:00:12. > :00:16.The Prime Minister has changed her mind this morning or this afternoon

:00:17. > :00:21.in Wales, what's your verdict on this? She's not changed her mind at

:00:22. > :00:25.all. The dementia tax is still sadly alive and well. We're just told how

:00:26. > :00:28.much it will be after the election. The British people's intelligence is

:00:29. > :00:31.being insulted by a woman who started this morning being cruel and

:00:32. > :00:35.now has added chaos to that. Some people are calling it a U-turn.

:00:36. > :00:39.She's saying it's not a U-turn, what are you calling it? It's not a

:00:40. > :00:43.U-turn. She's clearly carrying on with the dementia tax. Millions of

:00:44. > :00:47.people out there, who run the risk of being victims of this dementia

:00:48. > :00:51.tax and indeed not just those who have or who care for people with

:00:52. > :00:54.dementia, what about people with multiple Cher owess or other

:00:55. > :00:58.long-term conditions and their loved ones? It looks like nine in ten

:00:59. > :01:03.houses of those families in this country are now at risk from Theresa

:01:04. > :01:07.May's ongoing dementia tax, that she will give no clarity over. She has

:01:08. > :01:10.put a cap on it, something she said she wouldn't previously. She's not

:01:11. > :01:14.put any figure on the cap. The Liberal Democrats have been clear on

:01:15. > :01:19.what our cap is, a lower manageable figure of ?72,000 funded in part

:01:20. > :01:22.about our penny of income tax to fund health and social care. Do you

:01:23. > :01:26.not think if there was a low acceptable cap on this tax she would

:01:27. > :01:29.have told us already. The fact that there's going to be consultation

:01:30. > :01:32.that we find out after the election, when the people of Britain are

:01:33. > :01:35.supposed to have given her a land slide majority that somehow will

:01:36. > :01:42.satisfy millions of people, fearful that the tax is coming their way,

:01:43. > :01:45.that just stretches inreduality. You're saying that nothing's changed

:01:46. > :01:49.then? Nothing has changed whatsoever. We started off with

:01:50. > :01:52.cruelty from Theresa May and she's added chaos to that cruelty. It's

:01:53. > :01:56.another reason why people need to vote for a party who offer the only

:01:57. > :02:00.and best chance of defeating Conservative MPs around this

:02:01. > :02:04.country. As things stand, Theresa May with a huge majority that she

:02:05. > :02:07.now expects in two and a bit weeks time, will feel she's got the right

:02:08. > :02:11.to do all these things, to cut schools, to cut hospitals and now

:02:12. > :02:15.time pose the dementia tax on vulnerable people and families

:02:16. > :02:19.around the country. OK, you're not calling it a U-turn because your

:02:20. > :02:22.party made a U-turn previously on tuition fees? I don't call something

:02:23. > :02:26.a U-turn when it's not. That would mean that Theresa May had gone back

:02:27. > :02:30.on the tax. She hasn't. She's put a cap on something which she said she

:02:31. > :02:36.wouldn't. She's not. She said there would be a cap the other side of the

:02:37. > :02:40.election. Even the most credulous person out there is not going to be

:02:41. > :02:43.taken in, this is going to cost you your house, we won't tell you how

:02:44. > :02:49.much until after you've voted for me. You said before, you have

:02:50. > :02:53.compared her to captain manering, is that correct or just something I

:02:54. > :02:58.read? You may have overheard it. She's left Margaret Thatcher more

:02:59. > :03:01.captain Manering, it's more case of don't panic more than strong and

:03:02. > :03:03.stable. Moving on, question I need to ask you about Trident. What is

:03:04. > :03:17.your policy? We don't agree with Jeremy Corbyn

:03:18. > :03:23.that giving up weapons is a wise thing to do. In an insecure world

:03:24. > :03:27.retaining its deterrent, in a world where others have theirs is the wise

:03:28. > :03:35.thing. It is important to remember that our member of the Security

:03:36. > :03:42.Council, allows us the ability to negotiate others weapons away. Your

:03:43. > :03:47.figures, the poll figures in The Papers, we are looking at 8 or 9%,

:03:48. > :03:51.is this anti-Brexit not working? The poll ratings have been edging up and

:03:52. > :03:56.we are encouraged by that, with two weeks to go people have a clear

:03:57. > :04:00.choice, we know Labour are likely to lose 50-100 seats. Labour's

:04:01. > :04:04.briefings are saying that, we expect the SNP to lose seats, say that to

:04:05. > :04:07.demonstrate the one party with a chance of making gains from the

:04:08. > :04:11.Conservative, and therefore preventing the landslide that will

:04:12. > :04:14.give Theresa May permission to bring in the dementia tax, to scrap free

:04:15. > :04:18.school meal, to cut schools in other way, the only vote that will achieve

:04:19. > :04:23.that is a Liberal Democrat one. Why were you here today speaking to an

:04:24. > :04:27.SMA We are here to support entrepreneurs on a day when leaders

:04:28. > :04:31.wrote to the Liberal Democrats as being the party of business. The

:04:32. > :04:36.Conservatives have turned their back on the single market and showed them

:04:37. > :04:39.to be a protectionist party, someone has to #12e7 up and support

:04:40. > :04:43.businesses large and small. A great opportunity do that today in person

:04:44. > :04:49.today. Are you going to be talking about other things about Brexit and

:04:50. > :04:52.the single market? Can we expect to hear other issues? The Liberal

:04:53. > :04:55.Democrats have been honest with the British people and said if you want

:04:56. > :04:59.the best health and social care services in the world, it is right

:05:00. > :05:03.we pay for them, that is the only way we can do it. We say we put a

:05:04. > :05:07.penny on income tax to raise that extra 6 billion a year, we are the

:05:08. > :05:11.one party with a costed proocean to undo Theresa May's cuts to school,

:05:12. > :05:15.we know two in three head teachers will sack at least one teacher,

:05:16. > :05:17.because of budget cuts and the Liberal Democrats with that costed

:05:18. > :05:22.plan to stop that. So if you want the kind of country where we value

:05:23. > :05:26.our school, value children, value older people, value our National

:05:27. > :05:28.Health service, the Liberal Democrat is the one party setting out a clear

:05:29. > :05:39.alternative.
