > 0:49:41easier for drug dealers to enter our country.
0:49:41 > 0:49:43Schumer is weak on crime and wants to raise your
0:49:43 > 0:49:48taxes through the roof.
0:49:48 > 0:49:53He is a poor leader.
0:49:53 > 0:49:57I've known him a long time, and he's leading the Democrats to doom.
0:49:57 > 0:49:59It's sad to see for our country, what is happening
0:49:59 > 0:50:05to the Democrat party.
0:50:05 > 0:50:10At the heart of my administration's efforts to restore the law,
0:50:10 > 0:50:15has been a nationwide crackdown on criminal gangs and that
0:50:15 > 0:50:21means taking the fight to the sancturary cities that
0:50:21 > 0:50:30shield these dangerous criminals.
0:50:39 > 0:50:45The last, very weak administration allowed thousands of gang members
0:50:45 > 0:50:48to cross our borders and enter into our communities where
0:50:48 > 0:50:53they wreaked havoc on our citizens.
0:50:53 > 0:50:58As you know, the bloodthirsty cartel known as MS13 has
0:50:58 > 0:51:06infiltrated our schools, threatening innocent children.
0:51:06 > 0:51:10We've seen the horrible assault and many killings
0:51:10 > 0:51:12We've seen the horrible assaults and many killings
0:51:12 > 0:51:15all over Long Island, where I grew up.
0:51:15 > 0:51:18We have seen the vicious spread of transnational
0:51:18 > 0:51:22gangs into all 50 states, and the human suffering
0:51:22 > 0:51:27they bring with them.
0:51:27 > 0:51:29I have been with the parents, I have seen the parents.
0:51:29 > 0:51:34It's devastation.
0:51:34 > 0:51:37A very respected General recently told me that MS13 are the equivalent
0:51:37 > 0:51:44in their meanness to Al-Qaeda.
0:51:45 > 0:51:50My administration will not rest until we have dismantled these
0:51:50 > 0:52:00violent gangs and we are doing it rapidly and we are sending them
0:52:00 > 0:52:03the hell out of our country, we are sending them back home
0:52:03 > 0:52:07where they belong.
0:52:08 > 0:52:11One by one, we are finding the illegal immigrant drug dealers,
0:52:11 > 0:52:16gang members, and killers and removing them from our country.
0:52:16 > 0:52:21And once they are gone, folks, you see what we are doing?
0:52:21 > 0:52:23They will not let them back in.
0:52:23 > 0:52:27They are not coming back.
0:52:27 > 0:52:31In this effort to restore safety to our country,
0:52:31 > 0:52:36we are going to strongly support the incredible men and women
0:52:36 > 0:52:43of law enforcement.
0:52:47 > 0:52:50I just signed an executive order directing Attorney-General Jeff
0:52:50 > 0:52:54Sessions to combat crimes of violence against our police,
0:52:54 > 0:52:59and the Department of Justice is now prioritising the prosecution
0:52:59 > 0:53:05of criminals who attack officers of the law.
0:53:08 > 0:53:12We are also working round the clock to keep our nation
0:53:12 > 0:53:18safe from terrorism.
0:53:20 > 0:53:25My administration has taken historic steps to improve screening
0:53:25 > 0:53:32and vetting for those seeking visas to enter the United States.
0:53:32 > 0:53:38We have seen the attacks from 9/11 to Boston, to San Bernardino.
0:53:38 > 0:53:41We have seen the bloodshed overseas, you look at what is happening
0:53:41 > 0:53:44in other countries.
0:53:44 > 0:53:48We already have enough problems to worry about in the United States
0:53:48 > 0:53:51which we love so much.
0:53:51 > 0:54:00We don't need to be admitted and people who want to press, hurt,
0:54:00 > 0:54:03We don't need to be admitting people who want to oppress, hurt,
0:54:03 > 0:54:04or kill innocent Americans.
0:54:04 > 0:54:06They are not coming in.
0:54:06 > 0:54:09Let me state this as clearly as I possibly can.
0:54:09 > 0:54:12We are going to keep radical Islamic terrorists
0:54:12 > 0:54:16the hell out of our country.
0:54:16 > 0:54:23CHEERING
0:54:38 > 0:54:41So, I have a question for you.
0:54:41 > 0:54:44You have been to a lot of rallies, you have seen a lot of rallies.
0:54:44 > 0:54:47First of all, is there any place like a Trump rally?
0:54:47 > 0:54:54In all fairness.
0:54:54 > 0:54:56CROWD: No!
0:54:56 > 0:54:59So, I did this a little bit during the rally,
0:54:59 > 0:55:01I haven't done it in a long time.
0:55:01 > 0:55:06Who has heard the poem called The Snake?
0:55:06 > 0:55:09So I have it, does anybody want to hear it again?
0:55:09 > 0:55:12Are you sure?
0:55:12 > 0:55:16OK.
0:55:19 > 0:55:23Let's dedicate this to General Kelly, the border patrol,
0:55:23 > 0:55:29and the ICE agents for doing such an incredible job.
0:55:29 > 0:55:32Alright.
0:55:32 > 0:55:36This was written by Al Wilson a long time ago.
0:55:36 > 0:55:39I thought of it having to do with our borders
0:55:39 > 0:55:41and people coming in, and we know what we're going to
0:55:42 > 0:55:45have, were going to have problems.
0:55:45 > 0:55:50have, we're going to have problems.
0:55:50 > 0:55:53We have to very carefully vet, we have to be smart,
0:55:53 > 0:55:54we have to be vigilant.
0:55:54 > 0:55:55Here it is, the Snake.
0:55:55 > 0:56:01It's called the Snake.
0:56:01 > 0:56:04"On her way to work one morning, down the path along the lake.
0:56:04 > 0:56:09A tenderhearted woman saw a poor, half-frozen snake.
0:56:09 > 0:56:13His pretty coloured skin had been all frosted with the dew.
0:56:13 > 0:56:15Poor thing, she cried.
0:56:15 > 0:56:16I'll take you in!
0:56:16 > 0:56:20And I'll take care of you."
0:56:20 > 0:56:22The border.
0:56:22 > 0:56:27"Take me in O tender woman, take me in for heaven sake.
0:56:27 > 0:56:30"Take me in O tender woman, take me in for heaven's sake.
0:56:30 > 0:56:34Take me in O tender woman, sighed the vicious snake.
0:56:34 > 0:56:42She wrapped him up all cosy, in a comforter of silk.
0:56:42 > 0:56:48And laid him by her fireside, with some honey and some milk.
0:56:48 > 0:56:49APPLAUSE
0:56:49 > 0:56:58She hurried home from work that night, and as soon as she arrived,
0:57:00 > 0:57:06she found that pretty snake she'd taken in, had been revived.
0:57:06 > 0:57:10Take me in, O tender woman, take me in for heaven sake.
0:57:10 > 0:57:13Take me in, O tender woman, sighed that vicious snake.
0:57:13 > 0:57:14She clutched him to her bosom.
0:57:14 > 0:57:23You're so beautiful, she cried.
0:57:23 > 0:57:26But if I had not brought you in by now, oh heavens,
0:57:26 > 0:57:30you would have died.
0:57:30 > 0:57:38She stroked his pretty skin again, and kissed him and held him tight.
0:57:38 > 0:57:47But instead of saying, thank you, that snake gave her a vicious bite.
0:57:51 > 0:57:57Take me in, O tender woman, take me in for heaven sake.
0:57:57 > 0:57:59Take me in, O tender woman, sighed the vicious snake.
0:57:59 > 0:58:00I have saved you, cried the woman.
0:58:00 > 0:58:02And you've bitten me!
0:58:02 > 0:58:07Heavens, why?
0:58:07 > 0:58:15You know your bite is poisonous, and now I'm going to die.
0:58:15 > 0:58:22Oh shut up silly woman, said the reptile with a grin.
0:58:22 > 0:58:32You knew damn well I was a snake, before you took me in."
0:58:34 > 0:58:40APPLAUSE
0:58:44 > 0:58:46Does that explain it, folks?
0:58:46 > 0:58:51Does that explain?
0:58:51 > 0:58:57Keeping America safe also means rebuilding our defences.
0:58:57 > 0:58:59Under the leadership of General Mad Dog Mattis,
0:58:59 > 0:59:06and he is doing great, he is doing great.
0:59:06 > 0:59:08And by the way, he is the man that recommended
0:59:08 > 0:59:09General Kelly.
0:59:09 > 0:59:12I said - Maddog you've got to give me a great
0:59:12 > 0:59:14general for the border.
0:59:14 > 0:59:16He gave me a great general, General Kelly.
0:59:16 > 0:59:18We've begun the process of rebuilding our
0:59:18 > 0:59:20military and restoring full readiness.
0:59:20 > 0:59:28We are also protecting taxpayer dollars.
0:59:28 > 0:59:33I've already saved more than $725 million on a simple
0:59:33 > 0:59:34order of F-35 planes.
0:59:34 > 0:59:38I got involved in the negotiation.
0:59:38 > 0:59:42And there's billions of dollars to be saved on
0:59:42 > 0:59:46that and many other things.
0:59:46 > 0:59:47We've also stepped up the fight against
0:59:47 > 0:59:53Isis and we will not stop until Isis has been destroyed.
0:59:53 > 0:59:59APPLAUSE
0:59:59 > 1:00:00At the same time, we've strengthened
1:00:00 > 1:00:07our friendships and alliances all around the world.
1:00:07 > 1:00:09For instance, we were very proud to quietly work with
1:00:09 > 1:00:12the Egyptian government last week, to ensure that an American citizen,
1:00:12 > 1:00:15a beautiful young woman, named Iya, came home, after being in an
1:00:15 > 1:00:21Egyptian prison for the past three years.
1:00:27 > 1:00:31She was going to be there for another 28 years.
1:00:31 > 1:00:37President Obama worked diligently for three years,
1:00:37 > 1:00:43didn't get them out.
1:00:43 > 1:00:45I met with President El-Sisi there and it worked out
1:00:45 > 1:00:46quickly and he was great.
1:00:46 > 1:00:54He was great about it.
1:00:54 > 1:01:02And not only did and not only did the court system
1:01:02 > 1:01:04in Egypt and President El-Sisi let her out,
1:01:04 > 1:01:05but they let out her husband
1:01:05 > 1:01:08and they let out a total of eight people that were innocent
1:01:08 > 1:01:11and they are all back here right now.
1:01:11 > 1:01:13Now, they won't include that in the 100 days but I'm very proud
1:01:13 > 1:01:16to have done it and she is a happy young woman, believe
1:01:16 > 1:01:25me, she's very happy.
1:01:28 > 1:01:37I said, "How tough was it in that prison?"
1:01:52 > 1:01:54She said, "You don't want to know.
1:01:54 > 1:01:55That was a tough prison."
1:01:55 > 1:01:58We are also getting Nato countries to contribute their fair share,
1:01:58 > 1:02:00they're beginning to increase their contribution by billions
1:02:00 > 1:02:02of dollars but we are not going to be satisfied until everyone
1:02:02 > 1:02:06pays what they owe and I've been complaining about that for a long
1:02:06 > 1:02:10time and it is a lot different now but they still owe a lot of money.
1:02:10 > 1:02:11Over the last eight years, America's average military
1:02:11 > 1:02:14and defence spending was double what all other Nato
1:02:14 > 1:02:15countries spent, combined.
1:02:15 > 1:02:16Not fair.
1:02:16 > 1:02:19As we worked to get other countries to pay their fair share abroad,
1:02:19 > 1:02:21we will continue our rebuilding at home.
1:02:21 > 1:02:23We're rebuilding everything including, by the way,
1:02:23 > 1:02:24our great military.
1:02:24 > 1:02:26We will have the finest military that we have ever had at any time
1:02:26 > 1:02:28in the history of our country.
1:02:33 > 1:02:36Last week my economic team outlined one of the biggest tax cuts
1:02:36 > 1:02:37in American history, even bigger than that
1:02:37 > 1:02:42of Ronald Reagan.
1:02:42 > 1:02:45We are proposing major tax relief for the middle class,
1:02:45 > 1:02:54and lowering the business tax from 35% all the way down to 15%.
1:02:54 > 1:02:58APPLAUSE
1:02:58 > 1:03:01And you will see companies expand, companies come
1:03:01 > 1:03:03back into our country, companies not leave our country
1:03:03 > 1:03:06any more because taxes and regulations are so ownerous.
1:03:06 > 1:03:10You will see what happens.
1:03:10 > 1:03:19Let me also be very clear in saying that we are going to save American's
1:03:25 > 1:03:27healthcare and repeal and replace that disaster known as Obamacare
1:03:27 > 1:03:28which is dying, dying, dying.
1:03:28 > 1:03:31Obamacare is dead, anyway, folks.
1:03:31 > 1:03:37You know, they always like to compare - well
1:03:37 > 1:03:38what about Obamacare?
1:03:38 > 1:03:40Oh, Obamacare it's dead, it's gone.
1:03:40 > 1:03:43The increases were massive this year, they are going to be bigger
1:03:43 > 1:03:44this year and the insurance companies are fleeing.
1:03:44 > 1:03:48One of the top people in the insurance industry said -
1:03:48 > 1:03:51Obamacare is in a death spiral, there is nothing they can do.
1:03:51 > 1:03:52So they can't compare something to it because it
1:03:53 > 1:04:02won't be there very long.
1:04:05 > 1:04:10Believe me it can't be there very long.
1:04:10 > 1:04:13It is not working, it is a failure.
1:04:13 > 1:04:17Under Obamacare we have seen double and triple digit hikes in prepare
1:04:17 > 1:04:20premiums and many Americans left with only a single insurer to chose
1:04:20 > 1:04:22from and now many of those insurers are fleeing also.
1:04:22 > 1:04:25You have places like the great state of Tennessee,
1:04:25 > 1:04:29where I left two weeks ago, where half of the state already has
1:04:30 > 1:04:31no insurance carrier.
1:04:31 > 1:04:32And many others.
1:04:32 > 1:04:36So, Obamacare is a catastrophe created by Democrats in Congress.
1:04:36 > 1:04:42They know it is no good.
1:04:42 > 1:04:43They know it's not working.
1:04:43 > 1:04:45By the way, we are going to get something great.
1:04:45 > 1:04:48We are going to get the premiums down, we are going to get
1:04:48 > 1:04:52the deductibles way down.
1:04:52 > 1:04:59We're going to take care of every single need you will want to have
1:04:59 > 1:05:02taken care of but it's not going to cost that kind of money.
1:05:03 > 1:05:05We are going to bring it down.
1:05:05 > 1:05:07You will see it, premiums down, we are going to repeal and replace
1:05:07 > 1:05:09Obamacare, you watch.
1:05:09 > 1:05:13We are going to give Americans the freedom to purchase the health
1:05:13 > 1:05:14care plans they want, not the health care forced
1:05:14 > 1:05:23on them by the government.
